1321  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Give me some ideas! on: September 18, 2015, 09:30:37 PM
I will thank the OP for one important thing concerning this thread, he have made it possible to have some money making ideas compile together in one thread and this could be used by anybody even you.

Yeah, but I'm afraid that only the people who just know how to code very well (unlike me) can make any money off of these ideas.. *sigh* , guess it will be nice to see some of these ideas come to life though Tongue
1322  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-09-18] Negative interest rates could be necessary to protect UK economy on: September 18, 2015, 09:25:57 PM
The article has little to do with Bitcoin except for this mention:

Quote
It would be possible to get around the problem of hoarding by abolishing cash, Mr Haldane said, adding: "What I think is now reasonably clear is that the payment technology embodied in [digital currency] Bitcoin has real potential."

Any press for bitcoin is good press, imo.  I think this movement for blockchain technology over in that area of the world is taking a movement, because of the whole Barclays potential adoption of the blockchain for banking transactions.
1323  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Set To Be A ‘Global Currency’ In Australia on: September 18, 2015, 09:21:25 PM
Imo, I believe that in the long run of bitcoin's adoption as an actual world currency... there has to be some small amount of taxation.  That doesn't mean necessarily that it's a bad thing though. If you think about it, taxation is good for your country to fund publicly used things such as roads, schools, etc.  Now we have to think, why does taxation have such a bad stigma about it now and days?

Is it because:
1) The government takes too much/too little to help fund these things?
2) That taxation always gets skewed due to new presidents/elected officials with different political  ideologies coming in and influencing different tax codes?
3) That we as citizens can't exactly see how every dollar/pound/etc. is spent, and don't exactly trust how our government uses our collected money?

Personally I think it has to do with the latter, but it could be a combination of everything.  If we had a system (like the blockchain) that can ensure everyone, and prove in an instant where those funds are going to... wouldn't we feel a little better about our bitcoins being taxed? I would... but again, just my own opinion.
1324  Economy / Services / Re: H-Dev! Hire a game developer for BTC! on: September 17, 2015, 06:27:39 PM
I would suggest getting an escrow on board to make potential investors feel more secure about hiring you. Especially if you don't have that much on your portfolio to show case.
1325  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Give me some ideas! on: September 17, 2015, 05:29:38 PM
Hi
If you think ideas are free! some people think ideas are not worth anymore when they are just ideas! so please put some bitcoin project ideas there!
lets discuss

I've always thought this would be good for bitcoin's/the blockchains reputation to go up (just like how banks are currently trying to incorporate blockchain technology in their transactions).  I say let's try to create a system that hospitals and doctors can use to transfer medical records from physicians to physician by using block chain technology.  This way, patients may feel more secure about their medical records being kept very safe... maybe even have their medical records not "on file" any more but in cold storage, then whenever the patient needs to have their medical records transferred to another physician, it can be pulled out of the cold storage and transferred via the block chain network...

Maybe? Cheesy

How'd you go about earning your BTC? I mean I know of the typical ways of earning btc and all, but I mean, are you a programmer/graphic designer, sell a lot of your possessions, mine them from early on?  Just curious, because now and days it's pretty hard to earn that much any kind of way, especially with the mining costs of today.
1327  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: HonestDoubler.com - 100% IN 100 HOURS - 15% REF, MANY LEGIT PAYOUTS!! on: September 16, 2015, 03:12:56 PM
I think it would benefit the site if the giveaways require a minimum of atleast .005 to get in the giveaways...
Also I think it would be cool/beneficial to have a tally market up at the top which tells how much btc is collected at that moment... Not the amount totally invested. This will give more of a strategy effect in when to invest, and will calm users down when it gets close to payout time, since they can add all the amounts needed to be paid out before it gets to them.

I don't know, possible ways to make the site a little better imo... Love the fact that this thing has been going on for so long, hope it keeps going. Been a long time since I've really had faith in a Ponzi, might come bite me in the ass though, so I'll be careful when gambling here.

It would be unethical to give you any advice on this matter, because the advice would be :

1. Illegal {No method to evade tax can be legal}
2. Harmful to the Bitcoin community. {We would give governments and competitor shills ammunition to fight against us}

Go to some Bitcoin meetup's and you would see a vibrant community trying to build a better future for Bitcoin... not creating loopholes for criminals and tax evaders.

IT was once law the scottish had to let their wives be taken by a british royal for a night before the husband could have them.

The law is always right eh?

If you are trying to justify your actions by quoting a law that probably took place in the 18th century... you are an idiot.  What you are doing is not only against today's laws, but it just goes against common ethics.  You can't win this fight, find another way to clean your dirty money.
1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: currency or investment? on: September 15, 2015, 04:32:43 AM
Even fiats also used to invest on something. So it is not a currency? What is the use of currency actually? IMO, a currency can also be as an investment isn't it?. So bitcoin is not only the investment but also a currency (but it is not popular yet that's it.

Well if you think about it, fiats such as the USD were first based on the gold standard where it was said that every note the government issued out was to be exchangeable at any time for a certain amount of gold the US held, it was just more convenient to carry paper currency and coins rather than sacks of gold.  Now that the gold standard is gone and now it is just based off trust in the Fed, a whole new game ensues...

Now that people don't really trust the central banks anymore, and also due to the fact that it would be more convenient to carry your currency amount in the form of data on your computer and phones; the evolution of what people consider valuable continues... So going back to the question, it is both because for one it can be called the new form of paper currency which was the new form of gold, and you can also call it an investment because as more and more people enter bitcoin markets, it will always increase the value of bitcoin; and since it's a global currency, the potential of value is infinite... just as long as people put their "trust" into cryptocurrencies.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the most profitable type of gambling? on: September 15, 2015, 04:23:00 AM
I'm not much of a gambler myself, but when I gamble I play poker. Poker can be very profitable, but it is very time consuming as well. Betting and casinos,  are not my type. so, what's your opinion on what could be more profitable?

Gambling is not very profitable, because in the long run you will always lose... that's why so many casinos exist.  If you do get on a hot streak in any type of gambling game though, take it and run.  Gambling is always meant to be something that is fun and passes time for entertainment, I wouldn't make it into a career by any means.

The only thing I can see that would be profitable and considered "gambling" in some sense is to invest in something, whether trading other cryptos or trying your luck on ponzi's ... there are tons of scams out there so be careful wherever you put your money though.

Good luck!
Thanks for your answer. I guess I have the same belief. In gambling, in the long run you will always lose.
Nevertheless, we a see a lot of professional gamblers. And the ones who seem to keep their way are concentrated either on poker or in the sports betting \trading industry.
thats because it is possible to consistently profit in the long run in poker/sportsbets. unlike other typical gambling games, these are not bets against the house. in poker for example, it is possible to win consistently in a way that will overall increase your bankroll. with sportsbooks, it is possible to gain an edge by playing the displayed opening odds, researching, etc. both do take time, but it can be treated as a full time job with enough expertise.

Don't get me wrong, I know that some people can become profitable by gambling in poker and that kind of thing... but in all reality these people lead to have no lives in investing their time solely on that one game. Hell, my brothers roommate in college was the richest kid I have ever met in my entire life and it was because of online poker... he ended up becoming professional and going to the WSP.

But at what cost? On weekends, he would skip out on party's/barhoping with us and would go barricade himself in a small cubicle at the university's library and stay there for hours or even a full day at times... Now he became very successful with what he did, made 100K+ at least, but hopefully you get my point..
1332  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Blocktrail's Bitcoin Wallet on: September 15, 2015, 04:05:43 AM
I just downloaded and backed up my new blocktrail wallet on my iOS... I just didn't know if it has a cold storage feature like circle and xapo does? I know it's not a "true" cold storage, but I was just wondering if blocktrail offers the same type of security setting with it or not?
1333  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: HonestDoubler.com - 100% IN 100 HOURS - 15% REF - FREE GIVEAWAYS INSIDE! on: September 15, 2015, 03:30:52 AM
WTF oh my eyes Grin
this is 100% guarantee Huh
100% return on investment right after 100 hours

No in the FAQ's, HD says to only invest what you can afford to lose and that there is always a chance of losing your investment.  To be honest I've been throughly impressed with this ponzi so far, the person running this site has been legitimately honest so far.. the only thing that's going to take this site down in the long run is no more investors, but as of right now the HD community has been growing non the less...

I predict in maybe a couple more months when everyone who would ever be interested in this kind of thing has been introduced and is actively participating, it will be more of a gamble when you choose to invest and when not too... I really don't think HD will run away with the money... but then again I always try to see the good in people, I've been wrong lots of times too lol Grin

You have to join a signature campaign first, and that is going to be pretty tough since you are a newbie...

There are some campaigns though that offer newbies sig campaigns though... 777coin is one of them, not quite sure what the others are.

Hopefully the next forum won't hurt your feeling so bad, lol.  Kiss

hopefully you have a wonderful day.

Glad to see you were able to use the feedback system yourself.
Less glad to see you leave. jonald_fyookball seems like a sensible person. Like I suggested in the other thread, I would like you to communicate directly with him to solve this.

I appreciate your sensible means of looking at things. I have since received a message from the user, he has refrained from removing the trust. It's unfortunate that a trust system is this easily abused, as well that users would jump the gun on leaving negative feedback due to their personal incompetence or misunderstanding.  I do believe he/she is most likely a positive contributor to this website, but I also believe that if this user is so willing to abuse the system without fully understanding why they are leaving feedback, than it's more than likely they have also left negative feedback on other users that fail to deserve it.

In any regards thanks for your level headed approach. It's quite unfortunate.  Shit happens, I guess everyone can play the same game and we can all keep misreading posts and leave negative feedback on eachother.

I just looked at your trust and it doesn't look like you don't have any negative trust though?  Maybe he/she took it down just now?
1337  Economy / Economics / Re: They want my dna, urine samples to buy Bitcoins In the USA on: September 15, 2015, 01:37:32 AM
Wait, so why is it not a reasonable solution to buy btc from circle or xapo if you are in the U.S.? I mean they may charge a little bit, but you can buy btc as long as you have funds in your bank account.. Huh
i think you misunderstood  circle.com was the best anwser

Oh yeah, sorry you are right... didn't read the post thoroughly.

I am sorry,Do you really have that kind of restriction in USA,kind of madness,i ve been thinking you joke
here i can buy btc even through sms or in money machine without using any card, just cash,or in shop
it is same easy like to pay for prepaid sim card
some states here is harder to get BTC i live in bum fuck Alabama and there is no BTC anywhere but go to NY and they have a BTC machine

Yeah, that's the problem with living in the south... I live in Georgia and tried to look up people selling btc on localbitcoins.com and there was like maybe 1 or 2 people within a 100 mile radius.  Can't wait to get my degree and leave the bible belt...
1338  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: September 15, 2015, 01:30:29 AM
Who cares about the casino layout anyways? Poeple care way more about speed and how reliable and secure the website is, there are plenty of new dice sites that make money because addicts will always find new casinos because they think the others are rigged because they lost, unfortunately casinos only work because of gambling addicts but i agree that is a good way to become rich or at least pretty wealthy

That is a factor too but you dont understand.

Gambling, atleast the vegas style is achieved by the mesmerisation of the gamblers.

All the flashy lights, nice electric sounds, coin shaking effects, etc.

That gives the enviroment in gambling, if any online casino can replicate the "vegas effect" it will be probably the nr.1 bitcoin casino.

-------------------------------

There i gave you a million dollar tip, go do it, but make sure to donate me a small % if you get rich from my idea Cheesy

Yeah, the flashy lights and sirens can do that to a gambler in Vegas... but you're missing the key ingredient that makes Vegas what it is today..

Cheap/free alcohol and half off buffets so the losers "feel" like they are winners.  Once you can be digitally served alcohol, that'll be the day I can die happy... Grin

But on a serious note, yeah it's all about the "feel" a gambler gets when looking at that screen, so if you can make it as colorful and flashy as possible, you'll probably do well.

Lol yeah, it was fun trying to get that hit... but after being down .005 I think I'll just go to bed with my tail between my legs.  Congrats though to yanee15, I would be doing backflips if I hit all 3 haha.
1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream Adoption on: September 15, 2015, 01:10:40 AM
Honestly, I think the fact that it's not mainstream yet might have something to do with the negative connotation in association to silk road (but not much)

The real reason why it hasn't gone mainstream, imo, has to do with the fact that it hasn't been publicly displayed on major news sites since the downfall of silk road and the downfall of btc's CEO.  Give it some time though, evolution of currency is bound to happen and is going to happen in the near future.  As for now, enjoy the low prices for btc and stack up while you can Grin
