141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: May 04, 2024, 06:28:45 AM
I agree, besides the money you are using in gambling is your own money. The fact that it is your own money, it only means that other people doesn't have the right to think or say/dictate anything about your hobby. Letting them to think whatever they want and didn't give any interest on their opinion is good, we don't need to stress ourselves with other peoples opinion, what we should think is how we become comfortable with our hobbies.
If we gamble with the money we have ourselves, of course we don't need to think about what other people say about the things we do and we have the right to use the money we have according to our own wishes, but we have to keep doing it in a controlled manner and don't let it happen. puts us in financial trouble and we have to be responsible for what we do, but if they continue to dictate what we do, of course we can avoid this person, it would be better because this makes us uncomfortable and the most important thing is that we do this wisely. do not disturb other people and we can be responsible for the things we do.

that's right, it's okay to receive criticism or advice from other people, but if they say a lot of things that it's not nice or really offensive words, we're the ones to adjust and stay away because we're the ones who understand better, I'll think It's just that they are narrow-minded because why do they worry so much about what other people are doing, does the gambling money come from them? if not, they should keep it to themselves, shut their mouth and mind their own businesses.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: May 04, 2024, 06:10:00 AM
I can relate with what op wrote but not about gambling, situations when you’re feeling tired but you refuse to rest and decide to do something else you’ll definitely make a mistake cause at that time the brain need rest but why depriving your brain from resting, you’ll definitely not focus with such activity and what’s so surprising about this is the moment you make an expensive mistake during the process you’ll not feel like sleeping but rather you just feel sad. Mate, this is wrong cause you don’t joke with your resting time otherwise you’ll regret also op used gambling as an example but generally everything should be set aside first when tired cause you can actually carry out same activity next time

because our mind will not function properly if it is too tired or overused, there are many instances that happen that when a person's thinking is not stable, they make wrong decisions and sometimes they are not even aware of what they did because our brains can't produce proper ideas, let's compare this situation to cellphones, they won't work when they're lowbatt, the same thing happens to the human mind and body so we need to prioritize our health .
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You can not win if you do not risk on: May 04, 2024, 04:33:11 AM
Good day guys, how is the gambling industry helping you this period?

However I just want to say that in the game world gamblers are always there to bet and the important thing here is when a gambler can not risk he also can not win, true or false?
Many might still believe that a gamblers who's just gambling at the first day might end up winning w huge amount of money that he wasn't expecting but the truth is that as long as you stake on bet you have already risk your money, be it big or small.
You can't succeed in anything without taking risks in life. No matter where you are in life, if you have to take risks, you can only hope for success. Be it trading, investing, gambling, you must take risks. If you can take risks, you can expect to succeed. If I don't take risks and sit back and dream of success, I never have the chance to succeed because I haven't taken risks and participated in anything, so how can I expect to succeed. Those who have achieved a lot in life have a record of taking the highest risk in their success, be it business, investment, gambling and jackpot.
It is not easy to move forward without taking risks. Many people associate risk taking with a negative connotation. But taking a risk can only lead to bad outcomes or even to the best of outcomes. And so be prepared for any good possibility. Who knows because of lack of preparation you may not have been able to use something heavy in time and you have failed the risk so be prepared in advance.

Well that's true, but we don't know what will going to happen if we are not going to take a risk, that's why it is important to know or to analyze it first before doing some decisions so that we will not regret the things we have done. Being prepared or having a back up plan is a good move just in case the thing you pursued won't work.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will you do if you find yourself in a similar situation like this? on: May 03, 2024, 08:27:00 PM
So, ladies and gents,

Here is a dude who parents trusted well enough to save their money in his bank account, that is, father of this dude (according to the dude) saved all his money on his son's (the dude) bank account, the dude went ahead to start doing sports betting with the money, and like this like this normally turns out most of the time, he eventually lost all the money the father saved with him without the parents knowing.

Later on, the parents found out and became very angry with him, he is thinking of how to handle the situation but doesn't know exactly what to do,
And let's say he somehow manages to replace the money, either by means of borrowing or working menial jobs to raise the money, will his parents ever trust him again to save large sum of money with him?

Assuming you find yourself in a similar situation as this, what will you do? How will you handle the situation to make your parents trust you again?

when it comes to trust, once it's broken, it's very difficult to restore it or it takes a long time before you trust again, but in this situation, his parents are the ones who lost trust and if I were the parents in the situation, I would be really angry and lost of trust, maybe no matter what the child does, I will always think wrongly. Maybe the better thing to do is to return all the savings that were lost and just understand that there is a process to restore trust, others take a long time and reach many years before being able to completely forgive, so to make up for it, just show that you are sorry for what you did or maybe you should reduce the gambling because once they see you participating in such activity again, there is a greater chance that their lack of trust in you will increase.
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: May 03, 2024, 11:28:41 AM
Our approach will be really sensible. Tough love is involved. Showing care by setting boundaries is important, not cutting them off. No gambling debt bailouts or monetary aid. Its firm and tough, but it demonstrates you want to help them win in life, not slots.

Professional help? An absolute must. I know the best individuals, including therapists. They're experts at decoding these complex habits and getting to the root cause. Its not defeatist to suggest therapy - its planning a huge comeback. Remember, slips happen. Dont panic when they do. Show them their progress. Sometimes you take two steps forward and one step back when negotiating a huge deal. But you persevere. Thats wining.

Helping a person going through such an experience is never easy, and it is even more difficult if that person is living with you, however there is not really an approach that works best over the other, and instead we must adjust our actions based on the circumstances.

As if we see that this person is reacting positively to our suggestions, then taking a soft approach is the best option, but if that person begins to refuse our advice and they even steal money or other stuff from us, then that is the time to take a hard stand, and if things do not improve, it may be even necessary to kick them out of your house before you lose everything due to their addiction.

Kicking them out is risky on its own. Because if he's family, nothing will make you forget about him. They'll always be on your mind and if they eventually get into trouble, it'll bother you as well. I think working alongside their emotional problem will help the person have a rethink. Sometimes argument won't help, in cases like addiction. Because the player doesn't think he's wrong with his actions. Hence, taking care of the person seem to be the right option and more effective. It's quite difficult, but it's worth doing.

Helping other people out of their trouble also helps in building a better society. Doing it the tough ways hurts both the helper and the recipient. Thereby, increasing the anger on seeing one another. That's why therapists don't engage into argument with their clients. They focus more on building strong relationship with the person, making them smile, remind them of their past and change their perspectives of life. Some approaches with kindness is more effective to invite a positive self thought on the addict. When the player gets better, it's a fine idea to refer them to a therapist for some finishing touches.

That's why it's really better to refer them to consult with professionals because those medical allied are always there to help them recover from whatever they are going through and at the same time, extending emotional support from their family will also help them more because people under the influence of addiction, their minds and awareness are divided, they still have the feeling that they want to get out of the situation so they also have to help themselves.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Use your winning responsibly on: May 03, 2024, 10:35:17 AM

As you are gambling responsibly, also use the money won responsibly.
I won 328,000 from Sportybet. It was a running game that finished 3 days ago and I decided to use the money wisely. I had a small television in my living room so I bought a Smart TV for 307,000  I am so happy seeing this in my living room.
As you are gambling, make sure to use the money won to do something that you will be proud of and happy about. You can invest some in Bitcoin, buy properties, etc.
Do not use all the money back to gamble, that's not wise.
Just wanted to drop my achievement from gambling responsibly here. Below is the Image of the TV installed

I would definitely have to agree with you. Too many folks get a come up and blow it all on the next round and lose it. If you made out well gambling count your blessings, invest the winnings would be the wisest move you can make. Buying a TV isn't a bad choice, but I definitely would have to agree with you that investing that in Bitcoin or some other alternative investment in some physical cash flowing asset will always be the best and wisest choice.

It also depends on the decision of a gambler where he will spend the money he won. If he dreams about the things he bought, there is no problem because he will somehow see where the money he won went, instead of just spending it on meaningless things. maybe he needs that TV or it's the first time he's going to have one so that's the first thing he buys immediately. If the winnings are huge amount, for sure he'll consider investing in bitcoin and other things worth putting money into but for now , maybe it's good that he enjoys what he earns from gambling and hopefully he won't send fall into the temptation of gambling to avoid problems.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Developing Winning Crypto Betting Strategies on: May 03, 2024, 10:11:24 AM
I am not expecting a betting site to be posting about winning betting strategies. I read the post and it was ridiculous. There is no betting winning strategies there. It is only about how to deposit coins and gamble with mBTC.

There is no winning strategies in gambling. It is better you see gambling as entertaining activities than to see it as a way of making money. Gambling sites is more having chance to make money from you and other users.

A lot of these sites just create content that can be "clickbait" for people to access and then for them to advertise their site.

So they will post something like this and when people Google gambling strategies, they end up on their gambling site or their gambling forum.

It is just a advertising and marketing strategy.

Expect this thing to happen since somehow this can highlight their casino especially if there's a lot of guys seeking some information about what possible strategy they could able to use on their gambling session and its instant advertisement if there article will be seen which attached their casino link inside of it.

But I see anything wrong with this methods since somehow this is smart actions from their end. There maybe wrong with these actions they do if we can see that they are over exaggerating things just to make people get interested to try out those strategies they are pointing out and go to their casino to gamble.

Same sentiments with yours, This kind of advertisement strategy will surely caught a lot of people's attention since majority of us is always seeking for gambling strategy on how to win and as a gambler, even if I doubt sometimes, I will fall for this clickbait haha! But I hope they can at least give a proper strategy to the casino sites they are promoting so that it becomes even more popular and many people try their sites, especially the gamblers will really find a way to win, but for me, I no longer believe in gambling strategies, I can even believe that gambling is all about luck.
148  Economy / Economics / Re: World price tag on every product. on: May 03, 2024, 09:40:46 AM
Lol, all the countries in the world should also have the same minimum wage, use the same currency and experience the same economic growth, for this to happen. The prices of goods cannot be the same in all countries, for example, how do you compare the standard of living in the United States, to that of a third world country, and how can goods be valued in the same way in both countries, it is basically impossible.

That being said, if it is a foreign product, and you want to purchase it directly from abroad, then you have to pay using the currency of the country where the goods was produced, or its equivalent.

You have a point, It's impossible for all countries to have the same level or prices of goods because each country has a different cost of living and different level of economic crisis.
But nowadays, somehow we are able to buy or try products and services from other countries without going to another country, but y'll should expect that the price is even more expensive when we buy it in our own country due to tax and other added fees like  shipping fee / Franchise fee.
149  Economy / Economics / Re: Stagnant Salaries vs. Inflationary Savings Tax on: May 03, 2024, 09:11:29 AM
Which of these economic situations would you prefer to find yourself in?

A-

Your salary is stagnant but prices fall. Where this happens, your real purchasing power has increased.  It's called constructive deflation. And even if your salary falls, but prices fall faster, you are still ahead.

B- Having your savings taxed 2%+ a year by inflation.

Drop your thoughts

Obviously, I would choose the option A even if my current salary now become stagnant as long as the prices of everything that we need, falls. I mean, People only demand a high salary increase because the cost of living increased as well, Of course, who wants high prices and expenses, right? Automatic when that happens, some of us have no money to save? the money we earn, all of that will only go to expenses and bills, we will be in survival mode unless the salary is very high, we are all aware that the rest of us are only minimum wage earners, so we will literally work to survive every day.
150  Economy / Economics / Re: Surviving in this economy needs a new minds set on: May 03, 2024, 08:33:13 AM
Year after year before the cross over service there will be promises of a new beginnings, new hopes, vision, wishes and resolution
Government will come up with the budget of the incoming year and and when you look at the budget it is really interesting with hope's of having a better year ahead as in the budget it capture virtually everything including the economy and other aspects of the nation
But every year that passes on the economic situation is getting worse by the day, infact inflation increase with each year that passes making the living standard of the poor unbearable
This makes me to think and have come to the realization and conclusion that surviving in this present economic situation needs a total different mind set such that will make you to think out side of the box
Investing in crypto currencies like Bitcoin is not a bad idea at all
Almost every year the community becomes victims of the government's sweet promises which always say it wants to improve the welfare of the community with an ever-increasing annual budget allocation. But what happened after that, the community's economy was still squeezed, the inflation rate was getting worse, the unemployment rate was increasing which led to increasing poverty. Stop placing your hopes on the government, start implementing your own plans with a positive mindset to create your own financial resources.

There are many ways you can overcome this problem, as long as you have confidence in your own abilities, you can stand independently without expecting help from the government. Start creating your own job by utilizing the skills you have mastered, no matter how small the business you start, you are the boss. If you understand crypto, it is very easy for you to develop funds from business profits. Investing in Bitcoin can help overcome your financial problems when the country's economic conditions are not conducive.

I agree, that's why some of us has lost their trust in any government candidates because they are no different from those who were elected in the past, they are all good and hardworking in the beginning but when they get to the middle, they do stupid things and steal the people's money. How will our economy develop if the country itself is drowning in debt caused by the former presidents of the country, who will suffer? of course the people who are at the bottom, it will take decades before the country becomes debt free so change is impossible, the last time i heard that word, nothing happened, promises were not fulfilled.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: Personal Financial Goals vs Government expectations! on: May 03, 2024, 07:27:11 AM
Have you ever thought about this, what we are trying to achieve in our personal financial life is completely diverge from what the government expects their citizens to do.

We as Individuals always thrive to achieve financial independence in our lives especially someone who is from the average middle person but what the government expects from the middle class is different and is kind of surprising when we give deep thought about it, The Government highly relies on the middle-class tax payers for the money and most of the taxes collected in the form of indirect taxes so that people may not actually aware that they are paying taxes for everything from their salary, fuel, medicine, anything everything has taxes that eat most our earnings.

So as a result we are paying from 10% to over 50% of our earnings just in the form of taxes in one or another way. So one who really wants to achieve financial independence should find a way to reduce their tax pay legally like how the businessmen do.

Or like the bald guy says, we need to find a way to exit the Matrix. Cheesy

We can't really save a lot if our extra income just goes to pay taxes but we can't do anything because that's what is stated in the law, sometimes it's just unfair because we know where the tax we pay goes especially when it's corrupt the government officials sitting, Sad but that's the truth. Imagine, for everything we purchase, there is a tax on it, the kind that you work overtime to earn extra money and save, but what you earned in overtime, will just be deducted from you because of the tax.

153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamers using demo account on: May 03, 2024, 06:18:51 AM
How true is this rumor? This is very popular on our local streamer comment section that streamers is just using a demo account with enhance winning rate on all slot games to showcase huge win while they are playing.

I knew that only slot game provider has the power to change the RTP of the slot games but some of the comment is from other streamers that has same experience on using demo account.

This issue is not new to us, it has been spreading for a long time because other former streamers have released the truth about this, the majority of streamers who have a contract with online casinos are given set up accounts to make the content more convincing once they play it in their live streamin. of course if people can only watch winning, there is a good chance that more people will join, right? this is also a good side for streamers because they will earn money when a lot of people use their referral codes, that's why most of the people who attract other streamers are beginners and young people, the ones they can easily fool.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Try to stick to your instincts as a gambler on: May 02, 2024, 09:42:29 PM
I always do a mix of following my instinct and statistics because combining these two options led me to more winning bets than rather doing random bets or simply follow some AI predictions or any other craps like this. However , it's good to search for what other people are betting on your events so in this way you will have a second opinion on your bets and then you can wisely chose from your instinct , statistics and also other people bets and outcomes.  Grin
Following predictions provided by an AI model might not be the brightest idea because AI models are not up to the mark for now and they can be wrong sometimes with their predictions and analysis, however, one can use them to get assistance with their research and analysis by collecting data and statistics that they then can compare to see which side has better chances of winning a game.

I'm also not a fan of following instincts when it comes to making sports bets because your instincts are based on your emotions and understanding of things or events from the past, and the outcome can always be different than that. So, one should only rely on research and analysis when it comes to sports betting.

If it's just about instincts, I'd rather follow my own predictions than AI, why? Isn't it only humans who control the AI, by inputting information and such things that they learn from humans? There is also a big chance that his predictions will not match compared to what our personal analysis will be. If our predictions are wrong, at least we must admit to ourselves that we made a mistake, there is no one else to blame but ourselves.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 02, 2024, 08:26:16 PM

$1,500 to return nearly $100,000, the Milwaukee Bucks are the last leg, would you cash out for just over 50% of the payout or let it ride? Let me know below. I cannot properly hedge this parlay so I can either cash out or let it ride.

If you're satisfied with the amount, just cash out, sometimes you need to think and plan carefully so you will not ended up lossing everything you have. you should know when to stop because if not, then I must say that greed controls you, and when you experiencing the greed, it will lead you to become broke. So think wisely! this is my opinion only and majority of our fellow gamblers here are saying that you should cash out instead of continuing the game.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: May 02, 2024, 11:13:36 AM
Since gambling is legally punishable in our country and has the potential to be socially disgraceful, we cannot participate openly to maintain our social self-respect. Also in our country we don't usually participate in open gambling because a gambler doesn't want to have good social relations with an addict. Moreover no other family wants to be on good terms with the family of a gambler especially a respectable good man will never feel comfortable moving with a gambling addict. Many times a gambler is socially disrespected and banned from important events. Especially since gambling is completely prohibited in our native culture and law, we cannot participate in gambling.

We understand and respect your culture and beliefs when it comes to participating in gambling. I will go ahead with the others, we don't need to discuss this anymore because we know that there are countries that strictly prohibit gambling, even crypto is illegal in them but of course because we are in the modern age now, let's admit it Whether we like it or not, there are many people who belong to their group who secretly hear about or participate in this kind of work. How did I say? Because many people already know and sometimes they even gamble vulgarly even though we know it is forbidden in their culture, seems like they doesn't care anymore what other people may say to them.
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: May 02, 2024, 10:41:24 AM
and if you feel worried are you worried that she may be losing a pool of cash or your worried because you fear for her health as gamblers can get negative emotions when losing money.
I may feel worried because the older people become the higher chance Of having a higher blood pressure (HBP). meaning frequent lose may affect her health condition and she may collapse one day and die because of HBP.
This case is very similar to my neighbor where he is an old gambler that we know in our neighborhood, at that time he placed a gambling bet with all his savings because he felt sure and confident of winning but ultimately failed and lost that night. because of the increasing emotional level in him, his illness finally recurred, as his high blood pressure rose, which ultimately caused him to suffer a heart attack and died on the spot. It was very unfortunate that this happened because actually he didn't need to put all his money on one bet.

I don't know what gambling game he played that night but as far as I know he was so happy with sports betting he shouldn't have put all his money on one bet, in the end there were complications with his illness and he died on the spot, I think as a child he should have paid attention Our parents or uncles who may be elderly but still like to gamble should be advised not to gamble to maintain their health, especially in many cases of elderly people who sometimes have uncontrolled emotions which can cause those emotions to trigger illnesses which can ultimately lead to illness. make someone die because of it.

This is so sad to hear, Imagine? Just because he is complacent that he will win even though there is absolutely no certainty, his life is at risk because of what he did and in the end that's exactly how it ended up, Maybe a large amount of money was really lost so it reached such an event and let's add the age of a gambler. Just a reminder to everyone, even those who are in the middle age, we should also monitor our health to check what things we should avoid so that we don't reach the point where we experience what others have experienced and reach in death.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: May 02, 2024, 10:12:35 AM
Winning at gambling is much more fun when doing very exciting things. No matter how good the experience is but if you lose this excitement no longer works. No one can give the correct prediction of gambling. Over time you may notice that you are not satisfied with small bets. You feel the need to bet more money and do it more frequently to experience the same thrill. This increase in betting volume can be a slippery slope to financial challenges.
Of course, winning at gambling will be much more fun but we must realizes that we can't always wins in gambling. We can lose much money if we don't realizes and can' control ourselves when playing gambling. We must thinks about how long we can playing gambling and if we thinks that playing gambling is exciting, we don't have to chase the win instead just to feels the games. If we can enjoy the games, we will feels excited but if not, we will only becomes angry and once that happens, we will lose the enjoyment and maybe we lose the money too. We don't have to bet more money to feels excited in gambling because enough money that we can afford to lose, we can feels excited too. What we needs to do is just to control ourselves and not use too much money to playing gambling. Otherwise, we will lose that money without have a chance to gets the money back.

Yup! that's why it is better to know everything about gambling first before deciding entering this game. Winning in gambling is a real fun and a kind of achievement for me because I'm aware that whenever I gamble, i rarely win no matter how many skills and experiences I have. Just like others, doing gambling games is a challenging game for me because this is where I test my patience and luck. When doing gambling, know that we need to become aware on our spending habits because gambling will trick you, you'll never know that you are already running out of money because of the excitement that you've felt.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Claw Machines: a category of gambling? on: May 02, 2024, 05:01:52 AM
~SNIP~

So you mean, It's real that some claw machine has been set up? that's why sometimes there's a low chance of winning because the claw didn't work well even if you already placed it correctly in your target item. If that's the case, They tricked their customer in order to play more and more until they get at least 1 item from that machine, It is considered as a type of mini gambling and just a normal game at the same time because it gives us an exciting and interesting game while spending A lot of money.
I think it is pretty much a fact this is the case, if not then a skilled player could win most of the time by simply getting better at manipulating the claw, so the owners of those machines need to find a way to counter those players, and the way to do that is by manipulating the strength of the claw, this way it does not matter how much skilled a person may get when using the claw, as if the claw itself is not working properly, then they have no way to win no matter what they do.

Yeah South park already tell you the truth a claw machine has been a set up. the owner of claw machine did that I mean at the end of the day all of this is just for a profit and that it if you want to give some free stuff that fine you can make the claw even tighter and stronger maybe no skilled required for it.

Hahaha skilled player is everywhere and people who want to profit is also everywhere this is just business and people who play it sometimes just do it for fun and test their luck

Ohhh I see, that's why sometimes it's really hard to get some items in some claw machine especially here in our place, it's kinda difficult to get some items even if you have skills in doing it but when you come in japan, I've watched a lot of videos showing that some people are easily catch some stuffs because of tight set up of claw and if I'm able to visit that country, I won't miss to try their claw machines because for sure I will enjoy doing the catch there.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery Fever. What are your range of thoughts in response to Lucky Winners? on: May 01, 2024, 07:24:12 PM
My thoughts have to do with the lottery winners who end up worse off than before they won the lottery, totally broke and with more debt. They had better learn how to manage their wealth and not get carried away by the drunkenness of joy when it comes to spending their winnings. Have a little brains, please.

sometimes when a person holds a large amount of money, they don't think about what can happen because they are focused on enjoying themselves and how they will spend the money they received. So a gambler should know better what needs to be done once he experiences winning at gambling so that the money does not run out in an instant. Yes, there is a saying that it is easy to run out of money without working hard, but if you are strategic and think practically, you know that the money you won in gambling will not just be used up on meaningless things.
