Now that Brazil is out what do you think? I'm not a French citizen or anything, I just like the story of Mbappe and the French team. I think Argentina just became the huge favorite of the teams left but I'm still pulling for France.

I also think France is doing a bit better than England. Not by much but a bit better. That said, both teams have equal chances if it comes down to kicks because the moment it begins it's a lottery. We all saw what happened with Brazil. Spain also didn't do good in that part of  the game. If those two teams could lose and had much bigger skill difference than France and England, I'd call this anybody's game. You can flip a coin.
1262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Create wealth first before the use of bitcoin on: December 08, 2022, 11:08:43 PM
No Internet access can really be a problem, but nowadays most people have mobile phones. You can buy a smartphone for cheap and it's a built in feature. The coverage is also decent, so you really can get Internet in poor towns for just a few dollars a month.

If you're so poor you can't spare $50 for a used smartphone and don't have that $5 a month to pay your phone bill, you probably shouldn't think about bitcoin, but it's like offering an online account, or a credit card to someone in Africa who lives in a straw hut and digs a hole in the ground each time he wants to take a dump.

That said, even the poorest of the poor can benefit from using and holding bitcoin if they can get access to it. The problem is, those really poor are rarely given a chance to invest. If they knew how to do it, or had someone to guide them,  they wouldn't be poor in the first place
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof Of Income Will This Pass on: December 08, 2022, 10:20:45 PM
I think the problem is more evident when they would also ask you for a statement of your account and not just proof of your salary.
Because from that it would emerge that you spent a part on "classic" expenses to support yourself/family, go shopping at the grocery, pay bills, etc...
At the same time how did you manage to deposit the same amount in the casino?
in any case it is something very subtle.
you can always prove the bottom line of your earnings, and I don't think any casino should declare it as "unreliable".
Obviously if they want to make a scam they can declare anything to deny a payment....

in any case even if you are violating the "principle of gambling for fun" this is not a good reason to close your account or deny you a withdrawal if you win Roll Eyes

Exactly! Many people have no income but a lot of money to play with.
Examples? People who inherited money, rich students who have the money but don't work anywhere, people who divorced and don't have to work anymore like the wife of Jeff Bezos.
For many people showing proof of income is impossible and what then? They get scammed by the casino because they can't jump the hoops?

That said, I think they have no right to demand that. What I have on my account and where I work is private information. I'm not going to share that when a private company asks me.
1264  Other / Off-topic / Re: These 10 cars have the greatest potential lifespan — and 6 are Toyotas on: December 08, 2022, 09:51:46 PM
This as to be a US survey because here in the EU nobody uses pickup trucks. We mostly use vans as work horses here.

Also, note that they based the list on the mileage, which is why most cars there are work horses. Pickup trucks or cars used by various services. Tahoe for instance is a popular police car.
High mileage doesn't mean the car has a long lifespan. It can as well mean that it's driven and serviced a lot like a typical service car.

The fact that you don't have a honda civic there doesn't mean it breaks before it reaches 300k miles. It means not many people make 300k in 10 years, which is the average life of a vehicle. A work truck on the other hand can easily make 500k in 10 years.

My point is that if you take care of your car it's going to last. It doesn't have to be a pickup truck or an SUV.
1265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks do not want bitcoin to become popular on: December 08, 2022, 09:31:31 PM
These people make such ridiculous statements every month. I could find you a number of them made in the bull market of 2021.
I even made a thread about the media market predictions being false most of the time.

Just google media coverage by CNBC during the 2017 bull market and then 2018 bear market.
In bull market all their experts were saying that the drop to 10k after the peak of 20k is just the beginning of something bigger and 25k was to come next.
In the bear market of 2018 they were saying that if Bitcoin fell to 3k it's only a matter of time before it goes back to 1k.

Now they're so used to betting on the lows that if we ever fall to 15k they will say that 10k is next and if we fall to 10k it will be 5k and at 5k they'll say 3k is next. They are so predictable. When we finally break above 30k again they'll say that we're on the way to a new high and when we reach a new high the CNBC will say that now it has to go to 100k and at 100k they'll predict 120k or something and they'll keep going until the next bear market.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 07, 2022, 08:30:20 PM
The best solution that I'd expect from casinos is to be straightforward and honest from the start.

If they demand KYC from everyone they should put it in their TOS and make it clear - you make an account you will be asked for KYC.
If they demand KYC at random they should stop it and want it only from users who withdraw upwards of a certain (disclosed) amount.

They should also allow users to delete accounts and allow them to request that all their data including IP and email is deleted on request. No private data should be held and processed by them and KYC verification should be done by a third party that does it professionally and doesn't store data.
1267  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: December 07, 2022, 08:16:13 PM
Everybody understands that the RF is not the USSR - it is just that the old habits seem to die hard. I would say that the Army has become even more undisciplined, corrupt and sadistic, and that is a lot to say!

A good example of this was the fact that when KGB turned into FSB, people weren't fired. They stayed in their seats because it costs a lot of money to train a spy as well as a killer.
They can play around with names and flags but Russian Federation is still the good old Soviet Union. The name could no longer be used not because they weren't soviet anymore, but because there was no more union.

Fun fact: Gorbachev died this year. He was the last president of the Soviet Union and lived long enough to see Russia bleed and lose the most people and armament since WWII, 5 times more than they lost in Afghanistan, back when they still were fighting under the red banner.
1268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Destroy Crap Altcoins? on: December 07, 2022, 03:40:59 PM
The current situation is great for Bitcoin because it's showing people what the weak links are. Those who were greedy and put their money in exchange tokens or fake stable coins are not down 70% like those who bought bitcoin at the top but 100% and worst thing in all that is their coins have no chance of coming back. There will never be an FTT bull market again. If you bought shitcoins you're out of the game forever.

I expect some of the altcoin market cap to return to bitcoin in the coming years and that bitcoin will have another bull run when we get closer to the halving, pretty much what happened in 2019 when bitcoin finally left behind the 5k area and moved to 10k. We're in depression levels at this point and should recover back to the fair valuation of 20k in the coming months.
1269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two Bitcoin Stories from the AfroBitcoin Conference in Ghana 2022 on: December 06, 2022, 09:38:42 PM
I'm not sure if using Bitcoin to pay a ransom to kidnappers is exactly the sort of development we'd like to see with Bitcoin, but I'm glad that someone feels they were helped out by it.

I like the second story much better and would like to think that Bitcoin has helped some oppressed women become financially independent from those that control them.  I hope that these sorts of stories are what continue to appear as they represent the good side of Bitcoin, while story #1 seems to represent more of the bad side of what Bitcoin can be used for.  With a little luck, maybe we'll see more of story 2 in the future and less of story 1.

The first story leaves a bitter aftertaste, but Bitcoin wasn't used because it was attractive to the kidnappers but because it was a fast international payment system.
We can debate whether kidnappers should be paid at all, or not, the way the US doesn't negotiate with terrorists, but if it was decided that they can and want to pay, it came down to whether they can make it in time, or not. Bottom line, they chose bitcoin because it was the fastest international payment they could do and it worked they way they wanted. I don't think that there would suddenly be no kidnappings if people stopped paying in bitcoin or that there are now going to be more of them since they can demand to be paid in bitcoin

1270  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Indonesian ban on sex outside marriage affect businesses adversely? on: December 06, 2022, 08:54:08 PM
If those of you who talk about this are Indonesians. So I think you will know that actually Indonesia has long banned adultery or having sex outside of marriage. even in the source you linked it was also explained that the law regarding sex outside of marriage had existed before but was not enforced. and the new law has only been slightly modified or clarified, namely to prohibit sex outside of marriage in its entirety.
while the old law only prohibited sex outside of marriage with non-married couples themselves. like the prohibition of the husband having sex with women other than his wife.

The reason why people ignored the law is because it was stupid. It has been long debated whether we should obey laws that are outright stupid or oppressive.
Let's say that someone decides you no longer can use a mobile phone, or that you are not allowed to drink alcohol, even at home. I feel like there's a huge difference between not allowing married people to have sex outside marriage and not allowing any unmarried couple to do it. Having sex is a natural human interaction. People meet, start dating, have sex, get married - this is how it's done everywhere.
1271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 06, 2022, 08:31:51 PM
I've had friends call me late at night to pick them up after winning a lot of money at casinos.  It's a genuine concern.  People will stake out winners and jump them in parking lots to steal winnings.  Casinos especially seem to have some of the shadiest customer bases of any place I can think of.  They also stay open late at night.  If you've got a ton of cash on you and it's late at night, walking through giant parking lots probably isn't the best idea.  Where I live you can carry a gun so it isn't the worst thing to have to do, but if you're able, having a friend who can pick you up right at the exit is the way to go.

I know about that and that's why I never go to these places all by myself. I usually take some friends so that we can have fun and watch each other's backs. It's the same with drinking at night and walking home alone. Drunk people have a habit of doing everything much slower so it takes them more time to find cash in their wallets and this allows others to take a peek inside.
I've heard of people stabbed in my city for no reason or beaten just because they were an easy target, but I've always walked with at least 1 friend and thankfully never been attacked.
Muggers rarely mess with 2 or more people, unless it's 2 drunk women.
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much initial startup to Start Cryptocurrency Casino? on: December 05, 2022, 10:32:21 PM
Sure you can start a casino yourself for 100k by buying the scripts and such, doing all the work by yourself.
Note that most of the 100k will go for licensing hosting and bankroll and you won't have money to employ people. If you're ready to do advertising, be the support and all the rest you can do it cheap.

That said, if you're asking us how much it costs it means you're a newbie and have no idea how to run it.
1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar world cup Final Predictions on: December 05, 2022, 10:19:25 PM
I believe that with the date we are at today, it will be a little bit easier for us to predict which teams are strong candidates for the finals of this world cup.
"Carrying out" an analysis of games that have already taken place, I believe that France is a strong candidate to reach the finals, perhaps against Brazil or Argentina!

But... to be honest, I believe these finals could happen between France and Brazil.
Without Messi, I don't think Argentina is a strong team that will have a good chance of reaching the World Cup finals, but with Messi, they are a great team that can even win the competition. I also think Brazil and France are strong teams that can compete in this tournament final, but I think France will likely take home the trophy.

I don't agree with this at all.
So you think that Argentina is all Messi... What about Alvarez? In the last matches he scored twice (against Poland, Australia), what about Fernandez who scored against Mexico? Messi on the other hand had a failed penalty kick against Poland. He's not perfect.
1274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why We People Cannot Think Like Whales 🐋 🐳? on: December 02, 2022, 08:29:20 PM
Simple
A simple and straightforward answer is you don't have money like Whales.

Reality & Explainantion
Bro as I said above we don't own so much amount of money there are some other reasons as well bro, Do you really think whales go all in the bitcoin or any other asset for an investment opportunity. As we people own limited resources and we don't want to risk it, this is where we are wrong but responsibilities are forcing us to do this. Whales own money + they risk with diversity. Our mindset also plays an important role in this process.

This is a good answer. A bit too simplified, but true.

Rich people have the comfort of investing money they don't need right now. It's like you investing 100 USD. You could put 100 in this project, 100 in another one and forget it for a few years. You won't feel any pressure. Rich people do the same but they put a million here, a million there and they never get squeezed. Bitcoin goes down by 50% and they lose 500k out of their 50 million, while you, poor guy struggling to pay the rent lose that $50 that could've been fuel for the car. Now you either have to sell at a loss or go to work by bus for a month.

That's why it's so important to build a portfolio that isn't making you uncomfortable, no matter what happens. How do you do it? There are a few options. One is to invest less than 10% of your liquid assets while also having some illiquid ones. For instance, you have a house, a job that brings you 2k a month and 10k saved up in the bank. This means that you only have 10k to invest and you take 1k and buy bitcoin with it. Whatever happens to that investment you won't get into financial trouble.

The second option is to dollar cost average where you don't touch any of your assets but every month take 10% ($200) out of your paycheck and buy bitcoin. This is also a completely safe way to invest.

The third option is for those who had profit from a bull market and withdraw all they've invested + some, leaving only profit in the wallet. Your ROI from this point is above 100% and you've already won with an option to win more.

This isn't a bad list. I'm not sure about some of the C ratings, but if OP is really looking for a casino this should help and be good enough to start looking for the casino they like best.

strange that they didn't post any particular site, they just keep saying that there is a casino that sponsors played C, A, F out there, but they are not posting a particular casino which makes me wonder why they didn't post the casino they are using? what's the point of creating too many accounts and posting something meaningless?

Usually the point is to level up the accounts, get some merit and redistribute your smerit between your own accounts to get a higher rank. Then once you have a group of accounts that arte no longer brand new or newbies, you start real shilling campaigns that have a higher chance of success.
They're always looking for a gain. In this case they hope to start a conversation, become known, level up.
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cryptocurrency sector is hateful and evil on: December 02, 2022, 06:14:45 PM
"We are all a part of the crypto community and if you read some threads you'll find that those childish attacks are in minority."-I do not believe this at all. In fact, on this thread, you see someone questioning my Ph.D. because they think I am stupid. This thread itself already has proven you wrong. If you want to convince me of this, then do better.

It did not prove me wrong. How many out of 10 people who answered in this thread do you consider childish or hateful? I didn't say there aren't such people in the community, but generalizing and saying that it's the majority is actually offensive because it will be hard for you to find threads where people just roast someone.

If you're looking to be offended you'll surely find posts that will satisfy your need, but it's not the community's fault.

"What behavior do you expect from us? If you're looking for approval and calling the lack of it immature, you're instantly putting yourself on the receiving end."-And yet the cryptocurrency community still worships Elon Musk and falls into FTX scams. I expect the cryptocurrency community to speak in complete sentences and stop acting so immature. But that is probably way too much to ask for.

Really? I don't like Musk for what he did in 2021 when he made Tesla accept Bitcoin and just a couple weeks later cancelled it saying it's bad for the environment which was a fake argument meant to justify his pump and dump attempt. I've never followed him but I had a lot of respect for his work. Not anymore.
I've never had any money on FTX, never even had an account there and thought SBF was full of shit with this posing as a charity loving, poor living billionaire who only cares about his mission. I didn't think he's a scammer though, that was a surprise, but the general rule is you don't hold money on exchanges.

Again, don't generalize. There are many people like me on this forum and in the community.
1277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Alternative to Bitcoin, Your Alternative is Bitcoin. on: December 02, 2022, 05:37:21 PM
No! There are alternatives! And these include alternative cryptocurrencies or tokens! Grin Sometimes alternative cryptocurrencies can show much greater growth. in any case, when bitcoin falls, someone pours their bitcoins into alternative coins or tokens. Therefore, alternative cryptocurrencies are also worth paying attention to!

Oh, is that how it goes? When Bitcoin fails people put their money into altcoins... Show me a single instance in the last 12 years when bitcoin failed.
I know a few situations where altcoins were pumping due to a false narrative like when BCH was created and pumped by Roger Ver whose team was spamming the bitcoin network to increase fees. All such attempts have failed.

Don't be fooled by stupid narratives and don't hope that if bitcoin fails altcoins will pump. If bitcoin ever really fails altcoins will crash like never before, Luna style.
1278  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dangerous life of crypto-billionaires on: December 01, 2022, 10:07:54 PM
If im a billionaire then i would really allocate some budget on having security or buddy guards which would really be always with me or whenever i do go and just like the rest been saying that risk and danger is already
on your side.

And that would really help you if you got into a situation like these people. I'd like to remind you that one of them died in a helicopter crash and the other one died in his sleep. Mircea Popescu that's mentioned by OP drowned while swimming in the sea. I'm sure if they had a bodyguard they'd all be fine Cheesy

In reality every day hundreds of people die. The more bitcoiners there are the more frequent deaths among them will be.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Unconventional Betting Strategy on: December 01, 2022, 09:30:21 PM
I would say that you and your friends are shaking the boat called "friendship" right now, instead of having a collective discussion. Your strategy works only until you suffer your first loss. First loss, first whole in your boat and good bye friendship. There is 1000% an alpha in your team. Some, whos opinion is 0.01% more valuable than others. Your first huge loss will show who is the weakest link in your team. There will the case, when someone will disagree with placed bet. Believe me. When money are involved, all that "friend and collective decision" thing does not work well in gambling and business.

You have a point there and that was also my first thought after reading OP's strat. This tends to work as long only for people who are very good friends and even in such case it can fail.
I bet that not all of them have access to the account. If they win a lot of money there will always be that guy willing to bet the teams money without asking for their opinion, or worse, steal from them.
If OP can work it out - great. If not, no more friends and possibly no more money Tongue
1280  Economy / Speculation / Re: December Has always Proved to Be a Good Month For Cryptocurrency industry on: December 01, 2022, 09:11:44 PM
Actually to every beginning of December may have it right to turn Green whenever it gets to January there is always a challenge sometimes it could be pure dip and then from February to May there is always a market correction.
I think @DdmrDdmr fully narrated it all.
I believe this December would likely be a good one, since market hit back to $17,200 today being 01-12-2022 so there is every possibility it would be around $25k to $30k by ending of 31 December to 1st January 2023.

To me going back to 17 is a bad sign because there was no real recovery after what happened in November which is a sign of weakness. To talk about a reversal you need volume and a price attacking higher points, not dragging on for weeks with no volume. If we went from 21 to 16k and then back to a somewhat stable level of 19k we would've called it a sign of strength. An insignificant level of 17k acting like a resistance is really bad for the short term.

I wouldn't expect anything big in December. Even if FED pivots in 2 weeks the best we can hope for is 19k again, which again is a bad sign if it stops there because it's still below the 2017 ATH.
