2101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the price dropping? on: January 25, 2016, 09:56:12 PM
I'll say it once more...
Broken fundamentals and stagnated development.

Broken fundamentals aren't bad if there are people willing to resolve it.
Right now that last part is totally missing within the whole of the bit coin community.

Sure, go ahead and tell everyone it will be fixed when it needs to be. I've debunked that argument over and over. The time to fix what's broken with bitcoin is yesterday rather than today or tomorrow.

What are these broken fundamentals and stagnated development you talk about? Really many of us don't understand all this mumbo jumbo. The only thing I see that Bitcoin hasn't done in all of its years of existence is to create an actual demand for it to be used. On top of that, usability is not its strongest point either...

How can you convince anyone to actual buy Bitcoin? Why? What for? Really that's the main issue, why the average Joe needs it?
2102  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: DirectBet Basketball Prediction Game *** Win Free Bets ! *** Free to Enter ! on: January 25, 2016, 09:37:59 PM
San Antonio Spurs 98 @ 91 Golden State Warriors
2103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Sport To Gamble on: January 25, 2016, 08:13:33 PM
I prefer to bet on NBA because I follow the league daily and have deep knowledge of it. I also think basketball is the most predictable sport compared to Football (soccer) where there can be great upsets, a second division team can actually hold a draw by just defending and winning on penalties if that's the case. Plus there's 3 results and that's complicate things. In basketball you can't hide or just play defense, you need to do both and usually the best team wins. Of course it's not as easy asI claim but you get the idea.
2104  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Casino Game Reviews, Please Help on: January 25, 2016, 07:50:51 PM
Not sure if it was mentioned but you could add LuckyBTCcasino in my signature. As for important features to display or review, in my opinion if the casino or site offers on the fly bet (no registration needed) that's awesome. Also you could discriminate which ones offer deposits in other coins like Doge, Litecoin, etc since many people prefer that or have some loose change that want to bet before exchanging it for BTC.
2105  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: January 25, 2016, 07:40:31 PM
We really don't know of course, this should be in speculation hehe. But yes the miners will be getting much less, however as others have said if the price increases (I'm not sure that would be the case, for that to happen there should a lot of demand) then the miners will be getting more fiat money out of their BTC.

I think for Bitcoin to grow is much more important to focus on its problems, the Halving is just something that can affect it temporary but the deep down what Bitcoin needs is having an actual demand from the mainstream.
2106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 140k Tesla bought with Bitcoin 2 days ago on: January 25, 2016, 07:35:42 PM
These are the news that sadly bypass the mainstream media. If you see it's all negative press, the common person when it thinks of Bitcoin is just confused or relate it to something negative, either illegal drugs, terrorism, hackers, cyber heists, scams, etc. I can sort of understand it since that's all they usually get, hopefully things like this happen more frenquently and get properly covered.
2107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the price dropping? on: January 25, 2016, 07:29:15 PM
I think this will be the lowest point of the year, and we can even continue for a couple more months even. Then the price will start to rise, we'll definitely close the year around $500-600 if not more. Every year seems the same with Bitcoin, there are a lot of pumps, dumps and bumps hehe but at the end Bitcoin always grow compared the previous year, that's all we need to know. Just buy when you feel you have a good window and hold, Bitcoin it's still only a long term investment.
2108  Economy / Speculation / Re: You guys need to relax on: January 25, 2016, 07:26:22 PM
Lol, OP speaks the truth, well at least I'm on the same page really. Bought back some months ago at $230 and I'm just holding and growing my share. I don't really care about price fluctuations. Bitcoin has grown every year, but there were always a lot of bumps along the road. So unless you are very good at trading (which in Bitcoin I don't think it's really possible, there are no rules) you should just hold and buy when you see an opportunity.
2109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal is growing faster than Bitcoin on: January 25, 2016, 06:34:18 PM
Hopefully with the signing of Wences Casares from Xapo to Paypal's board we could see a perfect integration of both Paypal and Bitcoin in the near future. This will open the door for an amazing grow, imagine how easy would be to obtain Bitcoin, and even sell it. All eBay products would be at hand and many more stores will follow since that will give a lot of legitimacy to BTC.
2110  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: DirectBet Basketball Prediction Game *** Win Free Bets ! *** Free to Enter ! on: January 25, 2016, 05:59:33 PM
There's definitely no better game for tonight than to predict San Antonio Spurs @ Golden State Warriors so hopefully that's the one. Also I strongly suggest the rules are changed for Basketball, it's way too hard to even predict one team final score, let alone two of them at the same time. There should be a margin, not too big of course but just coming close by 1-2-3 points is having amazing luck or knowledge.
2111  Economy / Economics / Re: Everyone is sick and tired of Central gov printing a new round of Fiat each week on: January 25, 2016, 05:57:01 PM
WTF. The world keeps going, there will be another world crisis like in 2007-2008. There are economic crisis every 5-10 years everywhere, it's how it is. People start protesting then they go back to work because they have families and friends and that's it, that's how it all work. We also don't like war lately, we resolve all problems diplomatically even if we hate each other. Not sure if that's for the better but that's how it is.

So there will be no WW3. What could happen in the next 5 or 10 years is that Bitcoin could really emerge as a real secondary option to fiat currencies. It already did somewhat but we're still light years away of mainstream adoption.
2112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 25, 2016, 05:47:05 PM
Here are my picks for the day, as usual I'm trying to find each night upsets. You've been warned hehe!

Houston Rockets @ New Orleans Pelicans - Houston Rockets @ 2.44
This to me is a no brainer, Houston is picking up, Harden comes fresh of a triple-double and they got Josh Smith back. They are still no western conference champions but those are great odds against the mediocre Pelicans.

San Antonio Spurs @ Golden State Warriors - San Antonio Spurs @ 2.76
Yes the GSW is the easy bet but the Warriors already escaped plenty of close games at home with very mediocre teams like the Nets or the Nuggets. Tonight's the night they finally lose at home.

I recommend doing a parlay for these two if you are feeling confident @ 6.73

BONUS
Minnesota Timberwolves @ Cleveland Cavaliers - Minnesota Timberwolves @ 10
I don't think the Wolves will actually win this one, but the Cavs were so embarrassing against the Bulls on top of the many internal problems and trade rumours that backing up the Wolves @10 doesn't feel wrong to me. Wiggins always plays well agains the Cavs too, so perhaps you can also find a player pick option.
2113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Terrorists use Western Union, not Bitcoin on: January 25, 2016, 03:22:42 PM
They use any means possible to send/receive money, if governments really want to stop terrorists they need to focus less on how and where are they getting their funds but more on where are they buying guns and explosives from.

And they might use more Bitcoins in future as lot of their cash stored in a bank was destroyed recently by US air-strike:
Citing unnamed US defense officials, CNN reported that the building was destroyed by two 2,000 pound bombs. The officials could not say exactly how much money was held at the bank or in what currency the funds were denominated, but one described it as "millions," CNN said.

Exactly, sadly Bitcoin has received a lot of negative image that doesn't really deserve. However we should be fair and say that Bitcoin is also the preferred method for many illegal activities and sadly a lot of headlines are based on scandals, hacks, scams, exchanges running with the money, drug trafficking, etc.
2114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are in Bitcoin Heaven on: January 25, 2016, 03:20:19 PM
I think there is still a long road to go but in the end Bitcoin will get there where it deserves, as mainstream adopted electronic currency.
Yes we can strongly believe in the increase adoption of bitcoin in near future. But people are still getting feared to invest and use bitcoin due to price volatility.

Volatility it's not really the only issue, entrepreneurs and companies that work Bitcoin had been trying for years to make ir more easy to use and understand, but if you ask the regular bitcoiner it's all fine and easy as pie. The real problem that common people face when getting into Bitcoin is how complicated it is. Xapo has been trying to make it as a simple as possible and for me it's still pretty complicated for my family or friends to actually use.

Then there's the problem of why? Why do they have to use it other than investing?
2115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A message from a complete bitcoin newbie, a regular, saying hello bitcoin word! on: January 25, 2016, 12:12:15 AM
Thanks for your post, I'm relatively new to Bitcoin myself since I've discovered last year but I agree with many of your feelings and thoughts. Bitcoin it's still very much in its infancy, like the internet was in the 90s, something people talk about but they really don't understand. However there's still a long way for it to go mainstream, adoption is not as easy for common people and let's face it you can't really do much with it. Remember when we all started using the internet, there was a couple of porn images and websites and that's it. But eventually things started to pick up, amazing services like Wikipedia, Google, Amazon and so on were created. No reputable business cared or saw the potential of the internet.

Bitcoin still is in the dark, mainly because the world is ruled by a different economic system, but if a new financial crisis arrive be sure Bitcoin will gain much more traction. Remember it was conceived in the wake of the last financial bubble so I'm sure at every collapse of the current system Bitcoin will grow and evolve. Welcome to the forum!
2116  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Excellent doubler .. Repeatedly tested by me personally. on: January 25, 2016, 12:04:31 AM
Lol, it's like a bad joke. I really can't understand how these type of scams still works but specially among Bitcoin tech savvy people, it just baffles me. Usually you can see right through the BS in some sites that appear legit and give what it appears doable returns even if they are a little exaggerated, but this one? Really? 150% in 24 hours? People spreading this should get bad reputation automatically.
2117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I made the effort to call PayPal and ask about BItcoin - CRYPTO NOT ALLOWED on: January 24, 2016, 10:39:30 PM
Well I can understand that Bitcoin is a very grey area so they are not ready to implement that yet (hopefully this starts to change after Wences Casares from Xapo starts working after being named to Paypal's board). However I find it really unfair to suspend or ban accounts just for buying Bitcoin. I've actually done this myself once but nothing happened luckily. A warning email about the dangers of it would be more than enough.

It's not only bitcoin though, from what I understand, it's any type of currency exchanges.

Yes, something similar happened for years, I would say decades and it was the relationship between Paypal and gambling/casino sites. I'm sure many got banned for using it or for offering Paypal deposits in their sits. But they silently started to accept it not so long ago so maybe the time is coming for them to adopt Bitcoin, and as I mentioned earlier, the hiring of Casares is a clear sign something is brewing.

2118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the Chinese pumpers pump BTC up again in the next 30 days? on: January 24, 2016, 10:34:31 PM
I can't really predict this because nobody knows what they will do, however we are only just a couple of negative statements away from a true Bitcoin crisis. Many companies are leaving and selling their BTC investments and that's the reality. Hopefully the storm will pass and Bitcoin will be able to survive as it usually does, but the next weeks/months will be hard and turbulent.

I don't see as much companies leaving bitcoin or selling honestly.
Thinks are like normal, the high volume is logic when there is much fluctuation.

You don't see them because it's implied in some news or statements but I know for a fact that there are plenty of companies and starups trying to move away from Bitcoin in the recent weeks, it's sad but true. This doesn't mean Bitcoin will die or anything but I'm afraid it has become too tainted with negative headlines every week and many scandals under its belt.
2119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are in Bitcoin Heaven on: January 24, 2016, 10:18:21 PM
I still think Bitcoin will soar in the next worlwide crisis that many predict is not so far away, so you may be onto something. However too much negative image about Bitcoin has been generated, for the mainstream Bitcoin is definitely a bad word and I feel that could be the end of it eventually. And even if Bitcoin itself it's not bad, there have been hundreds of heist, hacks, scams, exchanges disappearing, ilegal business, the Silk Road fiasco, etc that one sort of understand how someone who doesn't know much about Bitcoin could have a negative image of it.
2120  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold my alts, all in BTC on: January 24, 2016, 10:14:19 PM
No altcoin project that worth a damn will be out there for anybody to get a hold of it. This only worked for Bitcoin, the rest are all clones of it more or less with some improvements and changes of course but they won't ever take off. If a huge company needs to implement a crypto currency or system, do you think they will adopt an altcoin? They won't even touch Bitcoin, they would just use the blockchain or underlaying technology.

Altcoins creators are just building their resume and learning (the rest are downright scamming people). So my advise is to stay away from the altcoin community, it's all marketing and pump&dumps. Sooner or later you will be just holding a bag of nothing.
