I've been in touch with Scott and have made plans to visit him early this upcoming week - he's actually way closer to me than I originally thought.

I look forward to meeting Scott and checking out what he and Halong are all about!

As a disclaimer, I don't have any skin in this with Halong - I don't have any preorders with them nor have I been promised/offered anything at all. I've not known of Scott prior to this thread. I'm visiting Scott because of how close he is to me and my interest in the mining field. I've been mostly exclusive with Bitmain in my mining needs in the last few years.

Why has your account been inactive since 2015?

Holy shiat, u are right. Dimaze account is inactive since 2015. His next 3 posts after that are all in the halongmining thread....... and he is going to meet scott? U think this is a bought account?
Also, their local times are 6 hours apart. How is that possible if they live near each other??? I think can only be believable if a few reputable members visit scott??

Scott - I've reached out to you via text from my local number. I'm about 25 minutes from you and would love to meet up with you.

I've preordered tons of miners in the past -- from the first Avalon batch, theKNC Jupiters, to the most recent batches of S9s. Would love to see what Halong has in store!

Slow down turbo!  Did you not see the part where he signed a message from an old addy?  I didn't check when the addy was posted but if its one from before he went inactive, then there is no reason to think it's not the original owner.  I also didn't verify the message, mostly because I don't really care but someone could check those two things if they cared.

Edit:  On top of that he said hes going for himself, not for the forum.  We already know he wont be able to provide enough HARD evidence.  So it's kinda meh anyways...
1302  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: January 07, 2018, 01:48:01 PM

I was new to Bitcoin, I thought I was ordering computer hardware. I'd never had any issues with pre-orders before that.

Keep in mind that if I knew that outer space was a hoax and rockets didn't really launch satellites into orbit around a globe, I would never have ordered from a company and its product named after just that; I would have known it was a scam.

But you were not just buying computer hardware you were pre-ordering undeveloped money printing machines.  Of course you knew that since they said it was under development and you had illusions of 30 bitcoins mined up in your wallet.

The fact that you were new and went ahead and invested too much money without knowing the risks makes you a stupid cunt!

The fact you believe in a global conspiracy over several centuries makes you a stupid cunt!

The fact that you are an angry stupid homophobic religious zealot makes you a stupid cunt!

Facts add up, you're a stupid cunt!

Hey stupid how's your Black Arrow orders coming along LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL  Still holding on to that one eh!!!!!!  Such a loser to get scammed by such a shitty scamming outfit!!!!  No wonder he believes in the flat earth, he was stupid enough to believe in Black Arrow!!!

Wait a minute,  didn't you make an order too, or was that BFL? Hypocrit much?

Now there you go lying again, I've been preaching about the flaws from a consumer pov of pre-orders since 2103.  I don't personally give out interest free loans to complete strangers on the internet.

But someone like you is stupid enough to fall for one of the shittiest scams ever in BTC mining history!!!

I've been GPU mining since 2014 moron, I buy my mining equipment off the shelf not from some internet scammers months in advance...

Face it your low IQ allows you to believe stuff like flat earth, Black Arrow scams, god and keeps you at your minimum wage shitty fucking job.

HAHAHA you're a fucking moron!
1304  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 06, 2018, 10:38:15 PM

I understand what you're saying, but these are not deli products, these are money making machines. You can spit in the face of your customers and they will still line up to buy. If at some point supply and demand get to a reasonable equilibrium, and there are enough competitors, then they would need to figure something out. They can come up with "customer care" bullshit later if they need to, people have short memory.

The problem is that this attitude is extremely short sighted...  Believe it or not this FOMO and mining market could change overnight.  Being antagonistic to any potential or future potential client has exactly 0 upside or value while it does create some risk of alienating future clients if market conditions suddenly change.
1305  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 06, 2018, 03:54:22 PM
@Flying Hellfish
The cost of providing a demo unit for a trusted forum member is so so so small, if the member pays for the miner, that I see zero reasons why not to do it?  Huh

The first reason not to would be if it wasn't real.  But assume it is for this discussion.

IF its real...

As I mentioned the reviews will be here eventually.

To me mining is now an enterprise level market.  My background is enterprise level account management in a manufacture/distribution market.  Honestly companies spending millions on product development should be focusing on enterprise clients and distribution centric business models.  Let the disty's mass market for retail sales and focus on manufacturing and selling to big shooters.  There is a reason most large manufactures sell to disty only and it's simple, greater profit.

@Phil You're right the market conditions will not last forever. I mean did everyone just forget that mining was designed as a near zero sum game and is ALWAYS working towards that goal??  And I agree this was a PR shit show, it really did remind me of Inaba LOL which says a lot when I think about 2 weeks from now!!!!!!!!  Pissing on anyone as a company rep is stupid, really stupid.  Add to it what looks an awful lot like sock puppets and to me your concerns are justified, its a solid no go for me.

I don't pre-order mining hardware, I think giving anyone an interest free loan is kinda silly.  Sticking to GPU's I can buy off the shelf thanks!
1306  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 06, 2018, 03:01:21 PM
Halong does not need help with advertising. I personally appreciate your commitment to this community and to your history of making reviews for the public, however, Halong does not need the positive PR. Like I said, if I had it my way, I would send every 4.5-5 user on this entire forum a unit to test for free. But, it’s not my call to make.

Demand is not an infinite curve.  It's almost laughable to think that Halong is going to beat Bitmain in hash and power consumption with their first product to market; unless there is stolen IP inside the box.

There's one of two reasons to do preorders.  1.  Either they need the funding, which you deny.  or 2.  Lock in customers in case of an emergency (such as a competing product from competitor).

Or both.

The bigger reason to lock down the coins ASAP is to hedge against coin price shitting the bed and or diff skyrocketing.
1307  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 06, 2018, 02:56:59 PM
I agree you on that Phil.

They don't give appreciation and value for the review made by one of us.

It's basicly free advertising in the case we pay for the miner.

The money they would earn by showing up the miner would be a greater amount
than the money they think they save by hiding it in the closet.

The real problem is the difference between perceived value of the reviews.

With current market conditions if it was my call to make personally I probably wouldn't bother doing specific BTCTALK reviews either.

No offence intended guys honestly but here would be my reasoning.

1)  There are much more effective ways to reach MORE people by providing verifiable proof through other outlets.
2)  Once sufficiently verified the majority of forum members would accept it as real and discussion of technical merit, quality, logistics etc can be discussed.  Once in the wild the reviews will get here so they will get them.

Now IMO halong made a couple mistakes.  The biggest being that there rep gives off the impression that they assume that the current EXTREMELY rare current market conditions will last forever!

Second was letting someone represent their company that can't control their emotions publicly.  It looks terrible on a company.

Third was releasing information too soon. IF they have the best in class gear and enough cap to make the gear they should have waited until they were allowed to prove it.  Imagine the communities response to such a company as well as the LONG term legacy type PR a company could garner at that point!

Now imagine if this thing exists and they actually manage to piss in Bitmains Cornflakes???

NotFuzzyWarm, I'm not sure I understand the basis of your claim. Why do you feel the need to say shit like that? You can't claim it's a scam without proof. Maybe it's different in your country, but in mine it's "innocent until proven guilty". You have no proof that Halong is a scam. You have unsatisfactory answers to your questions. That's about all.

This post is in the "Mining Speculation" sub-forum. If you'd like to start a new thread called "Confirmed Scam", go ahead, but no one is going to listen to you and you'll just embarrass yourself further. I understand some of you "professional, unbiased reviewers" in this forum feel entitled and worthy of receiving a free unit to test for yourselves, but honestly, real mining equipment manufacturers don't need reviews. The equipment will sell and the results will be shown.

So, go ahead and cry wolf, NotFuzzyWarm. You're only digging yourself a deeper hole and will become less trusted in the community with assumptions.

***  Halongmining Dragonmint miner is a SCAM! If someone buys their miners without any well-known and trusted Forum Users 1st getting one for doing a review and posting it here then well, you have been warned ***

Oh lord, you sound EXACTLY like Josh Z (less angry!)

#2 weeks, @BFL 2.0

As for the bolded, this isn't a court of law LDO...  Having seen as many scams as we have no wonder it's "You will run into a lot of skepticism until you provide proof".

You're right about 1 thing you definitely don't need the forum for sales right now, but neither did BFL, AMT, Bitmine, Black Arrow, Cointerra, Hashfast ETC ETC ETC.  Wink

Bitmain killer that is some funny shit!  Careful though bud you may actually catch Bitmains attention and honestly that might not go as well as you hope!  Wink

I am gobsmacked that in 2018, seriously, we need to debate whether the Earth is flat or not.

It has been proven that it is round CENTURIES ago. Gravity itself requires a spherical shape, we know nowadays that we have two EMISPEHERES (hence, round shape) where season are INVERTED because of the tilt of the axis. A complete opposite of seasons can ONLY happen with a spherical shape.

Seriously, I find it pathetic that someone dares to subvert scientific proof based on universal laws of physics that have been established CENTURIES ago.

If this thread boggles your mind take a look at the almost 500 pages of unbelievable horse shit here!  It'll really make your head explode from pain!

Your opinion “Curiosity, pushing boundaries, exploring and innovation defines our species” is so true and genuine that I feel like saying “Inquisitiveness to know the unknown and venturing beyond the boundaries has always defined us”. This has yet again been proven by Elon Musk. Whether or not we will be able to colonize and terraform Mars still a question for the future to answer. However, it is still fascinating to think that our fictions are about to be facts in the very near future. This man has encountered too many failures, yet had the indomitable courage to fight against it and win the war. He will always stand as an example and an inspiration to all of us.

Well said!

Elon has secured a place in the history books already.  But is he somewhere in the back chapters or is he on front page.  If he makes us a multiplanet species it will forever change humanity as we know it and almost every person will know his name for a very very long time!
1313  Other / Off-topic / Re: Elon Musk and Mars on: December 30, 2017, 10:28:25 PM
I think we can colonize Mars in 50 years

It depends what you mean by colonize.

Also, another thing that no one thought about - what if Elon Musk decides to claim Mars for himself? He's the first there, to set a foot there on land, he has the right. What then?

Nah he doesn't have the right!  He can't claim it for himself!  After Sputnik1 was launched the world knew it needed some international space laws.  Over 100 countries have signed the Outer Space Treaty.  A main clause in the treaty is non appropriation of space.  No one gets to claim anything in outer space as their own.  Everything will remain public domain if the treaty is adhered to.  The worlds governments would seize his assets, arrest him and take over Space X and all the trips to MARS if he tried to claim it for himself!

What I do think is that we badly need to update "space law" quickly because a few countries are working on Lunar base projects as well as manned missions to Mars.

Nasa's timeline for manned missions to Mars is 2040.  Space X timeline is late 2020's, its happening and a lot of us alive right now will be around when it happens.

It is awe inspiring to me, what an incredible time to be a part of!
1314  Other / Off-topic / Elon Musk and Mars on: December 30, 2017, 05:45:26 PM
Elon has detailed his plan for Mars colonization.

Colonizing and even Terraforming Mars is no longer science fiction.  We have the technology to do it now.  The real question is should we?

Humans will go to Mars eventually the first people ever to step on a planet that isn't earth are already born!

Exploration is at the heart of humanity.  Humans push the boundaries of almost everything, space and colonizing another planet seems like a logical next step, right?

Do we really have the right to disturb another planets ecosystem?  Yes Mars is a frozen desert like planet but millions maybe billions of years ago it likely had a much stronger atmosphere and running water and just maybe "life".  The planet core cooled (as Mars is less than half the size of earth) and the water evaporated and froze.  It can easily be argued that this is just the natural planetary evolution of mars within our solar system in our galaxy in our universe. We don't know what will happen to Mars in the next several billion years as our sun whines down it's own "life".  Since we can't know for sure whats to happen perhaps we shouldn't fuck with it and let it evolve on its own?

On the other hand it can be argued that according to our current understanding the sun will swallow us in a few billion years, why not then become a multi planet species and build a second ecosystem to study, learn from and compare to our own?  This may just be the building blocks that help humanity outlive our sun!!!  It could even be argued that humans colonizing Mars is part of Mars' natural planetary evolution anyways.  As soon as humans evolved it was inevitable that the closest inhabitable planet would be colonized eventually.

I personally say GO ELON GO! Get us to Mars and colonize that motherfucker!!!  Curiosity, pushing boundaries, exploring and innovation defines our species. Bottling that up won't work so Mars here we come!

Is thing still going on? Why not get a rocket model, a gopro and launch it, see how it looks from high above. Better even - ask Elon Musk - his company went to space - is he part of the conspiracy as well.?

According to the fruit loops here yes. Every single government, every single space agency, every single person in the airline and shipping industry have been covering up the flat earth for centuries.

Sounds kinda ridiculous when you write it out, unless you're retarded or mentally ill!

Wait, wait, wait! Has anyone ever found the edge of the earth? Because if so I'd like to go there and spit - see how far down that loogie goes.

Again according to the fruit loops here there is some kind of MASSIVE imaginary military group guarding the entire ice shelf surrounding the flat earth.  Apparently going near it will get you killed immediately or some stupid bullshit like that LOLOLOLOL.

Dude they literally have the most crazy answers to common questions.

Go ahead ask them how a modern jet flies from Santiago Chile To Sydney Australia on a flat earth.  SA and AUS are literally on the opposite side of the flat earth map and NO commercial plane in existence today can make such a trip in a direct flight.  Oddly enough in the real world that direct flight is made several times a week because, wait for it, they fly around the south pole (not directly but you get the point).

Generally the answer will be the airlines are lying to us about something (they can never pin point what).  Or they somehow magically fly outside the ice ring and appear back on the other side somehow (like its a globe or some shit LOLOLOL).  Utterly ridiculous nonsense.

Crazy unbelievable made up stupidity is all they have, it's quite amusing really!

4. All scientific theories are only theories, because anybody could make multiple scientific theories to contradict any scientific theory. Facts don't contradict facts. This means that scientific theories are not facts, no matter how many facts are stated to support the scientific theory. Only connivers try to convince people that scientific theories are facts.

Cool

Wrong, All Scientific theories are only Scientific theories.  Not surprisingly you have 0 understanding of what it takes for a hypothesis to actually become a scientific theory.

Quote

No anyone can not make up a scientific theory to contradict any scientific theory.  Anyone can certainly make a hypothesis for anything they want, but if it doesn't meet the strict requirements it will never become a scientific theory.  And all of your hypothesis' are not scientific theories in any way, shape or form (beyond your imagination).

You don't even have a basic understanding of the terminology used in the scientific community.  Yet you run around these forums polluting it with utter nonsense, garbage and made up bullshit using incorrect terminology to try to fit your delusions.

BTW every single stupid hypothesis you've thrown out has been tried many times before your not bringing anything new to the table...  The scientific community has long since moved off your terrible hypothesis in favor of actual scientific theories so they are not wasting their time!

TLDR: BADecker lies, makes shit up and uses hypothesis from decades ago that have been discarded even by the vast majority of his brethren!

Notbatman does the same thing except BADecker is an over achiever in the stupid department!

101 Proofs For God

A growing list of common sense Proofs for God.

Proof for God, #65 Mitochondrial Eve and Y-Chromosome Adam

Genetic scientists seem to be in general agreement that we are all descendants of one woman and one man. This research was fairly recent, starting about 1978. They, of course, do not believe in the creation story of Adam and Eve in the Bible, but their conclusions are getting closer and closer.

In case you have not heard about this, it makes very interesting reading. But I think it raises a number of profound challenges to the Theory of Evolution.

The scientists base the above conclusions on the known facts of human reproduction, specifically on properties of the sperm and egg. .....

...price stays the same(1650ish) more-less

...and the best thing trusted people from forum do the review

I can tell you this for sure... the price will be lower per TH than others currently on the market. And, reviews will be coming soon (not necessarily by power-users in this forum, but reviews are coming). I did request that a few units get sent to the main complainers of this thread, but it's not possible at this time.

Still making promises, you didn't learn the first time did you  Wink

You really should just politely go dark till you have something bro!  Instead of making more promises hehe.

A pre-launch campaign with no proof from a new player around here overwhelmingly means scam, as you can see.

When you can launch the product properly come back with proof, sell out, profit, simple as that.  Enjoy the crazy market conditions of present and don't over complicate things man.

Thank you. What I see a lot around this forum is advertisement of services like one that you have under each message, I will definitely wright about this significant detail, but still I can't find the proper way of interpretation. All this casinos, free coins, lotteries, etc. are like huge machine of desire, something very similar to mythology of Las Vegas - accessible easy money. Things like this must work only in pair with context of wealth, that is not possible anymore outside BTC cause of disillusionment, tiredness and financial crisis in the world. Am I right?

It took me a really long time to start to understand this place too.  This is a Libertarian site largely.  Satoshi didn't trust the gov/system, neither do Libertarians it was a natural fit.  It can be argued that without the support of the Libertarian community at the very beginning BTC would have died.  The Libertarians are still here in decent numbers.

Now fast forward several years and BTC starts to come out of the Libertarian community as word spreads.
Joe or Jane six pack hears about all the things like the economic turmoil globally, bail outs, Governments running out of money.  They see with their own eyes the financial raping with fees and such.  Add to that the traditional financial sector is sooooo complicated and riddled with fees that Joe and Jane can't even begin to understand it, so pay and trust someone else to do it for you, more fees!  It's not hard now to see why their trust in traditional systems starts to erode.

Joe and Jane hear about this trustless, low fee alternative that has been preforming insanely and they are intrigued!  Some invest, some don't. My investment adviser has long told me about diversification, so for me diversifying outside the traditional financial sector made a lot of sense.  In 2013 my adviser called me a fool for looking at "this internet ponzi scheme" LOL.  I am happy I didn't listen to him, he is no longer my adviser!

Do we/have we hit the point of inertia yet where it just goes on its own like a beautiful celestial body no one controls, dunno, only time will tell.  Strap in for the ride with us and we will find out!

Good Luck,
FH
