It depends what you define by ponzi or scams, many sites seem legit and then with time you learn that they were just growing a base to scam people. Even casino and exchanges have done this in Bitcoin world and I don't think campaigners should held responsible. Actual ponzi schemes or HYIP that are too obvious won't waste time with signature campaigns since they will be gone in less than a month.

My "plan" or goal is to just have 2.1 BTC (I don't think 21 BTC would be possible). I figure that if Bitcoin really takes off like many of us believe it could do one day, then 2.1 would be more than enough to "retire" if you think about it. There's just not enough for everyone if its actually needed. The other chance is to just become a novelty.
People arguing that it will never reach 5k or 10k, well, to me $500 is already crazy if you think about it, the nature of it makes it very valuable to just own 1 BTC

I will answer realistically and go straight to the point, I would be VERY surprised if you could make $1-2 per week. If you make that kind of money then it means you would have like 20 tabs opened in your browser all the time and remember when to claim from each. The best way would be using those faucets that pay big daily or semi-daily.

I've always wondered this myself. When I had some XMR I invested in their dice site for a week just to see how it works. Short term is very variable and you could lose money, plenty of it too. So the only option is long term, the problem here is that like many of you mentioned your money is exposed and this is Bitcoin land, a site is legit until it isn't. I would only try MoneyPot but no BTC site is immune to "hacks" or "ddos attacks"...

They are starting to actually win some games, they've been atrocious so far so I guess it was bound to happen. I'll check their upcoming schedule because they are definitely a great option if they are rolling, they have the players and coach to get a nice streak.

I have a similar feeling in times like this (f this is an actual P&D...) as I had when it was being dumped. I think this is a sign of me becoming an actual long term supporter of the project. Price fluctuation start to lose its effect on me. Hopefully I'm wrong about the pump though and this is just a natural consequence of Digusign and 2 year anniversary. Either way go Digibyte!

looks like today is good to bet parlay in NBA
Dallas @ Minnesota #Dallas -4.5pts @ 1.95 Boston @ Memphis #Moneyline Memphis @ 2.16 Milwaukee @ New York #New York -4.5pts @ 1.71 Charlotte @ Denver #Under 202.5pts @?
Good Luck!
Yeah those look very enticing, I would leave out the Charlotte@Denver game like ingiltere said, it's just a big risk and won't add much. I think the Knicks are playing great lately (almost beat San Antonio) and should have no problems against the bucks at home.

Other altcoins may rise in price however if Bitcoin start to get momentum I would say Litecoin will not do as well as it did in the past. If more common people and investors are interested in Bitcoin they won't pursue the "second's best". It may have worked in the past but I don't see it happening right now, Litecoin doesn't that much to offer compared to Bitcoin and it's merely an alternative in my eyes. Other coins may have better luck because of complete different technologies though.
Chances of Litecoin going up are better actually, mainly because of the problems bitcoin is dealing with; problems Litecoin does not face. Your logic is flawed. Problems like what really? The main problem Bitcoin has is user adoption and price volatility, the rest is technical mumbo jumbo if you will that no one cares about just like you don't think about how Paypal or CCs work. Bitcoin has the potential to change the world if it just find its niche and becomes more user friendly.

I've recently had to use Western Union for money sent to me from a close by country. It was $200 and the fee was around $4 or $5. I got the money in the local office, just a block away. Yes Bitcoin may be faster but if you compare the exact same service, Bitcoin would be more expensive. Bitcoin is far from being "cash in a window" like I said in many posts. That's what people need, they can't use BTC.
Bitcoin can act as a bridge in the transaction but the Western Union has to remain the same to work, you send fiat they receive fiat, that's it and that's why it will always be better unless Bitcoin can manage to provide the same but cheaper and faster. It can't.

Happy birthday Digibyte! Glad to see the team working and adding features! What's the equivalent of 2 years as an altcoin to humans? 1000 years? Digiman is like a blue robot Yoda!

The OP says it all, so no collateral no luck. I will be also be willing to give you the loan if you can put up your account, it's worth the risk like Erkallys said.

Hopefully Bitcoin is not declared illegal, banks do have a lot of power. Remember music labels fighting and crushing Napster? We all know digital currencies will survive eventually but let's just hope Bitcoin is not the first martyr.

I would get just 21 BTC and become part of the 1 million elite. That would more than enough if eventually Bitcoin gets to be a mainstream commodity or method of payment. I may buy more down the line but that would be my starting point.

Nuclear weapons are a hoax, the real weapon if there really is one is some kind of other technology like HAARP. All the world leaders are in bed with one another and the media lies about everything.
notbatman you are one f*cking hilarious dude, do you have twitter or any other social media accounts that I can follow?

When I started I used Moonbitcoin with Xapo and it was ok, in just a couple of days I've learned that it's a complete waste of time but either way you still can understand how payments work and start to get comfortable with confirmation times and decimals. I suggest you sign up for a signature campaign, there are a lot that accept low ranking members, even as a newbie you would make much more with 5% of the effort compared to faucets.

Depends on your goals. Either way if that's all you have you need to diversify I agree. Gold is always a good option and I understand your concept, I don't think it will ever happen but hey, if civilization crumbles to the point of no internet, then gold will most likely be your salvation. Just keep it close and not in a internet operated swiss vault hehe!

Think the time span is to short for that to happend 600 is more likely and the price level i think it reach.
Yes I agree and we may even see a small drop to around $400 before. If that happens then it's a clear signal to buy for everyone. If we can close the year even at $500-600 it will be a great sign of how Bitcoin appreciates year by year.

Easy of use should never be mentioned as an advantage of Bitcoin ever. Just try to explain any common non tech savvy person how to use decimals, wallets, authorization keys, brain wallets, non refundable options, "forget your password and lose all your money" and many more. It may be easy for us since we are a bunch of nerds of course but that's actually one of the bigger barriers in adoption.
