1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I'm selling all my alt coins and putting everything into Golos on: May 30, 2017, 05:17:16 AM
How long you think it would be, like make you rich with your current investment if its going to happen with golos?

Good question. I think if this current crypto bull market continues then the market will realise soon enough that Golos is undervalued. Maybe 1-2 months.

However if we enter a bear market then btc and most alt coins will correct sharply including Golos, and I don't think the Golos pump will happen during this time. What do you think?

Yeah, as bear market could emerge at any time but if golos really has potential then it should rise.
About how long, I think you already stated it ; So the market cap of Golos is about 53 times smaller than Steemit, but there are only 3.8 more English speakers than Russian speakers. All other things being equal the market cap of Golos should be 3.8 times smaller than Steemit, so $56 million (instead of the current $4 million)

Steemit is about 13 months old
Golos is about 4 months old

Which means 13-4 = 9 months, consider how a coin could grow based on market movement and demands, at least you should wait for 9 months later (like waiting for the birth of a child, but here for your wealth).
But it may depend on your funds that has been invested, if you don't mind, may I ask how much your investment in golos? maybe just say around $5,000 without exact number. And how much I have to invest which could make me at least closer to become rich? Grin
1062  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's price is so volatile right now! Why should I even hold? on: May 30, 2017, 04:40:47 AM
With the price of Bitcoin being so volatile should we ever consider buying or even holding if we have bitcoins?

What are your thoughts??? What should we do??

As it stands today at this moment, the Bitcoin volatility index reads:
4.57% the latest 30-day volatility estimate
3.54% the latest 60-day volatility estimate

The bitcoin volatility index for present day can be seen at: https://btcvol.info/

My opinion of bitcoin longterm can be investigated here in this post titled "Hacks & puppets & forks - how to destroy bitcoin": https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1834310.0

It's already decline right now, become ;
3.92% the latest 30-day volatility estimate
3.01% the latest 60-day volatility estimate

Bitcoin prices always be volatile, as long as people trade it and doesn't have a large market cap yet such as major currencies or at least like gold.
Why you should even hold? Because the price will continue to rise year after year and you won't regret it when bitcoin reach $10,000 or even $50,000 who knows how big it could be. Buying? yes. holding? yes.
1063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was it due to Ransomware? on: May 29, 2017, 09:15:20 PM
So I have just heard that the pump or rise in bitcoin value was due to the recent Ransomware attack. And after the recent drop, it makes sense too, I mean the price went up considerably as the demand of bitcoin went up, and now probably they are cashing in their rewards and hence the value is going down.
What do you think?
Totally no, latest rally seems as accumulated adoption in worldwide due to every exchange may shown different price.
I've never heard about someone forced to buy bitcoin because ransomware attack, maybe this attack famous in some countries but not so much affected bitcoin. Thief can not simply just threaten for bitcoin and then cash out their rewards and they could be traced, such as bitfinex bitcoin which barely not move for months.
1064  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin was at 2500$ on: May 29, 2017, 07:44:44 PM
Hello,
Bitcoin was very high, at 2500$, now it falled.
Do you think it will stay at 2000$?
'Bitcoin is pretty much dead at this point, soon the value of BTC will reach zero, so pls sell all your coins now, while they are still worth something.'

Actually this sentence above is the mantra of newbies and haters. They have no idea how markets works, that here is something called correction.
What happened yesterday is simply a correction record. You can read more about it here: http://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/25/bitcoin-price-correction-record-high.html

Lol, stop here. Grin
Nice advice for newbies, so they will sell it at cheaper price and will regret after a while.
Current price are $2200 - $2300 on some exchanges which consider high point for me, if you thought that $2500 was the highest one.
Please research and read carefully newbie, bitcoin won't fail as long as people support it, it has been proven always recover after correction, even after some crash. Trust me, it works.
1065  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long does a trade take? on: May 29, 2017, 06:10:34 PM
How long does a trade take?

It depends on what kind of trader you are, if you are a day trader a trade will last anything from a few hours to some minutes, if you prefer to trade long term then a trade could last weeks months or even years, there are many people that hold bitcoin since the beginning and have not sold their coins, so that means they have maintained their positions for almost a decade.

Indeed, there is no certain answer as some coin should be different with other coins, some could pump and dump within hours and others could take days or even month to get decent profit but usually ended with loss because not only one person who after the best peak to sell. There are plenty of traders who competes to get money from others, that's why just few people get profits while mostly always loss.
If you want take a look at daily % movement of cryptocurrencies, visit http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ then you will see how much its changing.
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I'm selling all my alt coins and putting everything into Golos on: May 29, 2017, 04:40:38 PM
Remember you should never put all your eggs in one basket, you probably should only move like 5% of your portfolio into any coin, but it's your money.

Good luck.

I also own a small business, so its not like all my eggs are in one basket. Just lots of them  Cool

I hope you were right to put lots of your funds into golos coin, I just came to know about this coin, thanks for share and the data of course. Need more time to read about it and learn the market, whether it will be like your prediction or something else. How long you think it would be, like make you rich with your current investment if its going to happen with golos?
1067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banned in Ecuador on: May 29, 2017, 03:07:08 PM
Same as Ecuador Russia banned the usage of bitcoin into the country. This didn't last long, and in a short the ban of the bitcoin into the country was taken back and the government too has focused on making use of the technology behind bitcoin for the effective functioning of the country's financial system.

How long bitcoin was banned in Russia? as Ecuador has banned bitcoin for 3 years, and this is 3rd world countries which has slow economic growth compare to Russia. Furthermore, if their citizens proven have bitcoin will ended with confiscate and the risk of prosecution as well that prevent people from trade it freely. Ecuador government maybe banned cryptocurrencies to eliminate rivals of the country’s own digital currency, the Dinero Electrónico.
1068  Economy / Economics / Re: The best investment you ever made? on: May 28, 2017, 04:08:06 PM
Although everyone says bitcoin is best, but we must divide our money into some investments such as mutual funds, stocks, gold, land and so on. Because we don't know the future day of the bitcoin.

But the sign already shown and bitcoin price had reach more than $3000 and even above $4000 on south korean.
This is still the beginning race, who involved earlier are the most benefited but we still have a good chance to get bitcoin as much as we can to wait for the upcoming years when bitcoin worth more than $5000 for sure. Then, you can convert it and buy land or gold as you want but bitcoin still one of the best investment which growing rapidly.
1069  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to make 1 bitcoin in a month or 2? on: May 28, 2017, 03:07:21 PM
Earning a bitcoin in this time without investment is really hard, its value is rapidly increasing in overseas markets. However, you can still earn bitcoin through social media programs or signature campaigns.
It is not hard to earn a bitcoin in a month or two for skillful people. If they have some special skills then they from this forum can get some orders for the work and can earn that money from this single platform easily. While for non skilled people it is really very hard to earn without any investment.

That is the problem; not everyone skillful to earn 1 btc per month, even investment project is a secret door which only few lucky people who knows it.
Then, mostly people suggest to trading altcoins, but you need big capital first and enough knowledge to avoid loss.
Furthermore, if you know how to get it ; will you tell people how to get it? We should learn and develop ourselves skills to make it, right. There is no a definite answer for everyone.
1070  Economy / Economics / Re: why all coins is much more expensive in korea on: May 28, 2017, 08:14:49 AM
Why do people have to be stupid?

exactly why ? Smiley

eth bıthumb prıze ıs 286 dolar
eth polo prıze ıs 183 dolar

ısnt here any stupidity.

why peope buy ıt from 286 dolar even polo has ıt from 186 or just the opposıte. why polo sellıng ıt.

I understand your concern and that's only mean people in South Korean can't or just a few who can deposit fiat money into Poloniex to buy bitcoin or other coins and withdraw KRW from Bithumb. And cryptocurrencies adoption in there has grown rapidly because government and banks support it.
"The South Korean government has been very friendly towards digital currencies, and the country is steadily becoming a technology hub. Just recently the government lowered the equity capital requirement for bitcoin companies working with remittances. The new statutes will begin on June 18 with a reduction of required capital to 1 billion KRW in contrast to the prior requirement of 2 billion KRW.
Additionally, researchers from the South Korean central bank recently released a report that detailed that virtual currencies like bitcoin can “coexist with fiat.”
. In the past few days, bitcoin price has reach $4494 per btc in South Korean, fantastic inceases compare to global price. Read more http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-05-25/bitcoin-blows-throuigh-2500-2600-2700-overnight-south-korea-demand-soars
1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: May 28, 2017, 06:47:32 AM
Out of question, do not left your real life job and focus on this forum earning especially if you don't have great skills to offer because there are plenty of expert in here which become your competitor to get a job or profits. Treat bitcoin as one of your source income to get extra money, as your investment for long term purpose. More sources of income is better than just rely on one source, then create another way to earn more.
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest? on: May 28, 2017, 01:49:52 AM
Same question as in topic.
Where you invest your money today?
Btc, Ltc, Eth, Lisk or what?

I would diversify my investment, like 50% to buy bitcoin and 50% for ethereum. These two coins has bigger chance to rise rapidly as there are many supports out there using bitcoin and ethereum as medium of exchange to develop their business. 2 months ago when ethereum price only $18 - bitcoin at $1000 and now each just reach $164 and $2000, amazing increases within 2-3 months. I believe these coins will continue to rise and your money will doubled of course.
1073  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whether bitcoin able to penetrate the price of 5000 $ on: May 27, 2017, 12:11:58 PM
When viewed from the bitcoin price charts it seems that prices continue to climb, for until the end of this year can be bitcoin penetrate the price 5000 $

Let's share your prediction here?
Have you not seen the current bitcoin development?

Look at this time bitcoin is experiencing a dramatic decline, the price of the original $ 2700 down to 2000 $ in just one day, this is one of the fastest and largest price reduction bitcoin I've ever tasted. We have to pause to talk about 5000 $.
Have you seen the difference between some exchanges? Do you know an exchange had reached more than $3500?
Bitcoin adoption worldwide and legalized in Japan and being used as medium of exchange in some countries or treated as store of value make bitcoin skyrocket recently and will recover again for sure. Only scale problem which prevent bitcoin still not reach $5000 right now.

1076  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: May 27, 2017, 07:10:30 AM
In situation right now i dont think that bitcoin will back to the value of it years before atleast 1000$ and this year then the price of it is almost 2500$.
1000$ is impossible in todays situation.

Well in just a couple of day its down from all time high of 2500$ + to already 2000$ approx. So its quite possible that in coming day it may even break 1500$ and go down. Because there was no actual reason that bitcoin went from 2000 to 2500 $ within so short span of time.

I'm still wondering what causes the dump, I was out the whole day yesterday and I was quite surprise to find out that people are starting dumping it and triggering this this panic selling. Its not around $2000 but I hope it will just stay there. People should start buying now, because I don't think that bitcoin can go below sub $1000. Maybe this is just a correction as others have pointed out, but I still think that bitcoin can go up again anytime soon and recover the last price ($2700-$2800).

Agreed, I didn't find anything - regards bad news that affected bitcoin to fall and it seems like a correction after incredible increases in this month, people started to extract their money which has invested to get profits while others regret because too late cause panic sell. But, there will be always some people who don't want to sell bitcoin and prefer it as long term investment. So, I don't think bitcoin could drop back below $1000 at this point due to the price persist at $2000 right now.
1077  Economy / Speculation / Re: what happened for the market? on: May 27, 2017, 06:24:15 AM
Why the price going down from 2600$ to 1988$?
Is there any poilcy from state?

Found this on Reddit, not saying bitcoin is dead or going to die or destroyed or would it survive etc etc. If you observe BTC charts, it follows a pattern and almost everytime this pattern keeps repeating. There is nothing to panic about it, this is is how the BTC market works.
Quote for reference.
Nice charts to compared and that's true, represent what happens today.
People always looking for easy money, so they buy at lower price and wait for higher peak to cash out, this is the outcome ; bitcoin price drop back like crazy like $800 and furthermore maybe decline for another $1500.
There are some people who regret didn't sell for sure but no need to worry as bitcoin will recover again and reach more than $2500 next month.

1079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: May 26, 2017, 04:43:48 PM
Everyone wanted higher bitcoin price and we achieved this but another problem become transaction fees. When bitcoin's price was low, we had to pay also low fee and now when it rised, we have to pay high fee in bitcoins and plus that high fee is more higher with current price. Is this fair? The higher the price, the more money miners have with bitcoin exchange.
To my mind when price becomes high, we have to pay low fee and when it becomes low, than fee has to be high. To my mind it had to be done like this from the begining.
Yes, it is not fair as bitcoin price increase and fees worth slightly more according to the price, but we should pay higher fees and still wait for longer time to get transaction be confirmed.
I guess it can be like that if people don't have to pay higher fees to make their transaction confirmed faster which refers to block size limit, if SegWit activated and block size increase then it will resolved, maybe.
1080  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading alts/btc can be treated like full time job/real business? on: May 26, 2017, 11:00:56 AM
For some people, yes they treated trading as full time job and could earn decent profits, as I know someone who did that and then start to build real life business besides his online projects. But for average people who don't know where or how to make sufficient money to cover daily expenses, better to treat it as side job or a hobby to make an extra money because you could loss in the process obviously.

People who have big funds and experiences will get more profit than who doesn't, so realize your knowledge and your place before decide to go full time in trading market before you regret it.
