Thanks, will do. I'll report back on this firmware later today.
1242  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 27, 2015, 03:42:46 PM
Hi,

If anyone is interested, here is updated firmware for AntMiner S4 with extranonce.subscribe support and fresh cgminer version:

AntMiner S4:
https://www.nicehash.com/download/AntMiner-S4-SD-firmware_cgminer_4.9.0_nicehash_and_normal_fan.tar.gz

Details explained here: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=software#asic, firmware was prepared by smit1237 (thanks!).

Kind regards,
NiceHash.com

Thanks, going to give this a try since bitmain doesn't seem to be in a hurry to fix their broken firmware. Is this modded firmware based on the Oct. 16th or Jan. 29th release from bitmain? Also, is there a version available with the fan speeds lowered?

I looked into a larger box with another member here and it was not much different. It seems the major factor is the weight.
The original packaging keeps these things steady through shipping, you'd be giving up a lot of stability and looking at possible damages to the units by combining them. I figure whatever you'd be saving on shipping if any, I'd be spending on bubble wrap and stuffing.

The PSU's I'm looking for $150 each. If you take all 7 I'd be willing to eat the shipping cost on them.

Hmm, let me think about it for a bit though. I normally use HP server power supplies that cost around $75 each for 1200 watts. I'd need two of those to power one SP20 or 1 and a 1/2. If you could sell them for $130 each that would be ideal.

Not trying to make teeGUMES lose a sale on the PSUs, but the HP 1200w would be fine. Running the SP20 full out pulls ~1240w at the wall, so 1091w from the PSU assuming gold efficiency. That being said, the EVGAs are beasts, you can't go wrong with them. Cool

How about $500 with shipping to Toronto included Wink?

Tried that, didn't work.  Tongue

Hi Finksy,

I'd like to give one of these a try to see if replacing my DPS2000 setups makes sense going forward.

I'd like:

1x PSU
1x Breakout board
12x high quality 36" copper cables

I'm going to give it a good beating by powering 3x SP20E @ 1.5Th/s per unit. Each unit pulls about 950w DC from a PSU at that speed. May also give 2x S4s a try.

Please PM me at your earliest convenience.

What size screws are used on the S2 case?  Have a few needing replacement. Roll Eyes

Just take one to your local hardware store and match the thread and length.

I'm getting 195 kh/s with my 5960x @ 4.2ghz.

Thanks 4 data, i didnt have any data on that cpu wow great hash per thread.

cheers m8  Smiley

Gotta love those 16 threads. If I wasn't affected by the upgrade itch, I'm fairly certain this pc could last me 10 years easily. Hell, my previous 3930k probably would've too.

Is wolf's miner no longer the best?

That unit consumes 1020w? What chips is it based on? Certainly not A2.

Scan for the machines ip address using either your router, angry ip scanner in Windows, or Fing on Android. Once you have that accessing it should be simple.
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is there any new company which sells scrypt ASIC miners? on: March 27, 2015, 03:49:43 AM
I don't think there's anything that can be purchased new on the market right now that isn't some sort of scam. Sfards is coming up with a new product though, I'm keeping an eye on it.

Here's hoping you hear from him soon!

I flashed the new Image on my 60 and 90 MH units, and for some reason they're getting a lot less hw errors. Not that I'm complaining, but what could have caused that? I was previously running version 2.0 on both.

I guess you were never able to get cgminer 4.9 working properly on the A2s? Also, did you ever figure a way of seeing the cgminer screen through ssh/putty?

You let her walk all over you without repercussions, she figures you're both push overs. She'll continue to take advantage of you until you put a stop to it. Hold her to what she says, don't be afraid to say no to her, and set some ground rules for chores she's expected to do seeing as she's supposed to help out around the house.

You owe her nothing, quite the opposite in fact. If she doesn't like it, take her site seeing to the nearest hotel. Fuck do I hate freeloaders.

Is this a new record for the pool in terms of time?

No

I think we had one over 500% of difficulty. But as fare as time the pool's 1st block was about 3 weeks.

Just hang in there. When we have less than 1% of the network difficulty in hash rate , WILD swings of luck are common.

We just need more HASH POWER.   Cheesy

Yep. Would be nice to have canaan come back with his 2PH/s!
