Pathetic decision from both Durant and the Warriors organization, the NBA turned into a joke and a went full circus/retard today.

I know it's not a new kid per se but what do you think about Factom/FCT? I think it can make some very nice gains in the next upcoming weeks/months after the halvening and with so much ETH fud ahead of us. It's a very simple project with high demand from all industries, very much undervalued if you take into account ETH is still at $12!...

My alt strategy is more about buying panic and selling the relief than about trying to determine which coin will be the next hot ticket, so maybe I'm not the best person to ask. Presently I don't have a 'hook' on FCT, so I'm not going to trade it.

That's wise yes. To be honest, ETH for me it's completely dead and you know how much I "hyped" it. However, I for one couldn't foresee all this DAO situation and how it just keeps getting worse. So in crypto you really never know. I guess you don't have faith in any altcoin but really, ETH was destined to be around $30 by this time (all based on potential and "hype" we agree).

Right now for me the project is completely dead in the water no matter what they do or it will take many months to recover slowly. What I don't understand is why are we still at $12.

Are you planning to buy back in if it starts dropping to $4-5? What's your bottom? Do you think ETH can recover? I'm sorry to ask so many questions but you seem to have a much more surgically approach (I know you are mostly a trader) and I'm more inclined to long term investment and long positions (within reasonable).

I think it is important for the Crypto space to have a healthy Ethereum but I have to say, things are not at all looking good.

Imho crypto space doesn't care. Money will flow into the next new kid as always.

What is planned now with the slock.it company?

Lol, what do you think? These guys tried to sell some sort of "secure lock virtual flying decentralized machine" and their experiment of 250M got hacked...

…and then what? I am not in favour of these guys, in fact I am very much the opposite (especially Stephan Tuals pompous manners. I am not sure whether I ever disliked someone I haven't met in person that fast and that much. And blaming the guy who almost found the exploit for not reporting it – cheap shot), but you can argue that these guys have learned now to be diligent. Maybe I wouldn't trust them with 150 million worth of ETH again, but if they continue their project, I'd watch it closely.

Additionally to themselves and people they hired, you'll have A LOT of eyes watching this project, checking every nook an cranny for flaws.

Is there any statemnt from the slock.it guys on how they plan to proceed?

I've lost faith completely in smart contracts and Ethereum, the whole situation is ridiculous and I'm very much inclined to think it was an inside job, perhaps from a former dev if you are not into the crazy conspiracy stuff. The whole thing is just years ahead from working in the real world. Airbnb and Uber are great, if you want to use a lock you can buy one on Amazon and use a password, doesn't get much easier than that. Complete decentralization is ridiculous, is something that will never catch on unless it's controlled/centralized at some point. Apple and Google can be decentralized and have multiple nodes and branches all over the world and enjoy the same security benefits. Many of these companies probably will use one global blockchain that THEY will be able to control, just like Ethereum did with the DAO. I'm sure as hell they won't be using no Bitcoin, Ethereum, Lisk or whatever cryptoanarcho weirdos think it's cool. Yes Microsoft, Samsung, whatever, are interested, they take a peek and promote some conferences over the world, then they hire the best who can actually help them with their problems.

If the slock.it guys were so revolutionary they would be already fully backed by VC. All these projects are out to get your BTC/Fiat sooner or later, you can still make money but don't ever lose sight of that. You can have a decentralized project without any bs coins and tokens based on BTC, if it works you start charging companies and offer entreprise plans, like Dropbox and many others did.

What I like about the news recently is the move of DROSE to the knicks. New york knicks is a good market so he can be popular their when we can show the old rose. I believe Anthony would love to play with a very good point guard, another big 3 to watch with porzingis.
i just hoping that this big three will combined good for new your i can see all of them is a good in terms of shooting ability but
in terms of being a team player and win the game i can't see them to blend the team, hope the coach can make them
a good plays and team works.
The big are both good in offense, porzingis can shoot threes and when he is aggressive he is good in getting offensive rebound. Under a new coach we can expect a good performance with the offense oriented coach of hornacek.
If porzingis will be consistent, they have a good chance to enter in the playoffs this coming season, I really thought last season that porzingis will be the rookie of the year but he failed to perform consistently and his team is not performing well. I hope this coming season he will reclaim the porzingis we know.

Yeah well, it was his first year and he's very young from Europe, he adapted perfectly but fans have to give him some time, he is 20 years old and hasn't played any college or was exposed to the NBA or the american culture. Compared to Towns it was a no brainer to give the ROTY to him. I think it's a little too much to expect Porzingis to be an All Star this year but he definitely has the potential to do that in the near future.

Rose is a very hard working player, sometimes misunderstood, we can all agree he had a lot of bad luck in his career. I think if he can avoid injuries he will play great as he is in the last year of his contract. Carmelo should be in better form this year, the guy needs to lean and bulk up at the same time, too much baby fat. Asking him to focus a little more on defense is a waste of time I guess. NYK should be fun to watch from an outsider POV hehe.
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa america 2016 dicussion on: June 26, 2016, 09:19:22 PM
Usually Argentina do great in competitions and in the final they black out and lose. Happened 6 times since 1994

But now they just smashed everyone in their way since now(except Chile) and are more than favorite now, Chile barely could stand against a 10 players Colombia last game

Yeah I would be very surprised if they can't clinch this, Argentina hasn't won anything since that 1994 Copa America you mentioned, it's incredible. Plus Messi losing another final with Argentina will be devastating (and again Chile again...a team Argentinians mostly despise or undervalue). Not that this Copa America is that much important but the recent history of failures can create huge pressure.

We'll see if it's a good move or not depending if Durant leaves. If he leaves, the Thunder will have a hard time reaching the playoffs and that's assuming an MVP season effort from Westbrook. Ibaka's time on OKH was up I think, he provides good defense (to a certain degree) but that's it. Even Adams contributed more on offense.

I don't understand the trade from the Magic perspective really, I get they are trying to pair Ibaka and Vucevic together who could both complement each other (Ibaka more defensive minded). Both have a good perimeter offensive game too. But they are giving away a great young prospect in Oladipo and a promising rookie in Sabonis...just too much for Ibaka who is in total decline if you ask me.
