It was never $20k.... $19666 as far as I know .... Tongue
1242  Economy / Speculation / Re: CRYPTOS TO THE MOON???? on: February 19, 2019, 02:43:08 PM
This is going too steep too fast. It will correct.

Fomo now cry later, that's the name of the game for people it seems. Cheesy

As long as Ethereum keeps pumping, and there is enough time till the actual fork, I'm pretty certain that the sentiment will be bullish. I however see traders cash out profits a day or so before the fork, or right after the fork just for the sake of potentially getting free money in case of a split.

In the end, it does feel good seeing some green because that's what triggers people to buy. The volumes are solid, especially when it comes to CME. 60,000BTC traded in 24H. CME's volumes are double the the volumes of Bitstamp and Coinbase Pro combined.

I'm holding enough to not be FOMO lol Smiley

This is going too steep too fast. It will correct.
But it's good to see Bitcoin is alive and kicking  Cool
1244  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Will Btcoin Get Back To $20k up ? on: February 19, 2019, 12:22:19 PM
It's like karate kid, you still need to paint a shitload of fences. Patience Danielsan!

It will eventually become $20k Smiley
1245  Economy / Speculation / Re: POLL: Did we hit the bottom? on: February 19, 2019, 12:20:37 PM
Yes we already hit the bottom, dont you notice bitcoin is stable these past these and yesterday another rally has begun, this might  the road to 7000$ or even higher.

We might hit a small bulltrap enroute.
We have lots of people wanting to get out without losses so a lot will exit the train enroute to da m00n.

What I am saying is "caution" we are still not fully out of the woods, tread lightly.
I do have faith in Bitcoin going up again Smiley
1246  Economy / Speculation / Re: BETI: Bitcoin Exponential Trend Index and technical analysis on: February 17, 2019, 11:52:26 PM

right now BETI is about -2.09.
About 29K at BETI=0
80K at BETI=1.0 (as the last peak).

However, this is just for today.
80K number might have no meaning (not close to any round number) in a year or two.

I so hope you are right :-)
1247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 12, 2019, 09:21:33 AM
Forgot to mention. THANK BUDDHA WE HAVE BITCOIN. It is the only easy way to accumulate wealth really.

Thank Satoshi for Bitcoin ....
1248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lesson from the prolonged bear market on: February 12, 2019, 09:19:15 AM
When everyone around me was buying I should have prepared to sell.
Buy back at the bottom.
That has been the way wise traders trade!  If you want to invest and make money you are to be selling when others are buying and buying when others are selling.  That is one of the greatest lessons I have learned from 2018.

Though it's not that easy to go against the trend since there are also times when it'll produce good results. For me the takeaway is that regardless of what's happening to the market or whatever the trend is, make sure you studied and prepared for what you're going to get yourself into. Most of those that got rekt just jumped into the hype of 2017.

When I mentioned everyone I should have said "regular joe".

Tells:
- If your colleague who has never traded wants to invest.
- Your grandma wants to know what Bitcoin is.
- Everyone around you is talking Bitcoin
- News is all about Bitcoin

There are always traders in Bitcoin but once it gets hyped you should get ready to get out.
Then when there is a $1000 rise a day and you see "Infinite moneyzzz trollfaces" surround you know it's time to sell ;-)
1249  Economy / Speculation / Re: department NOCOINERY and trolls on: February 09, 2019, 08:28:35 AM
I remember the troll falllllliiiiiiing who was bitchslapping everyone throughout the last bear market.
He was pretty funny because he always came back with different accounts and is probably best known for the quote “cut your loose !!!!!!”  Cheesy
1250  Economy / Speculation / Re: We must work together to crash the price of all coins on: February 07, 2019, 02:39:35 PM
OP is one of those people that would crash the price and then wouldn't buy due to fear of his own FUD.

@OP: Price is as cheap as you are going to see.... choo choo
1251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lesson from the prolonged bear market on: February 07, 2019, 12:38:12 AM
When everyone around me was buying I should have prepared to sell.
Buy back at the bottom.
1252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lesson from the prolonged bear market on: February 06, 2019, 11:17:25 AM
Sincerely, it is not so easy with this long time dump/bear market. Long awaiting promises weakens the heart. I hope guys have learnt their lessons like when next the bull run appears you take the best opportunity and invest for the raining day. What's your lesson too?

then invest into something else, why are you waiting for more idiots to lose their hard earned money? they will lose with 95% proability anyway

Merited this post for its excruciating truthfulness and authenticity

Though there is already a topic named appropriately, i.e. "Are long-term holders idiots?" (or something to that tune). Bitcoin has been steadily spiraling down for over a year already but people still believe in miracles. I know we kinda had already been there in 2014-2015, but it is only a seeming similarity as the market back then was totally different from the market today. Basically, Mt. Gox was a false start, but what we see today is a genuine downfall, carnage, bloodbath and rude awakening (you name it)

Despair posts mean the bottom is near Cool
1253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it time to sell Ethereum & all coins , and buy Bitcoin on: February 06, 2019, 09:13:56 AM
If you not yet sold a majority of your coins by now, then I think you have to hodl and wait for the next round of a bullish trend because you will gain nothing in selling or buying coins now. The time experts were advising people to sell was like some kind f joke and those who took the advice seriously, are enjoying their profits.

+1
1254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else think "long term" hodlers are idiots? on: February 06, 2019, 09:08:51 AM
I agree that I am an idiot. Hopefully someday a rich idiot Wink
1255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin continues to decline? on: February 06, 2019, 09:04:07 AM
For long term hodl'ers it is not such a great time Sad

Moon seems a distant memory ....

I've HODLed through worse Smiley
Just keep thinking of the new ATH Wink
1256  Economy / Speculation / Re: To the OG's from before 2016. What do you expect the price to be in 2021? on: February 04, 2019, 01:16:59 PM
A lot of people here have experienced crypto crashes before. Does this "seem" normal to you? If yes, where do you think we will be in late 2021 pricewise?

I've been in the game quite a long time, mined my first 2.2 BTC with GPU cards in a short time Wink.
This is my take on the situation based on the past.

When an ATH hits it is after a period of stupid euphoria. This is when your parents and colleagues ask you how to get into Bitcoin.
Then the bear market slowly starts and then it keeps on going down. Then the hammer comes down hard.

I know we hit the bottom when even I start losing faith, which has been a while back. Because I've seen it all before I'm ok with it.
Usually it dumps 3 to 5 times after you think the bottom is in.
This is what has been happening the last year or so. I do think we will be close to or at the bottom.

What then tends to happen is that Bitcoin stabilizes even if still slowly going down.
Then the trend will slowly go horizontal and then even up slightly.

I will call this the sideways period. This can take quite some time (maybe 2 years).
Usually most people lose interest because nothing seems to be happening.

The trend will go bullish but not at a fast pace. Most will not notice it happening.
Eventually the price will gradually rise, nothing major.
During the rise we will continously have people exiting because they still want to cut their losses especially just before or above the previous ATH.

After all weak hands have dumped on the upwards trend the true believers will remain and the pace will pick up more and more rapidly.

Then we will go to a new ATH.

... the cycle continues again ....

So 2021 I will predict that we are in a slight stable upwards trend. Maybe at $5k or so. I hope better but I'm being cautious.
I'd rather say $20k but I'd rather be wrong with my $5k Wink
1257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Relax, its just a hard market reset on: February 04, 2019, 12:51:43 AM
Hello, you read my mind. Exactly the same i think. Patience is the key to profit, in this crypto machine. Do not sell under stress and under the influence of intimidating factors - that the price will go down.
It can also be taken from the more positive side - after every drop, growth will come.

+1 HODL
1258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bakkt really an overrated event? on: February 03, 2019, 01:56:48 AM
For many years there have been ICOs, ETFs projected in the future. Most, if not none have been succesful.
Bitcoin is still being shoved away from joining the regular economic system. We are used to that happening because we all know Bitcoin is different and doesn’t always fit into our rule and regulation based world.

One day something like BAKKT will take off and that would be a major milestone. Then others will easily follow.

So no it is not overrated if it comes through, but it has a low probability of being approved.
1259  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much Bitcoin price Expected end of this year on: February 01, 2019, 09:20:26 AM
I'm surprised that out of 9 people who voted, 3 actually think that we'll end above 10k considering the current circumstances. Well there's nothing wrong about being optimistic but i guess that's a little farfetched.

Now it's 5/11 who think we'll hit $10K+. I don't think people would be this bullish if the bottom was already in. At the bottom in 2015, everyone was bearish.

Difference between gambling and Bitcoin.
- With gambling the house always wins.
- With Bitcoin there is no house.

I think the volatility has to do with Bitcoin attracting gamblers....  Smiley

What about exchanges? I'm pretty sure Bitmex, Bitfinex and others have been front running orders and running peoples' stops for years. I've met some disheartened Bitmex traders who feel like trading there = playing the house.

True, haven't looked at it from that angle. I think you have a good point. Exchanges are gaining through transactional fees which allow them to profit from everyone even though they lose or win. That is kind of like the share the house is taking.
1260  Economy / Speculation / Re: After Chinese new year BTC price will rise? on: January 31, 2019, 03:06:18 PM
People tend to correlate unrelated things, to justify a hunch....
