1421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who and where Cryptocurruncies are used on: October 16, 2016, 02:08:30 PM
I saw the price of some coins like Dash, litecoin etc are  $11.07 and $4 respectively but I dont see many people using them.
I know bitcoin is widely accepted and even many big merchants have now started accepting it so it's high price may be justified but why the prices of other cryptos as mentioned above are even more than a cent?Who uses Dash or Litecoin and where?

you question should really be why some coins like ethereum are above $1 when there is absolutely no usage for them.

i don't know about dash but litecoin has been around for a very long time and it is almost as old as bitcoin. and if you look at the official site and their wiki you can see there are many places that are accepting litecoin as payment too.

and also as others mentioned xmr and the dark net and the anonymous transactions is a thing these days.

but apart from all that altcoins are mostly used just for trading and to make some more bitcoin from their price fluctuations.
1422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: October 16, 2016, 02:04:21 PM
to me there is no limit in winning and loosing money, you can win unlimited money and so can lost unlimited also in gambling.
playing gambling is a very risky practice. we can be very rich and we can also be very poor.
one must be very prepared when they start gambling.

it is only risky hence stressful if you are trying to make money from gambling and become rich.

instead if you are only gambling for fun and entertainment you will enjoy the risk instead of fearing it. besides you should always invest what you can afford to lose, which means you are completely ready to lose the invested amount and again there is no fear.
1423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it Sports Betting is better than other type of gambling? on: October 16, 2016, 02:00:18 PM
I always liked sports betting over any other kind of gambling because first of all you can not to be cheated by casino becuase your are betting on something happening in reality not on a computer screen and its more fun for me because when i watch that match on my television after betting on the match,it just creates more interest in watching that match.

i also like sports betting but a big problem that exists with this type of gambling game is that you can still be cheated! not by the house but by the game itself, although it doesn't happen everyday and in every sports but there are still lots of game fixes that change the result of the match to the other unexpected way making us lose.
1424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: there are lot of dice sites , which telling us....... on: October 16, 2016, 01:55:54 PM
there is a lot of dice sites around because it is both easy for players and also for the house itself.

it is easy for players to play at these dice sites because you don't need any kind of skills at all and you can even make bets with 0 investment with the faucet.

and for the house it is super easy to design a dice site whereas designing another game like a poker room for example is so much harder.
1425  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Where do you store your electrum 12 word phrase? on: October 16, 2016, 01:50:04 PM
it really depends on you and how safe you feel in your home!
for example i have written my seed on a piece of paper and i am holding it in my desk drawer. and i am sure that even if a robber comes to my home he is not going to steal my piece of paper that has some gibberish written on it!!!

Memorize you key, If you can memorize your country flag pledge you can memorize 12 words

did you really do this yourself?
because seed is a set of random words, and memorizing random words that have no relationship together is so much harder than memorizing a sentence or rather a sentence with a tune in it.
1426  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you use multiple Bitcoin Wallets to store your Bitcoins? on: October 16, 2016, 01:46:11 PM
....
Every smart people should have different wallet online, that is to minimize the risk as we cannot see the future, it could be stolen and all our investment are gone, you do not call it a savings instead so it is just good to diversify it.

using multiple bitcoin wallets is not really "being smart" you can have only 1 bitcoin wallet and be the safest possible. i believe you should call it paranoid instead of smart.

making a secure bitcoin wallet which is always offline and stays that way is not really hard, and i am talking from 2 years of experience with having only one bitcoin wallet on an offline linux system.
1427  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is earning BTC can be good in the future? on: October 13, 2016, 12:25:12 PM
just look at what has happened so far.

during all these years since bitcoin has been introduced the price has been going up only because the adoption is growing. the more people who start using bitcoin and invest in it the more demand it gets and price goes up.

and in the future this will continue going up which makes investing in bitcoin an excellent choice this day while price is still stable and low.
1428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: advantages of bitcoin on: October 13, 2016, 12:11:44 PM
there are too many advantages for using bitcoin and i believe that you will only understand these advantages if you use bitcoin yourself.

for me the most important ones are decentralization and also the high security that bitcoin has.
1429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling worth playing? on: October 12, 2016, 04:05:43 PM
if you start seeing gambling as a game not an investment then it is the only time that you can see how much gambling is worth playing.

also there are a lot of people that i have been seeing who are making a good amount of money through gambling games which require skills instead of luck, for example in sports betting.
1430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which gambling sites have 0% house edge? on: October 12, 2016, 03:54:50 PM
There is no gambling website with a 0% house edge because its something that they need to exist and stay existing.
A gambling website is not cheap, you have to understand that..

You are fully right about this, there are no gambling websites with an 0 percent house edge because they than simply would never make profit or money to build up their empire.
I think its possible for a gambling site to have 0 percent house edge temporarily for just welcoming for testers and players to try their gambling site, But it will not stay 0 percent permanently. The Website aint cheap. They need also a profit thats why house edge is created.

Yep, it is true when we talk about casinos. 0% house edge means that casino is working without earnings (for free). Betting sites can work on a bit different principles, and that also is gambling Wink They can earn from differences of odds (kind of arbitrage) and in this way they can work with 0% house edge.

well this part is not right at all.

you know that casinos are earning from the money that people are losing in their sites. it is not like an exchange service that takes a percentage out of anything that you do.

so whether house edge is 0% or 1% or in between, the house is still earning money because people will lose, the only difference is that the odds are even between the house and the player.
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This Weekend I Will Be Mostly Buying ETH on: October 12, 2016, 03:41:19 PM
How did that work out for you?

Actually it will turn out well with time because ETH is still holding its ground as number two. Even ETC could not push ETH out of the way, instead it fell out for ETH.

ETC were never supposed to push anything out of anywhere, it could (and i think it still may) rise as in some pump and dumps similar to ETH.

and i think OP is just hyping ETH because he was losing money because of the drop and we can see that price has been going down ever since he made this topic. it will rise again but it needs to reach the bottom after everybody dumps and cashed out.
1432  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many people here don't really care about BTC? on: October 12, 2016, 03:36:08 PM
Who here doesn't care what happens with bitcoin as long as you can use them to make money, all the other drama doesn't really matter right?
All I care about is getting that $$$$ in my hands at the end of the day, everything else is irrelevant

If i rate, its about 75% don't really care about bitcoin. And i think a person without enough knowledge on bitcoin will no longer interested and they don't care if what bitcoin really is. A proper knowledge of bitcoin  will make a person love and care about it.

i think that rate is a bit too high.

but i agree that there are still lots of people around here who don't care at all about bitcoin and they in fact are only looking for making some profit from bitcoin, and most of them expect it in a very short term.

and i also believe that unless people start to care more about bitcoin we can not move forward and reach that high prices everybody dreams about.
1433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain will be >1.8 TB , but with 2mb Blocks >5 TB in 10 years! on: October 12, 2016, 03:31:41 PM
Tell that to your avg chinese villager who probably has <500kbs internet connection that disconnects at every stormy weather.

that is why light wallets (SPV wallets) were invented Cheesy

i live in a shitty country with shittier internet connection, and i am using Electrum, i don't have to be running a full node in order to use bitcoin.
1434  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you already become a USD millionaire through Bitcoin? on: October 09, 2016, 01:41:45 PM
only idiots think they can become a millionaire with bitcoin and with 0 effort. and in reality only scammers like altcoin creators who pump their own ICO scam to 0.03BTC Wink become millionaires overnight.

for the rest of us, we get what we work for, nothing more, nothing less. so if you work hard you get your reward and if not, don't expect much.

if you have signed this with OP address 16GtL... then it is a wrong signature.
(Checked with Electrum) and yes i removed the newline in the signature.

and as a friendly advice, nobody is going to tell you anything if they crack what i am assuming to be your private key. the funds will be gone and you will learn nothing.
1436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any new gambling site idea ? on: October 08, 2016, 02:23:43 PM
making a new gambling site has turned into a hard thing these days because you only have two choices:

1) go with the familiar games like dice that has been proven they pay out and people will surely play them.
but you will have  a lot of competition.

2) go to unknown territory and use a completely new game and risk nobody even coming to your site and play ever!
1437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: reg required V.S. no reg game on: October 08, 2016, 02:15:12 PM
i think both of these can be good and bad at the same time. you can't just make a decision based on a simple pros and cons (advantages and disadvantages) of this matter.

the difference can be in the type of the game, some games are played on chain and some are not. so the first one can be without registration.

also no registration means you have to deposit and withdraw each bet and that means you have to pay 2 transaction fees for each bet so it would be impossible to play games like dice for example.
1438  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would u still use Bitcoin if u were a USD multi millionaire? on: October 08, 2016, 02:10:07 PM
I definitely will use Bitcoin even more if I am a multimillionaire. I see Bitcoin as an investment, not just a simple currency that you can use for transactions. Bitcoin has the power to increase over time and that means more profit for all of us. Dollars and other currencies doesn't seem to move at all, except for countries that have a good economy of course.

Imagine putting millions of dollars in Bitcoin and then a major price happens, that's another thousands/millions of dollars for you and you got it just by waiting.

no multi millionaire has became rich by gambling and what you are suggesting it more of gamble rather than a good investment. because it is a big if about the price rise and  small rise is not enough profit for a couple of million dollars!

besides there are a lot more profitable investments out there that you can do with much less risks and a lot more reward with a big amount of money.
1439  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any safe way to grow my bitcoins ? on: October 08, 2016, 02:06:08 PM
Faucets were the only safest method of earning bitcoin compared to most other methods of earning. When it comes to growing investing into trusted websites and lending through services section is the best option.
Faucets are safest way but don't you think you are wasting your time by doing and making amount from faucets because it is takes too much time and you get only few bitcoin, you can say that you would be able to earn 1$ in 2 3 weeks because their payouts are very low. So signature campaign is better than faucets, it is also a safest way of growing bitcoin.

in fact faucets are one of the not so safe methods of gathering bitcoin because you can get infected just by visiting those sites and i am sure there is already some malicious sites at work trying to run some script through the ads on their sites and infect you.
1440  Economy / Services / Re: <<Free VPN Services>> on: October 08, 2016, 01:59:57 PM
Shall i get source code for linux? and i'm not comfortable with wine on linux. BTW, what's the feature of using this service? Is this VPN available for mobile?

i don't know what the link OP gave is but OpenVPN is a safe and open source project that all the big VPN providers are using:

i am not commenting on what OP has provided but if you want to download it go to its homepage and find the download link that way: https://openvpn.net/

and yes it has versions for mobile

edit:
links look weird but i checked it and they look right:
https://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/downloads.html
you can also find the linux version here
