1261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos Should Also Be Prepared For Health Emergencies on: September 11, 2023, 08:36:47 AM
Physical casinos should really have an emergency kit and someone on standby that knows how to do proper first aid for people who will experience health concerns. Although it's not really mandatory for every establishment to have a medical personnel, I guess, but it's much better to have one just in case this scenario happens, especially casinos involve a risky decision that could make the emotions go rollercoaster causing sudden collapse and panic attacks.

It's just so unfortunate that the dealer didn't notice it easily. I bet if he knew, he would have called 911 immediately since cardiac arrest is a serious health condition that needs to be attended to ASAP. Perhaps they were oblivious since they were too engrossed and focused on the game. Somehow, the casino plays a fault on the death since they weren't able to notice and give first aid then call the emergency hotline. Hopefully, next time they will do better such as be more wary of the surroundings and the players behaviour so this won't happen again.
Although I agree that physical casinos should have their medical practitioner on duty so that if there’s heath problems that suddenly occur, then the patient will receive immediate medication. However, putting the casino at fault is probably less reasonable. The gambler should be more responsible of his health condition more than the casino. If he thinks consistent gambling will definitely trigger his condition, then he should be responsible enough not to engage in physical casinos but prefer to just do it online. At least his family can immediately cater to his health needs.
1262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: September 10, 2023, 11:00:55 PM
In my neighborhood, a neighbor breeds chickens for food and shelter before selling them to those who enjoy placing bets on the chicken fights he will attend. Therefore, the person who looks after the chicken will also wager on the chicken he sold on the day of the fight. In addition, he will receive a tip if the chicken he sold triumphs.

When the chicken you chose to bet on wins, rumor has it that you'll also win a sizable sum of money. However, I have never gambled in a cockfight since I may not enjoy the manner of gambling because I feel bad for the chicken.
Everyone should feel bad for the chickens involved because they are beating each other to death and one of them has to die only to get some people to win their bets and to entertain an audience. What kind of people would enjoy watching a poor animal die like that? There are thousands of games and sports in the world and there are people who are interested in watching and participating in cockfighting. Governments should ban such unethical and inhuman sports.

Some people compare cockfighting with boxing or martial arts and when you tell them that this is unethical and it shouldn't be enjoyed or should even be a sport, they will say that the same thing happens in boxing where two men beat each other, but they don't consider the fact that a human doesn't have to die in that game for the other one to win, it's just knocking out your opponent.
Cockfighting is clearly an animal cruelty. Who would love to raise a chicken and give him food and shelter, and at the end of the day bring him to a cockfighting where one's life is already at risk of dying. I have witness some cockfighting events near our place and people are actually shouting and yelling on it every time their cock hits the opponent, but honestly I just can't enjoy watching the game seeing one or both of them are already bleeding. Good thing it's now banned online but physical areas are still allowing cockfighting till now.
1263  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: September 10, 2023, 10:30:42 PM
I think they need to verify it first before they act or refund you. I doubt if they'll refund you on that unless it's proven because if that bet have won they wouldn't definitely get it on your account. If you've been phished that's definitely not stake''s fault in the first place.

If the link you clicked has gone through and you input your credentials the hacker should have get it. You have been so lucky you probably have good security on your account set or else that would have been wiped out. Again, you're still just speculating and you don't have any proof/s yet if it was really done by Stake itself.
True. You can't just accuse Stake without showing valid proofs and yet you come to warn other bettors to stay away from Stake. You know I've known Stake for long and I know they're reputable enough not to resort into wrong acts that will damage their credibility. After all, what you have are just speculations and maybe false accusations so we cannot agree on your post. Just learn to improve the security of your account by not disclosing your personal details easily, that way you don't get easily scam.
1264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Behaviours of gamblers you dislike. on: September 10, 2023, 10:03:30 PM
I dislike people requesting for tips when they watch us winning. They don't know the reality behind our win. They just watch us winning and request tip. I don't say they're wrong, at times we'll be very down due to big losses and slowly we'll be making something to compensate what we've lost. By the time they gamblers request tip and sometimes this itself create some fear, if we don't tip we might loss. Nowadays we've got features that can be used to avoid these kind of acts.
That is actually annoying for us gamblers but we should always know that giving tips is not our obligation but it's an individual's choice. Only give tips if you know you are seeing yourself winning but learn to refuse if you are in loss. After all, they don't have the right to demand some tips because we are not using their money to gamble in the first place.
1265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling beginners must not joke with casino announcement on: September 10, 2023, 09:43:21 PM
Casinos are actually addictive in its sense most especially for those who gamble without gaining the right information. The only way not to fall for scams in casinos particularly in online casinos is to stay informed and always have the due diligence to increase and improve the prior learning. Otherwise, since beginners are mostly impatient and are lazy to acquire right information because of their hunger of profits, they end up in wrong casinos and get scammed.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: September 10, 2023, 07:06:59 PM
Being a responsible gambler means you are disciplined. You can control your emotions, you can pause your greed, you can live with losses and still sleep well at night. So yes, it has a lot of effects.

It's not easy at first because there will always be that demon that tells you to gamble more and increase the profits even though you already doubled or tripled your balance. But if someone could stop at some point and withdraw it then that means he can control himself from greed and I think that's healthy for his own lifestyle as a parent or an individual.
I don't actually just play for 2 to 3 hours, I let the autobet run but I don't watch it the whole day. Just let it do the wager and wish it could get lucky at some point. Watching it will just add some stress. Just take the wagering bonus, rakeback, and others because it's really difficult to win against the house. Do something instead while letting it run by itself.
The key to being a responsible gambler is having discipline in all gambling activities that you do. As long as you stick to your limits and set boundaries, the more you become a responsible gambler.

Personally, being a responsible gambler has made my life more balanced and more open to gambling opportunities and profits. That is because I never gamble with so much greed but I always make sure that every time I gamble, I have my certain budget and once it's lose, then better luck next time. I never see gambling as a main source of living, probably the reason why I can easily stop myself any time if I don't have good motivation to gamble.
1267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 10, 2023, 03:20:12 PM
Dennis Schroder - Tissot FIBA 2023 MVP

He deserved this; he can really be trusted. He was their best player, and he didn't fail the team in the Finals game. It's the great interior defense of Germany that made the Serbians focus their offense outside, and when the shots aren't falling, it's easy for Germany to capitalize on it. I was a bit happy with Serbia's run; they were able to trim the lead of Germany to 3 points only in the 4th quarter. But Germany did not panic; they remained composed and were really eager to bring home the trophy.

Franz Wagner was instrumental to the success of Germany.

Well, what can I say? Schroder literally deserved the award as he was a team player and not just a star player who cannot make an impact to make a positive outcome from the games they had and even up to this point, he didn't made huge mistakes to make the team suffer.

In fact, he was the one who helped the team to remain their composure because they know the Serbian's weakness and made those weaknesses as their strength. So in the end, Germany took home the gold. What a nice game to end the night, congratulations to all bettors out there who wagered with Germany.
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 10, 2023, 02:30:41 PM
With regards to the potential Canelo vs. Bud next year, it sounds crazy but really doable if Canelo approves it. If I were Canelo, I would take it since it is the biggest fight in boxing right now. He will be bashed a lot though if he wins and it could be worse if he loses to someone who moves up two divisions. I like Bud to win but I believe Canelo will be too much and destroy him.
If I'm not mistaken, Canelo already welcomed the idea where he could face Crawford next considering that he will win in his upcoming fight against Charlo. It's just a matter of time though, what we need to know now is if Crawford is still that powerful and fast at 154 against Spence before he proceeds towards 168. I know that he's big and so 154 or 168 will be okay for him but that alone can't make him win.
All I heard and read before was that Canelo seemed interested but at 168. But after Crawford changed his tune and became interested in making that ambitious historic feat, Canelo is showing some hints that he is uninterested because he wouldn't get any credit if he wins. But I felt like Canelo is just trying to make an impression to the public that he is not the one pushing this mega fight. Canelo will propose this fight if Bud wins his rematch with Spence. I believe Crawford no matter how good he is in his current division, will be at a whole new level at 168. Financially, he is high-reward and low-risk fight for Canelo at 168. And Crawford at 36 with lesser reflexes, Canelo is not a welterweight and might just eat his punches just to land his own big punishing shots.
It's all part of Canelo's plan including that one where he seemed not interested because there's no benefit for him if he will fight Crawford but in reality, it's the opposite thing because he just wanted to make the people more hungry and thirsty so that their fight will be a headline for sure. And while that statement is true, Canelo should know his position mainly now that boxers in this industry are already looking at him down as he was showing some signs of weakness lately.

And if I were Canelo and knows personally that there is nothing goin on aside from getting older in the daily basis, then I'd say that I'll be happy to accept their invitation if they are really that interested because either way, it's a win-win situation and a huge paycheck for me is waiting, and lastly, the last laugh will always belong to me.

I agree with that. Canelo surely knows how to make people attracted even if the fight is still an idea, the fact that it's not yet declared, he will do something to make the people interested towards it so that they can generate as much money as possible and if they can build enough hype then that is the time where they will make it into a reality.

Next step is to market the fight but since we're talking about a future Canelo vs Crawford fight. I don't think that they really needed to market it because people will surely look forward in seeing that fight as there is also a chance that a history will happen again. Well, considering that Crawford will win.

Canelo is the cash cow of boxing still, only boxer that kind of rival him as far as bringing fans to their seat is Ryan Garcia and Tank Davis. And that's why we've the two fought, it was the biggest fight of this year.

But for sure, if Canelo vs. Crawford pushes for next year, there will be a lot of maybe casual fans that are interested and intrigue by the match and it could produce millions of revenue in the PPV alone. So yeah, the Canelo hype is still here although his last fight by standards against Ryder is way below what is expected.

We thought that the Crawford vs Spence might be a much bigger fight than Garcia vs Davis but when it comes to PPV buys, their digits aren't really close to somehow chase the latter's fight on what they did. But yes, I agree, if ever a Crawford vs Canelo fight will happen, there is a good chance that it will be much bigger than them and it could be the biggest fight of the decade as well. How's that?
1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 10, 2023, 12:57:06 PM
The Lakers are very good when AD plays at the Center position, and in fact, he's the leading rebounder last season with at least 12 per game. Yes he said in one of the interviews that he's more comfortable playing with the 4 spot, but he's efficient when playing at 5 as well.

I don't know what will happen with the team now knowing that they have Hayes, and Wood. Will one of them be a starting center, and AD will play at 4? Or Davis will be convinced by Coach Darvin Ham to play again at the 5 spot alongside Rui, LBJ, Reaves, and Russell as their starting 5. I mean that would be more efficient than any other starting 5 for the Lakers out there. I can't imagine the starting 5 of the Lakers would be if Davis will play at 4. Who will be benched?

Coach Ham will most likely be experimenting with the starting lineup repeatedly throughout the regular season. Personally, I think it would be preferable for the Lakers if Hachimura is benched and Wood plays center in the starting lineup. In this case, the starting lineup of the Lakers could be as follows: Russell as PG, Reaves as SG, James as SF, Davis as PF, and Wood as C.

I think that is the nearest thing to happen because why would the acquire big players all of a sudden in just one off-season, first they acquired Hayes from the free agency and in the following month, here's Wood as well who are likely to be in-charge at the center just like Hayes.

Seeing Davis's latest photos, we can assume already that the team is inclined to make him play as PF and not as a center anymore as even if we say that he's efficient in the center. That's not what his original role is, it's just that the Lakers just had to do it because there was nobody left to man the center. But this time, it will be a different, same faces but there will be some changes specifically in the center.

Hi,

I want to ask about how if I giving football or other predictions in this forum. Is it allowed? No feelings. I don't have any purpose and just wanna share what I can.

I don't force anyone to use my prediction because it is just a sharing prediction with all of you.

Thank you.

This forum is widely open for all sports predictions so you don’t need to worry about it. As long as you don’t force others to believe in you, then that’s fine. You know that’s a good thing also because you may open some ideas that other gamblers fail to think, so it’s quite helpful I think. At the end of the day, we all have different predictions based on our knowledge and understanding on the game. At least you don’t influence others to bet on your prediction too.
1271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ambivalent attitude to gambling on: September 09, 2023, 10:22:07 PM
Lottery is difficult for people to get addicted to, that's because the lottery organizers will limit the maximum amount per person to place in the lottery cmiiw, in contrast to slots or other types of gambling games which do not limit you from playing and spending money. Many people still feel hesitant about gambling because some people have high empathy, but that's all just your thoughts, when you live in an area where gambling is legal, you will often see the phenomenon of people who are poor because of gambling and also rich because of gambling, so this attitude The mixture that you experience when gambling is generally created as a result of the environment (its dominance).
Not all lotteries are giving one ticket for one gambler, there are many casinos are offering people to buy their ticket as much as possible e.g. Freebitco.in. This will make them become an addict if they don't have a good self control because they think if they have a lot tickets, they will win. Obviously this isn't really correct because there's a chance even you have a lot tickets, you can still lose due to unlucky. The only way to win 100% in lotteries is bought all of the tickets.
Even if you are only limited to 1 ticket per gambler, the fact that you spend money to gamble per day, that makes you addicted in gambling. Because of your anticipation to hit the jackpot prize, you end up losing more a lot each day. Although I’m not against to those who are fond in betting lottery, but if you are seeing the reality in lottery, it’s very rare to win some profits. It might take 20-30 years I guess before you will become very lucky that you’ll be able to win the jackpot prize that makes you instant millionaire or billionaire.

/// but also an obvious attempt of trying to justify something that they should not be doing.

It's true that what is wrong should not be justified or distorted. I am not a Muslim, but I believe that the teachings from the church and the Bible have specific meanings and should not be interpreted differently. Not everyone is highly educated, which is why a straightforward interpretation can be easily understood. What would happen if actions that were originally declared as sins were justified as 'okay'? 'Okay' can be subjective and may not always align with what is right or wrong. I think there should be clear distinctions between right and wrong.
Muslims have always been devoted to their own rules and tradition, that is why it’s rare to them breaking their rules and justifying those negative over positive actions. But let’s face the reality that these new generation Muslims have been more trying to distort things what has been established. Gambling is always not allowed for Muslims but look at them now, a lot of casinos are actually seen with Muslim gamblers and it’s like they have started to change their rules for their own convenience, even if gambling is a big sin in their religion.
1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Friendly wagers in Bitcointalk on: September 09, 2023, 08:27:02 PM
I think it's happening every now and then that members here are betting against each other for a particular outcome of a match. It doesn't break any rules, even if the members decide not to pay each other up. You can use escrow to hold the bets until the game is done to help settle the win/lose so there's that. Anyway going back, this can be done, it's just that there isn't a lot of trusting going on these days between the members that aren't as established compared to the old heads here.
True. Members are actually betting with each other especially if both are actually fond on the same sports, so they agree with an amount that one is capable to pay when lose. However, this only happens if both have known each other in the forum well. Otherwise, there will surely be trust issues, as some may only appear good and honest when they are still betting, but when they start losing from their bet, then they suddenly vanish like thin air and it’s like there’s no betting that is happening at all. So if you are too trusting to other members, you will be taken advantage for sure.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Features on any Banking or Financial apps should be Removed on: September 08, 2023, 09:25:42 PM
I personally agree with you. It’s like banks are really taking advantage from us gamblers that they really need to include betting betting section in their banking app. Wow that’s part of their business for sure as they can make a lot of profits out from those who decide to bet. While this can be easy and accessible to all who install mobile banking app, but the risk to fall into gambling addiction is also high. So I would also want to make this remove as soon as possible before it could harm our finances.
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does an online Foodbetting site sound? on: September 08, 2023, 08:31:27 PM
I think that this is one of the utterly dismal and creepy "sport" or "show" where to bet or to see.
I find also useless any kind of bet since the risk of a "rigged" match is practically behind any corner Roll Eyes
I know that there are also some channel dedicated to "mukbang" but come on ... I would never place any serious bet on that but more over I don't want stimulate anyone to eat tons of trash food Sad
Exactly. That is a total waste of my time and money. And if it likes mukbang, then it’s more like a regular food  show than a food betting. Aside from I don’t like seeing people eating some exotic foods around, I also don’t like the idea that they are making their health at risk. A lot of mukbang eaters have reported to compromise their health and now they’re suffering from serious health problems.

Sad to see the United States get eliminated before even reaching the Final in the FIBA World Championships. While I don’t think these were the best players we could have sent, it seems like USA’s domination of basketball is losing its grip. They’d better send our best to win the gold at the next summer Olympic Games.

Not the strongest but I think the decent roster to fight for gold medal but they come up short and left behind by 2 points. This is huge upset to them since fans really believe that they are the one will reach up to the finals easily but the germans cut those expectation and show up some great dedication to beat up the giants then take home the win for their country. Guess this is better luck next time for team USA and for sure next world cup they might think about sending more stronger roster and also veterans that can help their world cup run.

They've been losing grip though not just in this FIBA but years ago, just look at who is the last MVP in the last couple of years, it's all European or at least not-American, Giannis, Jokic and then Joel Embid.

And then they sent just a decent player, there are no superstars in the line up except just players of pure hype. And so I'm not surprised if team that have been playing for so many years beat the US and Canadians for that matter.

I just had a thought though; I'm thinking that the team USA might've done it in purpose though. I mean it's clear enough that their roster was just a pure hype and it's too much to ask really to think that they can reach the finals round because there are teams like Germany and Canada who are more deserving and talented than them.

Now, I'm thinking that they just sent these young star aspiring players to have some experience before they go back in reality where they are NBA players who are playing for their respective franchises and their goal is just to qualify for the Olympics where in that time, that's where they will send their best players.
1277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Frank Martin - tentative date 11/16 or 12/9 on: September 08, 2023, 04:29:34 PM

Here is the highlights for Frank Martin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_oVTxr_mRg

He is good, no doubt about it and he was being trained by Derrick James. But I do think that he hasn't fought a opposition as smart as Shakur is. He is a southpaw and Shakur has a good record fighting lefty.

On offense he is good but his chin was never tested and no one he fought are hard puncher All that he fought were patsies and low-level fighters Frank Martin will be in the biggest surprise of his life when suddenly he finds himself an opponent who can take a punch who can counter who can allude a punch.
I don't see this fight any different from fighters Shakur fought in the past, but he needs to look impressive here if he wants Haney he will be in line for major titles even title unification if he knocks out a fighter with an impressive record, even though the record is not something you can all A level record.

It's a matter of who has the better offense because Shakur isn't a big KO threat. We can expect that his opponent will survive the full 12 rounds. He only has a 50% KO rate, so I think Martin will be able to go the distance. However, I doubt if Martin can outscore Shakur since the latter boxes like Mayweather, who is hard to hit due to his quickness and high ring IQ.

I guess that is the only advantage of Frank Martin because he will have a full 12-round chance because Shakur is not that type of boxer who has a devastating knockout power. After that, it falls on him alone if how will he outsmart Shakur inside the ring because if we're talking about chances, Shakur will always have an upper hand even against boxer who is a KO artist because he can think clearly what to do and uses his speed to avoid punches that could ended a fight much sooner.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: September 08, 2023, 02:02:02 PM
I would like to see Jerwin becoming champion again but I actually voted for Takuma by decision. Jerwin is going to get schooled if he is not bringing something new to his technique.

He faced two losses against the same opponent, Fernando Daniel Martinez. Given that Takumi's upcoming opponent might have a different fighting style, there might not be a pressing need for him to change his own style. Both camps will undoubtedly study their opponent and develop a strategy they believe will work best.

Honestly, I haven't observed anything particularly exceptional from Takumi, and despite Jerwin facing some challenges lately, I still believe he has what it takes to be victorious in this match.

It's quite too late for Jerwin Ancajas to learn a new technique just to increase his chances against Takuma Inoue and to the other guys in this weight class, as they say, you cannot teach the olds dogs to learn some new tricks. I say that Jerwin will stick to what he knows and will just study Takuma even further to increase his chances rather than perfecting a new technique that doesn't even guarantee anything, instead, it will put him to a risk because he's not even accustomed to it.

I guess not new technique, but some fighting style, as we have seen him falling in love with his one punch knockout that they change the fight on his favor. But Takuma is more of a boxer, not a brawler type so it will be a contrasting clash of styles between the two.

And with that, if Jerwin, will rely on his power, it might take him the full twelve rounds just to land that one solid punch. So at least adjust his style with the type of fight that Takuma will offer to him.

I agree and furthermore, it's kind of risky for him too if he will use the same style which he is known for when he was still in the lower weight class as I think that it's one of the few reasons why he lost twice against Martinez because he did let himself to be an open book to the opposing camp.

And in this case, we can assume already that Takuma is also working to counter those style because even if that might be predictable already but it's still deadly if he will get himself hit by it. And what Ancajas needed to do right now is to be versatile enough so that he won't be predicted that easily specially in this case where he has an advantage.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 08, 2023, 07:40:37 AM

I'm just waiting. I am not excited to place a bet on this but I'm just curious as to the odds. If they are attractive then I will be betting. Casimero is clearly at an advantage in this fight. But if this means the odds are too low for him being the favorite, then I'd rather not bet. Perhaps if the odds that this fight would not go the distance is a bit high then I will be betting on it.

The betting odds for Casimero to win are not attractive for sure, but there's always a betting option. Just try to take a risk in the KO markets, as Casimero will surely want to impress the crowd to gain the attention of Inoue. So, a KO win here could be a great bet. You should choose which round, or consider round ranges, like every 3 rounds per range.

Quote
There is a high possibility of a knockout.
I find it very reasonable, as Casimero does not want people to think that he is losing his power when he moves up.

There is no doubt that the moneyline for Casimero won't be that attractive becuase this Oguni here, no matter how I see it, he really don't stand a chance against the Filipino pride. It's not underestimating, we're just stating some facts which will likely happen during fight.

And so, other betting options would be perfect for us to seek as I don't see this fight to end in the judge's hand. A knockout win by Casimero might have a sweet decent odds but not that yummy considering that bookies might've already thought ahead on what we're thinking. Anyway, let's wait for now because a fight like this, usually bookies will open their lines in two to three days before the fight night.

The more you understand gambling, the more you win.
Actually you're correct in the first line, but the second and third line are bullshit.bounty.
I agree with the line "The more you understand gambling, the more you win" based on my point of view. It is common knowledge that the gambling machines are set to favor the house, either in the short or long term. If gamblers understand this especially if they are losing, they can actually win against their desire to pursue nothing but fun.
Unfortunately, a lot refuse to understand gambling the way it is because everyone wants to try their luck and become hopeful to end up with huge profits. Perhaps this is how greed and emotions affect gamblers that they tend to overthink gambling, that they can still be the winners at the end of the day. But for those who know how to deal with gambling and know when or when not to gamble, they will never fall on the traps of gambling houses.
