1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the altcoin holders hang on until the bull run comes ? on: April 12, 2023, 03:11:08 PM

Please share your opinions.

In investing, there is always a temptation, and it only takes a little carelessness for greed to surface and we will pay the price. In terms of investment, doge is a meme with no utility, and many say it's useless. But we come here to invest, and seek profit, so if it's an opportunity, we shouldn't miss it. For me, you buy doge at that price is not too much to worry about, doge will still recover and increase because there is still Elon behind. He's making good money with it, so there's no reason to ditch it now. If I invest in altcoins, I would rather invest in Doge than invest in old altcoin projects.

The Monte Carlo Open was immediately shocked by the quick defeat of Borna Coric, just watching the first set and the the second set for a while it was very visible how Coric experienced difficulties on this surface so Jarry won in straight sets. The match to look forward to is De Minaur vs A. Murray, De Minaur is the favorite because he is the 14th seed in this tournament but he is not a special player, so even though he is the favorite Murray will probably beat him even though in some meetings Murray has never managed to win but Murray has often impressed in the early rounds of tournaments.
I have stopped expecting things from Čorić years ago. He was supposed to be our next big thing, a solid top 10 player, and he's basically done nothing in his 7 or 8 professional years.
He did win in Cincinatti last year - which is a big achievement, don't get me wrong. But it's his only meaningful one - and he failed to build on it as well.
An average player with below average results. He's lucky to be in the top 20.

I will be honest here and say that I still think it takes a great deal of work to get into the top 20 of the list.

However, at the same time, I think it will not be too much to ask for more from someone who is in the top 20 if they can produce a better performance. And I also absolutely agree that as a player who is in the top 20, his achievements should look a little better compared to what it is right now. I am not sure if I agree with the statement that he is an average player. There is no doubt that his performance has been below average, however.
1223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 09, 2023, 08:07:17 PM
Chelsea will definitely try to perform at their best. And to repeat the events of 2020-21. In the 2020–21 season, they did not perform well in the Premier League but won the Champions League title. But this season the scenario is slightly different. Chelsea's overall condition is very poor. Their weaknesses in both attack and defense are quite visible. They also lost against Wolves in their last Premier League match. Is it possible to beat Madrid with such a poor performance?
I think this will be the very first time I'll be writing with some fear in me concerning this champions league game against Real Madrid. Frankly I thought the new manager factor will play in favour of Chelsea and we end up winning that game against wolves even though we have found it very difficult defeating them even when we're in our best form. The game was just a disappointment as that game has killed many fans hope they had for the champion league game. If we had win that game convincingly, I won't be here writing with such calmness in me. Real Madrid are a good side but not one Chelsea should be scared of.
Villarreal defeated Real Madrid in yesterday game so it isn't like they're undefeatable but one advantage Real Madrid has is that they can score goals meanwhile Chelsea looks like they don't know where to find the goal post to put the ball at the back of the net. Nobody in the squad can score and our only striker, Aubameyang isn't even eligible for the champion league squad because he wasn't registered and yet goalless players were registered. Well I just hope the game falls in Chelsea's favor because if we were to lose, then it'll be impossible to perform a comeback.

I don’t think people should worry too much about Real Madrid, getting beaten by Villarreal. Because after all that match was played right after the El Clásico. Of course, we know Real Madrid put 100% effort into the match against Barcelona. So it is understandable if they were not able to win the match right after that.

I still don’t think Real Madrid will face too many problems when they will play in the champions league match. After all, it is Chelsea against Real Madrid. And we all know how Chelsea has been performing recently. I don’t think the new manager of Chelsea is going to be able to change the outcome that we are all expecting.
1224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 09, 2023, 07:03:57 PM
Doesn’t finish in the second position give the club a little more money compared to finishing in the third position? I am not sure and I am genuinely asking. But the money that is given as incentive is not very different when it comes to the second and third position as far as I know.

I know it probably does not change anything. But Real Madrid is a club, which takes pride in almost anything they do. So, of course, they are going to try to finish in the second position rather than finishing in the third position. Honestly, if I was Real Madrid, at this moment, I would have actually gone for the champions league title, instead of worrying about the second position in La Liga.

Of course finishing as the second is better than the third. However it really is the truth that it doesn't change anything for Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Because no matter which position they are in both of them are still going to be a part of the Champions League. Real Madrid didn't even seem like they cared about the second spot truthfully. If they really cared about it then they wouldn't have lost to Villarreal like that in the first place.
They just let Villarreal make a comeback despite being behind. Would you expect such thing from Real Madrid normally? I wouldn't truthfully if they were in a title race seriously. Now it is obvious that they can't catch up with Barcelona so they just want to achieve the other remaining titles if they can. We would surely see them performing much more different in the Champions League.
1225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 09, 2023, 06:10:12 PM
Lazio did play very extraordinary in the match against Juventus. but Juventus also had an equally good game but in that match the shooting accuracy of the Juventus players was a little bad. so there are many opportunities that cannot be utilized properly. but Lazio throughout the match their attack line continued to make attacks with shooting accuracy which was also very impressive. The bottom line is that this is a very fierce and interesting match. I really enjoyed this fight.
For me the defeat to Juventus is not surprising, it's because Lazio's performance is currently doing well.
Lazio is unbeaten in their last 6 matches in Serie A, this certainly makes the team's confidence very much expected. Lazio certainly really hopes to qualify for the Champions League next season and must avoid defeat and dropping points in important matches.

The win over Juventus was very good, it means that Maurizio Sarri's plan is really effective at home. Currently Lazio has managed to collect 58 points from 29 matches, and they are 5 points ahead of Roma and 6 points from Milan.

Lazio really played very well in this match. They never, well almost never stopped attacking. And they also never let their guard down. I have to say in this match Juventus was not as good as Lazio. Lazio has played really attacking football.

But at the same time, I have to say both of the goals that have been scored by Lazio in this match happened because Juventus made some mistakes in defense. In almost both of the times one player in that far post was free. If Juventus had defended better, they might have got one point from this match.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 09, 2023, 05:21:08 PM
They are actually trying to just please the fans and other people by showing that they are trying. But the actual story is a bit different.
I absolutely agree with that they are not going to win anything anywhere. So they are trying to show that they certainly tried everything.

Of course, this is not a bad thing that they are showing some really good intent. Some people might see this as misleading.
However, I actually think this is going to be good for the morale of the players.

Its not really speculation, they realized they wont be winning anything anyway, so they decided to tank with the last 2 games. I mean normally last 2 games shouldn't matter too much, losing just two games shouldn't come with any difference in most other seasons, but in this season things are so weird that even losing 2 games in a row means you could be as low as 11-12th range I believe, and that is what they are trying to do. I understand that it won't be anything easy to accept this when you have an MVP level player, but it happened and they just gotta face the music and move on. Next year, they can give it a go and see if they will do anything better or not.
1227  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: April 09, 2023, 03:34:25 PM
Saving will never be able to produce anything, now we are familiar with cryptocurrencies that we can use as a means to get large income, saving will only make the banks bigger and make us poorer. The ratio between those who save money in banks and those who provide credit is so far away that saving money in banks will not increase.

But investing is also risky, there is no guarantee that the investment will always generate a return without risk. Saving and investing are two essential things if we want to live a proactive life in all circumstances. But investing also has certain risks, so I think it is better to set up savings first because life will have unforeseen events. Investment should be made only when we have extra money, we should not borrow or invest with money that cannot be lost.
1228  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will hit $1 million for the first time? on: April 08, 2023, 12:43:50 PM
I think bitcoin will hit $1,000,000 for sure, it’s obviously very difficult to estimate when. Just for fun though, I will join in. I think if we are still seeing 4 year cycles play out then that can give hs a starting point to make a prediction, the next halving is approx Q2 2024. The price usually moons approx one year after the block reward halving so I would estimate something like this -

Halving in 2024 ——-> 2025 cycle high of $200,000
Halving in 2028 ——-> 2029 cycle high of $500,000
Halving in 2032 ——-> 2033 cycle high of $1,000,000

Your estimate is very reasonable that if history continues to repeat itself in the future, then bitcoin will hit $1 million by the 2033 bull cycle. When bitcoin hits $1 million, that means bitcoin's market cap will reach nearly $20 trillion, twice the market capitalization of gold. Meanwhile, gold has taken centuries to reach its current $11 trillion market cap, so I don't think things will be that simple for bitcoin. Not to mention the market capitalization at that time will be very large compared to the capitalization of the stock market that has existed for hundreds of years. That is quite unrealistic, but the future is unpredictable, no one knows. Let's wait and see what happens.
1229  Economy / Speculation / Re: I missed the bottom or i have time to invest on: April 08, 2023, 12:33:21 PM
Don't feel like you missed anything. It's hard to predict where the button is gonna be. So if you want to buy Bitcoin just do it. If you think about it, bitcoin is still very very cheap compared to 2 years ago. So in some sense you are still early as hell.

If you will buy bitcoin right now and hold it for 5 or more years, you will see how early you actually bought it.

Many people missed last year's bottom because they didn't DCA and waited for a drop below $15k. But unfortunately, things didn't go as they expected, and now they are worried about the bitcoin prices going up they still haven't bought any. What OP is asking is to make a profit holding bitcoins for 1 year or less, and with the request, no one can answer him. If he can buy it now and hold it for 5 years, as you say, it will be easier.
1230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 07, 2023, 11:49:16 PM
Amadou Onana is a defensive player in Everton who had a good performance recently and that's why the price for this player increased recently also he is a young player and he can be a good investment for any team hiring this player even for other seasons. But I think Chelsea they won't have more chance than Arsenal for hiring this player mostly because Chslea doesn't have stability and they won't be in the champions league.
I think for both the clubs there will be lot of candidates before they consider getting Onana. There are lot of big names that both these big rivals are targetting. Of course Onana will be there but I think players like Rice, Bellingham , Estupinan, Tielemans and more are much before Onana. Whatever it will be it is sure that Chelsea will try to get what Arsenal is trying for.

There is no doubt that Amadou Onana is going to be best utilized if he is played as a CDM. It is my opinion that he will not be the best defender in the league. As a CM, he will also not be able to provide the team with too much value. It is important for whichever team tries to take him, to remember that he will be required to play as a central defender in a central midfield position. Now of course there are other options to consider other than Amadou Onana. However, if the budget is a bit tight, I think he could be a good option.
1231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 07, 2023, 06:01:48 PM
Holy Cow! Mishra ji still playing in the IPL, he's an antique piece as Dhoni but still kicking nicely. Don't remember anyone buying him in the auction.
Anyway SRH looks like burned af tonight, not sure if they can cross the 150 mark. The ball is turning for Mishra ji but SRH is a team of seamers so their chances are not looking that bright, maybe some terrific spell from Rashid?
Won't mind low scoring match tho.
No doubt he is doing things like Holy Cow in IPL because 40+ with below then average bowling and now skill in batting, but Delhi keep him for 4 crores in last four seasons with 2022 missed and now with the price tag of 5 million LSG buy him, and he is doing good job in his early round matches 14th appearance in IPL it's surely something which need good attention bowler like him is still in IPL and having decent money and place in best team of IPL as well.
Very poor batting from SRH keep them down in league even they have few top class batsmen around franchise leagues but still not able to have anything special in their two opening games right now LSG is in full control with Rahul and Pandya both are doing good job for the second win from third match at Lucknow.

It is actually very surprising to see Amit Mishra still play. And it is also surprising to say that he is actually doing a good job of it.

Anyway, it was a very poor getting from Sunrisers Hyderabad. They got to 121 in 20 over. That also didn’t have been possible if Abdul Samad did not have a cameo at the end of the innings. He got 21 from 10. That is probably the best and most positive thing to take away from this match for Hyderabad. Of course, LSG got a very easy win. Sunrisers will have to improve their performance.
1232  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will pump soon? Lower interest rates in june. on: April 07, 2023, 01:08:00 PM
Although bitcoin has had an impressive 50% recovery since the bottom, in the end, we all still don't know what will happen in the future. What we can do is stay calm and hold on no matter what happens.

I do not spread Fuds, but I am not as optimistic about the market as many are expecting. I believe this year, there will still be some tremors that make people panic again. Players have become smarter, the market will not be able to move so predictably. If the market continues to recover from now on and there is no correction, then we will have millions more millionaires created in the next bull season.
I think "bitcoin recovering 50% from the bottom" is actually what we know about the future. I mean I get that it is not a guarantee or anything like that, I get that you are not entirely sure, but isn't that increase tells you anything? I personally believe that if you end up buying bitcoin at this current stage, and then wait for it for a year or two, then you are going to profit from this.

To me, this is a fact, not something that may happen, not something that is potentially good, it is something that is a fact to me that if you buy now and hold for 2 years you will profit. This is why I do not agree that we do not know what the future will be like, I sort of know already and buying because of that.

What we are talking about is the short and medium term for this year, so I would say nothing is certain, and the future is unpredictable. But to talk about the long term or the future of bitcoin in the years to come, as a bitcoin investor, I always believe in bitcoin as well as my choice. Even if the new ATH doesn't happen after the next halving, I still believe in bitcoin, I never want bitcoin to go bad because it's my choice and it's profitable for me.
1233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will pump soon? Lower interest rates in june. on: April 06, 2023, 01:51:52 PM
I'm also optimistic that bitcoin will soon be a bull run, sometimes the small correction that is happening right now is a test for us whether we will panic or buy more, if we know bitcoin for at least 2 years then we will buy more, opportunities are limited and we will regret it if we miss it best chance to buy.
Most people are not in panic mode right now and that increase helped us become like this. If we had like a thousand dollars or so drop just a few months ago, then we wouldn't be able to hold this long, I would because I did, but many wouldn't because they panic sell.

However, since we moved from 16k levels to 28k levels, many people got a lot more brave and thanks to that we are doing a lot better. I hope that it happens to be something that is a lot better and we could end up with something that benefits us the most. I know it is not going to be easy to decide for something like this and it is going to hurt us a lot, but I believe we should just hold no matter what happens.

1234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can do 30k$ this month? on: April 06, 2023, 01:33:46 PM
Until now I'm still optimistic that $ 30k will happen in April, today the price rose again by about 3% to $ 28500, of course it's not difficult if it reaches $ 30k it only takes around $ 1500 or an increase of about 5%, even I'm sure the price is $ 30k will happen this week or maximum Sunday.

The $30,000 target isn't too hard for bitcoin, we're really close to it. But has anyone questioned, when bitcoin hits $30k, what will happen next? Will Bitcoin plummet below $20k and cause a series of panics in the market, or will it continue to conquer higher levels? We need to plan for those 2 scenarios instead of just expecting bitcoin to hit $30k and do nothing. If anyone is expecting that price to sell, they can also sell at the current price because the difference is not much.
1235  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your take on the price? on: April 06, 2023, 01:24:06 PM
I am not that affected by the swings of bitcoin nowadays. I just started another DCA last December and it is doing good so far. If bitcoin drops, I am happy because my next buy will be cheaper which means lowering my average cost. And if bitcoin increases, I am seeing the green gains in my portfolio tracker and it feels good. Bitcoin will continue to have swings and some of them might be big swings but still, I am optimistic that its price will be better than last year. Halving is coming, so we expect a better year.

I also started accumulating last year, and compared to my average purchase price, I was profitable. But if you give me one wish, I would expect bitcoin to fall back rather than recover. I don't expect bitcoin to recover or a bull season will come soon, I want to buy a lot and accumulate bitcoin at the lowest possible price. I'm the complete opposite of the OP, I don't see any anxiety when bitcoin goes down, that's more interesting to me than a bull market.

Lol! To be honest, I have the same choice as you, if I were to decide which direction bitcoin is headed. I mean, it is more profitable to us if bitcoin dips since it will lower down our average price. My conservative assumption on the bitcoin price this coming 2025 is $100k minimum. This means if I continue to purchase bitcoin at $28k above, I might not be able to x4 my ROI with my conservative target. Anyways, maybe I'll just compensate for it with my altcoins which I also expect to grow a lot during a bull run.

Anyways, at least we are free from anxiety about the bitcoin price whether it goes up or down.

I also found allies Grin Grin. I don't think there will be many like us, most people are expecting the bitcoin price to recover and rise from now on rather than expecting it to fall back. Sooner or later, bitcoin will go up in price and hit a new ATH, so I'm in no hurry, I prefer bitcoin down more, longer so I can accumulate it at the highest possible discount. As you said, think about it, buying bitcoins for $20k and selling for $100k is more profitable than buying bitcoins for $40k. I really want to know why people don't like to buy at low prices.
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 05, 2023, 11:43:39 PM
I don't think Zidane will actually take up the job of Chelsea manager. After all, the team is not in a good situation. The players are not motivated at all. It is a risky job right now to take. Of course, the risk is going to mean that the reward is also going to be big if succeeded.

One thing can be done, bring Zidane and give him a huge amount of money to work with. That is surely going to have some success. Nagelsmann is a decent option. But I don't know if he can actually get far with this team. He will also probably end up getting Chelsea somehow in the top six.

Between Nagelsmann and Pochettino I think Nagelsmann is the most preferred choice for Chelsea, Pochettino has not had an impressive stat is the past few years having been sacked twice at Tottenham and Paris Saint German but Nagelsmann was having a good run this season having carried Bayern Munich through an unbeaten run to the quarter finals of the Champions league and in a good position in the league it was just unfortunate that he had to part ways due to some misunderstandings amongst his coaching staff and cause lots of tension so I think Nagelsmann is the best choice.
I suggest that Chelsea should ensure they have their time to scrutinize the market and to come out with a better decisions over which manager takes over Chelsea,  in the person that will be able to hit the ground running immediately after he's given the job opportunity and to try getting Chelsea out of this whole mess. As for me they should be in contact with Zinedine Zidane to know if he will be able to take charge of the Blues team because I see him more suitable to the job and Chelsea's current situation. but in his absence, Nagelsmann looks to me, a more better option than Pochettino.
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: April 05, 2023, 02:04:50 PM
...

Would be good to hear some views on this - are you for or against Doge?

I have no problem with anyone investing in altcoins or memes, as long as you accept the risk and you've done your research, you can invest without anyone's advice. The money is yours, you should decide for yourself because that is the profit you will get. A lot of people don't like doge because it's much riskier, but if you can take the risk, I'm sure that if successful, you will get more profit than those who are against you. Decide for yourself, don't invest according to other people's opinions.
1238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2022 bear market? on: April 05, 2023, 01:51:38 PM
...

Prediction is not easy and everyone cannot make such prediction but one can follow predictions from experts. As we see from the start the price was very high and goes more higher so we can say that this year  is very higher in worth and Bull run has been initiated.

In my opinion, no one can predict the bitcoin price, and no one can be called an expert, although I don't know how you define an expert. Self-proclaimed experts, like you and me, make predictions that may or may not happen, and no one can dare claim their predictions are certain to happen.

Bitcoin had impressive rallies in Q1, but that was not enough to prove that the bull season has begun, bitcoin could correct or even plunge at any time.
1239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you consider Bitcoin the best asset in the world? on: April 05, 2023, 01:40:47 PM
Why not, now more and more of the world's top companies are investing in bitcoin, the support of several exchanges such as crypto.com makes bitcoin more valuable and respected, almost every week I see UFC and crypto.com become official sponsors for almost 3 years.
The companies that are investing in Bitcoin or the exchanges that are supporting it are all doing it for their own benefits and not to make Bitcoin stronger or the best asset in the world, I don't say that Bitcoin isn't the best, it surely is, especially among all other cryptocurrencies, but when it comes to the safety of your investment, Bitcoin also has its risks.

There are other commodities or investment options out there that would keep your investment increasing over time without a decrease in its value, but Bitcoin is a volatile asset, and the value of your investment can change at any time from plus to minus and vice versa.

No investment is both safe and highly profitable, gold or real estate is considered the safest investment but also contains potential risks. For example, holding large amounts of gold also carries the risk of being stolen or confiscated, real estate becoming worthless when your country is at war, or being damaged in the event of an earthquake or tsunami. Bitcoin is no safer than those, but its return is commensurate with the risk. The higher the risk, the better the return, I find it worth the trade-off.

Yeah, I agree this is not nice. In her defense, I can say that she has just won the title and the adrenaline kicked in and perhaps she didn't even notice the kid. As to the match itself, imo Rybakina lost to herself not to Kvitova. Too many unforced errors. One of the worst matches for her this year.
Meanwhile, I'm switching to Charleston WTA 500 and definitely can't wait to see/bet on Monte Carlo (starting on April 9?). Clay season is starting soon, this is going to be interesting! Cool
I saw this on twitter, this clip shows the "full scene".
https://twitter.com/petexiao1/status/1642787982167121920?s=20
the way I see it is there were two wrongs and ita all about "time and place"
The mom of the kid is waaay to pushy and I think the kid kind of knows it doesnt feel right,
she is the only one invading the space, not the right place to ask for an autograph.
On Kvitova's side all the cameras are pointing in your direction and its only one autograph,
snubbing the kid probably wasnt the right thing to do at that time.

anyway back into clay season with a few ATP tournaments in action already, Estoril Portugal,
Marrakesh Morocco and  Houston USA but I have no idea who plays where yet

People are so much butt hurt about such small and silly situations. And I do not understand why the mother was pushing her child like that. I understand there are certain people you always tend to look up to. But these things, the over idolization can later cause mental problems and personality disorders in kids.

Anyway, I think no one is actually at fault here. The mother wanted her kid to have a memorable moment with a player. At the same time, the player also had other important things to do.
