With McDaniels' entry to the Meralco Bolts, i could say that they are now a serious contender for the championship trophy, they just need to win most of their remaining games as the standings right now is pretty much tight in the middle and yeah that win on the Dragons was the booster shot that they really needed.

KJ McDaniels is really superb. We already witnessed how good he is during his time with TNT and NLEX, and Meralco has a good decision to replace their import before it's getting too late. At least they can still have a chance to avoid being eliminated as long as they will establish continuous wins.

With Mcdaniel's return, Meralco's chance to be back in competition is now possible. Although they will really need to undergo as task tough and hard challenges as they really end up in the lower standing at this conference.
1222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal. on: November 04, 2022, 10:49:41 PM
As they say, it is better to have 1000 minnows than having just 1 whale because the business will be dead if this whale shifts to other casinos.

If we take a look at those famous crypto casinos here, I think none of them has an insane minimum required deposit before we can play. However, if a user is in a situation where they feel that they can't afford the minimum deposit, there are lots of other gambling sites to choose from.

Referring to OP's friend, a $10 budget on gambling is something that really not that much. There are also associated fees in every transfer that's why OP's friend might end up paying more fees if after losing that $10 budget, the eagerness to continue is still there as chasing loss is already common especially when a gambler got pumped up.
1223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 04, 2022, 10:03:20 PM

That Bivol winning via TKO is also attractive. Hard to decide but I think that might be the best bet based on my own preference.

Although my only concern on that bet is, Bivol is not that aggressive and his main forte' is to get as many as points every round.

But who knows that at some point, Bivol can crash Ramirez's defense which might lead to a KO punch that will seal the deal.
1224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: November 04, 2022, 09:59:12 PM
The factor I was saying is the condition of competitors, skills, latest performance, and advantages.  Knowing the history of the players, and the present condition, we will somehow have a hint which one will be victorious.  Unlike the other given games which rely solely on luck, sports betting relies on our skills of observation of the stated factors.

A good reference is somehow an advantage in pre-betting on a certain match. Even if we still need some luck in sports betting, we don't have to rely only on that in spors betting. There have been several times already that I rely on my own factors and strategy that give me a win compared to just relying everything on luck.

However, I can consider myself sometimes a risk-taker as I also risk betting with underdogs and multiple parlay legs for much better odds.
1225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 04, 2022, 09:50:14 PM
Their offense no doubt is still there with Steph Curry, but something has change regarding their defense this season. I think Steve Kerr knows this and for sure they wanted to snap that losing streak and take a win.

It's also unusual to see that the Golden State Warriors gave up that many points against a considered low-tier team. Defense is really the problem as Orlando Magic does even have a below-100 average total per game. The odds might be impressive at that time for the Magic when they are down by over 10+ points almost the entire game.

Really surprising to see those low-tier teams upsetting those dominant teams but still, when playoffs came, all eligible teams will start at 0-0 standing.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you watching Online Gambling Streams? Short survey and discussion on: November 04, 2022, 09:44:34 PM
Hello everyone!

In the last years gambling livestreams (mainly on Twitch) as well as gambling videos on YouTube gained more and more popularity. For my thesis I am looking for exactly such people who like to watch gambling livestreams.
If you watch livestreams where slots or other casino games are played, you are a very big help to me!

Would also love to hear your opinion on gambling livestreams below this post!

Yes, sometimes I watched online gambling Livestream but that depends on my own preference those streams catch my attention. No specific gambling content as long as I like to watch it.

I will take a look at that survey later. Does it have any deadline?

You are in the right place but it's better to share that survey too on another forum outside of crypto-gambling for a much better audience.

1227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 04, 2022, 09:41:36 PM
..... but If someone is willing to risk their money here, the winning reward is really great here than what you put on the line. The odds for Paul is really really tempting for the bettors, but then again you are gambling with the lowest chance and more likely to just donate your money lol.

Only crazy bettors would risk their money betting on Butler, or those who are rich enough to waste their money, LOL.. Kidding aside, the probability of winning for Inoue is very high, and Inoue is still in his prime so can't bet against him, he is the man and he is gonna make a history of his own.

I even think that even a solid fan of Paul Butler will not risk a decent amount of money betting on him. They just there supporting Butler but they understand the wide distance between him and Naoya Inoue and already accept the closest thing that will happen on the day of the fight.

Again, no offense to Butler fans but as a bettor, being a fan should sometimes be disregarded as we can't compare this fight to other fights that an underdog has a chance to upset the favorite. I don't see any way that Butler can upset a 100% healthy Inoue.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do? on: November 03, 2022, 11:46:05 PM
Any Solana investors here? Do you think its a good idea to switch bags from Solana to another top altcoins?

Are young going all-in on Solana? Actually, you can do diversification if you are concerned about investing in Solana.

There are lots of worthy coins out there that you can also consider putting up some money on while having a current investment in Solana.

Since everything is speculative, we don't know what will happen in the future therefore you really need to see to do some actual actions to see the result.
1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Beauty Of Metaverse on: November 03, 2022, 11:43:18 PM
Metaverse schooling to help Japanese city combat growing absenteeism. Government data showed that 244,940 Japanese elementary and junior high school students were absent for at least 30 days in FY 2021

Might be a new innovation and let's see if it can really solve that specific problem.

As for me, there might be other alternatives,s and not relying on Metaverse.

Maybe try to point out the general real reason why the number of Japanese students skipping class suddenly grows rapidly.
1230  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you like commission job or salary base job? on: November 03, 2022, 11:35:32 PM

People have different preferences and financial situations that's why whether it's a commission-based or salary-based job, both are useful at some point. There are even persons that already have a fixed salary base job but still doing part-time, freelance, or any other commission jobs just to maximize the potential earnings they can get although, on the other hand, it will take a toll on their physical and mental health.

As for me, that has a fixed job, I'm thankful to have a side income and other opportunities to earn. But everything should be balanced and not get to the point that I always feel exhausted because of taking on lots of different work at the same time.
1231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 02, 2022, 11:58:58 PM
Do you think that changing their import will help the team reach the playoffs? In general, a team need at least 6 wins in order to secure a spot in the playoffs. It will be hard for KJ, but I guess he can do it since he already did with NLEX on his last stint.

With their worst standing right now, no choice after all but to really made some changes that's why yes, changing their import is necessary.

We know the capability of KJ McDaniels that if only the pandemic didn't delay the last year's PBA, we might see NLEX competing at the top.

KJ McDaniels now played on all MVP teams, starting from Talk N Text, NLEX, and now, Meralco.
1232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal. on: November 02, 2022, 11:53:55 PM
Someone with a strict budget of gambling with $10, decides to start online gambling after been told by a friend, but on signing up discovers that the minimum deposit accepted is above the amount budgetted for gambling. Does high minimum deposit fees from online casino discourage gamblers who want to stick to a budget and influences them to gamble with bigger amounts? If yes, and that perhaps is a reason behind many other online casinos keeping their minimum deposits as low as $1, Could low minimum deposit be an encouragement for people to come gamble regardless of the money they have to gamble? Does minimum withdrawal encourage players to try again and keep gambling if they don't win up to the minimum withdrawal?

There's no discouragement here. If a user can't afford to meet the minimum deposit required, then don't gamble at all.

There are lots of people who can afford that minimum deposit amount, why the site should adjust for these users who are strict in budget?

It's not with the gambling site but why these persons who have a strict budget will do gambling? If they are really decided to do it, then it's just common that they need to adjust and cross the line of their budgets to pursue gambling.
1233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling house responisbilty to protect people data on: November 02, 2022, 11:49:54 PM
How about the Data Privacy laws enacted? The European Union has GDPR and I'm pretty sure other countries outside also have their own version of it. What I'm saying is that it depends on where these casinos are operating or where their license come from. You'll have strict implementation of data privacy law if it's from Europe.

I think that kind of law doesn't cover crypto-gambling sites even if the operation is under that certain country.

Besides, there's no need for such laws (don't get me wrong as it's really necessary at some point) as there's no way a gambling site will just post the name of the winners in public. I really never heard of that case on a gambling site. The only publicized jackpot winners are those who played live on television or in a game show.
1234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: November 02, 2022, 11:46:10 PM
We have an active gambling discussion section and I would very much love to hear the opinions of experienced gamblers on which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting?

Technically, our chance of winning is higher by playing gambling where a real strategy can be applied.

Obviously, among those, it's only sports betting where we can increase our chances of winning. The usual casino games and lotteries need damn luck to win because results here are based on certain algorithms and house edge can affect too were in the first place, it was designed to give casinos the advantages in the long run.

There's one missing that real strategy can be applied and that is strategy-based gambling games like poker, chess, PVP games etc.
1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This days you can't predict what will make you vulnerable to hack, I need answer on: November 02, 2022, 11:40:32 PM
Is it safe to go on google search and type " how to add polygon to metamask"? I ask this because this days you can only stay one step ahead of scammers if you are getting information fast.

Technically safe if you understand well what you are doing. I know you are lurking on the internet for years, I'm sure you are using common sense at some point.

Besides, from the example you have given, it's impossible for me that you will lost on the way by reading those results in a Google search.

More importantly, just make sure that you don't dump or shared your private keys elsewhere.
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do think that POGO should be declared as legal or Illegal ? on: November 02, 2022, 11:35:04 PM

POGO is technically legal as long as these gambling companies comply with all the necessary needs to make their operation legal. For a gambling-friendly country like the Philippines or any other, of course, the only allowed gambling companies to operate are only those who have the required license that was being approved by PAGCOR.

The problem is not the POGO itself but it's usual to see that there are lots of gambling companies that operate illegally. These companies, since not regulated, are saving their asses in paying taxes and they also compete with legal gambling operations.

There might be some corruption too that's why some illegal gambling companies can operate under the shadows and that's where the problem starts.
1237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 31, 2022, 11:27:37 PM
Yeah! It's weird but they making lots of money here due to the demand of the crowd which is increasing every new fight. What I mean by that, is they are inviting new audience whenever there is a new fight. That's why we see more veterans boxers are doing the same thing right now. Just look at Manny Pacquiao, who is he fighting now?

One reason is, there are people who didn't able to witness some of the popular boxers before during their active days that's why exhibition matches are the only way for these people to see again these Legends fighting in the ring regardless of the event or how sh*t the reason is why that fight was held.

Referring to Jake Paul, he can really make decent money on his future fights because there are people who want to witness his 1st lose not realizing they are just contributing to the revenue of that said match. He can still save his legacy though by fighting a caliber real boxer on his level.
1238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are five things you will do if you win huge amount of money?? on: October 31, 2022, 11:22:40 PM
What are the major five things you will do if win huge amount money?. Is it to buy are car or start a business?        Let's discuss about it together.

How much is the "huge amount" we talking about here?

I'm not the type of gambler that will do advanced thinking of how will I use the huge money if ever I will win it. It will just create an expectation every time you gamble and in case of a failed win, that will just be a dream.

Stop with that nonsense dream but instead, hope for the best that you will win big someday. How to use that huge money can be think later on.

1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it really possible to quit on these reasons on: October 31, 2022, 11:19:23 PM
when you win a very large amount of money in the game of chance, the person needs to stop playing for a long time and when he starts playing again, the person needs to be aware that he will not win again a lot of money and that the recommended thing is that the person does not make big bets and don't chase losses, the person has to stop thinking that everything will be like in the past, making high bets will make the person addicted and lose everything that until the time comes when he will be addicted

Sounds easy but hard to do. Quitting gambling requires a serious approach and dedication.

Regardless of the reason, a person itself should try to find a way not to push on gambling anymore.

Aside from that, there's actually no need to fully stop gambling but casual gambling will do and from there slowly minimize the time spent on gambling.
1240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling house responisbilty to protect people data on: October 31, 2022, 11:16:40 PM
Ideally, gambling houses should not disclose the identity of the person who won big without first asking him. Unfortunately, this is not respected always.

Those gamblers who do not want their information to be public, but the gambling houses make their names public, can go to the court of law as this is a serious offense. Gamblers can claim damages to the gambling site on this basis. Do you think gamblers should take the help of courts in this case ?

Before being ended up in that situation, can you give examples of that gambling house that publicly mentioned their winners? I think that's not a usual case as there are even times that even if someone won big, there's no prompt given to all users on that gambling house.

Besides, if we talk about crypto-gambling, there's no KYC at some point. Even if it has, I don't see yet a case where after a crypto-site asks KYC for their big winners, they will reveal to the public the identity of the winner.

Can you give more details about your topic?
