I'd stay away from javascript generated private keys.
There were many instances in the past where javascript had weak random number generation system. I would not risk any money in a javascript based system.
Hm.. didn't knew that. But I also don't know any other software that allows me to do that. You probably have to use their software to create the spending transaction. An input that spends any coins sent to that address would be of the form Thank you for the reply. I actually just found this reddit comment[1] teaching how to do that using coinbin. I'm quoting it here for future references. [1] https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3yoa47/you_can_now_create_op_hodl_address_to_lock_your/cyfczjq/

As I see everyone is talking only about electrum and jaxx.
I would not recommend anyone to use Jaxx. I just don't feel any confidence on using their wallet based on the amount of bugs and security issues still not fixed. I remember some time ago when a few users tried to restore the wallet with the backup seed and their coins went missing, just like it was another wallet. And for sure the easiest and the best way is to use QT wallet. Don't to have it fully sync. Just install the wallet, take the address and simply save the private key. This way anytime when you will want to get to your bitcoins just go to blockchain.info or any other platforms even electrum wallet.
So... a paper wallet? If you don't plan to spend soon, there is no reason to download a wallet. Just generate the private keys and print it.

Well I saw the recent additions to chip mixer and how they fused with gambling. I like the thought of the idea but I am not sure how it worked out. I feel like you guys are sending a message to your customers like “Hey anonymize your bitcoin and then gamble it away” It kind of doesn’t fit with your guy’s entire business idea. But hey, credit where credit is due, and I can see that even though you guys are pretty young, I can see how you guys are not just doing to be doing basic mixing but you guys are offering more functions to your mixing.
The gambling part is optional. And it's just an extra way of anonymizing your Bitcoins. Imagine if you want to mix BTC 0.5, gambled on the website and withdrew BTC 1.0; You sent an amount and received another totally different. That makes your mixing activities a lot more anonymous. From the ChipMixer FAQ: Why should I use bet/donate function? Betting and donate allows you to change possible output value. Even if blockchain analysis may assume you will receive permutation of chips, they cannot predict how much you've lost / won betting or how much you've donated. As with split / merge, you don't have to use it - existence of this option increases your privacy. https://chipmixer.com/faq

Hi everyone. I found this "Time Locked Address" on https://coinb.in/ and wanted to know how am I supposed to spend my funds after the date choosed before the creation of the address. So, after putting my public key on the first field and selected the date, I get an address to send the coins and a "Redeem Script". What should I do after that date to be able to get my coins back? New Time Locked Address on Coinbin: https://coinb.in/#newTimeLocked

I agree with this. Most likely, this guy just learned about Bitcoin and is simply testing his wallet/transactions to figure out how it works. With that said, it is still an odd and strange occurrence. Especially considering transaction fees... wouldn't this guy be paying quite a bit in fees if he is randomly sending out 1 Satoshi to lots of people?
I believe you should probably read the whole thread first before expressing your opinion A few members - including myself - already found out what is this guy probably doing. Not likely. From the transaction you can see that he sent 0.00000001 to 750 different addresses. Maybe trying to spam the block/mempool? I'm not sure if that's how this works.
Edit: This is the address doing that "1SochiWwFFySPjQoi2biVftXn8NRPCSQC". And that's not the first time he does that. Check the address on any explorer and see for yourself the amount of transactions with +700 outputs.
I also found quotations to this same addresses from 2014 where this person was doing the same thing Thread from 2014:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=459845.0;all
P.s: No reasons to continue replying to this thread with the same info over and over again. OP should lock the thread.

When people hold bitcoin, they hope that someday the price will rise several fold. But of course this requires extra patience. That's the most sensible reason in my knowledge.
This is obvious. But what is the problem in selling on the ATH, knowing that the price is in tendency to fall? Sell high and buy even more low. I've done that and got 10% more BTC than I had a few weeks ago. Never stop trying to increase the size of your Bitcoin wallet.

Any offline wallet that let you have full control over your private keys. I suggest you to use Electrum. It's simple, lightweight and safe. Don't (ever) store your coins in a web wallet or exchange like Coinbase, Poloniex, etc...

Yes, you need to avoid Yobit. But not because of some trolls in the chat trying to bait newbies on pumping some shitcoins. But because they are very shady and had a lot of issues in the past.
People who fall for this kind of fake pumps shouldn't be playing the trader. Most of them are greedy, and think they can profit 50% per day just by buying a shitcoin and selling it in the same day. This without doing ANY kind of research, but only listening to a bunch of randoms in the chat.
I started reading your text and thought you were complaining because you bought one of those shitcoins and got "scammed". I'm glad you weren't that dumb.

Yes.
You just need to import your Bitcoin private key or seed phrase in another wallet and you are good to go.

Are you scamming? You seem a bit irate. ROFL. I'm irate because someone is trying to scam people and looks like I'm the only one researching a bit before sharing a photoshopped picture with the intent of scamming people. And even after posting proofs, this guy above seems to lack the ability to read. No wonder someone got 600k in 3 days with the fake MEW pishing scam. People are just dumb. I'm done with you guys.

The original picture was posted by @CryptoEthan on twitter. He claimed the guy from the picture is his real-life friend. Later he deleted the tweet: "Sorry all, I was asked to delete the tweet for employer reasons." - https://twitter.com/CryptoEthan/status/885224174431744001But he keeped this tweet with the address: https://twitter.com/CryptoEthan/status/885209200825073665The one you are sharing and a lot of newbies will start sharing is from a scammer who PHOTOSHOPPED his own address on the original picture. ORIGINAL ADDRESS FROM THE GUY WITH THE SIGN: 1GwtZF9QFKWNqCRHLx1Y9adGcrhQSUnNfY (he already got more than 4 BTC) ORIGINAL PICTURE:

Which altcoin is that? You could see if the coin you want it's listed on WalletGenerator.net since they support 129 altcoins.
|
|
|
Unfortunally no. Poloniex support is shit and this is not the first time someone comes here complaining about having their withdraw pending for more than 1 week, plus the lack of support. I believe you will get your coins, but it may take some time and there is really nothing you can do about that.
