1241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Investing Myths vs Crypto Investor Reality on: April 29, 2022, 04:22:32 PM
Not bad, but it's a lack of information, there are too many factors to understand before starting to invest, and the truth that should reveal and the new crypto investors will learn.  How about this, "invest what you can afford to lose".

As a new investor, this is advisable to them, "buy low and sell high" it's kinda playing safe while you're understanding the market, it's pretty basic and everyone will easily adopt it.  No one will sell under the price where they bought it.

But did you know as an investor know should also know this  "Not your keys not your coins".
Storing on a centralized or third-party wallet isn't good at all and I know you're just promoting your exchange which unpopular one.
1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver resurfaces on Twitter, backs doge and bitcoin cash on: April 29, 2022, 03:23:41 PM
Now Roger Ver want to mislead may people with his tweet.
I think that his main goal is to create a bit of drama, hence making people talk about him. And.. we've just started doing that. Yet again.
This was also in my mind while reading the line of the post quoted above, it seems he wants to seek attention and to create drama that anyone argues with him.  But the fact is, people have learned and already know which is a better coin that gives a true meaning of decentralized.  Not a centralized crypto that he created (claiming better than Bitcoin) and now it was failed.

I didn't surprise if one day Bitcoin cash and Dogecoin shilling on Twitter and it might this is the hidden agenda why Roger Ver making such noise on Twitter.
There's nothing we can do for both of them, they're all against Bitcoin and I think we shouldn't discuss them.
1243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Every 4 Year on: April 26, 2022, 11:59:40 PM
It is very optimistic to think about the $200k-300k price for Bitcoin for simply because we are not even sure how this halving creates a huge increase, $100k is seemed achievable and near to reality.
There's no possibility on the Bitcoin price will create another ATH, just like last year, we didn't expect that Bitcoin will have experience twice ATH within the year.  The demand and supply were still there and as I can see, the adoption has been increasing and the awareness also keeps spreading and I have no doubt Bitcoin will reach that amount but of course, without a specific time frame.

Still, no one can tell what will happen to the Bitcoin price, it remains unpredictable.  But in our conclusion, if the adoption will keep spreading, the demand will become lesser which means the price will become more expensive, 4 years from now is kind of tougher to predict, there are too many things that will happen for sure.
1244  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Buying Property With Crypto (Bitcoin) on: April 26, 2022, 11:54:32 PM
Maybe this is what you're looking for which is found while stumbling on google.
https://cryptorealestate.cc/property-city/asia/

But I tend to agree with NeuroticFish above, be specific on which Asia countries you want to find and post it on in the local community here in the forum.
Many local members will help you to find a legitimate site that truly deals with real states using Bitcoin to purchase.

Or each country seeks a lawyer for this further information that didn't violate the law.
1245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: GodRays - A new way to analyze crypto-markets on: April 26, 2022, 11:45:15 PM
2. Your YouTube link does not work. It's likely you posted a wrong one or the video was deleted.
It works fine to me, though I didn't watch the full video and it seems it's a great trading tool for technical analysis.

They've similarities on the Tradingview site, did you have a comparison between both of them?
There are too many lines on the graph, I don't know which one is the support or the resistance.  Maybe ain't good on technical analysis so I have a little bit confused about the video.  However, it's a great tool.
1246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon and and how this "dude" could effect bitcoin in the future? on: April 26, 2022, 10:57:56 PM
He can shill all the time Dogecoin.
This is possible and we hope that it won't happen.

But if he accepts Bitcoin as a payment in having crypto ads on that platform, that would have an effect on Bitcoin in the future.  But this dude is pretty smart, we don't know what his next month and we can't predict it.  Let's see what will happen next.

For him, just free speech.

1247  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just maybe on: April 26, 2022, 10:49:59 PM
He's a smart investor and I believe he's going to throw in one or two stuff that will further propel Twitter to value appreciation.
I tend to agree with this even though the crypto enthusiast community hate him in the past because he influenced the market.
But the fact is he is very smart and he knows what he doing and for sure, this always has a benefit to him.  Buying the Twitter platform for sure he has a purpose on it, there's a hidden agenda behind purchasing that big company, he can maybe make money on his own with his coins.

But I hope I'm the wrong conclusion, as what he said, he has a better plan for this platform to be good than before.
Making decentralized social media platforms as his plan sounds good, this makes fake accounts vanish that made scammed a lot of people before.
1248  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders Stop Being Greedy. on: April 26, 2022, 10:39:38 PM
If you're a big risk taker hoping that you will gain profit without having knowledge and skills in trading it seems like you gamble your money in that way.
Being greedy traders isn't right, we should always have a stop-loss when we're in trading and forget about aiming for a high profit because IMO, I prefer to make a small but frequent profit.

Trading needs a lot of research, more analysis like technical and fundamental analysis, if you didn't have this, much better to choose the long term investment which is safe but it will surely make a profit, but the difference is, there's no time frame when you will get your profit, as long as you can patiently wait when the bull run comes.
1249  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Uniswap Starts Blocking Addresses Linked To 'Blocked Activities' on: April 26, 2022, 02:28:37 PM

0x9fd twitter user us using his Russian IP address which Uniswap must have comply to block the country. They are starting to comply with the law, DEX I think are going to be forced to do it. Feels not decentralized anymore. The link about it is here https://help.uniswap.org/en/articles/6149816-address-screening-faq

And here's what he tweeted on Twitter..
As I saw in the comment section, it might be he used a VPN before and the IP address is linked to a Russian country server which is possible can be suspected of having illegal activities.

It seems not a decentralized exchange anymore and it could be people or traders who might criticize that exchange that is truly blocked, traders.
This exchange isn't good anymore, who's next?
1250  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BEWARE OF FALSE CRYPTOCURRENCY TRADING PLATFORMS on: April 25, 2022, 11:59:43 PM
Most of them are CEX and here's a Compilation of all "Scam Accusations" threads related to exchanges made by Raja_MBZ, avoid them all.

Most CEX exchanges are prone to scams even though how popular they are.  I rather trust DEXs like Hodl hodl or Bisq when it comes to trading since it's quite safe than these CEXs.

In Telegram (a house or scammers), I received various PMs sending a link of unknown exchange that surely that is scam exchange, avoid them too.
1251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk buys Twitter on: April 25, 2022, 11:46:18 PM
For sure Dogecoin now has a place to hype.

Ain't know if this is good or bad news for crypto or Bitcoin itself but it seems the intention of Elon Musk towards this platform is good.
But I tend to agree above, it could be also a misuse that could benefit him and make a hype of any coins that he wanted to pump.

Whatever the hidden agenda why Elon Musk bought this platform, let's hope that's good and based on his proposal, and here's what he says he'll do next.
1252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: avoid scam telegram groups , find useful tools and channels on: April 25, 2022, 11:30:51 PM
I smell something not good in OP, look at the above pointed out by Potato Chips, OP use other accounts just to convince other people to join the group OP created and claim it as a legitimate one.  Possibly, OP will do this if someone joins OP's group, for sure someone pretending that the group is legitimate but all those accounts are controlled by the OP, it's a trap for those who wanted to join, IMO.

Avoid these social media, they are the house of scammers and including the OP group.
1253  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: electrum wallet problem on: April 25, 2022, 10:58:50 PM
As pointed out above yes, that's possible.
I experienced this before when I was using that old version but fortunately, I always verify and check before I download and I always used the official website to download the Electrum app on my PC.

Just read this article come from Cointelegraph, it seems the same in your case.  I highly recommend using a hardware wallet if you want to store it for a long period of time, hardware wallet has a feature that can protect itself from any malicious link.
1254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin continues to decline, what causes it? on: April 25, 2022, 10:42:07 PM

Talking back about my discussion above, in the past few days I saw Bitcoin is experiencing a continuous decline in value, what is the reason? and is this the beginning of its destruction? and do you think all Bitcoins will recover with a comeback?
There are too many factors to consider and might be the reason for this decline but in fact, the Bitcoin price recovered again and back to the $40k price range.  In general, the reason could be, that there are too many sellers than the buyers, the demand and supply will always matter to the Bitcoin price.

Self-destruction?
You're overthinking it and you might forget that no one control Bitcoin or the centralized organization behind it so I don't think there's self-destruction.
Believed it, this is pretty normal to the Bitcoin price that has an up and down the price movement just because of the volatile movement that makes the price fluctuate.  So, understand first the Bitcoin movement and you'll not confuse about it, in fact, we're still in a healthy market condition.
1255  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I got Scammed. on: April 23, 2022, 11:59:41 PM
Sorry for your loss mate and I hope you've learned from this mistake and avoid that will not happen again.

Telegram is a house of scammers, never trust if there's someone PM you asking for financial advice or any that related to a financial because they are usually scammers.  I have been there before and was a victim of this kind of bogus, unfortunately, the scammer didn't succeed in his plan because I know how to verify.

You shouldn't trust random people on the internet, especially on Telegram or any kind of social media that you don't know personally.
However, despite your losses, you admit it here and warn newbies not to do the same as you did.
1256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unregulated Trading Platforms on: April 23, 2022, 11:53:53 PM
The trading platform is run by the scammers,   when I tried to withdraw funds the scammer knew I made a withdrawal request.  We were communicating through whatsapp.  It was a lot of money, at least worth some time for me not to totally give up and ask a few questions
As said above, Bitcoin or any crypto transaction is irreversible and once it will be confirmed, there's no way to get back not unless you hold the private key where your coins transfer.  I have doubt that you might a victim of a fraud exchange and this was what I experienced before when someone PMed me on telegram.  I created an account for the unknown exchange which is the deposit address controlled by the scammer (which I doubt this is the same case).

Try to contact this service, Chainalysis.
They have a service to investigate any related to the blockchain transaction which means they can able to track high-profile cybercriminals.  I hope this will help you if that is a huge amount, but if not, just move on and learn mistakes.  Just verify it first legitimacy of an exchange.
1257  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So Many Exchanges out there on: April 23, 2022, 11:28:28 PM
Ask yourself first before picking an exchange that you want.
First,
  • Are you willing to go KYC compliance?  then, a centralized exchange is good to go
  • Is the exchange allowed in your place?

Choosing an exchange platform where to entrust our fund is quite hard to do, always prefer the legitimate exchange that supports various coins to trade.
Check always the minimum balance that they allow to withdraw because there are some exchanges that required a quite big amount before you can initiate a withdrawal.
1258  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: We are not safe with centralize exchanges, know this and get peace on: April 23, 2022, 03:20:44 PM
Just watch this Youtube video "Why privacy matters" by Glenn Greenwald.
To know how important privacy is to us.

Any legal financial businesses that involve any cash flows are entitled to have KYC because this is how the government combats the possible money laundering or any criminal act that is against the law, they know their customer.
It seems there are cons and pros to using an exchange platform that required KYC and it might the only option to choose a reputable one but I can't point out which is better.  So KYC is necessary to us or are we safe on this?  The answer depends on our points of view.

If you're scared of KYC, DEXs are the best for you, but it doesn't mean you're safe in DEXs, there's still a report of scams from them.

1259  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk Supernotifier V2 Bot And Set up (For Newbies). on: April 22, 2022, 11:58:28 PM
There are some features that you didn't mention above.
  • to tracked topics
  • to tracked phrases
  • ignored users and topic
  • you will get notified once your reply gets qouted

This is very helpful, especially for those accounts that have a business here like a casino, exchange, or any company that promotes their brand name here aside from regular forum members.

I have been using this Telegram notifier bot since it was created by the owner and it's really a great help to us, we should be thankful to @TryNinja for this.

The same Telegram bot notifier.
1260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] How to send BTC for cheap! (And stop paying $25 for withdrawals) on: April 22, 2022, 11:41:02 PM
I AGREE. Literally, all of those options are marketed as the "cheaper" bitcoin options to withdraw from binance.

It's like if somehow, binance wanted to hoard bitcoin by making ridiculous withdrawal fees.
It's totally different from a withdrawal on the exchange and having a transaction fee on transferring your Bitcoin to another wallet.  Less fee for the non-custodial wallets which is you can put manually the fee rather than on the exchange wallet which is expected to have huge fees.
Just simple, those exchange platforms making ridiculous fees is a part of their business which is totally different from the non-custodial wallet.

Always check the mempool space every making such transactions to know the recent transaction fees.
It will help you to avoid your transaction being stuck and will take too long to confirm, if you are not in a hurry, 1-2 sats/vbyte is enough per transaction.
