“Three great forces rule the world: stupidity, fear and greed.”

If everyone thinks it will be the same as the last period it will. Why? because people are all anticipating the same, placing the same trades and thus making the market react accordingly. Since we have many inexperienced traders I do believe we will go to the moon again.

It feels like a month or two ago... 365 days ... I'm getting old fast

I find this a too steep climb. Looks like the people dumping are buying back with profit. Looks like it will soon correct again and then stabilize.

This is a smart insight and shows that Bitcoin is still a good investment…

I believe we will enter a sideways market for a while. Hopefully not two years of sideways... I would buy little bits of Bitcoin at regular intervals until the market starts going up again. There is no reason to go in gung-ho style.
Even if Bitcoin goes down for a while you will have a great average value on your Bitcoin. You will quickly gain profit when Bitcoin starts increasing.
The major question is "Do you believe in Bitcoin?"

Those charts show how so far Bitcoin is from its "mining death spiral" that nocoiners have been talking about, and maybe secretly hoping for, in social media. Here's another one. Death spiral? It's definitely not a "death spiral"....that's true for mining in particular, since the drop in hash rate hasn't even caught up to the drop in price. Still, breaking the long term log trend suggests more pain to come. And after that comes the long, boring sideways where it'll constantly feel like the floor is about to be pulled out from underneath the market. There are some tough times ahead for hodlers. As a HODLer I will feel relief in a sideways movement. This is an indicator that the bull market is on it's way. Just a waiting game.... Also the chart shows that we can expect sideways now...

Many people are predicting the price of Bitcoin will go below 3000$ but nobody has any clue about it. But still, there are many who has very huge expectation in Bitcoin price. By next year we might see the price of Bitcoin will easily cross more than 6000$.
We do know that it is getting harder and harder for the bears to push down the price. As long as the fundamentals don't change I feel that under $3k will trigger hard pushbacks. Under $3k is a good buying oppurtunity that many will jump at, including myself.

I fail to understand that people look at "experts" for advice on something as new and groundbreaking as Bitcoin.
|

Currently some whale is trying to push down Bitcoin to below $3k. Let's see if the last weak hands have been shaken out.

Humans see patterns and want a reason for everything. America is not the center of the world.
I do not see any relation between the two. It's not like they go trade Bitcoin to finance the government or something.

SO HOW ARE ALL THE NINCOMPOOPS TODAY??? STILL ACCUMULATING THE GARBAGE???
Writing big letters doesn't make your point more valid!!

Not sure where tulips or Zimbabwean dollars stand in terms of asset class, but the former did crash to no value overnight, the latter kept crashing day after day, in many order of magnitudes of value, so yeah, we've seen precedent. Not that Bitcoin could ever be compared to tulips or Zim dollars, but oh wait, Google tells me they already have been, by very famous people Besides, if Bitcoin were to see that spectacular crash, why would it stop at $1? Why not parity with zero? 1. Being famous does not make you an expert. 2. Zim dollar hyperinflation was due to the acts of the government. Bitcoin is not centralized. 3. Tulips was due to an over inflated price for a luxury product. Bitcoin could be like Tulips but we have already survived too long. As long as people trust in Bitcoin it will not die.

One person can start a pump & dump project and recruit followers. Then if you all dump together at a specific date the price will go down. With enough resources the market will follow suit and start dumping. Then buy back in after a specific moment and wait for the recovery due to the buy-back. All will profit at the expense of others.
So yes 1 person can but not on his own unless holding >1000 BTC to play with.

Truth as life itself.
when low
8K: "Will buy at $6K" $6K: "Will buy at $3K" $3K: "Will buy at $1.5K"
when up
$6K: "Will buy at $3K" $8K: "Will buy at $6K" $14K: "Will buy at $8K" $20K: "Will buy at $14K"
This is so true LOL!!!

as long as btc holders hold on to it, there is still hope. if only coins owners keep the faith, then it will soon recover.
True! You can only buy if someone is willing to sell at that price. HODL or Buy will make Bitcoin more scarse. Trust in bitcoin will ultimately reflect in the Bitcoin price.
