1301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much was your last big win? on: October 23, 2022, 10:18:43 PM

I don't know what minimum amount we can consider as a "big win" but maybe in the last 1 month, I made some good winnings from playing at fiat casinos. Maybe around $100 worth in our currency and I think for 5-6 sessions before being busted at all on my last session before taking a break.

Here in crypto-gambling, I don't have a recent big win but what matter is, I mostly win compare to loss. I usually gamble at sports betting and at most cases, just betting on reasonable odds and not risking much on big odds or doing a parlay just to target a big win.
1302  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: October 23, 2022, 10:12:29 PM

1303  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: October 23, 2022, 10:05:51 PM

Not sure kung 30 or 60 days pero regardless, di ako nakapagpa schedule agad kasi nga walang slots in the next 30 to 60 days.

1304  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy trading profitable? on: October 23, 2022, 09:57:44 PM
Currently he is dedicated to being a trader who offers a copy-trading service, but still I don't trust him, he does a lot of technical analysis, and I think he knows the tricks the most and that's something that anyone can get a tutorial from any page,

As a copy-trader (lead trader) in a trading platform or owned service?

If the former, on what platform he intends to be a lead trader? If the latter, I think that was just the same as those who provide signal service which likely won't be that hyped even how good your friend is since in most cases, that service is crap and ended up in a scam.

It's hard to be one of those traders that would be eligible as can be copied by those who will use the copy-trading feature. Like in the Etoro platform, I heard that trading stats there should be really decent and impressive before being one of those traders that can be copied. That's the reason also why copy-service on that platform is really expensive and out of reach by those small traders. Not sure though what's the current price of that service.
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ethereum be profitable anytime in the future? on: October 23, 2022, 09:50:27 PM
With change in algorithm and rising electricity bills can mining ethereum be profitable again in the future?

For let's say ETH can still be mined or not, I suggest just buying a bunch of ETH from your supposed mining capital and then from there, work on good progress on how it can be profitable or not either you will just simply hold it or trade it thru riding the market volatility.

Remember that when mining coins thru rigs, the main factor is not just limited to electricity. There are lots of things to be considered. Just imagine those who claimed they have cheap electricity bills or are closed to free are even struggling to get a profit***.
1306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Token Swap? on: October 23, 2022, 09:43:35 PM
Most times they only swap investors token but don't swap airdrop participants token. My question is why do some Altcoin project do Token Swap?

All tokens on hold that are currently on the supported wallet will be taken into the snapshot regardless of whether how users acquired those coins.

Can you tell me what coin or token that did a swap before where airdrop tokens didn't eligible on that swap?

Technically, that was hard to implement into a contract as airdrop tokens are part of the original chain. If that's the case, then the old investors' token won't be included too and all coins on the new chain should be purchased new.
1307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does new projects succeed in bear on: October 22, 2022, 11:35:16 PM
It doesn't matters if we are in a bear market or bull market, new project development will continue to increase because the demands in increasing daily, so project development does not have anything to do with the market condition, and even if it does, if the team are ahead of the game there will still come out succeeding in the market and the only negative impact market downtrend may have of the new project is the exchange listening and project coin performance on the exchange and to prevent that, that is why many new projects some time prolonge their entrance into the exchange market.

But we have to consider that in most cases, new projects can't sustain their development because of a lack of funding. Investors are keen to invest because the market is in a bloody situation that's why instead of risking money on new projects, they will ignore it for now. That's why it's hard for these project owners to find a good number of investors that willing to put money on that new projects.

Remember that most new projects can easily attract investors if the market also shows a good movement.
1308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Man Won $51,000 in Sports Betting With a Bet of Just $1.072 on: October 22, 2022, 11:31:53 PM
He's putting himself at risk by exposing himself he is now the target of greedy people who will target him because this kind of person is so naive in handling huge amounts of money, especially coming from gambling, he will end up with nothing just a few years if he will not protect himself from these greedy people around him.
People who are betting in a lottery or playing in casinos should practice discretion it always pays to be simple and not boast that you won a big amount.

I think the winner of the story didn't expose himself nor boast about his winnings. It's just that, in any case, it was revealed.

For that, it's not that it will automatically trigger greedy people to come for him but I'm sure that man already knows what to do to protect himself.

We shouldn't judge the book by its cover and just hope for the best that no bad thing will happened on the said winner.
1309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 22, 2022, 11:26:10 PM
Ginebra has 1.77 odds while Magnolia has 1.95. I do not know why Ginebra is favored to win here but in my opinion, Magnolia has better chance of winning. Magnolia's local players performance is stunning at this conference. They are performing very well, and they complement their import. Even though Ginebra bounce back every time they lose, I'll take my chances with magnolia since they have better odds. This match is a toss-up anyway, so I go where pay is better when I win.

Everytime a "Manila Clasico" happened, odds for both teams is always the same, and not that gap for let's say both teams are playing healthy. I was a bit surprised that the odds turned out like that. I also have to agree that Magnolia should be the slight favorite for an obvious.

Maybe bookies expected that Ginebra will do something good as they are against a top team. This team performs better when they are up against a top team instead of a mid-team. And since BGSM is able to give the Bay Area Dragons their first loss, they might also be the first team to beat Magnolia this conference.

Just "maybe".
1310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Generate Profit in this bear time? on: October 22, 2022, 11:19:19 PM
In many days i see in my port filo 5$ up and 5$ down , what is the best strategy to increase profit?

Right timing and execution indeed. It's not that everything will always go won during a bear time.

However, during bear, the priority of most based on my own view is to just accumulate no matter what.

If you are not a day trader, taking profits can be done later on. What matter is, you are prepared once the market shows being in a bull trend again.
1311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 22, 2022, 11:17:28 PM
but there's a possibility that they will ask you for a KYC amount like that are qualified to be in KYC

Big chance of happening. No choice but to comply because a big money is at stake. If the said site is somehow reputable, we don't actually need to be worried about providing our personal documents, well if we are really eager to get the money.

That concern needs a separate topic though where the subject is, "if you win big and the site asked for KYC before you can withdraw it, will you comply with it?"
1312  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unpopular opinion about crypto gambling on: October 22, 2022, 11:06:05 PM
Why ? Just why ?

We have to be ready that maybe somewhere in the future, KYC will be asked by the gambling site not just because of usual big-related winnings, accounts being monitored doing some unusual behavior, or any related cases that can trigger their alarm and security.

However, I have to disagree that complying with the KYC is a stupid thing just because crypto-gambling is supposed to be anonymous. There are lots of reputable gambling sites around where even though there's the possibility of asking for KYC, still not a mandatory thing to do.
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 21, 2022, 11:59:10 PM
He can follow the footstep of Manny Pacquiao but he will never beat the achievement of Pacquiao who is the only 8th division champion. Inoue though one of the most popular boxers now I find him not a total risk taker as he does not accept every challenge on him, just like when Casimero was still a champ and he was challenged, he did respond to words that he will fight him but did not sign a contract, not sure if it's his promoter of it's really him who is not interested in fighting his closest rival.

I think the topic here shouldn't lead to Inoue beating the achievement of Pacquaio. That is surely out of his vocabulary and plan.

He will just go with the flow, defeating all of his opponents on the way and if he will reached the same achievement as Pacquiao, then that is something he didn't target but just do his thing to always win.

About the chances of him meeting Casimero in the future, it's possible although Quadro Alas needs to start building his rank in the Super Bantamweight.
1314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 21, 2022, 11:56:38 PM
First, will you quit the game immediately and withdraw all your funds or will you play for awhile because you are excited.

As far as my gambling habit is concerned, I will not quit immediately after winning such an amount. That's already been my habit since before. I think that risking more won't really that a bad idea since after all the winnings are decent. As much as possible though, fight the temptation once that risks amount to continue gambling loss on the process.

I will still give at max 15% of my winnings to gamble. Who knows if luck will strike for a second chance and that is possible.
1315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win big in casino, would it be publicized? on: October 21, 2022, 11:52:53 PM
Will gambling site ask for the permission of the winner for the winning to go public? Or the winner can just be anonymous in a way his name will not be mentioned?

I do think that in most cases, gambling sites are not announcing the name of the winner in public.

Instead, they are mentioning the name by its username and you should often see that if you subscribe to a mailing list of a certain gambling site.

That's also the case in fiat online gambling sites I believed. A username is only what is mentioned in the public.
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2022, 11:50:54 PM
Hawks are looking like my dark horse candidate to shock people this year, they are actually looking pretty decent, they have good players in all right places and could shock the world by having 50+ wins and going deep in playoffs this year if they are lucky.

Actually, Atlanta Hawks already made a noise when they were able to enter the playoffs last 2020-21 after 3 seasons of not making it always the playoffs.

To add to that, they even reached the Conference Finals that year but just lose to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Although the following year, they experienced a first-round exit, it shows that Atlanta Hawks is an improved team now. The reason for their improvement is obviously because of their main guy, Trae Young alongside their consistent good role players.
1317  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leaving your coins on exchanges on: October 20, 2022, 11:21:52 PM
What effective way you use to protect your coin as a trader?

Since coins in exchanges are not truly controlled by our own, then no choice but to hope that no bad thing will happen on that exchange. To minimize the risks, only trade on a platform that somehow won't likely ruin their reputation thru scams. Besides, I trust those reputable exchanges are doing their best to make our funds safe.

Of course, since our coins are already at risk of leaving on an exchange, let's should be worked too on protecting our respective accounts by adding layers of protection and security for hackers not breach them that easily.
1318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: October 20, 2022, 11:16:11 PM
Story 1
A man stole his girlfriend's 10k to place a bet. He won 100 million and returned 10k to his girlfriend. His girlfriend is furious and demands 40 million dollars.

Their relationship is a pure sh*t and they shouldn't be lived together.

First of all, there should be no stealing. For let's say the man just does it for a "good" purpose then why does he only give his girlfriend 10,000 instead of sharing the money won together "if they really loved each other"?

Second, why there's a thing that the girlfriend is demanding 40 Million dollars? I don't see a valid reason that it will end up like that again, "if they really loved each other?"

Story 2
An apprentice who won 16 million naira on BET was asked by his boss to split the money into two parts. This 50 - 50. As the story goes, people sided with his boss, and he had no choice but to comply. It's important to remember that the money used to bet belongs to the apprentice, not the boss.

The story is not complete. I'm curious about why it went up on the concern that the boss should also take part in the pie.

If the money was completely owned by the apprentice, he has full control of it and should not be obliged to give some to his boss.

These are two gambling stories that are very interesting

It seems to me that these stories are not interesting but maybe just a product of imagination.
1319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you get over a bad loss? on: October 20, 2022, 10:49:05 PM
What's your favorite thing to do when you get a bad loss?

As an experienced gambler, I don't do anything but just take a break, simple as that. Since that heavy feeling is already there, no choice but to move on. I'm not used to doing other things if I experienced a bad loss such as going outside for a drink, social interaction, playing games, etc. as that was all useless for me.

Accept the loss, move on and prepare for another round of betting. But it's been a while since I experienced a bad loss, especially in sports betting. Don't be used to experiencing that painful experience and worked your way to be a good bettor as you progress. Take that as your lesson.
1320  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Metaverse still a thing on: October 20, 2022, 10:44:43 PM
So this begs the question, is Metaverse still the future? is it just a fever dream we once had that we are now waking up on?

Why considered Metaverse "as a future" in the first place? For me, it's just a usual thing that can be happened in the future as part of the growing and improving technology. You have to understand that the idea was become popular today because of the hype but the execution isn't as simple as everyone thinks.

Just don't dream about it and let just the "usual" progress take place rather than be carried by the hype.

Simply, if it will happen, it will happen.
