1321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: May 25, 2023, 12:34:19 PM

He will be tested again by a real champion. If he struggles against Kambosos, I don't see him having a good chance of winning against a more complete boxer. I believe that Teofimo Lopez is overrated. He gained popularity by beating Loma, but his career is not going well yet. He still needs to prove himself again, and it starts with beating Taylor.

If he can beat some strong fighters with no doubts or controversy, he will be no doubt to be recognized as a really strong boxer but if he continues to struggle in his every fight, I guess your right Lopez is truly an overrated dude who is just there to fool the fans and he is not worthy of any blockbuster fight at all. if he continues to show such performance, he will also lose his value because after all, the fans need some real entertainment and therefore they wanted to watch a skilled boxer that will gonna finish his opponent with a strong knockout power.

He is still entertaining to watch, but that doesn't guarantee a win. Some boxers remain entertaining even in defeat because they are willing to engage in toe-to-toe battles. We have witnessed Lopez's fighting style, and he is far from boring like Haney. What stands out about Lopez is his confidence as a boxer. He truly believes in himself like a great champion.
1322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 25, 2023, 12:04:14 PM
1) The possible return of Bay Area Dragons

- I like the idea of having foreign teams again in the PBA as that really brings much tougher competition in the league while giving chances to those low to mid-tier teams the good experience of dealing with a foreign team. I hope, if not conflict with the Dragon's schedule, they can get a chance to participate again in PBA.

I like the idea of the return to the PBA of the Dragons as a guest team or may they add some more teams to serve as guests because last time around, there are a lot of fans watching the game as they saw new faces and new talent live on the floor which is money for the PBA and the most important part is that PBA players will be banging with imports which in return could hone their skills to another level which is beneficial to the PBA players when they are playing in an international competition like FIBA.
This is great news for basketball fans. I'm sure they are still considered the favorites when they play because they are a really talented team with great 3-point shooters and length. Since it's their second time in the PBA, I believe they have made the necessary adjustments and will be ready to seek revenge.

Have not seen the game between SMB and NorthPort Phoenix in their pre-season game but saw the scores and found it interesting that TR7 was playing and scored 20+ points, would this be the start of his comeback bid in the PBA or still he will be riding the bench come opening season?

There's a high probability that he will play as long as he is in good health. SMB needs his minutes on the court because he can provide valuable energy to the team. If they choose not to utilize him, it may be more beneficial to consider trading him.
1323  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start a lending business on: May 25, 2023, 06:47:02 AM
You can be and be a good lender but the problem is for your how to gain trust from lenders as well knowing the status of your account.
Perhaps, you can try and see what will happen but also be sure that you know how to assess someone who asks you to lend because even high-rank members can't be trusted as well.

In this forum, trust is very important but that seems hard to acquire since we never know these people personally.
Think that this kind of business is too risky which is why only a few members offered this service even though they have been here for many years.
1324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need signal service on: May 25, 2023, 03:35:15 AM
Help me to find out any best telgram signal group. I dont have time for analysis. Just check the signal and trade. Thts all i need for trading crypto. So suggest me some best signal group.
What about trying a tried and tested bot for your trading? You just have to check it occasionally and ensure you are using the appropriate strategy with the market. Have you checked it out as well?

Aside from having no time, have you thought about why you want signal groups?
Having no time is one reason why a trader fails. I'm doubted how these signals work for OP which is in the first place he doesn't have any idea what trading is all about and what these signals can do with him. I've found out that he is really confidence that the signal group will help him reach his target, rather than make losses.

Yeah, I've preferred using a trading bot rather than relying on signals which is more reliable. But the problem is OP doesn't have time to do this and I see that trading doesn't fit for him actually.
1325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you give one reason why I should buy bitcoin? on: May 24, 2023, 09:48:53 PM
It is the person himself need to analyse and understand why he/she should buy bitcoin. Through the discussion OP could've got different reasons, and finally it is his expectations and the belief based on which he needs to make the buying. When it comes to bitcoin, it serves multiple needs. In all there were chances of making money as well as using it as an alternate.

OP's friend have said he can be ____buying bitcoin. The gap can be filled with rich, poor, frustrated, fail etc. The gap gives a perfect connect when you understand well about bitcoin and follow the market. In each and everything there is need of investment, and the same is with bitcoin. The capital is a must and that can be done buying, next its upto the user whether to hold for long term profit, get into trading for regular earning or prefer it for transaction needs etc.
It is very important that we are able to understand the market and Bitcoin itself as at this time, we already know what is really our main goal in investing in Bitcoin whether it was for a profit generator or just for a currency. Because until now, many people are still confused about what is Bitcoin and so their purpose of being here. But as we can see, though not all, the majority are aiming for a profit and they'll buy despite the high risk because they believe it won't disappoint them in the end. The moment that we have a clear reason why investing in Bitcoin, that would certainly change our insights as well, and never thought about the risk anymore.
1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you decide on a buy price target? on: May 24, 2023, 09:28:11 PM
I've been interested in adding Optimism and ImmutableX to my portfolio but their price has been inflated after big run ups.

Now they are both in freefall and I'm considering an entry point.

How do you decide where to take the plunge?  A certain %drop from the top or a %above bottom?

Or do you just look at previous levels as the traders always mention, Optimism is getting close to some previous tops at $1.3 for example?

Or do you get buy targets from another source?
Buy low and Sell high.
30-40% price drop is actually a good time to buy but we also have to consider the potentiality of the said project as well. It is very important to look further at its previous price trend and make a base of it when to buy. But as I usually did, I just bought when there is a correction happen and sometimes I bought at the moment when it started to recover.

Generally, it really depends on us what is our target price and that also depends on the current situation. It should be analyzed so well and make a decision that we think is right.
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: May 24, 2023, 08:26:01 AM

I'm more inclined to a Taylor win so that Lopez will be humbled, arrogant kid with only a fluked win against Loma hehe (sorry to Lopez's fans here).

1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 24, 2023, 04:31:58 AM
I favored for the Celtics today on the ML and handicap and bet on that 1-3, 6-10, and 11-14 lead for them as I see they will make it and that was at loss having that 17 blowout, wow I never thought that Celtics would made a run in the final quarter. Jayson Tatum is being aggressive and we didn't see this on the recent matches or it's not him that putting the efforts. I don't know if they can pull it again to a game 6 but that's unlikely, the Heat will came up with a win the next game.

Did you win? I think the there's a betting option too for a team to win by 16-20 points, and the odds are definitely high. Jayson Tatum had a good game, but hopefully, it's a wake-up call for him to be aggressive all the time and continue shooting the ball. When he's hot, he's unstoppable. It's a blowout win and a big bounce back because the Heat were able to blow them out in Game 3 with a 26-point lead.
1329  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are we expecting from now until Bitcoin halving? on: May 23, 2023, 09:35:42 PM

Are we expecting any more major crashes or should the markets start steadily rising in a few months or so or will that not happen till the end of 2023?
11 Months more to go and we never know yet but based on the past halvings, a price increase comes next and then followed by market corrections due to people selling their coins. Though not really sure about this next year but probably it gonna similar to what happens in the coming days. Perhaps, people are expecting another ATH that is why they are holding their coins waiting for that moment to come.

But whatever happens, we still need to be prepared and make a decision wisely and most of all, we don't have to be greedy, and sell them if there is an opportunity.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: May 23, 2023, 04:34:11 AM
I remembered that I withdrew almost 0.1 BTC and 10,000 Dogecoin through my referral earnings. So yes, you could have earned some money here.

That was the best way of making money without a risk. I couldn't remember how much I earned, but I'm sure it's not as huge as yours. So, is your YouTube channel not active now? What happened?

Personally, I earn when I risk money. With good effort in analyzing the game, I could make a decent amount of money, but only up to my limit because I made sure I would be able to manage the risk and not go beyond it. There's no guaranteed profit in gambling, and compared to investing, I think investing has a lower risk, so it's something I would choose to focus on more than gambling.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 23, 2023, 01:30:18 AM
Good luck, bro. The Lakers don't want to be embarrassed in front of the crowd, but you know the Nuggets are very consistent. Even if the refs are not always in their favor, they keep working hard and sticking to their system. You're right, the Lakers are usually strong in the 1st to 3rd quarters but struggle when it comes to closing the game. So, if the game remains close, we will likely see the Lakers ending their series today.

Lakers have made some decent rotation to give them a better chance, Dennis Schroder getting the start ahead of D'Angelo Russell and also Rui Hachimura who has had some great minutes off the bench in this series for the Lakers also getting the nod ahead of Vanderbilt, I think the Lakers could get a win here, if they managed to retain this line for most of the game and don't get into foul troubles, the early signs have been good so far for them.

The Lakers are leading, and James is off to a great start. However, it's still too early to conclude that the Lakers will win this game. Their lack of consistency throughout the series is the reason they are down 0-3. In order for them to secure a victory, they need an exceptional performance from LeBron James and must find a way to contain the Nuggets' impressive 3-point shooting.

So far, the Lakers have been shooting well from the 3-point area, primarily led by LeBron James. Based on their performance, it seems like they have had a good start and there is a possibility of ending the first half strongly. However, in terms of consistency, it is crucial for them to maintain the same level of intensity in order to secure a victory in the series. On another note, it is worth mentioning that Thompson has already made appearances in this series. It is my first time seeing him in a Lakers uniform.
1332  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear Market Reaches $27605 - Will the Downtrend Continue?" on: May 22, 2023, 09:38:29 PM
I guess that's how experienced traders are doing right now. They are buying when there are opportunities while the market is falling,
having an idea that the market can bounce back and give them short-term gains.

It's a matter of knowing how to react and how to take the risk when you see good opportunities to buy, instead of selling, it's better to deal with a good' research first.

The decision always relies on how you do your DYOR, as it will bring you the chance to earn decently.
But I guess, many traders are still learning as well and they have a hard time responding right to the situation. Most of them are selling because of worries that it turns down low (cut-loss strategy) which is supposed not to do that. It is very important that a trader must know how to hold as well thinking that the market design isn't consistently growing high, it drops also and even it takes a little bit longer before it recovers. Now, if we just keep using this strategy, we end up losing more.
1333  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: May 22, 2023, 09:09:45 PM
Earning money online is far superior to working at a physical establishment during the day. Although offline is highly appreciated and difficult. Trading is a great approach to find your true self. It will put everything to the test, including your greed, emotions, patience, discipline, how you handle failure, control, common sense, and resolve. I strongly advise anyone who is going through a terrible time in their life to learn to trade since it provides them a clear sense of purpose other than waiting for jobs. So, which is better, online or offline?
Trading can only be profitable if you have the skills and strategies to make it work, but for beginner traders it’s hard to make it superior than offline job since they are more susceptible to losses knowing they only have less knowledge and experience when it comes to trading in a volatile market. So it’s still best to find a stable job and continue to honed their knowledge and skills in trading until they become professionals in it.
Yes, that is the thing we are supposed to do. At that time, we can compare which one gives us a bigger income. While seeing a lot of traders showing their huge income from doing this, unfortunately, countless traders also had suffer big losses as well. That I would say that there is a chance to make more money online like in trading but it was wise also to have an offline job if we can take and carry them working together. And that is what we called -multiple sources of income.
1334  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Education in Financial Literacy on: May 21, 2023, 09:48:13 PM
IMHO, Education is just a preparation to become a potential candidate to have a day job but not for financial literacy. We can just learn Financial literacy if we already have some job experience and most of all, if we can talk or engage with businessmen. Because what it teaches in school is to become competitive and make good grades so we can easily get a job but not be encouraged to become an entrepreneur. But of course, a proper education can't lead you to success and so it was still important in our life.
1335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What a shame on: May 19, 2023, 02:50:12 PM
Having people clamouring unto the government for there safety isn't exactly a bad thing. Besides, you operate in a jurisdiction and this jurisdiction is guided by certain laws and regulations that ensures the orderliness of things.

The bad news is, having so much trust in a system, believing that this is one way to be right always and that the government would do you right always is some way to leave all your reasoning to the government and when they ride on you, you don't even get to notice. That's just how bad it is.

People needs to make use of there brains or have it used for them by someone else or a group even.
The government system isn't wrong but what actually turns like it was difficult to understand is these people who implement the rules and abuse their power. People are relying on the government as they believe that would help us to grow and improve our living but unfortunately, these powerful people that are in the position ruin it makes us not trust them anymore. Because if we just keep following them, nothing will happen to us but just a puppet to them, and the more the become powerful.
1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding cryptocurrencies and investment. on: May 19, 2023, 02:14:40 PM
Risking innovative concepts is the primary challenge, especially if we don't have a firm guarantee of their viability and validity. In my viewpoint, it would be wiser to choose tried-and-true coins if you are unsure because they have a solid base and have already faced with various market circumstances. It may be tempting to make an investment to test new coins because they appear profitable and attractive, but we should never take a risk without first conducting adequate research to have a better assurance that we won't regret it afterward. Yes, there are many projects that are feasible today, but they also come with scam projects, so we need to be cautious of them.
There are potential coins available in the market and showing remarkable events already which is enough to consider when investing. In fact, we never fall into scam projects if we know exactly what we are doing and much more if we know the risk that we have in the crypto space. Many people suffer losses because of a lack of knowledge and greediness but if we can just stop this and take extra caution, I was very certain that it never happen to us. Unfortunately, things can be changed when someone who has the influence would speak as it gives courage to the investors without knowing that it was just a trap.
1337  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 19, 2023, 12:50:39 PM
<snip>
What are the disadvantages of using a credit card on online casinos? Any? Would you dare do such to earn more money?
One risk that I can think related to this is identity theft — people who has your credit card details can make use of your information to open new accounts that they can use for illegal activities. This is one issue that also happens with KYC processes.
Personally, I wouldn't want use credit card for payments online (incl. gambling platforms or even when shopping online). I prefer to use cash, e-cash, or cryptocurrency than connect my card to the platform, unless extremely needed.

Our identity is the most vulnerable when we do this. AFAIK, credit card transactions requires OTP or PIN codes to complete the transaction. *Please correct me if I'm wrong with this.
There are many disadvantages if you connect your credit card in casino as we are all know that once it's connected then there's a chance that they can steal your money and also once your credit card connect to your google and then bind it in the casino then make sure that casino is trusted enough because if not then they have a chance to deduct an amount even though you are not playing in them because they have access your google account which is your credit card connected.
It should not be linked to it as it is possible this will lead to unauthorized transactions in your account.
Many scam stories happen like this and it was to find out that someone does the confirmation on behalf of the original owner. Something we need to allow and must not try just to know if it really happens. It is not wise to do it and I don't think it was worth enough risking if that is only because of some bonuses.
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin IS an asset. Do you think it's bad? on: May 19, 2023, 12:13:01 PM
Bitcoin has been introduced as another form of currency (digital currency) but it seems to know that it never works that fast and attractive because people are really doubted if it works and have no knowledge about this. But fortunately, it has to find out that it works and gains more attention when people make use of this as an investment- buy, sell, and earn money.
of course, we can say that the majority are considering this as an asset but this time when many establishments are accepting this as a form of payment, it actually changes the insights that is not impossible to consider Bitcoin as currency.
1339  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to buy one time off bitcoin. on: May 19, 2023, 10:30:59 AM
Early 2015 my first experience buying bitcoin was at coinbase, at that time they only accepted purchases via credit card and i bought 2 btc which i planned for cloud mining and gambling, at that time the price of 1 btc was around $235, of course if i hold on until now i can get a lot of profit.
many were at the same time as you, friend, many did not predict that the price of bitcoin would increase sharply in just a few halving periods. but when the last ATH in 2017 many started to understand and started investing in bitcoin, maybe now more people know more and it's not surprising that everyone is competing to keep buying and saving.
In fact, it has started to grow last 2021 bull season and definitely, we gonna expect to double its number this coming bull season. The continuous growth of Bitcoin in every 4-year cycle brings attention to the community and brings more excitement. And to this time, we are expecting another ATH record. But we have also analyzed and set for a target price when to buy and when to sell. So, while it was not yet arrived, better not to waste our time then but to buy some and hold. We don't need to wait for the price of Bitcoin reach to $50k otherwise, I would say it was late already.
1340  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 19, 2023, 09:27:56 AM
There is an opinion that the more money you spend, the more you get in return, it is interesting to find out who really works in this direction. I spend enough money, but I have a fixed income, therefore I will not be able to get more. I don't have rich relatives, and I don't expect an inheritance either. I want to get rich, not to deny myself, but I have to save on everything. Who really faced big expenses and received even more? How does it work, maybe I don't understand the essence of it correctly?
But it also matters where you spend your money or what kind of investment do you choose. Capital is very important when investing and I agree with it saying more capital, more possible profit but if you put into an investment that you don't have any idea how it works, believe me or not, it can empty your wallet as well and lose your money. Capital would be a big factor but also, we need to plan it well and make sure that we really understand what we are doing.
