I remain unaffected but the reason is not what you think. I just don't spend money on Christmas at all. I've rejected the traditional way of spending this time where people stand in line in grocery stores and then get stressed because they don't know if they can prepare all the meals and bake the cakes. They concentrate on opinions of others like is my house clean, is the outside lit up, is all the shopping done... Fuck that we don't live to satisfy the needs of others, especially if doing it doesn't make us feel good.

So, I do the minimum, have a family dinner, have some decorations but the bare minimum and we buy ourselves small gifts like chocolates or something. I spend much more on birthdays than I do on Christmas.

I have nobody else to share this with and I have a child, too young to know how to access the money. I don't want my coins to be lost of I ever have an accident and die or worse, go into coma and require expensive medical procedures. I'd like my wife to use my money to help herself, our child and me.

The way you do it, your so scared of sharing money with your wife that you'd prefer it to be gone than for her to have it. I'd rather have my wife take my money than for it to be lost. I'd expect her to at the very least (if she happens to hate me one day) build the future for our child.

The hardest is getting the minimum that allows you to have income on the side and not worry about losing your job or having unexpected expenses.
Basically financial freedom is when you have enough money on the side to cover all expenses, even those that come out of the blue, so either you inherit millions or get something that will generate a steady flow of money, like a business that you allow someone to franchise, or invent something that other people use and pay you for. There are many options, the easiest being long term renting of real estate, like to a store or a bank. I know a guy who had a building and rented it out to a bank that rebuilt it and has been using it for over 10 years now, giving the guy passive income equal to a full time job.

First of all it was less than $200 and the owner of business was out of money? This would've never happened in the EU or the US. You send someone to the closest ATM and the guy with the winning ticket gets paid on the spot. IN the EU they would've called cops on you right there when you said you don't have money.

Then the guy hires thugs to help him redeem his winnings of $200? Where I live those guys would charge at least $100 each for help. Nobody would come to your aid and risk a 2 day stay in jail for a few bucks.

There are two reasons/situations in which I'd sell (at least some, not necessarily all):

A positive one:
Bitcoin reaches my price targets. The first one is 100k, but knowing how round numbers affect people I might sell some at 90k.

A negative one:
I run out of fat money with no way to make more, for instance if I went blind and I work a lot with computers, so that would complicate things.
Possibly if I needed expensive treatment for me or my closest family and there was no other way to raise money...

What will never force me to sell? Manipulation, FUD, a crash caused by exchanges and scammers.

Usually not. If you play at a casino and get a bonus it's great, maybe it's going to give you a free roll or additional money on your account. Some casinos from time to time offer a double deposit bonus which is incredible if you plan to play there a lot because you're going to do those 50 or so wagers anyway with your own money and deposit bonus can sometimes keep you in the game when you otherwise would have to call it a day.

That said, don't register and deposit money into casinos you wouldn't have chosen if not for the bonus. Don't play only with bonuses in mind because they're meant to look juicier than they really are.

When I first joined this forum it was to learn about wallets and exchanges. AFAIK he's facing over 100 years in prison if found guilty of all the charges. Best case scenario for him is a sentence similar to that of Elizabeth Holmes, which means he'll be in his 40s when he comes out. I doubt his donations will get him out of this. There's no gain in helping him avoid prison.

The problem that all these developers face is the same and that's cheating. In a game of chance the casino "rolls" and can prove that the number was randomly chosen. You cannot cheat. The only way to cheat is if you're able to somehow hack the API and see what the house has rolled before rolling yourself. I remember that this used to be possible in some early casinos years ago especially when playing blackjack. The casino would roll and you'd be able to see what it has and could choose to fold early if it had a high number.

With PVP games you're not playing against the house but someone else and the casino has no way to verify if you both play fair. You could be using bots, scripts, macros, just like people who play CS.
When a player gets caught cheating in CS it results in a ban, but it doesn't happen in the first round. Usually a player is able to play for a while before being caught.
Imagine that you'd cheat in a casino and withdraw after each game. After playing 3 games they'd ban you, but the money from your previous wins would already be lost. People would think it's worth getting banned if they can get some free money out of it.

The way I see it OP has a couple choices here because the situation isn't very healthy.

In many countries you can't get a lot of guns without a special collectors license. Such license costs a lot and has to be renewed. It's basically a tax on people who have enough money to collect guns.

Binance was big before FTX and helped to finance FTX which happened to be a mistake, but Sam fooled more people than CZ. FTX was a scam but Binance is still here and so are other exchanges like Coinbase, Bitstamp and others.

What are you trying to say OP? That all exchanges are scams? If it is so, why do many of them operate for more than 5 years without the need for fractional reserve banking?
Exchanges and businesses that go fractional are sooner or later going to make a mistake and die because unlike in traditional banking nobody is going to come and bail them out.
If CZ is being honest and Binance isn't going this way, it won't collapse.

It's really easy to run an exchange and there's only 3 things that I can think of that can lead to a collapse.
1. Hack (Mt.Gox)
2. Fractional reserve (FTX)
3. Scam (Btc-e)

I remember reading about him in 2016 and at the time he was already looking for the hard drive. Imagine if he were to take a loan back then and start buying BTC for $300, or sold his car and whatever unwanted stuff he had and converted all that into bitcoin. Firstly, I find it hard to believe that Russians are so oblivious to why they've been banned from most sites in 2022. If I were a Russian citizen I'd feel like I have 2 choices.
1. Use VPN and never admit that I'm Russian, play dumb if they catch me, hope that they'll let me off with a warning.
2. Not use any financial service that blocks Russian citizens.

If the casino made it clear that Russians are banned and the use of VPN is also not allowed and you broke both these rules, you can't blame them.

If I were the owner of the casino I'd resolve this but counting up all your deposits, subtract withdrawals and again subtract the remaining number from your current account balance. Therefore, the casino should send you back your deposits and keep all your wins, because you had no right to play in the first place. Don't worry OP, there's so many things you can do on your computer that it's improbable her son ends up gambling. More likely he's playing games all day or chatting with people. I've never seen this site. We'll of course take the warning into consideration, but I don't feel like this casino poses a big threat to the community with so many reputable ones advertising on this forum and Kryptosino not being one of them. People here have so many good sites to choose that it would be a miracle if a frequent bitcointalk user went to play there.

According to O'Leary Binance is responsible for FTX collapse and Sam was doing good. Sam wasn't stealing money, Sam wasn't in debt. They were trying to make deals and get permits but Binance was working against them all the time to undermine their efforts and without CZ dumping FTT there wouldn't be any bankruptcy. He also thinks that Binance should be regulated in the US because it's running wild without any supervision.

Poor Sam, he was a good guy after all. All those properties he bought for himself and his parents, all the donations, 15m given to Kevin for his support, 1B USD given as a loan to his friend... Such a noble man and such a great CEO!
