1306  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pattaya on: August 30, 2011, 04:57:26 AM
I didn't read the posts other than what was being quoted as 'proof'. I really don't see where 'pedo' and 'rapist' are being 'proven'. As for thinking girls who prance around as sluts getting raped deserve it, deserve is a strong word, but pretty much all guys think that don't they? I tell my girlfriend to dress sexy and she says 'Korean guys don't want their girlfriends to dress sexy because it tempts other guys'. Kind of solid logic if you ask me. Like being a white dude strolling through the bronx, being a jew hanging out in front of hitler's house, or selling dvds out of the back of your car in a police station parking lot-- it's common sense. I don't think rape is right, and I hate rapists. I don't think it's a girl's fault for something soneone else does, but apparently I have way too much common sense to be alive in the politically correct century because I think it's each person's own responsibility to watch themselves, not dress like a whore and hang out on a dangerous street in front of a club at 2am. Why girls are 'surprised' it happens is what makes me stop wanting to care. Actually 'not caring' though is far off. I don't think I could ever stop caring completely. I doubt Bruce could either. Probably just another one of the many thoughts we all have that should just be thought and not spoken, but he as an overly verbose person like myself said it anyway (I tend tobget that way after midnight, that's why I never touch alcohol).

Again, all this aside-- where's the proof he's a pedo?

what the fuck is wrong with you?  Huh

this statement from bruce is no better:

Quote
Dressing as sexually provocative as a streetwalker who’s late on the rent…. and parading around in front of men in public like this… Can be like smoking crack in front of a crackhead. Or at the very least, playing drinking games till everyone is in a drunken stupor… in front of a recovering alcoholic.

Sorry, I don’t drink in front of alcoholics in recovery. I DO claim some responsibility for being a thoughtful compassionate human being. I don’t GET MY JOLLIES TRYING TO TEMPT PEOPLE BEYOND THEIR HUMAN ABILITY TO WITHSTAND THAT TEMPTATION… Only to watch them cave…. And then to declare them weak… And criticize them and blame them and laugh at them…

I think MANY women get their jollies — cheap thrills — playing with the sex drives of healthy adult men. They play with them as if they are teasing the animals at the zoo with hints of food…

And then laughing at them… for the sake of entertainment.

And if they get raped…

They had no responsibility for it whatsoever.

Because politically correct society in 2006 gives them blanket immunity to blame.

for fucks sake. this is insane, why would anyone defend this asshat?
1307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ATTN: MtGox on: August 29, 2011, 11:00:35 PM
mt gox rewards high volume trading. fee drops from .6% to .55% once your trade volume reaches 100btc in a month (this seems to be relatively new). so im pretty sure they wont be banning bots anytime soon....why would they? high volume trading means higher profits on their end...

this whining about bots is asinine..... my bot puts in trades within a trading range that adjusts to price (somewhat like a trailing stop-loss in forex or stocks) exactly the same as i would (and did before i got the bot) , only now i dont have to monitor my account 24/7 or bother with the math....i can keep it running and do something more productive than staring at charts all day.

no one is at an unfair advantage either, free and open source trade bots are freely available to anyone with 2 minutes and access to the search bar on this forum. in fact, heres a link to the one i use; dnnbitcoin.aricie.com its open source, its free, and you can customize it however you see fit.

isnt bots driving the price down. its traders. bots arent swayed by psychology...they dont panic sell like people do.

you dont see the forex market falling apart because of EA's (forex tradebots)  do you?

1308  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone daytrading at Mtgox? on: August 29, 2011, 08:28:03 PM
seriously? btc price swings way more than 1.2% each day..... (.6% on each side of the trade @ mtgox)

there is plenty of opportunity to make money scalping/daytrading in the current market.

1310  Other / Archival / Re: Should we move the various implemented currencies to child boards? on: August 28, 2011, 02:06:22 AM
theymos said that was a definate no-go when he made the alt currency board:

OK, I created it because the alternate cryptocurrencies might be of interest to Bitcoin users. However, this forum remains the Bitcoin Forum. I will definitely not create subsections there: the other currencies should get their own forums.
1311  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Oops haha! Special Forces caught in Libya! on: August 27, 2011, 09:19:15 PM
no of course they wouldnt have been hired by the rebels.

however, being hired by the usa to act in an unoffical capacity for the us government (allowing the us to operate over there and still say they dont; plausible deniability) is a very real possibility.  in fact, given the number of contractors in iraq and afghanistan (they almost outnumber the troops in a lot of areas) id say its extremely likely.

privatization of war, welcome to the 21st century.

1314  Economy / Speculation / Re: could alternate blockchains be driving the btc price down? on: August 27, 2011, 02:56:24 AM
i not buying the end of the month thing, we've had plenty of month ending rallys.
1315  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Oops haha! Special Forces caught in Libya! on: August 27, 2011, 01:07:19 AM
could be contractors too...i would imagine xe/blackwater and a whole host of other mercenaries government contractors are over there.
1316  Economy / Speculation / could alternate blockchains be driving the btc price down? on: August 26, 2011, 09:39:08 PM
im wondering if these alternate blockchains are driving down btc's price...

it seems a lot of people were making major btc mining the other blockchains (some people on the forum are claiming to have made @400 btc in a day of mining ix/io coins)...i would imagine that a decent percentage cashed/are cashing out the easy btc they made on the other blockchains...

enough people selling starts a downward trend, the downward trend turns into a panic sale.

its just a guess, and i could be wrong (since there has been a pretty steady overall downtrend since the bubble popped at 30) but i wouldnt discount it..... what do you guys think?

1320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who the FUCK is making bitcoin viruses? on: August 25, 2011, 08:14:05 PM
no. to be blunt, you got jumped on for making a pointless thread.

everyone here knows viruses exist and should know how to prevent getting them.

however, running around screaming "OMFG A VIRUS WE NEED TO STOP IT PEOPLE!!!!!!!" doesnt help the situation at all.  you cant do anything to stop viruses and botnets outside of securing your own computer.

people have told you that for 3 pages now.
