821  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 25, 2015, 07:39:40 PM
I still think this rally is about market makers getting sure nobody else gets 44k cheap coins at the martial auction, that could threaten their positions.
I expect this to continue for at least 10 more days, with peak around 3-4th of November.

We don't know if the buyers are going to hold or dump. The only thing we do know is that the damn government gets the cash and I hope that amount is as low as possible.

That's actually something I never really thought before... it could very well be possible for someone who has a lot of cash laying around just absolutely hates the government in general are just pumping up the prices just to fuck with them in a way.  Lol, I hope this is not the case and is a legitimate growth in bitcoin and not some ruse some troll is doing just for that one specific instance.

Fuck with the government, by helping them maximize their take? Think this through again.

No... what I'm saying is that someone is pumping the price up until the point of the auction and then plans on dumping after the auction takes place so they would lose a lot of money... I highly doubt that this scenario is happening, I'm just saying it would be funny if some millionaire out there is trying to do this.

823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $300 this month? on: October 25, 2015, 07:18:44 PM
Seems that bitcoin could break 300$ in one day, in chinese exchanges it breaked the psicological mark. If it not breaks this mark i think it would pullback to previus level.

What "previous level" do you mean?  $275? $250? $200?  I sure hope not, honestly, I would like to see the price fluctuate around the $290-$295 level through this month, because that would mean that this increase in price is not some bubble ready to pop on us.

825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 25, 2015, 07:09:17 PM
It would be nice if we could bottom ~0.0013, that's exactly on the following support line. In addition, we also have some support at 0.00131.

--snip--

It would indeed be nice.

I can't be the only one here who has an average buy price for a fair chunk of XMR at a level above 0.0013.

Been buying at many stops under the 20's but getting too low on ammo to average down any more just now..

It's looking oversold on a dollar value basis, so I am hopeful 13 is bottom. Pitching my last couple of available BTC in now

And back above 0.0014, what a rollercoaster. Anyway, if we can "paint" a bottom here it would signal some strength, because basically we bounced of that line now.

I think 95%, if not even more, have a average buy in price above the current level. Bear in mind, that we've only been briefly below this level and have been way higher for a longer amount of time. Thus, there is basically no way many people would've profited from it to the extent that they have a buy-in price below this level.

Furthermore, the daily and the 3D RSI shows that we're heavily oversold. I've never seen the daily RSI this low (~20) and even the 3D RSI is droping below 30.

I have been hitting anything under 14 for a few hours on and off now.  Fun to pick off even little amounts. Plus have a couple of BTC placed at varying points down to 0.001315 - and have always had a couple under 13 just in case.  More volume at this level now - so I can't be the only one - I am no megawhale!

I am too far in to go heavier (I wish) but all I can say is:

THESE PRICES ARE JUST TOO CHEAP TO MISS.

I agree, I feel like the prices of monero are really cheap and I might miss an opportunity to invest everything I have... but I have bills to pay and other things I need to attend too.  I try to get some when I can, even if it is as small as 5-10 xmr... but as of right now in the real world, there are bills to be paid which only can be paid in fiat.  Until then, I keep going on to work every week and working pay check to pay check Sad
826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: October 25, 2015, 06:46:00 PM
It's the most REAL god damn form of money ever to be seen in the history of mankind. How can it not be real money? All other forms of money until now have been shit, now thanks to technology, we can finally make that ideal form of money true. The fact everyone using this yet it's because most people are idiotic sheep, so we will need one decade or two.

You've really hit the nail on the head with this comment...  It is hard for a majority of people to accept bitcoin (or most other cryptos for that matter) in a conceptual manner.  They fail to realize that there is no such thing as a "free bitcoin", all they see is numbers on a screen, not the hashing power and energy that it took to create those numbers... Also, it's hard for people to see the use for a limited currency, because what you learn in school is that the private banks control the money supply for inflation and that is supposed to be good for us... it's just another way that the leaders of our country can manipulate the minds of the majority of people to be at the mercy of a group of very wealthy and powerful individuals that can quite literally create numbers on the screen with no work or effort...

Kind of ironic when I think about it.
827  Other / Off-topic / What kind of music does bitcointalk listen too? on: October 25, 2015, 06:44:08 AM
So I was thinking about this the other day... music really tells a lot about the personality of someone and can really connect people in a different level than by just talking to them (especially through a forum).  So I think it would be best to get to know users on here by listing off their favorite types of music and bands.

As for me I like kind of rock and roll/bluesy stuff (Ex: Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Rolling Stones, Tedeschi Trucks Band, etc.)

So what do you guys like to listen too?
828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: October 25, 2015, 06:36:48 AM
I think that it's hard for people to conceive bitcoin as actual money because it's not something they can touch, hold, make it rain on hookers or snort coke with... but really though...

It's hard for people to conceive of a new currency to them just looks like numbers that crudely relates it to fiat (USD, EUR, etc.)... they simply don't understand the hashing power and energy that needs to be used to make this system work and don't see the value in it to where the newbie would want to invest a lot of money, but yet, just want to find ways in earning free coins by sucking the faucets teets.  I know what some people on here would think though regarding my post, "Oh sure, you say that, but you are sucking the teet of the signature campaign as well, hypocrite".  Yes, I do like earning a passive income while I browse on here just like everyone else, but I understand that to earn a small income for doing something like posting on a forum, you would need to write some slightly intelligible posts on here.  The other people that just join just assume that there would be some magical way to randomly get bitcoins, or think that they can just turn on some old computer that has been sitting in their room and generate magical internet money with it.

It needs to be known by everyone who signs up to bitcointalk, or just anybody in general who decides to delve in the world of cryptocurrencies, that there are legit investments to be made if one were to mine bitcoins, which in itself makes it valuable since it clearly works to transfer any denominations anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: October 25, 2015, 06:24:44 AM
I'm guessing 99% of the people on this forum are waiting for their chance at landing on the moon...

Of course, that's the dream... To reach a point of ROI where you look back on your initial investment and think, "Man, I wish I would've had more money to buy more btc then" is the ultimate end goal for me; even though it will be tough to reach that realization, tough pill to swallow.
830  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $300 this month? on: October 25, 2015, 05:47:41 AM
The bulls aren't the reason for the price increase this month, it's the ware wolves I tell you.  Halloween... the moon... get it? heh... heh...

No but seriously though, tomorrow I think we will hover the $290-$295 level and when next week comes... good lord, hold on to your hats Smiley
831  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 25, 2015, 04:47:00 AM
Many adaptors claim that this ride is generated by GEMINI.

On board with crazy twins (you know what I am saying) bitcoin has no limit, however +300 seems obvious.

I think it's safe to say that it doesn't have to do with one specific exchange site or entity as of right now... Honestly I see it as more of a multitude of different reasonings such as gemini, china, VAT, altcoin dumpings to bitcoin, etc.
832  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you agree people barrow money for gambling? on: October 24, 2015, 07:14:30 PM
Borrow money, go bet or roll dice and u'll have for urself and u'll give back. EASY MONEY! Thats how i do it!
I highly suggest you should stop that , that's not easy money. If you'll continue doing that, you'll probably end up broke and have a lot of unpaid debts. Roll Eyes
Lol i think if he still doing that as he sell his house and lot ,accessories and even his body to have a money to play it in gambling. so in the end bankrupt..

That's unfortunately how it goes for a lot of people, and it sucks. Gambling addiction does ruin a lot of lives, and I don't see why someone gambling with Bitcoin instead of fiat should change this or make it impossible. I've seen a lot of people lose a lot of money and deeply regret it.

This would be entirely true if someone where to stumble upon bitcoin gambling and someone where to buy bitcoins just to play with at a dice site...

What I'm saying is that it would be a little different if someone on here had acquired a lot of coins back in the day solely through mining, when mining was profitable, and the guy gambles all of his coins away because he had a problem with gamlbing... but if someone where to spend a small fortune getting coins primarily just to use at these sites, that's where it gets to the point of ruining some lives.
833  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 24, 2015, 07:10:24 PM
280's a lock ... breakout wont be far away.

Yep, let's break the lock...

I would love it for a leash to be put on this beast before "breaking the lock" and letting the price sprint to $300... If it's a huge spike toward $300 then we might even see prices go below $260 again due to some huge dumpage.  I gaurantee you there is someone with a large sack of coins waiting to make it rain when this happens.
834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wallet? on: October 24, 2015, 06:55:00 PM
Curently i'm using only online wallets. Coinbase, bitgo, blockchain.info, xapo

Maybe you should look at getting a more secure wallet, or if you are holding bitcoins for the long run, maybe you should look into creating a paper wallet?  If you're like me though, and want to spend bitcoins at any point in time, I personally like blocktrail, mycellium, and breadwallet the best when it comes to smart phone wallets.
835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wallet? on: October 24, 2015, 03:41:56 PM
I tend to stick with my mobile wallet if I do have some coins to carry around, and since I have an iOS I use breadwallet... it's nice because it connects directly to the blockchain network and has really nice security features that go along with it.  As for the coins I hold on my computer, I tend to just use multibit HD, because it's simple and relatively secure to the point where I don't have to worry as much.
836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you play loteries ,did you won something on: October 24, 2015, 03:23:01 PM
Well, I haven't done this in a very long time; but yesterday I went and bought a $10 scratch off ticket with the hopes of hitting it big... and you know what...

I WO...lost... I lost big time.  Haha, Idk what provoked me to thinking I had that much luck that day, but when I looked at all the numbers, and looked again... It was just that sinking feeling of defeat that overwhelmed me that made me wanted to go back in and try one more.  Thank God I didn't, I feel like with my addictive personality, within a couple hours I would've been sitting on the sidewalk, drinking malt liquor, on my last cigarette from the pack I just bought, with dozens of cards all over the place while I cry.
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 24, 2015, 03:00:11 PM
but maybe the people who browse the darknet don't really do anything else besides get high and sell stuff on there.

That's certainly not the case. I use the blockchain.info onion link because I don't want them logging my IP every time I look up a bitcoin transaction. Has nothing to do with drugs or selling stuff.

Oh yeah, no, I should've made it clear that I was talking about the dark "markets" on there that transact goods... not the darknet entirely.  I've browsed .onion sites (markets) before, being just curious what was out there; and what it mostly seemed like was real sketchy business transactions... Now keep in mind, I was just going through the "hidden wiki" which can't be THAT secret to begin (I'm not a fool); but just in general, I would think people who are downloading tor to go buy stuff on the darknet are primarily in the hunt for mischievous items to buy.

Now what would be really cool is to see on the "hidden wiki" a sort of ebay type of place that only helps sellers sell legal items... and just boast that they do nothing more than to help you protect your privacy of what and where you are buying them.  Mind you I didn't really look that closely into all of the stuff out there on the darknet, just wanted to read up what people are doing on there (Probably about a year ago, so it's probably changed a lot recently).
838  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Astronomers may have found alien megastructures orbiting star near the Milky Way on: October 24, 2015, 02:44:42 PM
Intelligent Aliens are smarter than the those energy gatherers, gathering energy from a sun by placing a giant antenna around it. This proves that this story is another hoax.

Maybe (probably) not an alien structure, but maybe not a hoax either.  The original statements from the scientists involved pretty clearly did NOT state it was an alien structure, but posited that it was odd data, which COULD be such and such.

The media has blown it up into what it is now.  "Alien Cruise Ship Rocks into the Milky Way" or whatever.

Odds are it is a natural thing that science just hasn't seen before and so doesn't have a data profile to match it to to determine "this is what it is"  Lots of unknowns out there and we haven't even begun to scratch the surface, so I would expect an endless stream of "WTF is that?" type things as we poke our noses out there and stumble across things we haven't seen before.

It's obviously greedy capitalists.  Some corporation greedily taking 25% of the entire output of the star.  Think of the cold, miserable poor, left in the dark.  Who will care for them?

I hear the next big endeavor by trump is to create the "Trump Sphere" around the sun and can harvest 26.7% of the entire stars output... see that socialist!? Capitalism is hard at work, providing you, the consumer, a better/more high quality product of sustainable energy.

839  Economy / Speculation / Re: Recent BTC price increase is a sing of a trend or not? on: October 24, 2015, 02:33:34 PM
For me, I don't consider it a trend yet, but it is somehow similar to what happened in 2012 up to ath at 2013. Also, I don't want to see another bubble forming again and pop right into our faces. Just like what DiamondCardz said, this time we need to make it more sustainable.

Well, I believe if all the exchange sites supplying the bitcoins to people remain legit and don't pull a Gox move then we will be fine.. The thing is, is that the more people see the prices moving up, I believe, will create panic buys.  This is especially true when regarding if the price spikes up like $100 at any given time.

Another thing we would have to consider is what influence the upcoming coin auction the government is doing... I personally don't see how this will be a negative influence in the price, but a lot of people are worried about a full out dump after or below it... so I guess it's nice to speculate on that too.
840  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $300 this month? on: October 24, 2015, 02:23:01 PM
wow surpised bitcoin can break 280, what do you think guys, the price still increase more than 280 this month

I personally think so, because of the fact that every time we hit a true resistance point right now, it tends to fluctuate around that price for 12-24 hours and then makes its move back up.  It seems like people are genuinely trying to accumulate as many coins as possible before this upcoming halving.
