You got me.  I haven't tried to run bitminter in the bitfury.   Give me a minute to try it....
Just noticed some earlier posts from today.  Some have it working fine.  Others do not.
1282  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: **US** BitFury Setup Guide on: September 25, 2013, 12:06:26 AM
Well, if possible post your  proxy_pools.conf  (not rpoxy_pools)  - I don't think they are running.   I'd guess bad config...

As a sanity check, you can always put the original pool configuration back and try restarting the proxies.

Here you go.  Showing both:

Did the Sanity Check and it started right off!  WTF.  I guess I can't use that pool?

That looks correct.  Now do a cat /run/shm/.putstat.log

That will show you if the proxies are doing anything and the port they're connected on.  I only have one running so mine looks like this:

6 1461752 937198 937192 [ 0 ]http://127.0.0.1:8332/
0 1390783 839498 839498 [ 1 ]http://127.0.0.1:8333/
0 1396964 703864 703864 [ 2 ]http://127.0.0.1:8334/

If that looks OK, do a   cat /opt/bitfury/rpoxy_pools.conf and see if it looks mostly like this:

POOL1_START=1
POOL1_ADDRESS=stratum.bitcoin.cz
POOL1_PORT=3333
POOL1_USER=xxxxx.work_01
POOL1_PASS=xxxxx
POOL2_START=0
POOL2_ADDRESS=stratum.btcguild.com
POOL2_PORT=3333
POOL2_USER=rxxxxx_02
POOL2_PASS=xxxxx
POOL3_START=0
POOL3_ADDRESS=us2.eclipsemc.com
POOL3_PORT=3333
POOL3_USER=xxxxx_worker3
POOL3_PASS=xxxxx

Not really.  I turned off the last two Proxys.  Here is mine:

0 754 0 0 [ 0 ]http://127.0.0.1:8332/
0 773 0 0 [ 1 ]http://127.0.0.1:8333/
0 761 0 0 [ 2 ]http://127.0.0.1:8334/

My miner has worked great since I got it going 2 weeks ago.  No restarts or anything.  But today I changed the pool configuration to another pool.  Now I can't get it to run again.  I have been restarting it both with the buttons in the browser and physically and it will not go.  Any suggestions?  Below is a photo of the start up page.  I'm a little concerned about the line that says "miner: no process found.

That may or may not be an issue.  Log in as pi with password raspberry, and do a "sudo screen -ls" to see what processes are running.

You should have one screen process running for each proxy you have enabled, and one for the miner.  I only have one proxy running here...

pi@bitfury ~ $ sudo screen -ls
There are screens on:
        27739..bitfury  (24/09/13 23:30:00)     (Detached)
        3657..bitfury   (21/09/13 02:24:32)     (Detached)
2 Sockets in /var/run/screen/S-root.

I filled in all three proxy's but they are to the same pool.  That's the way I had it set up when it was working.
My screen is also going off and on occasionally.

1287  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help with Blade and Proxy Issues on: September 24, 2013, 06:22:58 PM
It's working.  Two problems.  Power was not right for some reason.  Not sure why.
And I did need to change the ip address.  249 was too high.
Thanks for your help guys!
1288  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help with Blade and Proxy Issues on: September 24, 2013, 05:41:23 AM
try changing the blades IP to a lower number. that may not be in range set for your router. I had the same problem, lowered IP settings to .200 and it worked
I bet you're right. Will try in the morning.
1289  Bitcoin / Mining support / Help with Blade and Proxy Issues on: September 24, 2013, 02:49:16 AM
I have read through all the guides and had this working briefly but got interrupted and did not save something right.
Can't seem to get the proxy to pick up the miner. Can anyone look at these and see if I'm doing something obviously newb?

1291  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU+USA facility - need samples for one board on: September 23, 2013, 02:13:11 PM
Hello

I just want to clear a few things up here, based on some PM's I received.

One thing is I have not made any profit, or received a single bitcent from this group buy thing.

This is something I had nothing to do with what so ever.

However: If you are a North American customer, and you were involved in the group buy and received some sort of discount I will honor your coupons.

If you are not a north American Customer you will be going through lucko to buy your boards, and he is certainly welcome to charge less money for his boards if God Bless him, he can find a way to make a profit here.

Also everyone is up in arms because I guesstimated that I am making a profit of less than $100 per board which apparently to some is a staggering amount, please key in on the word "less than" and not on $100 - when all is said and done, I add in logistics, shipping costs, , the money I paid just for the rights to this design, my own time and headache  the profit is much much much less. So in reality if you count the money I have already spent on this development process it is very likely I will not make any profit at all.

The main reason I got involved at all is because I have a lot of BFL chips coming, and I wanted to support the project that I thought had the most promise.

Also I had someone suggest buying a cheaper fan. You are welcome to save some money by designing your own cooling system, however you are going to have a very hard time cooling 16 chips with anything less than a very high end fan. A cheap $5 fan is not going to work here.

These boards are being made in very small batches at a time and in the USA, this is not a cheap process,

Please also understand this includes a 5 day build time because personally I think it makes more sense to spend a little extra now and get the units hashing sooner than later. However if you want a 10 or 15 day build time I can lower the price for you.

I hope this clears everything up and I wont get any more angry PM's Tongue

-JJ

Thank you JJ.  That makes a lot of sense. We look forward to getting our boards.

If that's a version 1 mainboard, the cards should be the other way around.  The 6 should be the last card.
I may not have the order right. But will check. Thx!
1293  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: September 21, 2013, 03:49:03 PM
out of curiosity whats everyones cards hashing at, i'm only getting avg 19 out of my starter which is kinda a bummer.

Board 1 - 27.5 avg
Board 2 - 26.25 avg

I'm too paranoid to do even the pencil mod.  And I just have a couple 120mm fans blowing in their general direction.  I make sure not to disturb even a single wire or breathe on it too hard since everything seems to be working fine.

 *knocks wood

What I realized after reward-halving last Nov was that hashing hardware need to be squeezed to the point where I can extract the last juice out of them without killing. Just my 2 satoshis

I have great respect for OCers!  But I'm just not that kind of risk taker.  With my luck, I wouldn't just destroy the miner, I'd burn my house down too, lol.
Ok. You convinced me. I'm going to pencil it.
I have:
1. 6.2
2. 20.5

I wonder when will the price of H-boards be decreased.  Shocked
who knows - mining is cool and all but don't expect to get ROI with anything on the market today - especially not in btc

ROI, schmROI!  Who really cares at this point?  I have an addiction to feed.   Kiss
It should at least be passing concern.

Need a warranty exchange on a blade when you return.
PM sent.

not enough subnet mask to go from 192.168.x.x to 10.x.x.x Smiley

Do you have a separate switch? You can manually change your PC's IP address to be 192.168.1.x just so you can connect to blade and change it's config
Yes, thx and just got pc to show 192.168.0.1 as gateway, however, I never got docs with new blade and do not know the blade IP plus if it is 192.168.1.x I am still off some with 192.168.0.x.

Also, good idea to change the blade and then can go back to 10.0.0.1 if needs be.

thx

ip should be 192.168.1.254 as long as your router gives that range. 1-254

I am trying to connect a blade to my office network and I think I have a similar issue to above.
The Default Gateway is 192.168.0.1.  The router goes to 254.
But I can't access the config page using 192.168.1.254:8000 or 192.168.0.254:8000.  Tried from both a wireless and direct connection on a networked PC.  The blade is plugged right into the router and it's flashing green.
Any suggestions?

You need to be on a network with 192.168.1.x.  Can you temporarily change your router's IP address to 192.168.1.1 instead of 192.168.0.1?  You will be able to connect if you do that.

EDIT: You will need to change your PC's IP address to 192.168.1.(whatever) also.  If you want to stay on the 192.168.0.x net, you can change the blade to 192.168.0.x, and then set your other IPs back to normal.

OK -thanks for the info.  That will be challenging.

How much for the little dude?
1299  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [ANN] NanoFury NF1 USB stick - GROUP BUY of BITFURY chips + US PRODUCT ASSEMBLY on: September 16, 2013, 04:46:21 AM
Want to pre-order but not sure how much to pay. I have been reading this thread for about 1 hour now.

hmm... maybe we should redo the opening post

OK, here is the shortest/simplest answer:

If you want full devices - that's 0.4BTC per device now,
If you have your own bitfury chips and want them just assembled into our device - that's 0.2BTC per device now,
and by Oct/3 we'll know exactly how much the final price is going to end up being and you'll need to send us the remainder.

I will order at least 10. How close/far away are we from 3000.
1300  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: September 15, 2013, 11:20:12 PM
I really feel the need to add some October boards to my August Start Kit.  But my calculator tells me that unless I have them by October 7 they won't ROI.
So am I looking at this wrong?  There are 179 boards left to sell so I guess there some with the same fear.
And what about those who bought the 300+ boards.  Regrets now or will Dave & Co. still make it worth our while to purchase?
