1241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Thinking of creating a discord server and send signals that we feel are legits on: May 25, 2023, 01:31:15 AM
I guess signal providers usually buy ahead of signal receivers and it's no free lunch for receivers. The later they receive signals and enter market, the bigger risk from higher entry price for them.
True. While I don't want to accuse OP to dump his bags on his channel members, it is hard to trust their free 'signals' are actually going to benefit others that much. I've seen many groups that start with free signals and even provide proof of some success from other users, but then people found out it was fake. If he really wants to make the community improve, educational content is definitely better as mentioned above.

And it doesn't matter if the signal is paid or free, if you follow other people's signals, then you will not learn how to trade and find errors.
I don't think OP is looking for signal services though, he's trying to provide one. I do agree with this as a suggestion for other users who're interested in OP service though. It's better to not join any signal service since most of them (if not all) are unreliable.
1242  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best crypto exchange - 247 CRYPTO on: May 25, 2023, 12:40:25 AM
Assuming your service is legit, where did you get your rates from? It seems really terrible compared to other marketplaces. I'd never trade on your platform if rates are quite bad, especially if the other platforms are more popular and reliable. Not to mention your so-called reserves are also low if the numbers are to be believed.

There is simply no incentive to use your service as of now. You need the same KYC and stuff like that, it is hard to encourage others to 'just try' your platform if the risk is not worth it.
1243  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Promotion service required for a referral matrix platform on: May 25, 2023, 12:11:11 AM
The business that works like ponzi. Referral schemes where old users get paid through new users sign up
I don't think you'll be able to hire high-ranked/reputable users if that's the product you're trying to advertise. Not sure if there are any reputable campaign managers who'll take it either. If you decide to proceed then what you get is probably some spammers, plus a chance to get negative feedback since most user views ponzi as a scam (me included). CMIIW.
1244  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Brand on: May 24, 2023, 03:01:51 AM
I have also looked at your online shop and I see that it is very good. The design you use is very attractive, that I am interested in buying it, but it's a pity that my country is very far from you. And because of that, I want to ask if you support international shipping going forward?
It seems they do support international shipping, although the cost will be quite expensive depending on where you live[1].

I also notice that the pages are mostly in Germany, even though there is an English section. The shop for example does not support English, so users will need to translate it with Google if they want to add products to the cart. Is this intended or you're still planning to translate other parts into English?

1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Pros vs. Cons on Android for Bitcoin on: May 24, 2023, 01:04:29 AM
Up until now, relying on installing modified applications and ROMs from others does not guarantee the best security for users. Instead of risking our hard-earned money, we can opt for using a separate smartphone for financial purposes and another one for entertainment purposes.
It is kinda problematic honestly. If you want to buy another phone for financial purposes then you probably want to buy a mid-range phone or above. Buying those $150 phones for that purpose is just not gonna make it for you. It would be better if you just buy a dedicated hardware wallet or built one yourself.
As Android versions become more up-to-date, fewer people seem interested in modification, in my opinion. Most individuals who engage in modifications tend to focus on older Android versions that require performance improvements. On the other hand, the latest Android versions offer satisfactory performance for everyday activities and even heavy usage.
XDA is still quite active I believe. Magisk and other tools are also being updated regularly. I believe the Android modding community is still quite active. I also believe the reason why people like to mod their phones is simply that they like customization, plus removing any adware preinstalled by the manufacturers. If you can read and verify the code, the safest way to make your phone a dedicated wallet is to develop a custom ROM for crypto on your own imo.
1246  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Another one bites the dust? Pakistan will ban crypto and never legalize it on: May 24, 2023, 12:34:02 AM
Saying that Bitcoin will not be legal does not mean that Bitcoin is illegal or prohibited, and therefore the ordinary user will be a beneficiary, since he does not pay taxes on it and that there are no penalties for it.
If you read further into the article shared by OP, I think their stance on crypto is quite clear (if the report is accurate). They really want people to stop buying/trading crypto by banning their bank accounts if they ever use it to deposit on exchanges and make trades. Not sure how they will try to stop P2P though. Maybe they will try to ban P2P websites but offline trading or trading via other platforms like this forum might still work.
1247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool issue and suggestion: Better if Mempool was planned differently on: May 24, 2023, 12:26:21 AM
So now I had to wait for it to either be forgotten by the network or for the fees to come down. But as anyone can potentially rebroadcast any transaction and there's no guarantee the fees will come down any time soon - it could be stuck for a very long time.
That's unfortunate. Does this mean you never publish RBF transactions before? I suggest moving to another wallet that supports RBF by default (or those that offer more coin control in general).

Not when you want your transaction confirmed fast. My plight is that transactions should not be unconfirmed for too long and without even knowing when they would ever be confirmed. Nothing could be more painful in some circumstances like that.
One of the easier solutions is to use other networks if you need a fast transaction. RBF is also mandatory if you still want to force to use Bitcoin when the network is busy and being spammed by others. I believe you should view the "long time to confirm" as the security required to make sure your transaction is irreversible. We've seen many rollbacks on some altcoin networks before, I don't think that's a good thing to aim for. CMIIW.
1248  Local / Marketplace (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Strategy Marketing Ditengah Invasi Online Shop on: May 23, 2023, 02:40:23 AM
1249  Local / Mining (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Diskusi] Apakah Energi Terbarukan Solar Cell Worth untuk mining? on: May 23, 2023, 02:34:29 AM
CMIIW.
1250  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Hardware Wallet on: May 23, 2023, 12:58:20 AM

1251  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Info Fee Mempool Terupdate & Penjelasannya on: May 23, 2023, 12:20:23 AM
Btw, beberapa hari lalu, ketika buka-buka twitter sempat melihat postingan @mempool perihal Mempool Accelerator:

1252  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [INFO] Informasi Phishing, Malware, Virus Dst (WAJIB BACA) on: May 23, 2023, 12:10:11 AM

1253  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Apple ID Vulnerability Exposes CryptoWallets To Theft on: May 21, 2023, 02:56:06 PM
I mean, buying Apple ID is kinda stupid in the first place. It was designed to allow easy backup if I'm not wrong, so personal data (where wallets or other apps store their data) will definitely get exposed, which is why using a password to encrypt the data should be mandatory even if you don't buy it from random strangers. Btw, this is my first time hearing about people buying IDs to download an app instead of looking for an IPA or using other apps to save time and trouble. Didn't expect people to be that daring.
1254  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Effects of Binance Changing Wallet Addresses on: May 21, 2023, 02:45:36 PM
They've said that if some of these users didn't mind of this update, they won't lose their funds upon sending there but they need to coordinate to them in able for them to get that fund. So, that's another process for them to do and that's why it's gonna force everyone to obey and be obligated of this update.
I won't be surprised if they started charging fees to 'correct' the mistake of depositing to the old address later on. I don't know why anyone would continue using the old address after they notify them either, it's kinda stupid to rely on their generosity to recover their funds. Regardless of what platform you use, following their latest updates and rules is kinda required if you want to keep using them without any problems.
1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trust Wallet on: May 21, 2023, 01:58:02 PM
For the future, under what sub-topic can I use to ask about mining sites? Another person I met on Twitter is trying to convince me to use USDT to get ETH awards. The site she sent me is lendingpool.net. However, when trying to access on desktop computer the site is:
That is basically an altcoin service. So either altcoin discussion or service discussion on the altcoin boards. Don't get tricked by random people recommending obscure websites, especially those that promote low-risk and high-return investment. Btw, if you still want to ask about mining then the mining boards (either on the BTC or Altcoin depending on which coin you want to mine) is the right board to ask them. Looks like this topic already serves its purpose judging from your response. If that's the case, I suggest you lock this and make a new one to ask your mining/defi-related questions.
1256  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What platforms are the best to get actual user feedback? on: May 20, 2023, 02:32:51 PM
Are you building your own portfolio website? That's the impression I get from your post history. Or are you looking for reviews of a specific service that you want to use? Any platform that allows newbies to post reviews is definitely going to be inaccurate. This forum indirectly helps you filter the reviewers since you can see which members have some reputation and which ones are new.

I've participated in some reviews on this forum. A paid review definitely attracts more interest from reputable users, especially if you're looking for in-depth reviews/technical details of your service. I don't think the cost is that much compared to the feedback the project receives. If you're looking for reviews on somebody else's project though, I don't think you need to run a paid review at all. Threads like "Is A company good for trading?" and so on pop up here and there on Service Discussion so you can just do that.
1257  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: always updated bitcoin fees image from mempool.space on: May 20, 2023, 01:26:39 AM
What does minimum fee mean? If I go lower what exactly could happened compared to this metric?
As far as my observation goes, it always reflects the fees on the "no priority" list on mempool.space. According to mempool.space faq, it is:
Quote
No Priority. This figure is either 2x the minimum feerate, or the Low Priority feerate (whichever is lower). Consider using this feerate if you are in no rush and don't mind if confirmation takes a while.
Source: https://mempool.space/docs/faq#looking-up-fee-estimates

CMIIW. bitmover might be able to clear this up after he updated the faq, which he already plans to do so.
1258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many mixers all of a sudden? on: May 20, 2023, 01:14:50 AM
When it is fallen, those Bitcoin mixers have a chance to be popular mixers. So, they pushed efforts by advertising them through the signature campaign in this forum.
I'm not convinced that they decided to advertise because Chipmixer is no longer operational though. If I'm not wrong, some mixers already promoted themselves even before Chipmixer closed down. Sure, some of them increase their budget, but they already have a relatively high budget to begin with. If anything, I guess they find that signature advertising is one of the most effective ways to build their brand awareness compared to other alternatives.

Moreover, there are many issues about hackers, people are afraid about their Bitcoin assets. One of the ways to prevent hackers is people use mixers to make their Bitcoins unable to track.
Is there any case where a hacker knows what address you own and then simply 'hacks' your wallet? That being said, what you said definitely relates to privacy issues. If anything, they can send spam e-mails or something similar if they find your personal information.
1259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Clarification Please on: May 19, 2023, 02:25:37 AM
and are BTC worth the investment still??!? (Layman Terms Please).
I guess you're concerned that people will still use this network if they need to pay ridiculous fees to make transactions. I'd say no since the network is definitely the most secure compared to other networks. Even if what you're afraid of comes true, people who value security and those who hold lots of BTC will keep making transactions as usual.

Sure, those who want to transact in lower values might not find BTC attractive, but the market is not limited to them. In fact, this is not the first time this happened to the network. The fact that the number of transactions keeps increasing should tell you that the demand has increased instead of decreased. I doubt those who spam the network to mint tokens also want high fees either. Either they'll move on or they'll just build something to reduce the fee to print their speculative assets.
1260  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Ledger wallet on: May 19, 2023, 02:06:11 AM
You should check out the hardware wallet boards, this has been discussed in detail. I believe everyone would not recommend you a Ledger wallet anymore after this. They are doing such stupid PR moves one after another. I guess it reflects how stupid their latest recovery product is. I wonder what makes them do such idiotic things in the first place. You'd expect them to be a bit smarter after being in the industry for years. They are correct that people need to trust Ledger to some extent if they want to use their product, but there is no reason to trust them anymore after they explain that they can and will back up your seeds over the air. CMIIW.
