1041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: June 07, 2017, 02:34:45 AM
Yah, current fee is too high compared to what we have to paid in last year. When bitcoin price started to increase, transaction fees increase as well, but it seems not fair for everyone as it could take days for a transaction to be confirmed.
Who is responsible? There are some people whom get benefits more than everyone, they are the miners.
Why it take a long time to activate segwit or increase the blocksize?  Because they keep acting agree and disagree, playing a drama to prolong this problem, so they could get more fee (bitcoin) from every transaction.
1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum classic vs Ethereum on: June 06, 2017, 06:30:01 PM
IDK about the development of ETC, but the developers, marketing, managers behind ETH development should make ETH more valuable than ETC
Of course yes ETH is more valuable than ETC right now, many projects related ETH and
many projects be builded on ethereum network than be builded on ethereum classic network,
it is mean ETH is more valuable than ETC and we can check on coinmarketcap.com
also ETH's price is more expensive than ETC's price.
The most prominent thing is its price, these two coins really different, far apart.
Many projects use ethereum to  purchase their tokens, make its price has significant increases from last year.
That means people trust ethereum to become their medium of exchange.
1043  Economy / Economics / Re: The Everything Bubble on: June 06, 2017, 04:49:01 PM
This surge in the bitcoin market occurs constantly. I am sure that this is the work of whales which invest big money in speculation. If bitcoin will be the "blood" of the new economy on the Internet bubble will not burst for a long time. Now we are only at the beginning.
At least last rally take bitcoin into this all new level, more than a 100% increases within 1 month and it doesn't crash so far, just a correction but quickly recover to this price around $2700.
I didn't notice how stocks, real estate or bond implosion going through the same thing but surely it is a good movement for economics.

At least, newbie could see how it works, maybe this group will grow bigger and better.
We need more time to learn and be involved in 'buy and sell advice'
1045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it easier to buy drugs, guns, and child pornography with Bitcoin than USD? on: June 06, 2017, 12:49:12 PM
That's untrue, it's easier when the transaction goes on in the dark web  or remotely but physically I think the US dollar is often used to perpetuate these activities than any other currency.
Yeah as mostly (dark) sites use credit cards (USd or other currencies) and just few that accept bitcoin payment, not so much as USD acceptance. People like to receive cash instead of fluctuate digital currency, that's why I vote for USD than bitcoin.
1046  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: June 06, 2017, 12:33:56 AM
I have been making an analysis about how people is getting real rich thanks to the increse of BTC and it is amazing to think that people are getting real rich, lets hope and this will continue so the people that holds very little BTC also gets rich.

This is the analisis I made:

On February 1st 2015 you will need 4,219 BTC to have 1 million USD, now that is worth: 10,125,600 usd

On Febraury 1st 2016 you will need 2,681 BTC to have 1 million USD, now that is worth: 6,434,400 usd

On February 1st 2017 you will need 992 BTC to have 1 million USD, now that is worth: 2,380,800 usd

Today you need 404 BTC to have 1 million USD ( the person who has now 404 BTC it is millionaire, and in Feb 2015 just had with the same 404 BTC 95,757 USD

That is amazing.

I wonder what are the new rich people doing right know? have they realised that they are rich yet.

Great calculations, quote for reference.
Remember, bitcoin is not an easy way to become rich as there are some problems such as;
- you have invested in the early years when bitcoin launched (has passed), or
- you need much money to purchase hundreds bitcoin.
- you have to wait for long time.
We know many people who have invested on bitcoin get more in return than what they've invested.
But, how many people that have 404BTC in their storage right now? Just few lucky people I guess which could avoid temptation to sell their coins at cheaper price compare to current price.
1047  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs. World Money Supply: What happens when max. cap at max. supply? on: June 05, 2017, 10:33:26 PM
website: http://money.visualcapitalist.com/all-of-the-worlds-money-and-markets-in-one-visualization/

What do you think will happen when Bitcoin market cap. hits $5 trillion USD?
What about (broad money) ~$80.9 trillion?
This is an old article, from December 17, 2015 by Jeff  Desjardins. Bitcoin market cap has changed since then according to blockchain.info bitcoin market cap is $41,195,730,259 right now. If it increase become 5,000,000,000,000, then bitcoin price will reach an fantastic number, but I'm not sure whether it will happen or not, and it takes how many years?
But, people should pay higher fees for every transaction, hopefully not so much as this is another problem in bitcoin market.
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China's central bank will soon regulate ICO's on: June 05, 2017, 09:55:05 PM
Bitcoin is very popular in China. In fact, Chinese Bitcoin investors are driving the Bitcoin bull market. Why shouldn't in China be a big number of ICO investors as well?

does china play any role in the ico scene at all? all they can do is try to restrict their citizens. they'll probably find a way anyway.

whatever they get up to, ico days are numbered. there's too much money flying around for it to go unnoticed.

It easy for Chinese bitcoin investors to driving the bull in their country whether it goes up or decline again, because it depend on trading volume. People always a way to trade outside the country if they prohibit such kind  activities, like they did with 3 biggest exchanges in China. But, the most interesting part is, how they gonna stop ico? If the crowdfunding process going through a wallet (ex: blockchain or eth wallet) which is not an exchange.
1049  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have a future? on: June 05, 2017, 08:48:47 PM
i will say that bitcoin have a good future as bitcoin can be another solution for the economic money transaction and it help people to manage their own capital. with the approving from government, i think bitcoin will help many people to control their finance and the best important is bitcoin can help people to make money so bitcoin can be a new function that will work the best for people that want to earn some money with free or by buying bitcoin itself.
yes everyone is sure about the future of bitcoin, I am sure that bitcoin is going to increase. in fact the news about the legalization of bitcoin by the Japan really boost the price of bitcoin and I am sure that in near future there are so many other important new are waiting to hear about bitcoin. which will also bring a good impact on the future of bitcoin, it will really make the future of bitcoin more beautiful.
I think Bitcoin have a really really bright future ahead of them. As you can clearly see the progress in development and acceptance of Bitcoin and also the growth rate it exhibit is outstanding so there is no reason to say no to a bright future ahead.
Bitcoin can not help people in order to control their finance because it is just a medium of exchange, store of value, bitcoin simply just a digital currency.
Hard to predict what will happen in the future, but right now bitcoin still has great potential and high price (still increase), then mostly people will say it has bright future and even will be better in the future.
Btcjam is a firm that offer lending and credit bitcoin, so it doesn't affect bitcoin development as much as Op said.
1050  Economy / Speculation / Re: We're reaching $3,000 soon! on: June 05, 2017, 06:05:11 PM
Is $50,000 reachable? Harder but not impossible!  (>10 years)
I would like to sleep today and wake up after 10 years and hope to see this price  Grin
Some well known gigs have also predicted even $1 million is possible per bitcoin within next 10-20 years.
Then there's nothing to do but saving and doubled your bitcoin savings, wait for 10 years later and we will become a rich person.
But how much people could hold for such a long time? I guess people intend to be tempted by a little bit increases if we compare to those prices, sell their bitcoin for cash and then buy back at the dip if its price decline.
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of many reasons why I love bitcoin on: June 05, 2017, 05:37:39 PM
Mostly people may have the same thought about bitcoin value which has been proven always increase over time.
That's why this coin become a store of value as an investment object or use it to make profit through daily trading.
If more countries regulated and adopt bitcoin as legal digital currency, than maybe people could easily spend their bitcoin to pay some bills.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DCORP Crowdsale - Democratizing Venture Capitalism on: June 04, 2017, 08:27:58 PM
Dcorp crowdsale seems very interesting, in just 4 days 2782 ETH has been raised or 610,696 Eur which this project consider funded and viable if at least 724,000 Eur could be achieved, the crowdsale will gain more than just minimum amount for ico to be success obviously. But, I want to ask about business proposal is created on which the shareholders can vote, what kind of business? Is there any business proposal that has been planned to be funded? I'm sorry if I miss it and has been explained before. Thank you for your answers.
1053  Economy / Economics / Re: The Crash is gone, and we will see 3,500 usd within 60 days from today on: June 04, 2017, 04:53:16 PM
I don't think a decrease from $2700 to $2000 is a crash, consider how bitcoin rise up faster than we thought (bull run), so I prefer to said that just another correction which triggered by people who want to get more money instead of keeping their bitcoin. Furthermore, that was a common thing in bitcoin market, if we look at the graphs of bitcoin in the past.
1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Holding On To Your Bitcoin? on: June 04, 2017, 04:22:03 PM
I would assume that all of us here are 100% sure that Bitcoin is rising in value and the recent correction many days ago is just a temporary setback and in fact Bitcoin is now again rising in price albeit a more timid way.

With this scenario in mind, majority of Bitcoin holders are not spending their Bitcoin but holding them just like a precious gold somewhere in the cyberspace.  The mantra seems to be HOLD HOLD HODL HODL and I am seeing it everywhere in Facebook, forums, group chats and even in cafeterias worldwide.

Together with the increasing demand coming from Japan, et. al., this in turn is helping  push the Bitcoin upwards and once the scaling problem can be solved by August we are expecting that Bitcoin can jumping with joy and a resurgence like we have never seen before.

Just hold them and never be tempted to sell or you would later on regret as if 50% of you died digitally.

Mostly will do the same thing for bitcoin due to limited options where to spend bitcoin, transaction problem or high fees.
So, people tend to hold it because the value increase as well as time goes on, year after year.
But, bitcoiners really need to solve transaction problems to make it grow bigger enough to penetrate in every country.
1055  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is a bubble that's gonna burst... on: June 03, 2017, 11:30:28 PM
Bitcoin has been going through the same way until today, sometimes bubble then decline
Quote
when everyone with the desire and means to buy in and has already bought in, there's nobody left to buy in at a higher price
At that point, bitcoin price will significant decrease again due to many adopters don't want miss out the chance to get profits, sell at higher rate.
Quote
bubbles that will soon pop as price crashes back to near-zero.
But not to near zero obviously, just a bit dip for a while because it always increase over time.
That isn't just a theory as we have seen the prove over the past 8 years. People believe in bitcoin and support its existence on economics circulation.
1056  Economy / Economics / Re: What is occurring when someone sells 1 BTC at a price lower than he/she bought? on: May 31, 2017, 11:55:51 PM
Your loss -$103 become an advantage for others obviously, you can consider it was used for benefit of society.
But for me, it just a loss which could be avoided if you were not in hurry to sell bitcoin. Yes, it close to breaking even but in bitcoin environment, people could make more than just break even in the right time.
1057  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turn $10,000 into 1 Million on: May 31, 2017, 11:22:28 PM
I would like to see how your investment growing, as trading altcoins is not for long term I guess where it could dump and never arise again.
However, turn $10,000 into $1Million maybe take months or even years due to competition that happened there cause profit and loss as well.
did you invest all $10,000 just into those coins? and How long do you think your goal will be achieved?
1058  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: May 31, 2017, 06:22:37 PM
Personally, if I'm in a coffee shop or any store with some people, I pull out my wallet and subtly show them my Xapo debit card.

If you'd be doing this here you will quickly lose a lot of friends.
Around here only gypsies are opening their wallets wide so anyone can see how many cards or notes they have in.

You're better of wearing  bitcoin t-shirt.
There are some really cool ones for sale. (with btc of course).

A good way to show how much I love bitcoin, wear a bitcoin t-shirt imo. There won't be any people intrigued and ask about bitcoin if we never mentioned about bitcoin. Usually, I just write some stuff related to bitcoin, money (btc value) and blockchain to attract friends ask about it, well it works sometime. But, the best way is explain directly to my friend, currently ; all of my close friend know about bitcoin or at least ever heard I mentioned it.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DCORP Crowdsale - Democratizing Venture Capitalism on: May 31, 2017, 05:31:40 PM
It is true that ETH value have increase more then 50% and according to it they have to first fix the price of 1 ETH equal to how many DCORP tokens because the away the price is moving we cannot say how much the price of ETH will be till the ICO ends.
Although it will be a good if they increased the number of tokens, Sad to say that there's only a little chance of that happenning . Have you read what the devs says about it? (quoted it below)Which fairly makes sense . Since DRP is backed by ether so if the price of it increases, the same will also happen to DRP which is a good thing for investors because it doesn't makes sense that this will the last time ether will pump . There will be more to come and the same also applies on DRP  Wink

The value is backed by Ether it's likely that this will increase the price of the DRP (tokens) beside that it's also suggests that the prospect of dividend and growth are also increased.  We really need derivatives now on the Blockchain Smiley
Please don't forget also that it is not the only way to gain profits on DRP . To make it short, The profit of every product  they managed and developed will be divided to the developers/managers and shareholders . What's great is if you own DRP token you automatically beome a shareholder and has a right to vote on the upcoming projects . Note that the projects are all going to be ethereum related, so if a one proj. succeded it'll be both good to DRP as well as ether . A win-win situaton indeed Grin Grin

An amazing increase of ethereum which affected business sector including Dcorp crowdsale, although it makes token price more expensive but it's calming to know DRP token will increase as well, so that every investor would gain more profits as long as you are not in hurry to dump when it listed on exchanges. This is a great project that allows shareholders which Dcorp generates growth and a steady stream of income for its shareholders. Yes, we do like win-win situation.
1060  Economy / Speculation / Re: IF eth takes over from BTC will BTC then face a relative colapse? on: May 31, 2017, 04:42:37 PM
Ethereum simply can not take over, because people still prefer to bitcoin while at current price eth take high fees, how about higher price such as experienced by bitcoin. There are a lot of projects using ethereum as medium of exchange and the price continue to increase, but still there are some potential coins such as byteball and zcash. The main thing is trading volume and people interest at cryptocurrency, bitcoin will remain as the best coin so far and people tend to convert ethereum into bitcoin in the end of the day.
