1381  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which Trading Books Have You Read, Have They Helped You? on: November 08, 2016, 01:00:53 PM
i have never read any books about trading and i do strongly believe that reading a book is not going to help you become successful in trading.

you only need two things that you can only get one of them from books: basic knowledge about how to trade and terminology like what bid, ask, orderbook means and also the most important part is experience and information!
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: zcash soon 0.2 btc! on: November 08, 2016, 12:55:48 PM
every couple of months is a new coin that comes out and people start calling it a "good" project and even sometimes they go as far as saying it will replace bitcoin. those who have been around for a while know what i mean.

and every single one of them bite the dust after a short period of glory. i see no difference here either.

the only thing that changes is the size of the pocket of the pumpers which gets bigger and bigger so they can pump the coins to higher prices!
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the difference between game and gamble? on: November 08, 2016, 12:51:11 PM
The difference is exist and obvious by my opinion. I am just surprised to hear that there is no difference from some people.
In gambling you make a bet, mostly it's money and you play with the interest to win more money that you beted, In ordinary game you play just for fun, cause you like such games, you don't expect any big prise besides to get the higher level or new weapon or something like that.

the point of view from every people is different and its fine to be discuss as long as we can receive other people opinion.

game and gamble is related and connected for two people or more and with money involve, there is a big different between game and gamble. first we want to play a game, but with money involve, its become a gambling games and we risk some amount of money.

it really is not difference in the opinions.
i feel like most comments on this topic are saying the same thing and i am not talking about spamming the same, but they disagree with each other while saying the same thing.
you can call it game or gamble or blah blah but what is defining each of these are the same.

a gamble is something that has risk and money in it, and it is that simple to define it. now you can call it game but it is still the same meaning.
1384  Economy / Economics / Re: possible government regulations? on: November 08, 2016, 12:46:06 PM
In my opinion i do not like bitcoin to be under by government because i cannot enjoy the small transaction fees and also the posibility to make the price stable to limit the users profits/income.
Don't worry  pal,  it wont  happen anytime soon  that  government would able to  control  bitcoin hence  as we all  know  bitcoin cant be  controlled  by anybody  because  its a  decentralized  digital currency  no matter what they  do they cant  impose  taxes  on it  which  means   these assumptions are  imposibble to happen though, if  its  implemented I think would really takes  time   because  there are  lots of things to  consider first  before this   regulations would  be effective.

regulation =/= controlling bitcoin
of course they can not control bitcoin, bitcoin is decentralized and peer to peer. but they can control the businesses though. and also they can control the customers.

besides i don't know why everybody is so afraid or even against regulations. aren't we all paying taxes right now when we purchase stuff from a supermarket for example or pay the bills?
the only difference would be the fact that your supermarket may feel safer in accepting bitcoin if it is regulated.
1385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does trump or hillary winning affect the Bitcoin industry? on: November 08, 2016, 12:41:33 PM
With American Elections coming to a end, whoever wins, will Bitcoin world be affected or not? I mean can the price suddenly shoot up or down. Or they put any kind of restraints or start accepting it for local use? Could Bitcoin benefit or will it be at a disadvantage

anything is possible and price can go in either way and then come back to its normal speed and normal state because US is only one country among others who are using bitcoin!

but how i see this is that they usually don't change their stance by that much even if one of them said something for bitcoin and the other said something against it, it really doesn't mean things will be that much different with either of them winning.
1386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do Gamblers Really Win? on: November 08, 2016, 12:31:18 PM
you can't really give any statistics on that because gambling is not limited to only one or two types of games and there is a wide variety of them available that we can only see a very small part of it online with bitcoin gambling sites.

on the other hand, it depends on the game. for example in a dice game gamblers surely have a bigger loss counts than wins because of the house edge. but in other games like sports betting if you know your games you can have a much better statistics hence a much higher win rate percentage.
1387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling and local laws on: November 08, 2016, 12:27:19 PM
I was just thinking about the people, signing up for online gambling without knowing the consequences of their actions. In many countries, online gambling are not allowed.

being legal or not is for the owners mostly. in other words you can't live in one of these countries that have a law against online gambling and run a gambling site.

for users it is not so bad, the chances of law asking you why you were gambling online is low and the worst case scenario is a warning sent to you by your internet provider.

Quote
So even if you win the $$JackPot$$ at these Bitcoin Casinos online, you would not be allowed to withdraw that money, legally into fiat.

it is bitcoin, you withdraw bitcoin and then sell that bitcoin to fiat. if you are worried you can even run it through a mixer.

Quote
A lot of these casinos knows this, but they still accept your bets. They do not have to pay you, if you signed up with their service.

So how many people know their laws and what is allowed in your country regarding online gambling?

all that said, it is better to know the rules in your country before doing anything money related and use all the precautions.
1388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could there be a law on stolen bitcoins? on: November 08, 2016, 12:22:57 PM
sadly this depends on the country that you live in!

this may sound a bit strange but it is true, in some countries they may even tell you that you shouldn't have used bitcoin in first place and prosecute yourself because of using bitcoin in first place.
1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how much amount of bet you prefer? on: November 06, 2016, 02:24:36 PM
how much amount of bet you prefer?

it depends on the game Cheesy
in dice games 90% of the time i am making 1 satoshi bets and that is mainly because i have a smaller bankroll and i am using martingale method and i want to increase my chance of winning rather than busing out.

but in games like poker or sports bet i am willing to go higher and that depends on how much confidence i have that game.

Thanks to all,
we improve our game using your advice.
welcome, friends!

i think you should offer all the possible amounts because people have different tastes and may prefer different amounts.
1390  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic sellers got flushed fast on: November 06, 2016, 02:14:03 PM
I feel bad for all the noobs that panic selled at the controlled dump of the other day with the china ban news. Its obvious whales wanted to get more cheap btc and shaked all the idiots out with panic, now we are back to 700+ and looking strong. Hold.

You think those BTC1 or BTC2 dumped by the noobs will ever create panic or let's say BTC10 overall has been sold by those noobs? You think you will just watched the price decrease and not to secure profits? What if they able to buy at $600 and seeing the price gradually decrease when it reached around $750, they will do nothing and just allow it?

Look at the price range right now we are playing. It's established a good support at $700 which is a good news to consider since we can treat this range as low in the future. Patience and relax, we will set to the moon soon.

you would be a fool to think whales are not dumping to decrease the price but also there is much more noobs (better term is weak hands) in bitcoin which total to a lot bigger number than 10BTC and they don't initiate it.

there are stages when the whales couple spreading FUD with dumping at the same time to create the panic for idiots then go on exchanges and sell and immediately open a buy order lower to buy from those idiots then the game begins where they dump and buy until it is at a bottom and then start only buying. you can see this on a chart when there is a big jump back up again.

1391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla's building a solar roof , It can be a good days for bitcoin miners? on: November 06, 2016, 02:03:23 PM
Solar electricity - even if it is generated by larger power plants - is more expensive than conventionally generated electricity by a significant order of magnitude.

generation of electricity using solar is actually cheaper than any other method, maybe competing with using wind method but nothing else. you are thinking about the initial cost of buying the panels not generating electricity. and we are moving towards better (more efficient) panels with less cost these days.

1392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in Gambling Sites on: November 06, 2016, 01:55:31 PM
Investing in gambling sites generally have REALLY low profit. Most of them pay you out by percentage that is gained with your money (this depends from casino to casino). If you have large amount to invest and you found safe site that you can trust with all that money then by all means its better than playing on sites Smiley

this is because of two things:

1) gambling is not always profitable for both sides which means sometimes house loses also which makes the profit for the investors lower too.

2) is the fact that many people are investing in casinos these days and some of them are investing big amounts. so a small amount like 0.5-1 bitcoin is lost in the see of investment and you get a small share of the profit which is being divided among so many people.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ANY STRATEGY TO WIN IN GAMBLING? on: November 06, 2016, 01:50:34 PM
~snip~
Simple, all you need just $50 and YOLO it on 90% chance/1.1x multiplier, and BOOM!, you got that $5 profit if you won. Martinshit never works no matter how big your money. And you must know if there isn't any strategy in gambling.

good strategy but I can lost the $50 anytime.
give me link to yolo please.

YOLO: You Live Only Once

and it is a bad strategy because as you already said, there is a possibility even so small that you may lose that $50 and your loss will be huge against the amount you could win.

if you are looking for a better winning chance you should try different games. games that you may be good at because you have some skills or knowledge about like betting on sports.
1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Alts - comparing USD vs BTC? on: November 05, 2016, 03:24:54 PM
Noob to trading here...don't worry starting really small.

Maybe a dumb question, but do people looking at alt coins compare them to USD?  I mean you can't directly cash out into USD (except maybe ETH and a couple of others?)...so basically you're always at the mercy the way BTC is moving.  USD is more stable and you can get a true sense of how the alt coin is moving, but is that essentially irrelevant?

So in general do people only look at the alt coin to BTC?  It puts another layer of challenge with how volatile BTC can be at times.

only the popular altcoins which will be listed on certain exchanges will be traded against both bitcoin and USD. these exchanges are those top exchanges that have BTC/USD pair.

and about the price, when these altcoins are traded with bot bitcoin and USD there will be a connected (one way) between bitcoin price and their price which will in turn go down if bitcoin goes up and vice versa.

but other should not be affected by bitcoin price since there is no USD relations but what happens is that they are affected because people will stop trading these coins and the demand drops so price goes down.
1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌟Just seen someone win $42,000 in btc on bitvest.🌟 on: November 05, 2016, 03:17:11 PM
So on bitvest with in 12 hours or so max betting and won over 60 btc.
He was down a bit of btc then turned it into +60 profit.

this is just dumb luck and i never trust these super high bets because it is hard for me to believe that someone is willing to risk
a couple of thousands of dollars on a pure luck game.

Quote
My question to you "Can a person beat the edge with a large enough bank roll?"

i think it is possible. although i have never tested this but i believe that with a strategy like martingale if you start from a very small bet size and have a very huge bankroll you can win and beat the house.
1396  Economy / Gambling / Re: losing from freebitco.in on: November 05, 2016, 03:11:27 PM
I was active on this site for a while, I didn`t make 50 mbtc from their faucet, it`s more like 5 mbtc, and I lost it also on their auto betting. They have many active users there, I saw thread that someone hit 10 000 on their faucet and get more then 0.3 btc, I still didn`t hear that someone one their lottery, prize is very pretty and it goes to more then 2 btc for first place.
I don`t go there anymore, I saw their new reward system but I can`t say I like it. Good luck to others who think they can make something there, I tried and failed.

Their system is provably fair - as i know. They officilay say that house edge is between 3% and 5%. Everyone can play in other games if he want. Freebitco.in have very good opinion in Bitcoinworld, an till now nobody make any accussatin!
I wonder why they have such a high house edge, just from checking on this forum, I know that a lot of people just never deposit there because of that house edge.

Is it just so they can fund the people playing with the faucet claims, because advertising on their site doesn't bring in enough?

In any case, I think a site like Crypto-Games does it better, they have a much bigger faucet claim (plus the ability to level up), no advertising and a really low house edge under 1%

They don't want people to deposit money to their site as long as people who claim their money and lose back to the site then they will have a good profit at the end. They should be making a good profit from lottery system and with this game. If you want to gamble then should look for the site specially designed for gambling.

actually i think the opposite is true. they want people to invest in their site and lose. they no longer make enough money through just advertising ever since Google banned their account because it was in violation of their ToS.

why do you think there is all these different kinds of ways to spend bitcoin? the multiplier, the lottery, the points to buy gift cards,... and on top of that the huge house edge of 5% ensure their house always winning.
1397  Economy / Speculation / Re: $700 HIT ^^ TARGET 900-1100 on: November 05, 2016, 03:07:14 PM
Now what price is again below 700 again
what is now again this rumor about Chinese btc mining

lol, if you ant to call $699 as below 700 again then yes it is below 700 again never mind it is above the last price which was $610

The price of btc is holding up well.  Long term trend is still up.  Target is beyond 1000.  Maybe hold and only spend if I need essentials like toilet paper or food.

technically the money that you invest in bitcoin is your investment and you shouldn't be needing it for your essentials in the first place.

also the target of $1000 is a bit too soon. first lets hit $800 which i believe will take at least 2-3 more months.
1398  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think will be a best time to buy bitcoin? on: November 05, 2016, 03:00:27 PM
When do you think will be a best time to buy bitcoin and when is the best time to keep bitcoin first before selling?

this topic belongs to speculation board. and with bitcoin everyone has their own opinion and there is always some FUD flying around some place.

for now, i think the best time to buy is when there is a dip. for example the recent price drop to 670 was a good chance to buy and then you can sell on 710 or keep some and sell only for your initial investment and then buy back with it again to have more bitcoin leftover.
1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best coin to buy on polo now? on: November 04, 2016, 01:08:37 PM
Poloniex is my only trading platform.at present all the altcoins in polo are experiencing a huge correction and probably are trading at their 52 week low due to the bitcoin rally.is it the correct time to double the investment to maximize the returns ?what is the best portfolio for 4btc investment?

most of the coins are good to buy right now because they all had a big dip one way or another. all these coins must come back up now. and some of them had already started doing so.

but i particularly have my eyes on Litecoin, Monero and ETH + ETC
1400  Other / Archival / Re: Nice dip to buy more cheap BTC on: November 04, 2016, 01:02:12 PM
I don't think it is a good time to buy BTC now, as China is the biggest market of BTC, so the price might drop even further if china user are dumping hard.

you should have bought before the rise back in the days of cheaper bitcoin price of $600 and not now.

right now you only take risks and try to find the dips to buy in like the latest dip below 700 level and then sell above it to do it again and again as a day trader, if you are not a day trader then there is no need to ask buy and hold!
