1441  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: December 09, 2016, 11:08:57 AM
Maybe not to get rich, but sure as hell to earn a decent amount of money with bitcoins.

How much money did you earn with bitcoins? Or did you lose some?
Im not sure if im going to be rich in the future getting bitcoin for me is really hard how come in getting descent amount of bitcoin? i honestly trade but it's not enough for me to spend that in a week i just earned 20$ per week i think and i don't gambler if don't needed to avoid lose too. But if i need money there are times that i played gambling.

Depends on your planning to earn and invest your bitcoin, even $20 a week is good enough to start saving maybe until several months or years. In the end, you will be surprised how much your savings and then invest it to business or anything what interested to you and make more profits.
1442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with lost bitcoins on: December 09, 2016, 08:40:16 AM
We all know that there can be no more than 21M bitcoins. We also know that every day some bitcoins get lost forever. That means that they still exist on the blockchain, but no one can access them since the keys are lost. I don't think that this is a right thing. We should recover these coins somehow, and that issue could be addressed eventually. I suggest setting a grace period of, say, 10 years (or 50 years if 10 years is too little) after which all wallets that remain untouched during that time and not reclaimed by anyone, should be declared as public property. The transactions that credited these bitcoins to such a wallet should be cancelled (just like correcting entries are made in a real ledger), and the coins should be moved to a new wallet, for example, to finance scientific research...

In this way, we will always have 21M bitcoins after the last bitcoin is mined and can also "resurrect" lost bitcoins for the common good

To avoid asking and answering the same things all over again, I add below important clarification:

First, there is no way to technically distinguish between lost coins and purposefully unmoved coins.
They both are the same and it is not reasonable to make people move their coins every so often in
order to prove that they still have control. If in the event, a protocol change is proposed that users
will need to transfer their coins to "safer addresses" that is done as a security measure, not just so
that the devs/miners know "we can't take them back" from them

What about adding some parameter which would basically say that the coins from this wallet shouldn't be moved under any circumstances with default being set to donating them after some period. That might work very much like organ donation, and the way voluntary consent is obtained (opt-in vs opt-out). In this case, both options can be used, i.e. in the case of an opt-out the coins of anyone who has not explicitly refused to donate them will be moved after the expiration of the timeout, or that timeout period could be set by default to infinity effectively meaning that the coins should never be moved. That would be the opt-in option, i.e. only the coins of those who have given explicit consent will be donated...

Also, instead of donating coins, they might be marked as just not yet mined

This mindset contradicts one of the reasons why Satoshi created Bitcoin in the first place.
Your money is your money and in theory, no one can take it away under any circumstances.
Comparing what regulated banks are allowed to do should not be applied to Bitcoin ever.

Shrouds have no pockets

There is no way anyone could access to lost bitcoin since Mr.Satoshi and the founders created blockchain technology that way.
We don't not how much bitcoin already lost until now and looks like so hard to track down all of it, I think we just let it go, nevermind.
1443  Economy / Speculation / Re: I dumped. Are you? on: December 08, 2016, 11:59:11 PM
Quote from: ElectricMucus
People still underestimate this selloff. We crossed below several trendfollowing exit thresholds so even if we rebound we are still going down.... At least till december imo.

I very much doubt that. Going totally all-in is actually an option right now, I've never seen such a buying opportunity with Bitcoin.

Yea it might be last chance to get coins at single digit.

I will stick my neck out and say this user was right.  Grin
Coming back to the present - this might be the last change to get bitcoins for $3xx
How lucky they are who find out about bitcoin when the price still at $3xx or less (in the beginning) and have faith not to dump it easily.
Well, I think it pretty hard to holding such a long time because when the price rises is attempting to selloff your coins for profits, the trend keep continue until now. We're divide here, some holders and some sell when it rises.
1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I use my small amount for GAMBLING? on: December 08, 2016, 09:59:11 PM
How am I going to use may small btc? Can somebody hep me to use this in profitable earning here..
Its hard to decide if where can I put the risk.
Thanks..
Bitcoin had change the way how people get into gambling, there is no restriction for anyone to participate as long as you have bitcoin in your wallet even a little of amount are enough to gambling. I don't know exactly which site have the minimum bet but you can wagers with small amount of bitcoin for sure like few satoshi.
1445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is the best future currency? on: December 08, 2016, 09:53:24 PM
The best reasons are:
No physical currency involve!
Well, I don't think so as physical currency has it own primacy to financial services and medium of exchange.
There are some areas that you need physical currency to pay for, and the global currency is still gold since BC until we die.
Bitcoin could be the best because of how people treat and use it as major medium of exchange, we all know why bitcoin is primary candidate for the best currency but still it's too early to say.
1446  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your bitcoins. on: December 08, 2016, 01:46:11 AM

Works great and trust

Poloniex.com - lending out to traders
Just-dice.com - bankroll for casino
Bitdice.me - bankroll for casino
Moneypot.com - wallet/bankroll for casino
Safedice.com - bankroll for casino
Crypto-games.net - bankroll for casino
Satoshidice.com - bankroll for casino (Not have 2fa)
Bitvest.io - bankroll for casino

Not trust or like
Betking.io - owner fund bankroll himself ( 1 december 2016)
Magnr.com - lending to traders for 1.28% yearly (to low to be worth it)
Btcjam.com - p2p lending
Bitbond.com - p2p lending
Diggit.io - minesweeper bankroll
Bitfinex.com - lending out to traders

P2p lending and didnt work that great. So many not pay so you get around even.
Diggit.io offline much , takes forever withdraw, owner not interest much in run it.
Bitfinex.com got hacked and got to low interest rate.

Iam not a professional just a hobby investor. Will try answer all questions. And try answer logical and rational. All investing should not be done by emotions. Investing mostly not give huge returns, and need be patient. And my answer will be based on my experince investing.
Nice list, seems all of the options are in gambling (bankroll for casino or lending to traders).
Have you mentioned about your investing progress or how to invest on these sites? Looks like interesting to see and learn about this.
1447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin impacts? on: December 07, 2016, 04:39:31 PM
For you which could be the most important impact that bitcoin have made, will make or has been making to our society?
can change live bitcoin users , bitcoin users can get million $ from bitcoin very fast
It is not that easy to earn millions from bitcoin and it just a myth ,the players who started mining in the beginning was lucky enough to earn millions and that does not mean that everyone can make millions out of it
It's not easy but it's possible, if others can do it there's a big chance we can do it as well. That will certainly base on our intention and the will to be successful in becoming rich in bitcoin, what good is there's plenty of opportunity here that we cannot miss and though risky but it's worth a try.
I think so, the most important impact for me that I could earn some money through bitcoin. If I do saving what I've earned, it's not impossible to reach million $ but need few months or years of course. Whatever it is, I think there are so many important impacts of bitcoin in our life, the most is : bitcoin change our perspective about money and banking system, become easier and fair right now with bitcoin.
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: December 06, 2016, 07:57:19 PM
I will still gamble even if i am already rich, Being rich will give me more chance to win if i will use martingale strategy because i will have a lot of money for recovering every losing bet. Also being rich will make me not think of how much i am already losing.
There are plenty of rich man that constantly do gambling and it become like a lifestyle. anothers reason why people still want to gambling even they were rich, looking for more (greediness). I will, still gambling but for fun purpose if I'm bored and just use some certain amount to spend for, so I won't loss too much.
1449  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin encourage spending and not hoarding on: December 05, 2016, 09:48:27 PM
you see now that bitcoin has a greater value it's more easy for everyone to spend 0.03/0.05 more than one times, instead of spending a greater amount, like 0.2/0.3 few times, when btc has a low value such a $250
so i think the greater is the value of bitcoin, the more people will spend it

what you think?
How you are connecting this two things together?  Roll Eyes

I don't think spending will have any connection with value of bitcoin other than the one who are holding bitcoin from really long time so they will have more in fiat, and they may tend to spend more in terms of fiat.

I think what encourage spending is back to how much merchants that accepted bitcoin in your neighborhood/city/country, if you don't have any option to spend than hoarding is one of your choice in case of savings or waiting for more stores accepted bitcoin payment.
For now fiat money become a major payment method on daily basis because it's an official and accepted currency for everyone, same thing will happen to bitcoin if we have more adoption and more stores accepted bitcoin, but I hope there is no regulations that prohibits bitcoin payment in my country in the future.
1450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: December 05, 2016, 09:14:51 PM
People here have claimed that Bitcoin is in fact controlled and ruled by China, as mining is centralized by Chinese mining institutions.

Do you think that China is controlling/ruling bitcoin yes or no?
No, I don't think so as we know that bitcoin is p2p system and owned by every user around the world which mean no one/country could really control bitcoin. Even majority of bitcoin miners located in China doesn't mean that the country control bitcoin through them and what I know that most of daily transactions (spending) occurred in US (forget where I read about it). If in China has more miners so they could manipulate bitcoin price I thought due to mostly supply comes from there with big volume of daily trading but not to take control.
1451  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: December 05, 2016, 08:32:45 PM
Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.

Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card.

Xapo, Coinbase and Circle, they are all "bitcoin banks", if someone doesn't like them, they don't have to use them...

I'm neutral on this situation, if no one harmed by bitcoin banks so why we shouldn't hate or dislike them instead of many people using their services even exchanges consider as banks as we convert through them and used it. If their services are profitable for us then why not, we use it if good for us and don't if we don't want to, simply like that.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on sport = gambling? on: December 05, 2016, 08:52:10 AM
yes of course its the same and i agree with that because there is money inside the games and we know that. but for the chances to get winning is more big for betting on sport than gambling.
But in my experience there are lots of possibilities to win big even in other types of gambling. I mean to say I am able to win big in almost all types of gambling not just with sports betting. I am unable to differentiate sports betting from some other gambling types because I do see the risk levels and profit levels are same across these two.

Actually it depends upon the odds you choose on gambling but sportsbetting has same risk to other types of gambling, Best example for these scenario is when you set 50% winning percentage on dice site and choosing 2.0 odds on sportsbetting. If you analyze carefully you have both a chance to win on both game for 50/50 ratio, Because their have same win chance, They just differ on the methodology of winning process
I do agree bet on sports is same as gambling and the chance quite good to win it due to we already analyze the game and players, in the other hand another type of gambling like dice need more cautious and strategy to win even you set the odds and 50:50% chance, the results seems unpredictable and we can't say for sure it's provably fair as it's what the sites told you.
1453  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: December 04, 2016, 11:51:41 AM
the answer is obvious , if u never got into the

property cycle or dont have the uber high paying

job or welfare Queen status with Gov supplied housing

or lastly deal drugs,

u would hate Fiat to the  core!

the endless print cycle is a joke  Cheesy

Well, I never got into those things which I could feel or hate fiat to the core.
What I hate is banking system that take your money and pressing you with debt with high interest rates, so stay away from owe money.
Fiat is neutral thing, it works as you want and still an official medium of exchange that could last for a long time.
1454  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: December 04, 2016, 10:08:19 AM
Bitcoin can be used anywhere in the world, but I think this is not yet the time to say that Bitcoin is a global currency. The vast majority of people on the planet don't know what Bitcoin is and what is the use of it. The upside is that the number of people interested in learning about it increases significantly, today there is a much larger community compared to a few years ago.
If we want to see bitcoin as global currency that regulated by every government in the world, we have to waiting for atleast a few decade. Becouse it is not easy business to make really big change in worlds payment system. Every prople in the worls must be know about bitcoin, how it is work and how to use it. But I am really sure that all people will not find any difficulty to learn about bitcoin.
We do not need because it's not gonna happen, bitcoin will destroy the system of the government from centralized to decentralized. You have no idea what will be the effect if that happens, I can see there will be a big chaos as no one will control us already and there's no restriction as complete freedom is what we have.
It will happen imho, bitcoin could be and has high chance to become global currency that accepted everywhere even we do need waiting for decades, but bitcoin won't destroy government system instead of a little change in financial and payment method.
1455  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many times have you've been scammed? on: December 04, 2016, 08:28:49 AM
What are your bad experiences in bitcoin? Not just scammed by other users it could also include HYIP, Cloud mining scams, investment scams, etc. I know it's a bad thing that happened, I think it's better to share them here so you could vent out on what you are feeling.

Feel free to post anything.
So far so good here, I always consider and do many research before invest on some sites in case I could loss and try not too hurry decide it. I've read many posts in this forum about those scam and others way to tricks you, so I won't believe on easy money to earn by investing money which could double it, seems such as scam for me  Grin
1456  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think will be a best time to buy bitcoin? on: December 04, 2016, 08:20:11 AM
It's always good time to buy Bitcoins. At the moment the price is high but it will be even higher. If you watch the market carefuly you will notice some slight oscilation in price and you can catch a moment when it drops a bit and if you buy it then you can profit the first time the price goes up.
But remember Bitcoin is the most profitable on the long term.
Bitcoin price seems rise for now and has been set at $760, I think everytime is good to buy bitcoin as the price keep increasing and may reach $1000 in the next year. If you looking for profits and still consider to buy when the price decline, we don't know when it happens or you may regret in the future because don't buy now.
1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: if you watch a sports game that you bet? on: December 04, 2016, 03:51:58 AM
Do you watch a team that you bet while playing? or you better not watch for fear of later when the team. if I personally see the team but if the team is starting to look to lose I will turn off my television
Turn off your television, lol Grin. I did watched my team/players and feel the sensations of adrenaline rush if I bet higher/big amount and enjoy an exciting match. When you watch whether your choices lose or win, at least you know why or how and as additional knowledge of sports betting.
1458  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: December 04, 2016, 03:39:25 AM
According to the article, the CEO said that " but I think bitcoin could surpass the dollar as reserve currency within 10-15 years." Bitcoin will surpass it's use against the dollar. It will be great if the majority of the people around the world use Bitcoin. If that happens, I think that will be the start of the  ruling of Bitcoin. The wallet will be a reserve, instead of having banks to be used for storing your money.

Then at that time in the future, Bitcoin has surpassed the dollar.

That is too optimistic. It will be unlikely the majority of the people around the world use Bitcoin.

Bitcoin could do it within 10-15 years, adopted by majority of the people and no need apocalypse scenario due to people should notice existence of bitcoin as worldwide currency which has many advantages and highest exchange rate. Surpass maybe but  I don't think bitcoin will replace dollar as it a state currency and consider as international most acceptable too, bitcoin may get along others currencies.
1459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do Bitcoins really circulate in a country? on: December 04, 2016, 03:10:08 AM
Bitcoins are really becoming known due to its price and demand. But how do really Bitcoins circulate one country? Does it circulate like a real money that circulate as a tax. Can someone explain it sir?

Thank you.
To circulate bitcoin doesn't need any approval from government but to get it accepted in local merchants/store government need to declare it as accepted form of currency which is happening in many countries.

circulate as a tax?
I get it what Op tried to asked, circulate as a tax? The answer is no, it doesn't circulate that way as government taxed from anything they could take and use it for country development and pay civil servant salaries. Bitcoins generated from mining process and circulate in users wallet and blockchain through transaction or you spend it to buy something and so on.
1460  Economy / Speculation / Re: voting: $750 in 1/12/2016? on: December 03, 2016, 10:46:34 AM
i am having some opinions about if the bitcoin goes to the $750 at the beginning of December:
there are more companies using bitcoin related security services, and/or the termination of 500/1000 old Indian Rupee notes are not yet being eased.

guess what, don't be panic on buying excessive bitcoins right now, don't be a greedy. if you bought bitcoins, better go long.
I think it already proven in that date, the price just reach $750 and keep rising until now even there is decreases too, but at least the price looks good for now. We might see in this month bitcoin price hit $800, as people want to buy more bitcoin due to Christmas and new year gifts.
