1341  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I lost my btc after chipmixer was taken over on: April 26, 2023, 01:10:46 PM
If you can provide all the documents and very good reasons why you need to use Mixer then go proceed to present your case,
I'd discourage OP if he wants to do this, regardless of how much BTC he lost. The time and money spent to get his money back is probably not worth the hassle. Just move on OP, and learn from this to never share your private key with others, even if they are famous/reputable in the community. Some services even straight-up exit scammed you when they believe they are being threatened or they no longer make profits. It takes a single take-down notice or insolvency notice to lose all of your money, better store all of your crypto in a secure wallet next time. At the end of the day, this is one of those risks that you need to accept if you used a service that works like Chipmixer.
1342  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin Twitter account hacked, $22k lost on: April 26, 2023, 12:46:25 PM
So how exactly people have lost those 22k? With famous "Elon Musk donation" scam, that was and still popular in YouTube? It is unbelievable how people still got caught for that. Of course that is due to greed, but KuCoin and Twitter are also responsible for letting that happen.
According to some news, when the hacker was in control of the Kucoin account they tweeted some phishing websites. So it is safe to assume some users assume it was a legit one, connect their hot wallet to it, and then they lost their funds. I can't verify it myself, but there have been many similar phishing scams in the past, so it is not unlikely. People should've learned by now to never connect their account/wallet to some shady website even if it was posted by a famous account.

1344  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Intel Discontinues Bitcoin Mining Chip Series on: April 26, 2023, 12:19:52 PM
as for intel's cost cutting measures, it's not entirely clear what specifically they are referring to. However, it's worth noting that Intel has faced increasing competition from rivals such as AMD and Nvidia in recent years, and has been working to streamline its operation and reduce the costs in order to remain competitive.
Are they doing massive layoffs like other companies out there? As far as I know, while they're not doing great they still have decent capital, not as bad as AMD when they were close to bankruptcy. Their investment to open a new fab is probably taking the majority of their spending so experimental products being stopped is understandable though.

Intel's decision may be due to increased operating costs and the loss of popularity of Bitcoin mining.
I'm not sure how mining popularity is decreasing with the increase in global hash rate though. At the very least, it is not surprising if big farms are still buying and building new farms to mine Bitcoin. As for individuals or small miners, they are probably not the target for this product in the first place. CMIIW.
1345  Economy / Economics / Re: Stablecoins to face new restrictions in Japan on: April 25, 2023, 02:14:09 PM
The government and the big banks of the conservative Japan want to have the monopoly of the money in their society and as a consequence, Tether and other stable coins have no place in their future model of economy. I must say I did not expect it from Japan. Let us see what happens next, I doubt they would do the same to Bitcoin, by the way.
I mean it should be expected. Stablecoins standing are shaky right now, we've seen many depeggings from various currencies and it allows the government to play a more central role to prevent it in the name of certainty. I doubt they'd explicitly remove other stablecoins as long as they can still control them to some extent, but it is clear that they'd prefer stablecoins that they can control just like what happens with fiat. Whether you want to rely on the government or a third party that has a sketchy background, using stablecoins to store your wealth will always be risky in the end.
1346  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How to close a crypto exchange easily on: April 25, 2023, 01:44:29 PM
Well one by one exchanges that have licensed in the US start to close their business, I think the regulation there was pretty tight and SEC seems bombarded the US crypto world. are the Binance could be the next??
It has a high chance to happen. That being said, with their capital and money, I doubt Binance will be in trouble unless something terrible happened. They can pay the fine and then stop serving US customers, although I doubt they'd do that without any reluctance. I bet they'd reverse that decision if the opportunity arise as quickly as possible.
back to the tittle of the topic Im also curios how to close a crypto account I think when the company start to fall apart or bankrupt they should noot to keep the user data right?
Ideally, that should be the case, but I wouldn't be surprised if they kept some data and sell or send them to some agencies or other companies. They'd not do it publicly of course, why would they do that if they can get in trouble later? If you don't want to risk it, the only choice is to never use them in the first place. CMIIW.
1347  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Need a trust Site Cloud Mining on: April 25, 2023, 11:53:14 AM
I am not sure what exactly they mean by static revenue as I see a huge difference in both of these plans and they both are sold out as of now.
It is just a prediction based on previous historical data if their claim is to be trusted[1]. Basically just a number for promotional material. Don't use them to predict your earnings. Not really surprising in my opinion. If they claim it is a guaranteed reward I'd be worried they're running a ponzi instead.

That being said, I'd advise OP to think twice before you use your coins and lock them on a third-party platform where you can't even see their daily operation. Who knows, maybe they are not mining and are using your funds to do insider trading or something similar. Even if they do mine, they'll always earn the bigger share while you risk a lot of your coins.

1348  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why dont BTC hardware manu re release old equip with smaller node. EDIT: heatbit on: April 25, 2023, 11:46:58 AM
500$ for full version and 249$ for shared version.
USE HEAT50 coupon to avail more discount. Shipping in Q4 2023. First come first serve. This was supposed to expire yestarday but it looks like they reset the timer again. THeir twitter page states it was accounced on April 7.
Don't forget the catch that you will share your earnings (if any) with them if you choose the lowest version. I'm not sure how profitable it will be in the end. Btw, this product has been discussed before on this board, you can check it here[1]. Personally, I'm not sold on the idea, so time will tell whether it will be efficient and allows you to earn Bitcoin as effectively as miners or not.

1349  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need marketplace on: April 25, 2023, 11:13:32 AM
Since you're not looking to build your own marketplace, moving this to Service Discussion might be a good idea. I've tried looking through Google and it seems like the majority of them are limited to Bitcoin only. What alternatives you've tried before? I also suggest doing P2P with an escrow on this forum if your problem is the platform fee, although your trade process might be a bit slower.
1350  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Mobile Banking Hanya untuk cek saldo?, ya Explorer aja. on: April 24, 2023, 01:09:05 PM

1352  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Bagikan wawasan & pengalaman kalian terkait penipuan jenis altcoin/crypto on: April 24, 2023, 12:22:04 PM
1353  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Bitcoin Conference 2023 on: April 24, 2023, 11:15:07 AM
Tapi jujur aja ngeri lihat harga tiketnya gan.
1354  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [INFO] Informasi Phishing, Malware, Virus Dst (WAJIB BACA) on: April 24, 2023, 10:52:41 AM

1355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Institutional holder paying their debts from BTC share - doesnt affect prices on: April 21, 2023, 12:47:21 PM
Well, we can probably trust this a little bit if they share when they sell their BTC and how they do that. Some traders note that whenever there is a PR of MicroStrategy buying some Bitcoins, the price of BTC decrease in the next hours or so. Based on this fact, we can easily conclude that they can influence the market to some extent by releasing 'positive' news when they plan to sell their stash. But I wouldn't be surprised if they offload the majority of their BTC through OTC markets, hence why it doesn't get reflected on the retail spot market. It would be stupid if they dump large holdings that can easily influence the market and lower their repayment value.

Kinda weird how they call their holding BTC tokens though. Either it is a mistake, or a deliberate choice to confuse some readers.
1356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: I just got an android on: April 21, 2023, 12:01:53 PM
Blue Wallet does not seem to be included in the list recommended by the bitcoin.org site either on Android or on iOS.
AFAIK the last update on the wallet lists happened 6 months ago, which was an update to the Electrum wallet description. So they probably don't have the time to update/add new ones that fill the criteria[1], or the developer of the said wallet has not yet opened an issue for that. CMIIW.

1357  Economy / Economics / Re: COIN says regulate but have a rulebook - can help run Business or we leave US! on: April 21, 2023, 11:48:44 AM
Another aspect that I find confusing is how the SEC approved Coinbase's IPO two years ago, yet they seem to be giving them a hard time now. I believe Coinbase's business hasn't changed significantly within those two years, so it's quite puzzling.
There has been some discussion about this on social media, and the majority of those who agree with Gensler more or less stated that the interpretation of the law change depending on who holds power. Basically, there is a certainty that any approval from SEC in the past years will hold up now since apparently if there is a new head, then the rules need to follow him. It's kinda wack if that's true, no business would risk dealing with them since it doesn't matter if they follow the law or not if they can get sued in the future due to breaking 'security laws' in the past.
1358  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: LondonLink - Would you invest in it? on: April 21, 2023, 10:44:44 AM
Their investor is anonymous by seeing your screenshot and it could be ome of their team.
Does Seedrs even allow that to happen? Kinda counterproductive if they decide to invest in their own projects with such a large amount if they just want to scam people though. While it is not impossible, I'd rather believe they are not that stupid just to seek a hundred euros for extra funding.

And to be honest i never hears their company before if they operate so long ago there is must be popular by now right???
To be fair it is not impossible if you're not their target audience, especially if their operation is limited to one or two regions.
1359  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if BTC won't see ATH again? on: April 21, 2023, 10:27:19 AM
So, let's collect here the reasons why there will be ATH for BTC.
Name one (at least) reason, please.
Isn't this contradictory to your first paragraph? Let's just say that there will be no ATH and the price will fluctuate between 15k and 40k as you mentioned above, what is wrong with that? You can still use Bitcoin as usual. You can trade, DCA, and make profits through other means other than chasing new heights if that's what you're worried about. It's not like the coins become worthless if it doesn't make new ATH every 4 years or so.

That being said, as long as fiat inflation is still happening (which means a decrease in purchasing power), you can rest assured that assets like Bitcoin will keep going strong.
1360  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Use ledger nano s with android device on: April 20, 2023, 01:33:09 PM
i tried doing it with the otg cable but it was not recognized by my phone.
Does this mean you tried to connect it to the Ledger Live app and failed? The process is quite straightforward as long as you use a wallet that supports a hardware wallet connection and a phone with Android 8+ (that's what is stated on the Ledger website, never tried it to verify myself for a lower Android version). For example, here's the official guide to connect your HW to the Ledger Live app[1]. The steps should be similar if you use other wallets app. CMIIW.
