141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or SODL? on: January 27, 2018, 04:13:14 AM
You know what's a hell of a lot easier than finding the exact right timing in this extremely volatile market? Just HODLing. I don't care that we're at ~50% of the ATH because we always have major swings. That's just part of cryptocurrency at this point in time. If you aren't used to it now when will you be!?

I've seen so many people end up with less crypto than they started with while trying to trade. Don't bother.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DPorn - De-centralized Porn Platform - Get Paid To Watch Porn. on: January 27, 2018, 03:58:58 AM
Hahaha I guess pretty much anything goes at this point. We'll good luck. I don't see how that's going to pay out and make a lot of money for investors.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 50 cents bringing much needed positive publicity for Bitcoin. on: January 26, 2018, 04:25:40 AM
Lol "became" a millionaire probably isn't true. Earned millions might be more true. I think this shows people "Hey, even this guy gets it, and you don't? Really? It's fity cent for crying out loud and you are dumber than him!" That should light a fire under sheep's asses.

Well hopefully he isn't a fool and sells it all. Hopefully he actually believes in cryptocurrencies and rides the waves.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canada is the best place for Bitcoin on: January 26, 2018, 04:23:15 AM
The Quebec government has gone ahead with this but basically, it's to sell more power. They don't care about small miners, they want massive mining farms to come to Quebec so they can use more power. The problem is they now have too much demand and may not be able to go through with every mining farm that wanted to move to Canada.
145  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC end like .com bubble? on: January 26, 2018, 04:20:10 AM
Companies that hard real value ended up making it out of the dot com bubble just fine. Yeah there was a panic, but there will always be panic sellers in markets. Amazon is a great example. We're like Amazon in 1999 right now. Everyone thinks it's a bubble, it "crashes" then we continue to 10x again. I know this is going to happen because it's just common sense. Stop trusting banks. Stop trusting other people with your money. Demand your own currency that your government can't control!
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canada is the best place for Bitcoin on: January 25, 2018, 04:13:50 AM
Yeah but hydro Quebec has screwed themselves and they didn't expect this much demand. They won't even have enough power to provide to everyone so they'll need to either raise prices or turn people down. I'd like to somehow mine there but it seems like they're only giving break to massive mining farms. No idea if that's true or not.
147  Economy / Speculation / Re: What determines bitcoin’s price? on: January 25, 2018, 04:09:45 AM
Basically supply and demand, but it goes a lot deeper with Bitcoin. Miners will drop off if the difficulty is too high and they have to use too much power to mine. At the same time, a surge in price can cause difficulty to go up because more miners hope on to take advantage of the higher profits. It's all over the place.
148  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best payments processor for a e-commerce website? on: January 21, 2018, 05:10:12 AM
I've heard good things about bitpay. KFC uses them so you know they can't be that bad. That's pretty mainstream and they'd want to have all of their ducks in a row before subjecting their clients to it.
149  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ideas on value in 2018 on: January 21, 2018, 05:07:32 AM
60k by August. We'll see lots of moment around there, then 90k by the end of the year. I don't think we'll see the same growth we saw this year, because that would be impossible to continue on that trend. I'd be happy to see a 30k bitcoin but we'll see how the growth goes from here. Huge changes have to happen with the fees people are paying. Segwit needs to be used more and LN too. That'll help.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the future of BTC when fees increase? on: January 21, 2018, 05:05:14 AM
The fees are only going down because of segwit and lightning network. It's just too bad so many wallets do t support segwit yet, when it's apparently easy to implement and people that have done it are seeing a huge benefit. People don't like change and once they learn something new they don't want to relearn it. That's the biggest hurtle to overcome.

Now on to the lightning network learning curve for everyone!!
151  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Selling a very high amount of BTC (100BTC) for Euro -- Where? on: January 21, 2018, 05:00:03 AM
Why not just talk to an exchange and see if they can facilitate this for you. Lots of exchanges have those big behind the scenes deals with clients so just do that and keep it off their main sell orders.bgood to go. Or just sell them all normally I guess. It's not that unrealistic for an exchange to see that amount of volume anyway.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 60% of world population cannot access computer so Bitcoins will fail. on: January 21, 2018, 04:58:24 AM
Bitcoin doesn't position itself to become a main stream currency. Doesn't mean if the 60% of the population have no access on internet means btc is doom to fail.
BTC itself is design for a decentralize currency using blockchain which the purpose you can use btc anywhere in the world without exchanging it to it local currency.
The 40% of the population is more than enough to sustain the market of btc not as a currency but an asset that can generates more money.

True that. Imagine if 10% of the world's currency was bitcoin. That would be insane gains from here and we've already seen massive gains. Why would 60% matter (which is a completely bullshit made up stat btw.)
153  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling High Qaulity Fake ID's, All US States, UK, France, Canada, and Germany. on: January 21, 2018, 04:53:17 AM
Hopefully, they will not use it for fraud or illegal activities. Who knows why they purchased one?

Haha no way. People buy fake id's and documentation to brag to their friends about it. Lol obviously this is a criminal selling them to other criminals. Obviously. Omg. Durp. He has no conscience and neither do the buyers. He's wasting his time here tho. That's for sure.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best jurisdiction to incorporate for ICO? on: January 21, 2018, 04:50:41 AM
If you're looking for the friendliest place, probably Singapore. I've also heard good things with Puerto Rico and if you're an American citizen it would be easier than most other cou tries. If you're Asian, yeah just look into Singapore. To my knowledge, they're the most crypto friendly. Japan is too, China is but too much fud right now and Korea too much fud too.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Developer Bitcoin Core and co-founder of Blockstream Greg Maxwell left the compa on: January 21, 2018, 04:46:59 AM
Okay? Idk, he's welcome to work where he likes. What's the issue with the lightning network tho? Too centralized? I haven't heard much about it other than the fact that it's up and running and to be careful with it for the time being because there aren't that many nodes.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 60% of world population cannot access computer so Bitcoins will fail. on: January 21, 2018, 04:45:20 AM
Yeah, those 60% use smart phones. Idiot. Every third world country is overrun by smartphones, so obviously they don't have computers. They're too big expensive and take more energy.

If fiat can survive then obviously bitcoins are going to do a hell of a lot more than surviving. They're going to dominate currency. If not bitcoin then another cryptocurrency.
157  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin really secure on: January 21, 2018, 04:39:13 AM
Okay, if you're talking about the fiat value of bitcoin, who the hell knows. But if you own 1 bitcoin and you have good security (cold storage) you're as secure as any bank because they're using the same algo. So. Yeah. It's secure. The price will fluctuate, but look at the trend. Who cares. HODL.
158  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC inching toward 12 K again. on: January 21, 2018, 04:37:19 AM
I'm expecting a bull run. This Korea and China bullshit FUD will pass over (like every other time) and we'll get right back on track to where we where before. So many people don't own bitcoin yet. This is a massive currency that's only getting bigger. Don't sell now and screw yourself in the future.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain BTC values to co-worker on: January 21, 2018, 04:35:47 AM
I've found a great method to explain bitcoins and crypto to morons normal people.

First, ask then this. "How is you money created". When they try to tell you, correct them. No one has a clue yet everyone uses it.

After that, explain how banks work. You take a currency that's infinite supply and is used to fund the biggest wars known to man, then you TRUST some RANDOM with YOUR money. Why? Oh, because that's what my grampa did. And his dad. And his dad. Yeah okay, but did you know you can be an early investor in something better? This is currency 2.0.

They'll ask about mining, say it isn't profitable and don't get into it BUT it's essential. Basically, you create bitcoins with math. Leave it at that. Just, be like it's a half trillion dollar market, believe me, the math behind this is legit. You heard of encryption? Same type of math here, cryptography. Yeah. It's cryptographicly provenance currency. Not just, okay let's print another few million each day and we'll devalue our currency by 3% every year, year over year, until it's worthless and then we start over. What great logic.

Ask them what the best oldest currency is. Ask them how long a fiat currency lasts. Ask them why they trust a bank with their money when they can hold a better currency themselves and be their own bank. Literally, your phone is a bank. Stop playing them to hold your money.
160  Economy / Speculation / Re: SELL EVERYTHING!!!!! on: January 21, 2018, 04:29:01 AM
And again a doom post about the bitcoin ending up being the opposite of the reality

It was more like "blah blah blah I'm an idiot and somehow lost 110k in a bull market (shorting like a moron I guess?) so bitcoin is a ponzi. Oh did I mention I started literally months ago and invested 110k? Yeah, I fell out of the dumb tree and smacked my head on every branch. I thought it was buy high and sell low. Damn."
