1241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty or Airdrop? on: April 23, 2018, 09:49:40 AM
I would suggest that you get involved in both bounty and airdrops. Yes some airdrops are a waste of time, although you also have to think that if it’s free, what’s there to lose? You’ll also find that some projects with huge potential have been distributed via airdrop.

I think that the time to get benefited with airdrops is gone now. Now there is huge competition for this also and most of the time you will get very less number of coins. To add to this, some projects will not give anything and make excuses that you did not complete the requirements.
1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I do not believe ico anymore on: April 23, 2018, 09:47:15 AM
Not all the time and not all the ICOs are failed. It is purely depends on their project and market conditions also play a role at the time of listing.

You are correct here but the majority is fail only. Also, a lot of time goes in filtering put good ones from useless projects. So finally when you calculate ROI based on the total time your spent for this, it will not look much lucrative. Chances of success are also lower in case of ICOs.
1243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With how much should i start on: April 23, 2018, 09:45:40 AM
Ideal number to invest? For there is no ideal number for investing, if you have small amount, or big amount of money it doesn't matter because for me investing with small or big amount is both investing. Numbers is not required in investment, rather you have to believe in investing because when you invest risk is always there and take courage.

That number to invest should be decided based on own earnings and savings. If you try to copy some other person or follow the advice of members here, you may have to take loans for a bigger investment. It can lead to huge financial issues, if the prices decline in future.

Even for people with good amount of savings, it is advised to start with small investment only.
1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency to be accepted in shops by 2025? on: April 23, 2018, 09:44:05 AM
i hope great sellers like Amazon, eBay and aliexpress will hopefully accept krypto as soon as possible

That is what we require for mass adoption. But I am sure that Amazon will also like to take their cut with such a deal and thus they will tie up with a coin which gives them some commission on every deal. This is what happened in case of PornHub which made a deal with Verge instead of bitcoins or ETH.
1245  Other / Meta / Re: WHO ARE THE ADMIN ??? on: April 22, 2018, 04:32:54 PM
If your posts are deleted you'd probably received a PM about this. As you are a newbie the posts with links, images etc. should be removed. So check the forum rules before posting. Also, post including just thank you, great post, so helpful etc. short texts your posts are being removed.

This does not happen all the time in my opinion. For instance, if you posted in a thread that got deleted later, you will not receive such a pm. PM is sent only if your specific post post is deleted from a thread.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When do you know its time to Stop? on: April 22, 2018, 04:23:44 PM
It doesn't the scale for a gambler to know that it is the time to stop when others are already affected with your hobby or addiction in playing. On before it happened then you should be mindful with the things that it will happen if you did not stop your playing activity,

It is time to stop :

1) When your friends or family start complaining that you are not giving them proper attention and time because o this habit.

2) If you start ignoring your responsibilities towards parents or children because of this, it is the time to stop.
1247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: thinking quiting after lose on gambling. on: April 22, 2018, 04:22:25 PM
Happens opposite of this, I use to feel I will win next time, but again I use to loose, though I won few times. This is addiction and greed which worked on me. A streak of loss made me feel leaving gambling, but I didn't, I rather put control on myself, and restricted overspending my time and money. But I actively indulge in sports betting and Poker. For this two I don't remember whether I ever felt so.

Many of the card game website that I used to play with kind of exploited this human behavior. They used to give  me easy cards after few losses so that I do not leave. That website is still quite popular but I think it is banking just on new users joining every day who are not aware of their shady practices yet.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 22, 2018, 04:19:46 PM
How these 37 and 38 year old players are performing so well in the IPL? A few days back it was Chris Gayle and now it is the turn of Shane Watson... In ODI or test cricket, these players would have been out of consideration for selection.

They just have to perform for 15-30 minutes for a good innings here. If there fitness levels are to be put to real test, that can be done with a test match. I think they will not even be able to qualify the medical fitness tests in such a scenario.
1249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling is portrayed negatively almost everywhere? on: April 22, 2018, 04:17:49 PM
It is because it is closely associated with playing with hard earned money. There are other times when people would gamble because the money they have with them that are intended for gambling did not come from their hard work- might be from corruption, from robbery, among others. The bottom line is, it is a conscious wasting of money with due disregard to those who have less in life, economically-speaking. It is similar to those gluttons that are disregarding the needs of the hungry. I think this has something to do with the culture we are all in, and you know culture, it is difficult to stop unless you kill the race per se.

It has existed since quite long time but the popularity of internet has made it accessible to wider audience. Earlier, it was limited to rich and influential but these days I see even college students being addicted to such websites. If your studies or work is affected by gambling, it is something to concerned about and portrayed negatively.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How has past few months affected your gambling? on: April 22, 2018, 04:15:55 PM
To some it had not greatly affected especially those who lay low when Bitcoins price was down and minimized gambling so there would be less losses. And for those who were affected by the price drop of Bitcoin and also the alternate coins as well, I think most of them stopped entirely playing for a while and now just got back because it is slowly recovering.

My case is little different, I have stopped playing much because I have got occupied with a lot of work now. Bitcoin prices do not make much difference to me now but I think it is better for me to concentrate on ways of making money that come with guarantee of positive returns.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Criteria of a good gambler on: April 22, 2018, 04:13:35 PM
A good gambler would be someone who is adapt in varying, changing paths and strategies. If you think that you have victory and wants to have more, think about it, it might cost you more than you already have. One more thing is that to be aware of what has happened,if you have profited already or not.

In my opinion a good gambler is one who knows his limits and strengths. I have seen  players playing for low profit games just because they are more experienced with it. And that limit thing is important to ensure that you do not end in debt because of this habit.
1252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: April 22, 2018, 04:12:14 PM
I purchased electronic gadgets from the money I won, I did not invest all the money for purchase only some percentage of the money. From the remaining money again Invested in trading, made savings also. It's always better to plan according to our needs rather than wasting all the money for shopping, purchase etc

I also brought  a mobile with the money that I won in a  monthly tournament. Unfortunately, I lost that mobile as it was stolen once I was travelling by train. I think all this happened for good as I would not have been able to tell my parents anyway that I bought it with gambling money.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambler's way on: April 22, 2018, 04:10:45 PM
As for gambling is about luck and wise, if you are a gambler once you win you can be wise take the money and gamble again in the next day. More people are become greedy of gambling they want to get all the money instead of winning their money will gonna lose all.

I used to believe same before I met some really talented people who used to win most of their games. I am not saying that they won all games but they were doing this for living and were successful. However, it needs a lot of practice to achieve that level, they were playing for about 7-8 years.
1254  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin better than stocks, real-estate? on: April 22, 2018, 03:53:34 PM
Bitcoin is better than stocks and real estate as it helps in earning good profit returns in a short period of time. Bitcoin's price has seen a increase in 10% in the last month only.
Also, it is decentralised which makes it not bound to any rules and regulations. This makes the coin more flexible, fluid and plausible. Hence, it is a more promising investment asset than real estate.
Also, not only as an asset, it can also be used to make transactions throughout the world and due to its pseudoanonymous nature, they are secure.
This is a crypto forum, so majority will speak in favor bitcoins only. But with real estate, you can do great if you are smart. For instance, you can hunt for owners who are facing foreclosure in the hope that they locate someone who’s hoping to put their property out of their mind because he/she really like to be rid of it.
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: April 22, 2018, 03:50:58 PM
Honestly, it is a very hard decision if you are going to continue after you lost a big amount of money in gambling, your mind is saying that you should continue but your heart is saying that you must stop before it is too late. But most of the time, the urge of continuing playing gambling overcomes us, because since our motive on playing gambling is to win, so we are still playing gambling even though we are losing.

There are  a lot of other reasons involved as well. For instance, lack of any other work also pushes people to these kind of activities. I wasted about an year only with gambling sites because I had no job or business. Now, I have so much work to do that I cannot afford to spend lot of time on gambling even if I am winning. Smiley
1256  Economy / Economics / Re: The best way to manage free money on: April 22, 2018, 03:48:00 PM
When we talk about ways to mange free money most people follow the DWEED process.

The DWEED process is the "Do What Everybody Else Does" process. This group bases their investing on a recommendation from a friend, colleague advertisement, book or some other similar source.

I find that the people who fall into this group are often brilliant at their careers, but they just haven't figured out how to leverage their talents to make them wildly successful in their investing.

Usually, the people in this group are the ones who are scared to death of the current global economy. To me, it makes sense that they are scared because they have no strategy. And, because they invested based on what every one else was doing, they don't have the knowledge about their investment to know how to decrease their risk.
1257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shyness in gambling on: April 22, 2018, 03:46:31 PM
So being shy is already a psychological disorder? I don't think so. Probably something that had happened to make you feel embarrassed if you make a mistake could be one of the reasons but not a mental health problem. If you think that shyness is something that could be cured, it can be, in my opinion, especially if you practice yourself to talk to other people.

I agree to this, shyness can be cured for sure. Personally, I was also a very shy guy in my twenties. With time, I have evolved and completely a changed person now. Now, I can give speeches in open and I get appreciation for that. Shyness is usually a condition that arises due to lack of exposure.
1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are There Any Regulations for Bitcoin Casinos? on: April 22, 2018, 03:44:07 PM
It is possible in Europe, America and some countries in Asia but most parts of the world do not allow gambling and casinos. Even bitcoin is illegal in many countries. So there are no possibilities of regulations of bitcoin casinos. I think that one should not gamble because the result of gambling is losing and one should not lose his money so easily in gambling.

In India, such websites are operating based on certain loopholes. For instance, the court has given a ruling that if any games involves skills, then it is not gambling and websites can offer such games. So, these bitcoin casinos juts include such games only to remain safe from legal troubles.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The consequences of gambling on: April 22, 2018, 03:42:43 PM
That is just one plain truth and whether we like it or not, even some of those who keep saying they are in for the fun, is just a way to keep oneself in check from becoming an addict. With the way gambling has turned some people into liabilities in the society; it has done more harm than good and has only enriched the pocket of those who own the casinos as they keep making money off people's greed and carelessness.

The casino know that they will never be out of business. They keep using various tactics to entice players who have given up on gambling. I frequently see promotional offers from a casino that I left playing on. I think they kind of track users based on spending habits and then chase them if they become irregular.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL( Indian Premier League) Prediction Thread, 2018. on: April 22, 2018, 03:40:38 PM
It was a really close match, Dhoni changed his bowlers really well and they took crucial wickets of Kane Williamson and Yusuf Pathan when it matters and it was really close till the last ball as Rashid Khan took the team closer and they lost by just four runs, he wasgiving away more runs while bowling in the last two matches and he had to bowl a better line as he is the strike bowler with an economy rate below 6 but in the past two matches gave away 12 runs per over and it had an impact in the team.

That is why I like Dhoni as a captain. A captain should not be choose just on the basis of his own performance but based on how well he could manage the available resources. As the captain of Indian team, he gave us a lot of young players who are doing wonders now.
