1321  Economy / Gambling / Re: Please research new sites before investing in them on: November 22, 2016, 01:05:08 PM
you should also know that sometimes research is not going to cut it. specially when it comes to investing in something so risky like a bitcoin casino. if you check their histories they all had bad times and good. bad times in the sense that they house lost and their investors lost with them.
1322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction queue size on: November 22, 2016, 01:01:04 PM
What is the normal amount of bitcoins transactions in queue? Currently it is close to 30000 transactions.
I have a transaction waiting for over 16 hours now. It has a fee, so am I guarenteed that it will be confirmed?

view the queue length here
https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

the so called "normal" number of unconfirmed transactions are usually about 2000 to 5000, you can see the history of it here: https://blockchain.info/charts/mempool-count?timespan=60days

and it usually goes up when there is a gap in the finding of blocks, or there is an increased number of activity that day like when people are trading more (more transactions)
1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Affiliate program - questions on: November 21, 2016, 01:28:30 PM
1. What do you think? 0,5% of the value of bets and sometimes it's doubled for a week for example. Do you that they are better than this one?

please clarify this for me.
is the 0.5% on all the bets or only on the bets they lose?
for example if my affiliate makes a 1BTC bet will i get paid 0.005BTC even if he wins that bet?

then what is the difference between this and a dice site like primedice which pays 10%?

Quote
2. Where do you share your affiliate links?

i usually put it in my signature on forums and also in a blog but i have not been doing either recently because if me being a bit busy these days.
1324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sorry to all who buy Zcash at 1btc + on: November 21, 2016, 01:19:53 PM
I think the developers are to be blamed for this mess in price, they failed to protect traders and let speculators have their day.

the price was fake to be fair because there really isn't enough demand for this coin to make it worth more than bitcoin! it should have came down even sooner.

Quote
They should have allowed the mining to regularized before listing on exchanges, now what miners are doing is to mine and dump the coins in the market to take profit. Even with all the hype Zcash did not enter top 10 on coinmarketcap.com but I expect things to normalize soon

what do you think other miners of other altcoins do? they all mine and dump or some of them dump on the small rises but they never hold. that is the only purpose of altcoin mining you mine and dump to make money for your other projects.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much time to 30 losses on a roll on: November 21, 2016, 01:08:15 PM
I'm looking for details about your experiences on Hi-Lo game. How long you already went into this game? Did you get many losses on a roll? More than 30? The chance to this happen is 1 in millions, but in casinos it can happen more frequently, no?  Wink

no it is not 1 in a million and actually it is a lot lower that that because you are finding a random number between 0.00 and 99.99 which is a very big range of numbers (some sites have even bigger range) and then there is house edge and also the multiplier you choose. and 30 losses in a row is rare in 2x games but it happens, for me it has happened twice before i gave up dice.
1326  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nobody is talking about the reason for this rise! on: November 21, 2016, 12:59:06 PM
And who is talking about the correction now? Cheesy
Some doom sayers will call it a dump of course!

whenever there is a change these doomsaday guys come out of their hidings like quakduck! and nobody pays any attention to them any more.
but the reason why i created this topic was to spark some discussions about the reasons for these changes!

Quote
In general it's always the market. No real reasons are needed with such a

there is always a reason, even small which leads to small change or even bigger leading to a big change and the background is always some hint of manipulation.

None of the above. I just thought its because of the season . Christmas season i think. Haha anyway it is also because the dollar value is in a bigger value now than before the last time i chech it goes 49 in our currency before it is only 43 , still its incteasing but really i thought because of the season things seems easy and fun when Christmas is coming.

interesting but doubt it is because of Christmas , don't people need liquidity these days for buying stuff? usually price should go down because of cash outs?!
1327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Circle CEO on BTC: Nobody Will Be Using Bitcoin in 5 to 10 Years on: November 21, 2016, 12:51:28 PM
Jeremy Allaire is full of shit for the reasons elucidated here: http://moriartybitcoin.com/?p=87

how is this guy the CEO of a bitcoin tech company?  From his ludicrous comments, he's barely qualified to be CEO of Dunkin Donuts

that is exactly my thought Cheesy
i would have expected this from some random guy on the forum or even some crappy news site that wants to attract some clicks but when you own a business like circle you should have the least understanding of bitcoin, this guy sounds like a newbie or maybe he is trying some FUD technique? !
1328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy bitcoin? on: November 20, 2016, 04:15:24 PM
Do i buy bitcoins or wait?

open up the search and look for topics on this board and others with the same question as yours like "when is the time to buy bitcoin"

and the answer is always the same. buy now and keep holding for a couple of years to see the real reward.

you can check the times of those topics with a bitcoin price chart history and compare how much profit those people could have made only if they bought then.
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: daily pumping alt coins on: November 20, 2016, 04:05:08 PM
Be aware of the Exchange Troll Box.
Watch your back, wear a (virtual) stab proof vest.

The people pumping are cocky and blatant and will often announce that buy walls are going to be removed with a cheeky "Buy Walls Going in 5...4...3...2...1"

Then watch your coin dump Smiley Smiley Cheesy

well maybe that is why it is called troll box lol.  Funny but i have a first hand experience on this when i was just starting.  Anyway, all pump and dump operations are secret else they won't caught traders unguarded.  Most pump and dump groups are subscribed group wherein you need to pay a certain fee in order for you to get in that group.

don't be fooled by the name, there is no such thing called pump and dump group. there is one person or a couple of friends/partners who are pumping and the rest of the subscribers who buy like a sheep and get dumped on later.

and sometimes it is not much of a secret if you look at the charts (not always though).
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tell us How You bet On Dice on: November 20, 2016, 03:58:19 PM
If someone is betting on dice websites then i would like to hear what base bet , Multiplier , and other stuff related to it...
Also tell us the most successful strategy you think in gambling .... But please don't say Only Luck works in gambling... I have heard it more than thousand times  Grin

i use martingale method mostly and i am never happy about the result of it. and since i always have a small bankroll on these dice sites i use, i am forced to start from the smallest bet amount which is 1 satoshi and the multiplier is usually changing from 2x to 3x most of the time.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on sport = gambling? on: November 20, 2016, 03:53:21 PM
For me, Betting in sports is actually a gambling because there is a money involve and when you actually win the game then you will get profit from it right? and then if you lose from betting, you will actually lose money, so that is gambling.  Smiley
That's right but it's a very exciting way of gambling, some gamblers treat this as part of entertainment and they won't bother looking back on their loses as long as they were able to bet and enjoy the game. Sports enthusiast have all the chance to gamble using their skills and they might benefit from it in sports betting.
Yes, sports betting must be a peculiar type of gambling and it is specially invented for sports loving people.
I believe through sports betting we can enjoy the sport as well as we will get chances to make use of our interest on sports to earn some profits.

Even it is highly based on sports and its knowledge, I too still believe it is also one of gambling type.
yes in some points its a great venue to show our support with our favorite teams/players and while we are enjoying the game we are also getting some consolation when the team we supported wins its an additional excitement that bring to us its a gambling in the sense that we are placing money but if treated as for the sake of enjoying we can easily forget it if the game turned to lose.

gambling is all about this type of thrill, and when you combine that excitement with the entertainment of a sport, specially one that you love and follow then you got yourself a potent combination and nobody can deny loving.
1332  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where Can I invest in Bitcoin Casino? on: November 20, 2016, 03:48:16 PM
I think you should use Safedice when i was using it 4 months ago it had an investment option i don't know if still they are taking investments or not but give it a try.

Tried that one, for a few weeks, made next to nothing. So, I ll think about finding something else to invest into.

Do you want to invest in gambling dice websites only or can you invest in other websites also ?

Is yes then i would prefer goto bitfinex.com " Non ref link "
And fund the traders there for interest everyday. It's 100% profitable without risk
I know recently bitfinex got hacked but i think it will not happen again.

first of all whenever you are trusting a third party platform you are taking risks, then you are giving your money to some other person on the internet which is only on that platform and without collateral so this is double risk which makes it double risky.

besides can you explain to me why that person who takes the loan are not going to default it? i mean it is for trading so lets say he took 1BTC and lost 20% of it while trading and he can easily throw away his account and never come back to finex.
1333  Economy / Gambling / Re: Flip a coin and win 200% on: November 20, 2016, 03:41:20 PM
correct me if i am wrong but this is not "Coin Flip" because flipping a coin means you should only have two results : heads or tails. what i see is a number between 0 and since i have seen 4 digits i am guessing 10000(9999) !

in other words what the hell is the difference between this (5% house edge) and dice (<=1% house edge)?
1334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India is Paying $900+ for Bitcoin Amid Cash Crisis on: November 20, 2016, 03:30:26 PM
India is Paying $900+ for Bitcoin Amid Cash Crisis

https://news.bitcoin.com/india-paying-900-bitcoin-cash-crisis/

What do you think about this?

one thing that i do not see anyone talking about which was in the article, is the fact that article's source for bitcoin price in India is localbitcoins and we all know that prices there are user defined and always higher than real exchange prices, and i don't think many people are going to buy from localbitcoins when they can buy from some place like btc-e with $200 under the price!
1335  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you really make money on Forex? on: November 19, 2016, 02:10:35 PM
Altcoin trade is considered as forex too?

I think that to make money with trades is required a lot of study, none newbie can do this, maybe you can have lucky on the first month or more but if you don't know exactly what are you doing, you will lose all your money. Nothing comes easy, knowledge is everything.
Yes you right knowledge is everything. I have an oppinion, I think trading cryptocurrency and trading forex is different. In forex there are technical term called margin call, pip and etc. But in cryptocurrency trading we only have two technical term called buy and sell. Peiple can make money in forex,  I am agree with your statement that need study to do trading forex,  if someone do this without knowledge it's just the same with gambling.

well the difference is mostly in the size and the popularity of the markets. the size or you can call it marketcap or the orderbook depths are different for example you can not dump enough of a currency in forex market to push its price down a big percentage. for that you may need a couple of tens of millions of dollars.

but in altcoins you can dump and push the price down to even 90% at times with only a very small capital. that is why there are so many manipulations going on in altcoin market and so many of old traders are tired and mad these days cursing all the pump and dump groups!
1336  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is more risky? Skill-based gambling or trading? on: November 19, 2016, 02:02:54 PM
I often see that people prefer skill-based gambling such as poker or sportsbook because they think it's more profitable than trading.
But, people say that sports can be manipulated by mafia/casino for their own good.

So, which one is more risky? Skill-based gambling or trading? I think both of them have same risks because both of them could be manipulated, unexpected things could happen and many more.

it all depends on many different things for example if you are really good at one of these skill based gambling like the poker that you mentioned here, then you have a lot better result (less risk) than trading if you don't know trading.

and when i say you should be really good, i mean you should have been playing poker for years, and you should be considered an expert first and then you start having less risk.

but for regular players and regular traders the risks are the same an they are high!

I agree with this guy to an extent. I think that being an experienced Poker player or Trader is important to lessening the risk at each individually. But honestly if you are good at trading and managing your money, you  will be solid at Poker. They use the same skill set and mind set to make money. Poker is all about deceit and cunning, not revealing what your hand holds, same as trading. If everyone knows your trade is not worth, they won't make it. Outplay for profit, extremely similar.

how is these two the same thing?
you say it yourself Poker is all about deceit and cunning, and remember that when you play poker you are playing against a couple of other humans (a handful) and you only have to do the cunning there.

but when you are trading, you are only a fish in a sea of thousands and in bigger markets even millions of traders and lots of different things that can affect the market. so how can you use cunning in a market which is a couple of billions of dollars big?
i mean yeah you can use deceit in a shitcoin market which has a $1000 market cap but not in a real trading market.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Putting money in lottery is gambling too? on: November 19, 2016, 01:54:39 PM
Sure its gambling what you would say about lotery its just a game? Which you throw money to the jackpot, and play against others trying to get the main prizes. Makes no diference lotery of bitcoin as the real lotery systems, people keep gambling at lotery even with the soo many financial problems showing up.
That's individuals decision and they have the freedom to spend their money, I know lottery does not really make you lose big because you just have to bet a small amount of money hoping you can win the jackpot which normally millions. Even if you have problem, you still have the right to enjoy.
Lottery can in fact make you lose big, if you buy hundreds of lottery tickets, that is not really that different than putting hundreds of bets on the roulette, slots or blackjack.
Well lottery is a game of chances and luck so the odds pretty much are the same if you buy several tickets or if you buy a single one. If it's you it will be you whos going to win.

And that is one of the best gambling as long as you can afford the amount you are buying for tickets for lottery then that's fine. And as long as you are putting any amount of money into risk for a chance of winning some money, making it doubled, tripled or even higher. Then that is already consider that you are gambling with your own money.

the amount of money in buying a lottery ticket is not an issue in my opinion. i think even if it was super cheap it wouldn't have been a good idea to put money in lottery! and it is always a gamble.

the difference is that people don't usually see or think about the odds, it is like playing a dice game with a very big multiplier like 9999X becasue the chances are that slim and it is slimmer the more people join in.
1338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nobody is talking about the reason for this rise! on: November 19, 2016, 01:48:30 PM
It's been going up for a year based on Chinese investment and ongoing adoption. I see nothing new?

there are many new things going on. like the hype of US election, the India and how bitcoin price has been going to the moon there, and some other countries starting to find out about bitcoin. these on their own may not be so significant changes but the rise were not that significant either.

and the biggest one is Segwit in my opinion which looks to be going well.

I think that the reason is pretty much more people realising that bitcoin is a good investment at this stage with such a low price. More Chinese investors as well I guess. Volume has been consistently over billions of dollars on major Chinese exchanges.

Trump could also be a reason.

the volume coming from China is always big, so that is nothing new.

and besides people don't just wake up some day saying i got to get me some bitcoin! it happens slowly and one person at a time unless something big changes and i was looking to see if something big has changed!

1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is Gambling Like Investing on: November 19, 2016, 01:36:18 PM
I'm not a fan of gambling by itself, but instead as a way of studying and learning about other things.  For instance, I'm sure that if elderly people kept playing card games, it would help keep their minds alert.  Studying poker involves studying human nature and probabilities.   There are other aspects like studying risk in gambling, which is like studying risk in investing.

Does anyone have any examples of how gambling is like investing?

i think it is best if you don't consider gambling as an investment, not even if you make money from it.
that way you can experience the fun part of gambling a lot more than the stress and the bad feeling of small loss when you are trying so hard to earn money from it.

but with that said you can start trying sports betting so that you have a better chance at having a better win
