Yes. Transactions up to 400 bytes can be accelerated for free. If it doesn't, you will redirected to a Coinpayments page to pay for the service.

Do you mean a stake address to provide the ownership over your account if anything happens? Just choose any address you have control - or generate a vanity one (what most people do) -, and post it in this thread[1]. Then, you need it, just sign any message with your staked address to prove that the message it's coming from the real you. [1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0Yeah, I know that topic. All the searches of "How to stake a bitcoin address" lead me to that thread, which is only useful once you know how to do it. Anyways, you got any recommendations on what to use to sign a message and where to generate a vanity address? Also, I sign my message with the private key, right? And I give my public key? Thanks for your help ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Regards, Trump If you want a vanity address, use VanityGen[1]. How to generate your vanity addresss: 1. Download the binaries ( https://github.com/downloads/samr7/vanitygen/vanitygen-0.22-win.zip);2. Extract it in a folder, open the Command Line (cmd) in the folder and run "vanitygen.exe -v 1YOURPREFIX"; 3. When it's over, it will print all the information you need, including the full address and private key. How to sign the message (I suggest you to use Electrum): 1. Create a new wallet and select Standard Wallet -> Use public or private keys -> Paste your vanity address private key. You have imported your vanity address! 2. When you need to sign a message, go to Tools -> Sign/verify Message. 3. Write your message in the "Message" field and paste your Vanity Address in the "Address" field. Click "Sign". 4. Now copy the text that will appear in the "Signature" field. Use this format when you want to post your signed message: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftalkimg.com%2Fimages%2F2023%2F05%2F14%2Fblob630db8be03cf84f2.png&t=663&c=lPltN3_Eq1tvfw) Result: -----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hello!
How are you? -----BEGIN SIGNATURE----- 1NinjabXd5znM5zgTcmxDVzH4w3nbaY16L HGPaNpDQ+ct4RIsjC1PiEhHHkz2Rhotc6NytawzVTlP6Ywq4bxF1cCTcBFwRS1hUXeguYDN5QQ+qurfFFE5ZgiU= -----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE----- This thread details the same procces: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0#post_electrum198[1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0

If you have the money and patience, I would suggest you to go with the new Trezor T. It's estimated to ship in January 2018 and it costs €149. [1] https://preorder.trezor.io/

Can you manually try to change the the Electron Cash server? Not sure if that's possible, but since it's a Electrum fork there should be a option under Tools -> Network. Or just try to create a new wallet file and restore it with your seed. If the transactions is already confirmed, the coins are there but your wallet "don't know about that".

OP, you should have at least downloaded the source code of the "BTG wallet" and opened locally. You can find it in the bottom left part of the page.
What wallet were you using to keep your 5 BTC?
If you had read the thread: [...] when I checked my blockchain.info wallet back [...]
is dangerous to use private keys for myetherwallet also?
No. Just don't fall for any phishing versions of the MEW wallet.

I don't fully understand how two factor authentication works.
If I choose 2FA using google authentication, then does that mean tit will send me a passcode on my google authentication app on my phone (which I haven't downloaded yet).
Does it tie to the google account associated with my gmail address on file with Kraken automatically?
Keep in mind that I log in with my desktop.
I wouldn't recommend you to use Google Authenticator since you can't easily backup your accounts with it and it's not tied to your gmail account. This means that if you lose your phone and you haven't saved the 2FA secret code, your 2FA accounts are gone. I suggest you to use a open source app like andOTP (the one I'm using) that allows you to backup your 2FA accounts. Basically, when you want to login to your account, you will need to get your 2FA code from your phone and use it as an "additional password" (which is always different from time to time and it's only valid for one login session). This makes it very hard to lose your account to hackers, since they would need to breach your PC and phone at the same time.

Thanks ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Hmm, the last point got me thinking, though… The coins are in a wallet on an airgapped computer, so I would have to either expose the key regardless, or install electron cash on that computer… Sigh. Bitcoin can bw hard sometimes. Talk about mass adoption… You don't need to expose your keys. Electron Cash is a Electrum fork, so they both work exactly the same way. I guess that you can download the wallet, move it to a flashdrive and install in your airgapped computer. Then just do what you would do with any Bitcoin transaction: create a raw transaction, move it to the offline pc, sign it and broadcast it with your online pc.

"where even a $100 trade can be quite significant so they are willing to spend the time"
Isn't this somehow true? $100 may not be too much in first world countries such as the USA and most part of the rich countries from the Europe. But there are many "poor" countries where $100 can make a big difference in many people's life. That's why there are many people literally living from signature campaigns in this forum. If they are writing this, maybe it's because there are many scam cases coming from those low developed countries.

That's not a valid address. Are you sure that you aren't missing anything? I also have a Bitkey setup and all of my addresses are valid.
Can you try to go to the Addresses tab (View -> Show Addresses), right click a random address, select "Copy Address" and try moving your coins to it?

Don't be dense. There won't be a come back. The network is basically dead already. Hundreds of thousands of transactions are not getting confirmed, people are waiting for their transactions for days without any idea when or IF they are ever going to be confirmed, even though they paid max fees.
Yesterday and today, Bitcoin only had 30% of its original hash from a few days ago due to BCH being more profitable for ~2 days. Today I checked bitaps.com and saw that multiple times we had a difference of 1 hour between each block instead of the normal 10-15 minutes. This plus all the people leaving bitcoin due to the cancellation of segwit2x made that only a few transactions got cleared, resulting in a gigantic accumulation of unconfirmed transactions. Now that Bitcoin Cash difficulty has rised 400%, miners are coming back to Bitcoin and we are already down +40k unconfirmed transactions in a few hours (from 180k to 140k). I believe that in a couple of days we should be back in the track.

Helix is legit. But IMO their fees could be lower. They work exactly as described in their website. You send 1 tainted Bitcoin, and receive 1 clean Bitcoin minus fees to a different address, breaking the connection between the first address - and from where did the coins came from - and the final address. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fbitcoinist.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2017%2F06%2Fbitcoin-mixier.jpg&t=663&c=-2Eba26K2s0vgw)
You can try out ChipMixer - which is different from every other mixer in the market. They have a tor version and they don't require you to pay fees. You pay what you want. You can read how they work in the ANN thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1935098.0Tor link: http://chipmixerwzxtzbw.onion/

In Electrum:
6. From your "old" BTC wallet, send all your BTC to the receive address from the new wallet.
Hi, sorry to revive this slightly old topic, just regarding step 6. is this transfer fee-free? Many thanks! It's a normal on-chain transaction after all, so it requires a fee.

This is happening due to the huge backlog of unconfirmed transactions and hashrate swing between BTC and BCH we are experiencing (hashrate ratio is Bitcoin Cash 70%:30% Bitcoin). There are fewer blocks being found in the BTC chain and more transactions. Too much unconfirmed transactions and full blocks = higher fees. That's not Mycelium's fault. According to Blockchain, we have almost 170k unconfirmed transactions in the mempool. Meanwhile, the fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 950 satoshis/byte[1] - which is pretty sad. You either need to pay an astronomical fee for fast confirmation or wait some time before seeing your transactions coming through. The mempool right now: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftalkimg.com%2Fimages%2F2023%2F05%2F14%2Fblob9a778cccf9bd2e45.png&t=663&c=-jUXAyccJftJ4w) [1] https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

I doubt that Yobit will help you with their almost inexistent support who only care about profting with shitcoins. Anyways, if you want to try something, send them a support ticket. They are literally the only ones who can help you. [1] https://yobit.net/en/support/
