141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: Worldcup qualifiers - CAF. on: April 10, 2024, 11:04:07 PM
It seems the NFF are not going to break the tradition of employing foreign managers to head the Super Eagles. It is reported that the NFF are eyeing Herve Renar for the managerial job of the Super Eagles which means Finidi George was just used as a temporary solution and the NFF are clearly not considering him for the job even if he is doing well in that role.
That is just too bad because if we can't value our own, who will?

Congratulations to the Super Falcons for making qualification for the Paris Olympics after not being in the competition for sixteen years. The victory was not beautiful, but was enough for us to have our female football team representing us.

They are a strong team, and I believe they will do very well in the Olympics.

142  Economy / Economics / Re: Governments and their irrelevant projects just to steal public funds on: April 10, 2024, 10:41:17 PM
What would make a government to rebrand their traditional currencies just to edit some graphic designs with excessive amounts of money bills involved to execute such project that doe not mean to brings more values to the currency neither does it boost the economy level of the nation?
The government may be wrong on some decisions, but they are not wrong on all decisions, and as citizens criticizing them may be easy, but they are not always wrong. It is not an abnormal thing for the government to change the design on their currency, the problem becomes when it is now done more often.

Changing the currency can force people who have kept money hidden away to come out of hiding, or render the money invested in the production of counterfeit money in mass to be wasted. Government have their reasons that is not always made known to every citizen because it cannot be understood by every common citizen.
143  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Never assume things, always Validate on: April 10, 2024, 10:12:23 PM
In P2P trading, assuming that your funds are in your account simply because the buyer confirmed sending it, or you got a credit alert has stripped lots of people their precious coins.
Assumptions can also lead to real loses when you make investment based on assumptions. There are many altcoins that can be tempting to invest in based on the hype from friends and some other strangers on the internet, it will be a terrible mistake for you to make assumptions on a coin before investing because then the risk on your investments increases.

E get one popular talk that year for school, assumptions na the mama of fuck up.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you feel when you experience violence while gambling on: April 10, 2024, 04:08:15 PM
This idea gave me the impression that some people can be very dangerous as a result of lossing money while gambling And i aslo learnt My lessons today .
Violence is sometimes the reaction of an immature gambler who does not know how to control their feeling when they loose an amount of money that they cannot afford to loose, their last cash or money meant for a specific purpose. These kinds of people need to be avoided.

And If yes How do you feel or react At the situation? .
Gamble online or online visit big bet shops where they have good security.
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: April 10, 2024, 03:33:22 PM
I do hope Jota returns soon, he's the only offensive player in LFC that actually uses his head while playing and thinks a bit before passing/shooting.
Jota and Alexander are back in training. Klopp knows his hands on the title will slip away completely if he looses or draws any more games, so he will want Jota especially back to the team as a substitute first, before he makes a start as quickly as possible. He is a very good goal scorer and can be the difference in big games.

grassroots football is extremely tough here.  Grin
I can relate to this, and every time I think of it, it makes me appreciate more the medical attention that football players receive after an injury. We saw the extent of Luke Shaw's injury then, the broken bones

but he still recovered and was running around with that leg like nothing ever happened, shows the extent of advanced care they receive.

Good medical attention and care will fix your hurting toes Cheesy @Igebotz

Everybody casually winning a GW prize like it's nothing. Rruchi didn't even try, yet he won it. Well, there's still time for Lady luck to smile on me. Congratulations Rruchi man.
Thank you so much. Cheesy

After today's game, I  admit that @NotATether was right about Nunez not being an ideal forward in anybody's team. A pain to watch most times.
Cryptofrka was so positive and had so much faith in Nunez. Liverpool supporters must really miss Jota.

I also think that Liverpool were lucky as well to have gotten that penalty kick that took the game to 2-2 because in my opinion, Wan Bissaka did not touch Harvey Elliot, he simulated his fall. Why did the VAR officials not recheck to verify such an important decision? Liverpool got away with that.

147  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Remembering our parents and guardians: Would you rather? on: April 07, 2024, 09:32:44 PM
* Would you consider to live with your parents or guardian and grow your wealth or to go out there, live on your own terms and hope to make it despite the hardship?
Staying with parents and trying to build wealth can be a really good choice because you will be saved from the many expenses associated with staying alone for example feeding and accommodation which can be a big hindrance to saving.

It can also help to curtail the adoption of any habit that can put a hole in the pocket of a young person trying to get rich.

If your parents are financially comfortable, there is no need to hurry out of their home.

GW 32 winner is Rruchi man, congratulations, 1 mBTC free bet coming your way. De Bruyne captain was a master move if it was intentional. Not sure if you just forgot about your team since Areola and Trippier were in your first 11 for you but even that worked out ok since Pickford got you 8 points on the bench.
Wow! it was just luck I must say😅, I missed adjusting my team and it worked for me.

I am happy that I have the privilege of winning one round when the likes of the sheriff @Igebotz have not won any GW this season

In between, Nunez so focused on shooting blanks that he could not see Szoboszlai

149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk associated with Prop firms on: April 07, 2024, 06:08:26 PM
proprietary trading firms are a great option for beginner traders looking to grow their trading skills and reduce their potential risk in the markets.
Prop firms are not a great option for beginner traders, it is a fallacy to think that way. Prop firms are mostly for  traders who have developed a level of certainty about their trading abilities and are just limited because of lack of capital to trade with. Prop firms can be an option for them.

Some other ways to raise money are;
You can also get people like close friends and family to directly invest in your trading, and promise them a percentage afterwards. If you can successfully meet up with the percentage that you have promised, they will be willing to invest more from which you will also gain.

If your results from trading is very positive and successful, and you have like a channel on telegram or an account on any social media platform where you can show this results, you can get other newbie traders who are interested in a signal group to join yours from where you charge a fee.

You can tutor anyone willing to pay you a token to teach them what you know about trading.

150  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want to buy bitcoin on: April 07, 2024, 11:09:23 AM
You can buy bitcoin in an exchange like binance but before you buy, you should learn the basics about bitcoin and blockchain. If you just buy bitcoin without learning then there is a chance that you will lost it...

OP, lucky enough you can buy bitcoin from any crypto exchange as long as you pass your KYC and abide by the rules that govern them.

Buying bitcoin and keep it safe is the major problem most people face in the crypto sphere ...

Thank you OP, for making the right decision when investing in Bitcoin.  Because it is a very good sign that you want to buy Bitcoin and hold it for a long time, you will benefit the most. Since our current halving will take place this April ...

If you need help regarding buying that BTC then I would recommend you to buy it by yourself. Don't fall into the hands of people and send them money to buy BTC. People will ask you to send money to me I'll buy it for you but don't fall into this trap. I'm not saying that everybody will try to scam you but in most of the cases they do.

You can buy bitcoin in an exchange like binance but before you buy, you should learn the basics about bitcoin and blockchain. If you just buy bitcoin without learning then there is a chance that you will lost it. You should also not use exchange when storing coins but rather create your own wallet. There are free open source wallet electrum. Important things to do is to make a backup of your seed phrase which is used ti access the wallet.

If you have enough money to buy bitcoins, you can buy it yourself without needing help from others. Current price of BTC0.15 BTC is $10000+ so I think this is a very big fund you must invest carefully...

Of course you can use exchanges if you want to buy bitcoins. For example, you can use Binance Exchange, Kucoin Exchange, Bybit Exchange etc. If you buy bitcoins from here you will surely benefit the most and save your wallet safely...

It is too obvious that some forum members always fail to follow up discussions properly by reading what other forum members have written, they just come to a discussion, read the OP and jump straight to replying.

It is spamming to meet post quota.

How could these users whose comments I have highlighted not seen Hugeblack's post where he red flags the OP as a potential scammer who is just deceitful???
151  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: FG to unveil new NIN card with payment capability: on: April 07, 2024, 07:55:28 AM
I was given the temporary card in 2014, I went back for the permanent card in 2020 when I did not receive call from them since many years. All they could say is that I should come back, that only people that collected the temporary card in 2013 are the ones that are available at the time. I have no option than to go to cyber cafe to print it myself to plastic. A country that is giving its citizens the temporary card and not the permanent and yet citizens waiting for them without calling the citizens to come for their permanent card.
It is easier as a prominent citizen to obtain the permanent copy of the National Identity card, than a regular citizen. As a regular citizen what you will be able to get easily is just the NIN number which you will be able to use for bank verification and other things.

If the government has failed in making the process of obtaining the National Identity card easy, how are they going to manage the distribution of this new general multipurpose card (GMPC)?

5. Contain biometric authentication i.e fingerprint.
This can pose a serious security risk.

This NIN card is just a way to generate income for the office because we will be charged a fee to get the cards, and likely occasional fee for what they may call maintenance fee.
152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is forex trading a hobby or a skill on: April 06, 2024, 10:00:02 PM
1. A skill was defined as a Special ability or technique acquired by special training in either an intellectual or physical area
Trading crypto and Forex are skills that you have to learn for a period of time, and the intention of anyone interested in learning to trade is not for fun but certainly to make money.

2. A hobby was also defined as an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure
I will not consider trading as a hobby because it is something serious, that should not be taken for fun. There is no pleasure in loosing money in seconds to trading, so it cannot be a hobby.

Skills are meant to provide a source of income, hobbies are for fun, and there are only few hobbies that can be turned to a source of income, I don't think trading is one of them if considered a hobby by anyone.
153  Economy / Economics / Re: considering the advantage of Fiats over Cryptocurrencies on: April 06, 2024, 09:45:53 PM
While we are so comfortable about the potentials of the decentralized digital currencies such as the Alt and the Bit coins and its centralized exchanges in the blockchains, let's also understand that the Fiats has an advantage over it ...
We never claimed that fiat was completely problematic, in some aspects like quick face to face transactions, fiats still holds all the advantage than even bitcoins. Bitcoins were created to address the problems with using fiat, not to completely push fiat out of use. Bitcoins is not without faults, there are still some challenges to it's use but because the merits of having bitcoins surpasses the merits of holding fiat, and because of that, bitcoin has become the choice of many people who are well informed.

32 yrs old Van Djke and 39 yrs old Silva being the best defenders in the league is still something to think about but not on this topic.
Maybe I have not seen enough Liverpool games this season, but to me the best defender is Saliba and Gabriel. I checked to see the statistics online, Virgil van Dijk is on the top ranking this season, Saliba is in the ranking, Gabriel is in the ranking but 39yrs old Silva is not in the ranking.

Fantastic time to bring Gvardiol into the team.
He has really improved, he completely shadowed Saka in our game, and he would not have been subbed out in the second half against Palace if not that he picked up a yellow and Pep did not want to gamble.

Tomorrow's the day for Salah and Nunez, I can smell it this time. We'll walk over this United team.
I hope United do the Lord's work and stop this Liverpool team that wants to steal Arsenal chances this season.

I only trust Salah, Nunez? not so much.

I like to see Anthony, Rashford and Hojlund start for United tomorrow.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 06, 2024, 08:49:31 PM
It's not about the fee now, he should move to a club he can win individual awards and also the Champions League. A move to Chelsea or Arsenal would be more appealing. My opinions though even if they don't count.
Personally, I would still prefer going to Chelsea, that squad and project would be best for him.
Chelsea and Arsenal are two teams that have very good goal scoring creating abilities this season, with the addition of a striker like Victor Osimhen to either of the two clubs, he will score lots of goals, and his first season will quickly be in comparison with Haaland first season in the league.

If he moves to Arsenal, he can quickly become a first team choice under Arteta's expertise. Arteta has a good record of bringing the best out of players, looks at Havertz for example. If Osimhen moves to Chelsea, they need to sack Poch because I personally think he is incompetent to handle this rich Chelsea team that has talented players who can deliver with a good coach. His game changes and tactics most times are off.

156  Other / Meta / Re: Is gambling problem or anything related to addiction is an off-topic? on: April 06, 2024, 08:38:33 PM
This kind of topic was allowed before since addiction is a huge part of gambling in general.
They were allowed and overlooked before, but now the mods in the gambling board are fed up, and have decided to become active to reduce spamming and low quality topics.  In the recent weeks, many topics have been moved to the off topic board, but in the gambling board, I still see some new topics and old ones that may likely still end up being moved by the mods.

If the mods can give a hint on discussions that they deem gambling worthy, it will help.

Also, If the gambling board is now being cleaned of spammers and low quality posts, I hope also that there will be an increase in merit distribution there to the quality topics made in that board, that are gambling discussion worthy.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you advise a friend in the same way? on: April 06, 2024, 08:22:12 PM
Is this the wrong advice? A friend of mine took over his father's company because he is so old already and he told me about the money thats available doing nothing in the bank.
Your friend has stepped into a big position that comes with lots of expectations for success. His father even though is old and has passed on management of the company to him will not just fold his hands by the sides and not be interested in the performance of the company he has handed over, so every decision to be taken needs to be well calculated.

Remember that although you are put in charge of the company, company funds is not your personal funds, and the proper way to utilize company funds is to reinvest it back into the company. If it is a production company, getting new machines can help increase the profit of the business, if it is a logistic company getting new logistic vehicles can be a way to promote the business. All profitable investments does not have to be Bitcoins, some normal investments are profitable and can yield you personal income to then invest in Bitcoin.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good bitcoin security starts with strong PC and mobile device security on: April 06, 2024, 08:03:06 PM
~
Good bitcoin security starts with you and not your devices. Good bitcoin security starts with you developing your consciousness towards security. If you are not security conscious or have poor security consciousness, it will not matter the device you get because you will always be careless and your carelessness will put you at a vulnerable position to become a victim.

Good bitcoins security also involves using a good PC, OS or mobile device, but it is only about that.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: April 05, 2024, 08:42:41 PM
That said, I still think he's one of the best or most complete conventional No. 9 player, he's got every skill set that's required of such role, from pace, to his dribble, and off the ball positioning too is exceptional, he's finishing touch is the only that's subpar, I'd rather have him over Haaland everyday as a coach, all he just needs in my candid opinion is to have a better finishing or conversion skill.
Darwin Nunez and Mudryk are in the same category, players with a lot of potentials, but need personal grooming for them to achieve their full potentials.

Darwin is likely to blank against Manchester United.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really need to blame fraudsters on: April 05, 2024, 07:15:10 PM
Have you noticed that whenever someone complain or there is an incident of scam they is always a role that was played by the person in that happening, either they failed to be security conscious or they were totally ignorant, and when you look at it the scammer never forced them to comply, this people willingly fell for their  trick.
It is not every victim that knows how to take responsibility and acknowledge the fact that their nonchalant attitude with security contributed to the fact that they got scammed. Scammers often look for people who are careless with their security because these people are the easiest people to attack and steal from.

Before we blame the fraudsters, we should first accept responsibility for out failure to stay updated with security.
