141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RandomX Benchmarks! https://randomx.monerobenchmarks.info on: November 13, 2019, 08:48:23 PM
Right now my i7 3930k making 300h/s on cryptonightR and it values as 0.10$ for a day consuming 130w .
if im not wrong it will pay me about 0.25$ with randomx.im sure it will pay this for 2-3 days then after it will be again like 0.10$.All people waiting something huge but results becomes same at the end of the road.cryptonight always paid for cpu very little.so dont be sooo exited.

It's not that cryptonight paid so little for CPU.
It's a fact that there are many more CPUs active at the moment rather than GPUs.
So, there will be a lot more CPUs mining RandomX algorithm for Monero thus reducing profits drastically.
If it's profitable for people, they are going to mine and they will activate each and every bit of CPU power they have which is really good for decentralization but not for incentives.

This is what I have been saying all along. If you think you will profit from investing in 4-5 or even 10 Ryzen 3900x systems in preparation for the XMR RandomX fork, you will be sorely disappointed. Please learn from both the Loki and ArQMA networks....there are a lot of CPU hashpower out there. Your multiple 3900X systems isn't going to make you any profit worth investing on. You have been warned..
yes long term maybe you are right but its all about efficiency, a 3900x will do 12k or more of randomx for 130 watt

those older cpus will do 3k for 70 to 100 watt so you are talking 4x maybe power use, the 3900x will make momey for at least six months and probably pay for themselves, beyond that who knows but either way its a new cpu so you can probably sell it in a year and be green greeN
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gulden bringing CPU mining back with SIGMA on: November 08, 2019, 06:54:07 AM
Here are some figures for Gulden CPU mining:
Now mining 269 individual miners.
Minimal 182 miners found a block the last 24h
There are 581 Blocks mined the last 24H. So you can see the wealth is widely spread and not clustered to a dozen of miners.
see https://www.dactual.com/minedby.php

a manual for mining: https://medium.com/coinmonks/mining-gulden-d4fe8c690939

But even more interesting than mining is witnessing with Gulden

a manual for witnessing: https://medium.com/@aat.de.kwaasteniet/gulden-witnessing-163cb0eae289

witnessing u have to lock up your coins for 3 years to get the max of six percent yuck

its only good for the olds school gulden whales and probably devs

145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Mining : Getting Read for Fork Question on: November 05, 2019, 02:44:59 PM
Hey guys,

Does anyone know off hand... if I can set up all my CPUs to mine Monero NOW and if XMRIG / the pool will automatically detect the switch to RandomX ?

Or... do I need to sit beside my computers waiting on the switch to flip, haha!

I have 100+ smaller CPUs and 30+ quad CPU servers that I would need to flip over... so I am hoping for the easy solution.

a quad cpu barely gets over 1500 khs , honestly i think you will be just wasting power
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RandomX Benchmarks! https://randomx.monerobenchmarks.info on: November 05, 2019, 07:19:38 AM
Well Loki cant show anything. XMR alone will bring 100x times USD value in daily rewards. Loki and Wownero together are traded about 2k usd daily. Thats ridic low.

There will probably be a lot of coins following monero, probably more than ever before.
So the market will be so much bigger for bad actors to dilute.

Still could go either way....

PS: Epic Cash based on Randomx shows 1.3-1.4usd per day for 3900x. Dont know if it's accurate though as havent had time to try.

Meiby someone could test just for lulz Smiley

3900x are very profitable on CPU coins right now , close to 2-3 a day
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nervos CKB bringing back GPU Mining?! Dual Mine Ethereum and CKB | How To Mine on: November 04, 2019, 03:24:13 PM
1 cent per tooen , now sure how this will be profitable, even wheb eth launched they had .33 cents per token , not sure if it everc dpippee below that.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What will you mine with Vegas after monero going RandomX? on: November 04, 2019, 03:20:32 PM
hes not wrong, only reason im mining eth dual with ckb is to heat my garage
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gulden bringing CPU mining back with SIGMA on: November 02, 2019, 07:17:03 PM
I don't see miner. It's in wallet ?
I'm syncing for now ...

thats a problem with this coin you have to mine from your wallet

this article is late as hell actually lol , this is the final round of the test net contest , last 4 rounds were 6 7 8 and 9 mill lol typical  vosk reactive post . Most of test net contest coins have been mined lol

, btw hows loki doing thee days lol

the 2 biggest contest reward pools are still upcoming, but appreciate the needless and senseless hate.

and loki is doing much better than your bitcoin interest.

you have a point there lo
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RandomX Benchmarks! https://randomx.monerobenchmarks.info on: November 02, 2019, 07:13:52 PM
Makes no sense to me why anyone should be excited about coins moving to RandomX. The cost per added hashrate for RandomX is so much higher than that for a GPU mineable coin and if you think the network hashrate of a RandomX coin will be low, think again. Just take a look at the Loki network hashrate as an example of what's in store for all CPU mineable coins. It's 71 MH vs 11KH from a single Ryzen 3900X!! How many Ryzen 3900X do you need to make enough coins to ROI?

not sure what your issue is here, yeah the ryzen is a beast at random x , but its a beast at every other cpu algo out there anyways.  its 12 cores on a consumer chip basically we have never seen this type of power for non server builds.

i mean its expected it would destroy every cpu tuned algo out there, which random x is and it does, you can buy a
ryzen 3600 for 229 and get 6k on randomx , not sure what the issue is
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Ryzen hashrate? on: October 24, 2019, 07:07:19 PM
i got 3 3900x rigs and 1 3700x

i got some of the noctua coolers the huge sink dual fans at 1.3v or higer they cannot handle the heat to get above 13000h/s so i think you are right u need water cooling. anyone know of a good water cooler for my next build?

Evga two fan.    120mm 65c

Corsair two fan 140mm 58c

Look for sales .

The Corsair is impressive.

I use ram clocked to 2666 it does 3000 stock

Both builds use 32gb ram.

hmm thx i was told by micocenter reps a two fan liquid wonnt beat a two fan top of line noctua
they said u need a three fan but they cost like $250 no way.

i get 12500 on one of my 3900x boxes woth 84 temps tho with the $89 noct

Then again you get pump failures, leaking etc on water cooling. Then you gotta ask yourselfs are the extra 500h/s worth it.

its more about lower temps, i do 12300 but the temps are around 83 degrees

what ppl are still buying gpu hardware? lol

randomx rigs are a far better use of resources , or just buying crypto

WHEN DOES THIS MINING START!!!!

just mine loki on miner rocks i think , its using a randomx fork, ive been on it for the last month using it to tune my 4 rigs

156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MONERO adopts a new POW Algorithm to fight ASIC on: October 22, 2019, 05:21:22 AM
The last miner hardware which was released or used to mine XMR last algo wasn't an ASIC. I am pretty sure it was an FGPA and from what I've read it was also developed in private.

Only way the developers knew its existence is from some 3rd party researcher that noticed anamolies in some of the block data and he posted his findings on medium.

They probably kept it a secret because they didn't want the XMR dev to fork the algo earlier however they were caught anyways. This was for an FGPA but an ASIC would have too long of a timeline and cost to make it feasible for any algo that XMR uses.

One of the reason monero has been unable to be a gpu profitable coin, too many fpga's on it and those people can change fast to whatever xmr algo it is using and reason investors are not buying xmr anymore.

hopefully randomx slows the fpga crowd for six months at least

Did the pool the switcher uses pack up shop and shut down?

No, it's still in operation. What problem are you having?

I didn't receive any rewards and I haven't been able to look at the pool stats site.

I get it, but I actually get around 50% of what pool site says...it claims almost 6 coins in 24h for
my 42MHs hashrate, but I get 3 on average

I was finally able to log in and see miners stats page... All 0's for my almost 200 mhs.

Working fine for me, getting on average 20 coins per day with 230 mh/s (valued roughly 4 times more than i would have gotten mining ethereum).
dont you still mine etherum and just switch to ziliqua on AMD anyways
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: October 14, 2019, 12:17:32 AM
@Patrike I have MicroBT Whatsminer M20S problem - when i try to change pools or restart miner it doesnt react. API access is privileged, ssh unlocked. AM is trying to remove pools and change to selected but fails to do so.
I was recently investigating M20s with another user. The M20 and M21 miners are restricting external applications from making any operations like restart and pool changes - even when they state they have privileged API access. This is a limitation Whatsminer built in to their firmware for security reasons. I've been in contact with Whatsminer for this and I also have other users that reached out to them.

It turns out that they do have another firmware in the pipeline where they do allow these kind of operations. One of my users recently got this firmware by contacting the Whatsminer product support, but it turned out to still have some limitation so they are waiting on Whatsminer for another update.

I don't have a more detailed answer to this right now, but as soon Whatsminer release a firmware update where they allow pool changes and similar operations over their API - it will work with Awesome Miner as well.

can you please add sparkminer for CKB , trying to set it up now and it uses --server  and --wallet for user
