401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How's your gambling experience right now? on: May 09, 2023, 11:26:18 PM
Is anyone still playing today with this high fee? I think those gamblers that leave funds in the casino are very happy that they didn't need to experience this fee drama.

Not touching any Bitcoin-related deposits in the meantime, regardless of the service for an obvious reason. Although there's an alternative aside from bitcoin deposit depending on the supported cryptocurrencies of the said site.

As for my gambling activity, I'm currently spending more time on fiat-based online casinos since I hooked up at some popular game providers there such as Jilli, PG, KA, BNG, and BP games. There are also providers there that we can see in crypto-gambling sites such as Play And Go and Yggdrasil.

I'm looking forward that my favorite crypto-game slot provider, Thunderpick will soon touch fiat online casinos, or to be specific, here in our local.
402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer Original Slots or slots from 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 09, 2023, 10:49:38 PM
You could try to email/message the casino itself and ask about which slot games are original and which are not. I am sure they would tell you.

Not necessarily needed as every user should see it clearly in the site's interface.

If you play regularly in an online casino specifically slots, whether fiat or crypto, you should see the game providers list on the header in most cases. If not on the header, maybe on the part of the site but it's something you can easily see right away. If you don't see any, we can assume all slot games there are owned by the said gambling site but I don't see any gambling sites nowadays that only have original slot games on their platform.

Using a 3rd part slot provider is also a way of attracting users as some hardcore slot players are loyal to a game provider because of some reasons such as; they won big at that game provider regardless of the slots, they always feel lucky at those slots under that provider and something along those lines.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 09, 2023, 10:27:34 PM

Damn, Loonie Walker IV! Almost outscored the whole Warriors team alive in the 4th Quarter of the Game 4 series.
(4th Quarter: Walker = 15 points | Warriors = 17 points)

Take note, Walker is not even utilized much by the Lakers this entire playoff series and just always warming the bench most of the time, and yet still found his rhythm and shooting stroke here in Game 4 even though he was just started his momentum at the final phase of the game. All those 15 points he made that game were all in 4th quarter. He's almost even forgotten as part of the Lakers roster lol and I'm sure because of his recent performance, Coach Ham might consider him giving consistent playing time or maybe, a starter.

The number 14 seed in the West who rallied with tough challenges late in the season just to get a chance to play for the play-in tournament and able to finish at 7th Seed is now close to Western Conference Finals. Who wouldn't taught that the Lakers can make it this far as before, almost the entire NBA community, and even Lakers fan already accepts that the Lakers are done this season and won't make it to the playoffs.
404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: May 07, 2023, 11:53:12 PM
In short Chatgpt only advises a player for possible moves but not directly instructing the player to do this and that.  It is still the human player who decide the action to make.  With this, Chatgtp us far from dominating poker online games let alone destroying.

We can compare this to a sport where a coach is giving advice to its players. When a player returns to the actual situation, those given advice will depend on the given situation. In other words, there are lots of "what if" here.

Let's say Chat GTP gives recommendations, other players on the table surely have their own respective strategies, and in the end, still nothing changes, the game is still a skill-based game and Chat GPT has nothing to do about ruining the overall gameplay of online poker.

Honestly, it's even more confusing to rely on the AI's recommendations. If a player is skilled enough, the best strategy will only be made by them.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 07, 2023, 07:11:13 PM

The Gilas Pilipinas is now ready in action for their debut game on the 32nd South East Asian games on Tuesday led by the first PBA import to be naturalized for the Philippine National Basketball Team, Justin Brownlee. He mentioned after losing his first PBA finals that he will do his best to help the nationals take back the gold medal at SEA Games basketball after the embarrassing loss against the underdog Indonesia last year.

Team Captain: Chris Ross

Official 12-man roster: CJ Perez, Chris Ross, Marcio Lassiter, Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, Calvin Oftana, Christian Standhardinger, Chris Newsome, Arvin Tolentino, Mason Amos, Michael Philips, Jerom Lastimosa

Alternate: Aaron Black, Ben Philips

Out: Jeremiah Gray (injury)

SEA Games basketball is supposed to be just a tune-up game for the Gilas. With Justin Brownlee on board, I'm expecting a clean record for the nationals. No way the defending champion Indonesia, if ever they will meet Gilas again at the Finals, will have a 2-winning streak against the Philippines.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 07, 2023, 04:09:15 PM
He has to stay in focus. Poole has a very important role in the Golden State Warriors team. There is no excuse for him not being able to perform well enough for the team. He has to keep his ego aside when he is not being able to score and he has to learn to pass the ball at the time.

Jordan Poole is already playing horribly at some games way back in 1st Round of the Playoffs against the Sacramento King therefore why has just now been the focus of adjustment? As a result, Steve Kerr limits his usual playing time and starts shuffling his starters. As I noticed, when Poole is playing for less than 20 minutes on average, he is not performing well. He even claimed that he deserves more playing time like when Kerr put him on his average playing time in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Lakers.

But if we look deeply at the Warriors' situation, is Poole really the main factor? is Poole the one to blame for why the Warriors are not consistent?

Let's give credit instead to Darvin Ham's good strategy last game shuffling players on their defense possession. He was able to take note of what Kerr did on the Warriors' offensive gameplay in the Game 2 win and worked out a good countermeasure. The Warriors are playing horribly last game because the Lakers make them behave like that.
407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: May 07, 2023, 03:27:14 PM
For me, John Riel Casimero should focus on some upper-rank bouts this will not surely add to his experience that much, but it will surely add up to his winning record, but for me a step-up fight for Casimero should be Luis Nery, or Ra'eese Aleem that is rank 3 and 2 in the WBO Super Bantamweight division, then after that focus on the IBF,

The problem is, those on the upper rank have nothing to gain if they will fight Casimero at this point. Casimero's camp really wants to push for a good fight in order to be recognized and climb the ranking but they are starting from scratch since entering the 122 lbs division. No choice but to accept fights even against a non-popular boxer.

Casimero needs to remain active in the ring for at least 2 fights per year regardless of the opponent as the goal is to be recognized. His debut fight on the 122 is against a low-tier boxer but with how Casimero shows dominance in that fight, the WBC has given him an 8th rank right away. The WBO also ranked him 5th.

If Casimero will show a dominant landslide victory, or much better a deadly KO win, he will surely again be recognized and will be given a much higher rank. One step closer to having a chance to fight those at the upper rank.
408  Economy / Gambling / Re: Land base slot vs Online slot RTP on: May 07, 2023, 02:57:44 PM
For the casino owners who say that they don't have the info, how come?

Almost all online casinos, whether fiat or crypto, use third-party game providers.

Casino owners don't have access to those games "technically".

I think they will check their games first before they deploy it in public because what if the games have a higher RTP than usual? It will only make them lose easily.

It doesn't mean that the provided RTP is high, the winning chance is great. That's not how RTP works. Even for a 95% RTP, the chances of losing are more to happen compared to winning. High RTP sometimes misleads online gamblers into thinking the return will be great.

If that's the case, RTP won't be invented in the first place and used as an attraction to gamblers.

Land based casino might have a better ambiance but there are still other things that needs to be sacrifice other than RTP.

From the very first place, there's no need to compare Land-Based Casinos and Online Casinos in terms of their respective general characteristics e.g ambiance, comfortability, convenience, environment, etc. Comparing the technical side should be more appropriate.
409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: May 06, 2023, 11:50:52 PM
Same reason why Crawford made a gamble and left Bob Arum's roof because in that way, his chance to finally make the undisputed fight got more chances because Bob Arum is not included in the said equation anymore. But even after that, it's still too much too ask because up until now, there are no positive signs.

Might be a different story and at least a bit of improvement on the progress of the long-awaited mega-fight between Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford if the latter didn't stay as a free agent for long and found another good-caliber promoter. It seems difficult to organize a mega bout if one of the parties doesn't have any promoter. As a result, the dominant promoter will only dictate the proposed terms and the free agent has nothing to do about it but to just agree, agree and agree just for the fight to happen.

Knowing Terence Crawford's personality, even as a free agent, he is not dumb to just follow the terms for the fight against Spence Jr. to fully materialize. Not unless Crawford is ready to do anything, accept anything, fine with disadvantages, accept a 20% purse split lol, just to build his legacy in the 147 lbs division, the fight will happen easily. But again that was a dumb thing to do for him and it will just make him look desperate.

That's how bullsh*t the sanctioning bodies are at some point.

I'm really annoyed at Spence. I can understand Crawford's sacrifice by leaving Top Rank just to try to make the Spence fight. Crawford is a big talent but he is not as popular and influential as Canelo who went to PBC and face their own fighter with his own conditions. So I agree that it will be very hard to make deals without a big promoter, especially when dealing with PBC. As a result, Bud became inactive for a year and until now there is no solid news that his dream for a chance of becoming the first-ever 2-division undisputed champion (4 belt era) gets materialized.

I agree that Bud despite not having a promoter will just easily agree to all the demands and exploitations of Spence and PBC. If I were Crawford, I will continue the talk with Spence but at the same time, I will also start accepting offers from big promoters. He is secured of his legacy anyways, unlike Spence. Maybe Eddie Hearn of Matchroom can offer him a good contract.

IfI remembered correctly, the Golden Boy Promotions consider reaching out or the best term would be, show interest, in assisting Terence Crawford to make the mega bout against Errol Spence be materialized for real. Oscar Dela Hoya is truly agree what Top Rank Bob Arum said before that it will be tough to finalized a deal with Spence if Crawford isn't under a big promoter.

If I'm also not mistaken, the said offer by the Golden Boy Promotions to Crawford is only to finalized a deal to Spence camp. They don't intend to make Crawford as one of their contract boxers.

The question though is, is Crawford will consider being under again a big promoter? Since becoming a free agent, he never show any signs or hint that he wants to be under again by any promoters.

410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Questions of the day for gamblers on: May 06, 2023, 11:14:42 PM

Almost the majority of casinos are using a third party game providers on their platform. That's the current setup nowadays even on fiat online casinos. That alone is the reason to be considered that almost the entire crypto casinos are centralized.

I've seen some decentralized casinos before but honestly I really don't trust them at all regardless of how regulated they are.

And you mentioned being good in slots? There's no such thing as good in slots as it was luck-based. Those you see who win big in slots just have the discipline to stop and enjoy their profits rather than being greed at all and expect more winnings.
411  Economy / Gambling / Re: Land base slot vs Online slot RTP on: May 05, 2023, 10:09:23 PM
People should stop hitting the land based casino if there main purpose is hitting a jackpot because it’s really not worth it. Land base slot has a low jackpot prize and you need to bet high amount in able to have a chance to get it while online slot can give you the chance to hit that kind of jackpot with lower bet amount.

From what I see, "generally", the majority of gamblers are not really focusing too much on anything about the slots RTP and don't bother to know the difference in winning rate playing slots at physical casinos or online gambling platforms. They will just play either on land-based casinos or online gambling sites with only "hoping for luck" as their primary equipment.

The reason is, as long as they are seeing a bettor that wins big on slots, either playing land-based or online, that will give them a boost to play more as they are inspired and want that winning to also happen to them.  Another reason for some gamblers to ignore anything about RTP is, once they won big on that said slot, they just want to feel that winning experience over and over again.

Personally, I admit I don't really care about that RTP-related thing on slots not unless the given RTP was really beyond unusual. And for considering playing slot machines at physical casinos, just for a change and not that I will seriously put an effort to hope for a jackpot win.
412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Experienced Winning Bets By Upsets on: May 05, 2023, 09:49:06 PM
Upsets are rare and profitable and not everyone has the courage to take a risk and bet on the underdogs, but those who do are rewarded with huge profits.

In the sport of basketball, I've already won lots of times betting on the underdog.

I don't consider betting on the underdog as "rare" as that really happened. Much better to just called it instead a "low chance to happen " but not rare to consider. Anyways, one of the notable bets I made betting on the underdog was really impressive and one of the greatest comebacks in basketball history.

I'm talking about the 2016 NBA Finals between the 72-9 Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. I made 2 bets on this Finals series;

1) place a series bet prior to the Finals where the Cavaliers are the obvious underdog
2) when the Cavaliers are downed by 3-1 and the Warriors are just 1 away

That's a risky move since only a few might put the courage to bet on the Cavaliers winning the championship and no way the Warriors will lose 3 times in a row. But the impossible thing happened and Cavaliers bounce back from a 3-1 deficit and made history as the only NBA team that was able to bounce back on that deficit in NBA Finals history.

Anyways, the site I've played with is one of the famous sports betting sites here before, Directbet.eu.

414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 05, 2023, 08:40:49 PM
But giving weight with your last statement about the salary, I think that's something that PBA needs to address, with the huge amount of money that is being offered for the players to play outside while PBA is still resting, if the salary is really decent enough players will not be tempted to accept playing outside knowing the amount of money that possibly they will lose if PBA and the team will sanction them.

Not sure about the status, but I believed there's already a work-in-progress (or should I say already done and will effectively take effect next season) about raising the salary. Last year, it was proposed that the salary cap for rookies should be raised. This is to encourage rookies to play in the country's professional league instead of foreign leagues.

Actually, the rookies are the ones who need to have that adjusted salary and veterans should just be the next in line. Rookies are bound to be a rising star that's why they need to be encouraged to just play in the PBA once and signed up as the draft pick after finishing their college.

Personally for me, not a good idea for PBA to just increase the salary cap for veteran players as the league is already not balanced. Raising the salary cap will just increase the firepower of the biggest franchises in the league, SMC, and MVP companies. Imagine with the current salary cap, these companies can easily catch big fish thru trades regardless if it's fair trade or not.
415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or gaming sites on: May 05, 2023, 08:02:46 PM
Has anyone known and played at these sites? Do let me how was their experience and what sort of games are there ?
Are they pure gambling sites or a mixture of gambling and gaming sites ? Although you need coins to play at these sites and you can redeem the winning coins into fiat money.

Regardless if those games are gambling or not, what exactly is the reason that leads you to consider trying those games when in fact, I believed you are already aware that there are lots of reputable and popular gambling sites here in the forum?

Simply, if you want a pure gambling experience, then obviously, choose the well-known gambling sites here instead of trying those games that are not even well-heard of by the community. On the other hand, if you want a literal gaming site, then browse the other section that covers those games, maybe in the other forum, or if those games are crypto-related, might be on another section.

The bottom line is, you can check for yourself what kind of games are those. But again, "if your purpose is pure crypto-gambling", no need to consider searching those games you have mentioned as just by browsing the Gambling section, you won't find any trouble looking for a good crypto-gambling site.
416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 04, 2023, 10:20:25 PM
Anyway, I understand why Fulton chose to stay at 122 because he will never let this chance slide because this is a big payday for him and if ever he can upsets the favorite, Naoya Inoue, he can add more hype to his name and that will open more doors into his career.

From my own point of view, anything about the purse split or any related stuff doesn't have any bearing on why Stephen Fulton disregarded his original plan to move up at 126 to face Naoya Inoue first at 122. Even way back during the time when Inoue isn't yet the Unified Bantamweight Champion, Fulton already expresses his desire to face Inoue once the Japanese monster considers moving up a division.

Since Inoue is a rising star and already cemented his status as one of the strongest bantamweight in the entire history, defeating him is something that will bring more legacy for Fulton. Aside from that, Fulton might receive some criticism for not welcoming Inoue on the 122 and might be called ducking or worst "coward".

418  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we trust 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 04, 2023, 09:44:14 PM
My question is.... can we trust these 3rd party Slot providers? Who are auditing their games and who are checking if the advertised RTP are being configured on their servers?

In the first place, what choice do we have? And I don't think "trust" should be the keyword here.

If these game providers are still listed on gambling sites, especially popular ones, we will still play their games no matter what especially for those slot bettors who already experienced winning decently at those slots. It's already a clear thing that bettors rely on the status of the gambling site itself, and not on the game providers inside the platform.

Trust is subjective but as long as these game providers are present on the gambling site, many users will still play their slots games even without knowing the technical side of how fair results are generated, RTPs, and something along those lines.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 04, 2023, 09:22:49 PM
If they keep doing better than we are going to end up considering them as the contender again, I felt like they could even get the title this season, it wasn't unlikely and it could still happen, but after the first game I started to doubt that, with this game I started to trust them a bit more again.

After every game and seeing how it was played overall, a certain conclusion was always created.

Nothing wrong though with that action but not a good reference to speculate what will likely happen to the series.

Remember that in a playoff series, there are several series of "consistent inconsistencies" where both teams are doing some adjustment, regardless if they came from winning or losing their recent game. Even with a dominant win or loss by a certain team, we can't expect that the same thing will happen next game.

If we specifically refer to a face-off between two dominant teams during the season e.g the current Celtics vs. Sixers Conference Semi-Finals, it always ends up with these factors on picking who will be the winner of the series:

- As a fan (either on a player or a team)
- As a bandwagon fan (hoping the team that beat their favorite team will lose the next round)
- An active bet on that team (of course, we need to win no matter what so we have to trust the team)
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: May 04, 2023, 08:53:47 PM
And even for someone with millions of followers it is not going to be easy to keep any kind of stable income out of referrals, and this is because regardless of how many people they can actually convince to follow their link, register at the casino and make a deposit, then what? They do not have more followers to try to convince to join a gambling platform, and the people they convince to try that casino will stop gambling there at some point, so no matter how much you think about it the amount of money you can get out of referrals is limited and it will not last for a long time.

I don't think that's a big deal for these people who are on the tier of "stardom" status already.

For someone that has lots of referrals, it's obvious that they were already aware that most of their referrals won't give them a long-term incentive. It's known right from the very start. That's why the goal is to just market and spread their link no matter what.

Besides, it's not that they are relying much on incentives. Honestly, it's just an added bonus to their usual gambling funds.

More referrals, more incentives, and no need to fully push their own pocket at risk. If no incentives came, not a big deal too since they will just continue their usual gambling activity but now using more of their own funds at risk.
