421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 20, 2023, 02:05:05 AM
It will be good news if De Bruyne can return to Man City. He has a very big role in Man City, missing him really brings a big impact to Man City performance. We can see that Man City got difficulty to maintain their performance without De Bruyne. I really expect that De Bruyne will help Man City to return to the race of the title in EPL standings.
A lot of pundits and stats that I read seem to suggest that Rodri is the key for Man City's defense, while de Bruyne is for creativity. I believe their weakness this season is not scoring goals, but protecting their leads[1]. I do agree that with De Bruyne in the team, they should be able to score more goals, but judging from their competitors I'd say their attack is quite OK for now. some might even argue that based on their stats alone, their defense is also not that terrible, considering that their expected goals are quite low and probably within the best 5 in the league as of now[2]. Obviously, stats don't tell everything. Let's see how they play if all of their key players are back.

422  Economy / Economics / Re: Are fast-fashion shopping apps hurting local economy? on: December 20, 2023, 01:54:24 AM
I've read news about how traditional stores or big shopping center, in general, is losing money due to e-commerce apps in my country. So yeah, some of them definitely hurt. On the other hand, nothing is stopping these sellers from opening their own store on the app too. The beginning is probably difficult since they need to compete with tons of other stores, but it is not like they won't find customers as long as their price is competitive. Most of the time, distance and shopping fee is the biggest factor why people choose one store over the other.

Personally, though, I never use Alibaba for fashion, etc since most of them require overseas shipping. I can easily find most of the stuff you tell me in my city, which is just a 30-minute trip at most. Not a bad trade for me, and even if I need to buy new shirts, I'd rather use other apps. What I tend to use them for is for electricity, like batteries and stuff like that. There is no option if nobody can provide me with the product that I need. It is always a gamble though, since what I bought might be a dead product on arrival too.
423  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [No KYC] Stealths is offering Prepaid Cards and Virtual Phone Numbers on: December 20, 2023, 01:46:21 AM
Hi, do you have any plans on adding more options to your virtual phone numbers? I've been looking for a Chinese number for months already, but it seems nobody can provide that. Those who claim can provide it, request a very expensive fee. Other services request my private information and I doubt its legitimacy in the end. I can understand the difficulties since every number must be registered with a Chinese ID, but what about countries like India or other countries in general?
424  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ragingbullslots.com on: December 20, 2023, 01:31:17 AM
(which I have won and I have cashed out on their site before, without any issues.)
He's never had an issue. But as of late, their wait time for customer support is astronomical, the help is little to nothing, etc.
I will most definitely check that site out because I am a member of a lot of different sites (Brango, Stake.us, Coins.game, BC, Luckybird, Luckyfish (exact same folks lol) just to list a few.)
Thank you for that recommendation! I appreciate it.
So you're saying that their 7-day withdrawal policy already existed before, and you continue using their service, or has it changed just recently? Why would you continue to use them if the former is true though? Do they give you tons of tournaments that outweigh the obvious cons? Most casinos that I've heard on this forum never had something like that before (7 days for approval, and then another 7 days after that). At most, it is just 24 24-hour withdrawal period, in which most of them process the withdrawal within hours or so. CMIIW.

From the way they responded to you, something bad is probably happening behind the scenes. Even if it is not, saying the manager is not available due to a meeting when urgent customer service is needed is just unprofessional.
425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling All Cryptocurrency for Fiat and Earning Interest? on: December 19, 2023, 01:31:14 AM
If you have 5 million in the bank, you could put 2 million in the bank and earn 100k and that is more than enough to live off and do pretty much most things you want right?
Is it really as simple as that though? What about taxes? Can you report all of them easily? What about the inflation/deflation rate? While it is unlikely, the risk that the USD someday go bust is still there, isn't it? How would you protect your wealth then if all of them are just fiat, that has no underlying value at all? Might as well buy gold & Bitcoin imo. At the end of the day, risk management is your answer. Diversify your assets carefully. It sure sounds good when you can just live your life from bank interest, but you can also lose all of your wealth easily if you trust them (there are many examples related to how people get screwed up because they trust them too much).
426  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Stablecoins are killing payment systems on: December 19, 2023, 01:23:07 AM
The Bitcoin network also has problems with transaction costs. When Bitcoin was at 44,000 a few days ago, I paid 10-20 dollars per transaction and waited 30 minutes or more.
Decentralization is not always needed for a $300 payment. But the visa payment system is not currently available in all services, and USDT does not depend on sanctions.
Bitcoin price is not the biggest factor for transaction fees IIRC. I remember paying the same fee when we were at the peak of the '17 (or '21?) bullrun when BTC did not even touch $25k yet. Basically, iff the network is busy then you'll likely need to pay more. You're right that people who pay $300 for some services probably do not need decentralization, but at the same time, they don't have to use Bitcoin for that either. Choosing Bitcoin means you care about security and want to use something in which its supply is not controlled by a group of people, but can be verified and relatively fast at the same time. CMIIW.
427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to approach supporting a platform that now holds views contrary to your own on: December 19, 2023, 12:59:17 AM
I second the suggestion to contact them and try to clarify, or at least suggest they research further. But there is no guarantee that their beliefs will change if they already have a fixed assumption and just try to find supporting articles for their beliefs. If that were the case, I'd stop my donation and just read other topics as usual, albeit with an awareness that their opinion might also try to steer me in one way or another. Who knows, maybe they are anti-keto diet without you noticing anything and then suggest a sugar-heavy diet that is dangerous for your well-being in the end. Remember that it is easy to change the narrative in the media as long as somebody has enough money.

On the other hand, YouTube and similar platforms are popular nowadays. You can easily consume tons of opinions for free now. No need to force yourself to keep reading one source that doesn't respect your effort to clarify some of their bias.
428  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin mining’s comeback in China on: December 19, 2023, 12:46:47 AM
Gagnon noted that mining is slowly returning to China as a way to recycle waste inputs, notably heat, for residential and office projects. This approach allows for reintroducing mining in China as a net social benefit, balancing business and political interests.
How can a company/business/social project do that if the ban is still effective? Is he saying that people are doing it illegally, or does the law never affect them, to begin with? I do know that underground mining is still going strong over there, based on some news that I read. I'm not sure what residential and office projects mean here, but it is hard to imagine that the government does not even bother to check their daily activities at all. It sounds cool if they found a way to mask the mining process with something else though.
429  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What if ATH - ATH Portfolio Calculator on: December 19, 2023, 12:33:16 AM
But a percentage decrease from an ATH is relatable as people will want to know what percentage of losses they have incurred or will incure.
Are you assuming that everyone is buying at the ATH then? Because if that's the case, then the tool will be very limited. Besides, tools like portfolio monitoring are readily available if that's what they need. I'm pretty sure everyone is okay with inputting their wallet address, or if that's not fine for them they can manually add each token/coin easily.

I've given my suggestion above, and others also did it. However, It is kinda hard to suggest more features if OP doesn't even respond to suggestions. On the other hand, he probably just does this as a hobby and doesn't want to monetize it, in which case he can do whatever he wants to.
430  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Hardware Wallet on: December 18, 2023, 05:10:23 AM

Bro gw gak bsa dm u....

432  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [Q&A] Tanya Jawab Seputar Forum Disini/Ask about this forum here! on: December 18, 2023, 03:26:31 AM

433  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [INFO] Informasi Phishing, Malware, Virus Dst (WAJIB BACA) on: December 18, 2023, 02:52:45 AM
Be safe people.
434  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: ELECTRUM - BITCOIN WALLET on: December 18, 2023, 02:32:19 AM

CMIIW.
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger seem compromised again on: December 16, 2023, 11:04:13 AM
the CEO is claiming their doing everything under their power to actually maintain the issue from getting out of hand but it would be best for everyone that is using the wallet to actually lay off and stay on a low because it's better to play safe than be ignorant and suffer the cost.
The issue is related to their dapps software, not the HW itself as far as I understand it. Basically a lot of dapps use their connectkit to interact with web3 wallet and somebody managed to publish a fake version of it. While they've published the right version, people should at least their browser cache to ensure they don't cache the fake version. It doesn't matter whether you use Ledger HW or not, as long as your favorite dapps use Ledger's connectkit, you're at risk if you don't do that.

Ledger should improve how they educate their employees since all of this happens because of a phishing attack, which in theory should not be unfamiliar for people who work at a crypto company.
436  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buycoin.online: cryptocurrency exchange at the best rates! on: December 15, 2023, 04:10:50 AM
Our experience spans over 12 years in financial markets beyond cryptocurrency exchange services.
I think his point is that you should show us your portfolio. I don't think it is a problem if you list which companies you work for, what business you did in the past, and so on. Simply saying you have 10 years of experience tells nothing. In fact, scammers use that quite often to trick users. If you're serious about it, maybe you can be a little bit more open about your work history.
437  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 🚨🚨🚨 DON'T USE ANY DAPP(Ledger's ConnectKit library compromised) on: December 15, 2023, 03:29:54 AM
At first, I thought this only affected the Ledger wallet. However, reports suggest that the compromised library is basically an open-source software that is used by tons of dapps[1]. It is wild how the attacker managed to steal one of Ledger's npm accounts by doing a phishing attack. I'd expect all Ledger companies to be familiar with it. On the other hand, maybe relying on one software is not really a good idea for developers since they can be blamed for stuff that is likely outside of their control.

438  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Could exchanges leverage on the current market trend to woo new investors? on: December 15, 2023, 03:12:03 AM
What exactly is your definition of mass adoption? People using crypto to buy stuff, or more users doing trades on the crypto market? If it is the latter, I second the opinion that they always do that regardless of the market condition. Even Binance is doing that with different programs such as their latest raffle airdrop. My local exchanges also regularly do promotions even though the benefit for new users is probably not that great in the long term.

If it is about more users using crypto, I honestly doubt they care about it that much. This does not mean they won't advertise to the public, but it won't be their priority at all. Especially if the number of regular visits or registered users on their platform is still as high as ever. CMIIW.
439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is arbitrage still possible in crypto ? on: December 15, 2023, 02:49:24 AM
you will also need the fastest server you can get as arbitrage opportunities can disappear in seconds and that can be the difference between making money or losing it,
What do you mean by server? Are you suggesting to run bots on a VPS or something similar? As far as I can tell, most VPS have a good connection unless you choose the cheapest one with limited bandwidth/ping. Maybe you can fix that with a fast internet connection and a mini PC if latency is an issue, or if your exchange blocks VPS to access their API (unlikely).
440  Economy / Economics / Re: Best country to cash out few mil of USD crypto? on: December 15, 2023, 02:41:58 AM
We are going to have more development in coming years which will increase use of crypto, and also we will be able to have more improved policies for the crypto users in these countries so for me doing this all in Europe or USA is not ideal, but these are surely the best countries where you can do cashout and other stuffs.
What kind of development are you referring to? How would it impact crypto users who make a ton of money from trading etc? Is tax not a problem at all? I never cashed out that much money, but I'd argue that cashing out regularly for a small amount is probably better regardless of where you are, unless you are obligated to pay tax for how much crypto you own. In my country, for example, my crypto is taxed after I make trades or liquidate it to fiat, so cashing a million dollars in one go is going to be a headache. CMIIW.
