1301  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Pre-pandemic Unfinished NBA Prediction Tournament on: April 08, 2022, 11:04:45 PM
Just received your PM.

Maraming dahilan kaya natigil mga palaro last year kasi ng pandemic and until now pahirapan pa rin, lalo na't pagkatapos ng pandemic yung bagyong odette naman ang kasunod.  Medyo nakabangon na rin but not totally healed.  (Tulad ko pahirapan sa paghahanap ng internet connection)

As you can see, hindi ako sumasali sa mga NBA predictions and NBA dicussions kasi hindi naman ako marunong maglaro nito.  But, in any amount regarding the donation pwedi naman ako makapag bigay.

Anyway, welcome back to the forum.
Appoint nalang tayo ng hahawak sa fund if ever hindi makabalik sa mate bl4nkcode, pero pwedi pa naman sya if active lang palagi.
1302  Other / Meta / Re: How I can get high rank in BitcoinTalk ? on: April 06, 2022, 02:57:37 PM
I've seen negative tags removed by admin a while back simply because they were blindly given to anyone who supports the flag for cases involving him.
Is this really true?  Can you point out who is this user that luckily removed the red tag by the admin?  It might I missed this topic I guess.

[unless the user who provided the tag agrees to remove it].
This was what I thought and if the admin removed the inappropriate red tag a while back so how do we approach them regarding this?

Not that simple I guess, if the tag is given to any DT members and if that's valid, it shows a warning to others and it will visible to them and that's what OP got on his profile.
1303  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I planned to keep my keys, good or stupid? on: April 06, 2022, 02:22:27 PM
Is this too much or not bad?
Your idea isn't bad but I think you're too paranoid about your keys.
Stainless steel and engraving on it the keys and have a copy like 3-4 pieces and place it on different places is enough to protect your private key.  It's fireproof and waterproof or any disaster will come your private key were still there not unless someone will steal it from you physically.
Your book is also good since it has a strong cover, place your keys on the different pages and spread them, for sure no one will suspect them as your private keys.

Saving your private key offline is enough, just buy hardware wallets it has better and safety features that can protect the hardware wallet itself, Trezor and Ledger Nano S as an option are enough too.
1304  Economy / Speculation / Re: [2022-03-26] Bitcoin sellers keep BTC price action in check amid $45K 'fakeout' on: April 05, 2022, 11:59:55 PM
At least Bitcoin was able to survive at pumping price in 4 days and maintain the range of $45k, it has strong support that surely will the price have a resistance that will occur by next month or this month.

Dont look at the market price by day, the historical price has shown enough that Bitcoin is good for holding in a long term, not just the short term.
For now, let's wait for what will happen next, it's been more cash out for political purposes but that won't give any fakeout for sure.

It's normal that Bitcoin will fluctuate the price but we're still in the bullish stage so nothing to worry about.  Based on my crystalball, $71k is possible will come and hit with the new ATH at the mid of this year.
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge price this year ? on: April 05, 2022, 11:53:11 PM
Is doge still path to 1$ ?
How fast it gona be so ?
A meme coin that has no limited supply and everyone can generate coin through mining, it's possible not unless Elon Lusk will hype this coin gain.
A genuine increase of coin is based on the demand and supply, if the supply keeps generating, there's nothing we can do with the price, it keeps sinking the price to the dip dept or declining.

I never hold this coin because I know it's pure hype when the price will increase, if it will increase, for sure Elon Musk did something.

1306  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tax report software? on: April 05, 2022, 11:28:05 PM
I think it depends on where your country is based, so I searched it a little bit, and here's a review of crypto tax software that I have found.
https://fortunly.com/investments/best-crypto-tax-software/

I don't know how a review reliable is as we know that it should be a community review, not just an author review.  But I hope this may give you some information about what you've looking for and which you prefer.
1307  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do your own research on: April 05, 2022, 11:10:36 PM
So Now my question is: Are there specific trusted  sites that can narrow down ones knowledge on investing in cryptocurrency and can boldly say “This is a financial advise” because there are so many contents out there and some of them are contradictory..
As you've said, always do our own research instead of asking for financial advice from someone or random people on the internet.
But you're right again, there are too many contents on Youtube or even in blogs/articles that you will learn and make as your preference as a financial advisor.  Just look at this, ( how-to-choose-a-financial-advisor ), read the content, and learn on it, not just the ads.

Do your own research (DYOR) is always the best practice ever.
1308  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which trading indicators/traders would you recommend? on: April 05, 2022, 10:57:34 PM
Options have been pointed out above and that's right, in addition, never forget to have a stop-loss limit and place your trade, this will help to minimize your loss because, in spot trading, you will make a profit when the market price increase and loss when it will decrease.

And next apply those tools examples given above, RSI, MACD and etc.
Get your FA and TA analysis to discover price trends using these tools MACD and Bollinger bands which are very helpful to forecast the price.  And find automated trading alerts that can ping you when met with your expected price range.
1309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microstrategy rug us again? on: April 05, 2022, 10:30:53 PM
.... Does this institutional investors manipulating the price or traders is just using there news as a negative signal?
It's more like selling on the news which is a normal market reaction. There are still uncertainties with the Russia-Ukraine conflict that's affecting the global market so expect more people to quickly take profit when there's an opportunity even if it's just 10% or less.
One of those reasons or factors on Bitcoin sharply declined or, just a coincidence.
The market behavior was always like this and besides, we're still lucky because the market pumped for about 4 days and then the correction has occurred, together with the news of Microstrategy which also contribute to dragging down the price too much.  But now, look at the market, it seems it will resist and the price will increase again.

Whatever reason, don't look at the market by hours or by day, it makes you frustrated and results in panic selling, just aim for long-term holding while at the same time making a profit.
1310  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: What can we Do to Reduce Ponzi scheme? on: April 04, 2022, 11:53:05 PM
N/B: not all Ponzi scheme are actually  scam intended!
Most of all turn out into scams, when the bag is full of loot from different investors and when they smell that it's time to execute the exit scam.
All comments above were right, understand the cash flow of the fund and how it will survive even without investors.  It's paying when someone investor has been recruited, the invested money will pay to a return and this circle where continue until they will found out already runaway together with investors money.

Is there any way we can do to Reduce these scammers like plagiarism?

1311  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Learn From Your Senior Colleagues. on: April 04, 2022, 11:31:44 PM
It totally has a difference if you will compare a genuine newbie to the newbie account that has already knowledgeable on this forum, through these (below), you can determine that it's possible they aren't newbies behind on that account.

  • Fastest growing account
  • Fastest earning merit
  • technically knowledgable on Bitcoin
  • Already knows about forum rules

It's totally different when you saw a genuine newbie account, they even have mistakes on making threads.

Newbies know This
1) Readers are Leaders: You can not grow if you don't read.
2) Experience Teaches Better: Learn from the experience of your seniors.
3) Information: You get more information about the task ahead of you when you learn from your seniors.

Summary: Success does not come from hard work alone, without good information as a newbie, you will always find the forum difficult.
It is indeed!
1312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just watch "Trust no one" diocumentary film related 2019 biggest crypto scam on: April 04, 2022, 11:09:04 PM
I already watched this on Netflix and I thought this documentary is all about Bitcoin but isn't, it's about the mysterious death of the CEX owner which is they have doubt that it was an exit scam.  Sad to say why they highlight Bitcoin in this film of documentary, they should warn everyone not to store Bitcoin on exchange instead.

This is how we can apply the "Not your Keys, Not your coins" we don't know when the exchange turn out scam which is in that film, there's a story of a man who lends money just to invest in crypto and entrust all of his assets into that exchange.

Everything in that short film is unexplained, the mysterious death of the exchange CEO becomes suspicious.  Dont trust any exchange that doesn't have enough reputation and store your asset in a long term.  Because as I understand in that film when you deposited coins on that exchange, they create a fake balance in your portfolio but your coins were ended out in their wallet (a conclusion based on an expert investigation on that documentary film), and in fact, they dont have a cold wallet which is very suspicious at the beginning.
1313  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tell people about bitcoin but don't force them to invest on: April 03, 2022, 11:05:15 PM
Putting them under pressure gives no help but instead, it was a burden to them and they will blame us if they will lose. It should be their will and willingness, we let them make decisions, not us.
This!  This is the reason why I didn't even force anyone to adopt Bitcoin or invest in it without any of their knowledge because I know it's hard for them to understand how useful this technology is to us, I'm not telling first the profit because they might be chasing this without even understanding how volatile works.

Usually, I hate convincing people to invest in crypto, but showing them that I'm successful on it and letting them first understand how it will work might be a good step towards embracing this technology.

Back then 2018, how many scams have been reported because the number of crypto investors has been increased without proper knowledge of it.
1314  Other / Meta / Re: Is the IQ test really necessary? on: April 01, 2022, 09:28:11 AM
And in your opinion, is this IQ test necessary?
Yes, it's necessary. Making 3 posts without testing your IQ will result a permanent ban of your account.
I tend to agree!

And, remember what theymos said if you've got only 120 IQ test scores after April Fool's Day end, you will be subjected to ban, and surely the ban hammer will directly hit into your account.

This is now how to determine the shitposters and spammers on the forum.  Cheesy
1315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbie Q/A on: April 01, 2022, 09:14:16 AM
- I have an initial capital of $5000, what coin should I invest in for the long term?
Though it was stated above that you shouldn't rely on other suggestions regarding financial advice but here's my opinion regarding your questions.

Since you're talking about investment in the long term, choose a project that has been proven, tested, decentralized, and very volatile that has fast-moving in the market.  IMO, Bitcoin is the first choice and as others said, this potentially will have profit in a long term.

Quote
- How to avoid easy scam coins?
These are my opinions,
  • Always DYOR
  • Don't trust a hype project
  • Always prefer on the decentralized concept
  • Have a real use project
1316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbie invest on: April 01, 2022, 08:24:45 AM
I have 2 BNB, what is a good project to invest in? Something with utility, no shit coins
As you can see, those suggestions above were talking about Bitcoin and that's the right investment, you can sure no shitcoin behind on it.
Okay, you have 2 BNB, just buy Bitcoin using BNB and quickly transfer it into a hardware wallet or any wallet that is open-source, and make sure you've owned your private key.

Assuming that you're really a newbie, understand how to secure our crypto asset in a safe place, remember always the "Not your keys, Not your coins" policy.  It's always risky to hold for a long term in a centralized coin like what you had (BNB), it should be a truly decentralized currency.
1317  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk IQ Improvement Service $5 only on: April 01, 2022, 08:05:11 AM
Great service provider, but it seems ain't convince with your IQ trust score yet.

Once it will increase to 160 above, I will definitely avail of your service.
1318  Other / Meta / Re: IQ testing now required before posting on: April 01, 2022, 07:48:56 AM
..everyone with an IQ below 120 will be banned.
Maybe it's time to say goodbye to the Bitcointalk.org community.
I've got below 120 IQ and am subjected to being banned.  Cry

1319  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Coinomi wallet issues??? on: March 31, 2022, 09:42:22 AM
The thing that I don't like about this wallet is that has high fees..........
Coinomi allow you the set the transaction fee manually.
To do so, go to "Setting". Tap on "Advanced Setting" under "Wallet" and then select "Transaction fees". After that, you can set the fee rate.
I used once this Coinomi wallet and never thought that there is a "custom" option, when I was using this, I used the "Low" transaction option and "High" button option if you want it faster transaction which is I thought there was no other option of lowering the fees.  Thanks for enlightening me with this.

No doubt overall free app open-source wallet, the Electrum wallet is good so far for a single wallet that's intended for storing Bitcoin only.  For multi-chain or multi-coin supported, go for the hardware wallet instead.

1320  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to turn a USB Pendrive into a crypto wallet on: March 31, 2022, 09:07:29 AM
Why did you choose the Coinomi wallet app which is a close source than the Electrum wallet which is a completely open-source wallet as your example?

It's has a great advantage when you have a hardware wallet over this USB drive, there's no protection such as a protected PIN from the device or some kind of optional passphrase.  It might USB that can be used as an airgap wallet but NOT the hardware wallet.

There's nothing wrong with people having DIY crypto wallets as long as they know how to work it technically but it's always been a crucial part that they need to take a risk.  But if you will put a large amount, why not spend a little amount to buy a hardware wallet that has built a security feature inside it doesn't leave any footprint for every transaction you have.

Go for raspberry pi for the airgap wallet than the USB Pendrive.
