1441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10 tips to manage one's emotions while trading crypto. on: July 18, 2023, 10:49:33 AM
These aren't really tips that people don't already know, the problem is not awareness about these aspects of trading. We all know we're prone to emotion in trading, same as gambling.

Here's a real tip that helped me in real life with forex and gambling (and it's exactly the same tip for trading).

Tell someone you trust totally. A close friend, maybe even a spouse. Or a brother/sister. Tell them exactly everything, I found this helped with another friend. He watched me and I watched him. But you must be open with each other 100%

When you are losing, your emotions can't be controlled. But your friend isn't affected, and he can tell you to stop, or to take a break. And you do the same for him.

You see all these tips are pointless because when you're caught up in emotion, you don't think rationally anymore. So you need help from someone objective. If you tell them "stop me when I lose my deposit". He will stop you because it's not his money and he's not losing.
1442  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: July 18, 2023, 08:02:45 AM
Arsenal?! After all the BelieveTheHype you're dumping for another girlfriend? Tsssh, maybe Declan Rice ate into their budget lol

Really strange sports to bet, but i think you can look on Brasileirao (brazilian football) its a very good league with high level in some matches.

It was due to the question on BSFL, are you in BSFL btw ? If you are not then you should check it out if you are a sports enthusiast  Smiley

Yes, please join us: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5438071.msg62567020#msg62567020

It is like just Sportsbet sponsored Sports Leagues, all the weird sports and regular ones in there. We had cycling, we're going to have MMA and boxing, and this week it's golf and volleyball and water polo Wink
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: July 18, 2023, 06:53:04 AM
Great article Trofo as usual. Does cryptofrka help write this or is he usually too drink?

Saintloup, I only realized, is gone from cup, from reading this (somehow I missed!).

All good bro no need to be sorry, a win for you is a lesson for myself as always I just gotta do better going forward.

Congrats hope you go far. Grin Grin Grin

Thank you bro! Whoever wins deserves it. I believe I was 3rd place in cup last season but that was with less people so it is much harder now for sure. But back to the league of course for a time being. GL!

I don't know... Look at me. In the last season I was invincible and in the season I have only one win if I remember correctly. I agree that some of you sport fanatics maybe get a little cocky when answering football questions but I don't follow sport that much (at least I didn't before this competititon), but somehow I always managed to win in the last season. Maybe it's just a matter of the "big boys" division this time so I'm up against the best Smiley Anyhow, I hope I don't get relegated in the first season in division 1 Smiley

I guess that mean my analogy is right because for most football question, I don't even open any sportbook to decide more often than not, the only time I usually do is when we are asked to guess the line up or the players to score a goal or make any an assist, but I can't complain because it put other opponents on their toes as well, and we can't rely on just a general analogy, we'll get more contrast responses for with these questions.

I'm really just looking to pick up points against opponents that are the potential favorites for the 1st position, and that's why it really is a must win affair for me versus jeremy, I'd say.

Trust me guys, this is more about luck. Same experience as slackovic, last season I just couldn't get a single win, and so far this season I am a little bit comfortable. My understanding of sports did not change at all, just the luck. For example in one round I managed only to score 2 points and yet so did my opponent and I managed a draw.

Last season I believe one round I scored 6 points, which was a round only 3 or 4 people got that much, and I of course also met that same fellow lol

It seems we are all the same, football we don't even look at odds, we already know who to pick in our hearts, but still good to look up news about injuries or who's playing depending on teams. Like some teams you know almost all 11 plays all the time, but Chelsea and City have 3 squads, that's something I still have to look up and guess.
1444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin leave to be decentralized on: July 17, 2023, 09:02:08 AM
Bitcoin is decentralized for sure but I don't think that's why people adopt it and I guess here we're talking about payment method right?

Investment is a different thing and but people also don't invest in it because of decentralization (they don't care).

Bitcoin is the most widely accepted. It will never go down. It cannot be doublespent without problems. It cannnot be taken down by governments. And it's the easiest to use.

That is why people adopt it. I know Bitcoin is like this because it is the most decentralized coin, but you could argue other coins are also similarly decentralized but without the same advantages I mentioned.
1445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: July 17, 2023, 07:41:16 AM
~snip
La Liga is my favourite league, but seems that my own performance is getting worse each season.

it is my favorite league as well, but had to let others win it last season
on the bright side, Valencia succeeded in relegation fight, and it was really intense at one point, hopefully this season will be very different on that matter

although, looking at transfer rumors' and activity so far, seems that Valencia is heading to one more hard season

I guess in the end favorite has nothing to do with expertise lol I mean, my luck in pools and now in BSFL is going up and down, and if anyone looks, none of the "rankings" will tell a true picture about how much I like or follow a particular league.

I'll always remember casper updating us about Valencia, for now, I will wait on odds for them and Sevilla to see if I place early bets or put them on early blacklist Wink
1446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: July 17, 2023, 06:36:44 AM
Sorry about the penalty win Jinetics111 but that was literally a coinflip.

Didn't do so well to get a draw but as long as we progress it's all that matters.

@notblox1 yes please submit a UFC question! jeremypwr already sent one, so maybe we get 2 Wink

The volleyball and Golf are a bit hard to find, but good luck everybody searching, I'll let everyone flex hehe
1447  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading Tools (120% APY) on: July 17, 2023, 05:30:02 AM
OP may be one of those 5% who are not greedy and has a plan to slowly achieve their goals, but tools themselves do not generate profit, I guess that is clear to everyone.

I wish that was. Newbies still get duped into paying for "tools" and signals and easy money making strategies. I know for forex people used to do this, and the benefit was from commissions. If you get 1000 people to trade even 1 pip you get a lot of money for that, recurring mostly since people who lose in trading often pump in more.

I don't know if it works the same for BTC trading but I'm not surprised if that is the way. That's what I think of when I see posts from OP anyway.
1448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My story about bitcoin and my old friend. on: July 16, 2023, 10:56:56 AM
Well, if you think this story is bullshit and not true, then you are being too negative. I still believe the OP's story, and I don't think it's bragging but a confiding between two friends. Because I always share these with my brother and a few of my closest friends as well. We share everything about family, life, and money, and if given the opportunity, we will work together.

For me, people who are always talking about morality or gossiping on social media about work or wealth, that are called bragging. And when sharing with relatives and friends, it is only for confiding.

I don't think, I'm like 100% sure I'm willing to bet BTC on it.

It's not bragging, if it's not even true.

I'm very positive about true Bitcoin stories and true sharing and experiences. I'm very negative about spreading false information and spam on this forum because actual newbies get misled by the fake stories that you see more and more coming up.

I don't confide except in my very best friend and that's not even everything about my personal life.

In any way, as I said, OP's not coming anytime to prove the story anyway. Believe what you want, but this forum has better quality Bitcoin content than these fake stories!
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: July 16, 2023, 09:49:11 AM
I paid for both pools already, nice to use campaign payments from Livecasino and consolidate them together Smiley

I noticed min BTC payment for withdrawal from both Sportsbet and Livecasino is 2 mbtc, so I couldn't pay from there as usually do all the time, but no problem of course. Seems like BTC has become quite expensive and that's good for us.

Next season to pay attention, I drew with leea in BSFL so surely I can also tie with him in Serie A lol

Nobody wants Juventus next season? New look and no more in Super League!!
1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: July 16, 2023, 06:54:00 AM
Guess Djokovic will not get Over 3.5 losses unless he loses the final. That was sort of my safety pick in case he loses, but my opponent also has it since he went with him losing, so I'm going to be sweating in this final.

Cool pick from LFC_Bitcoin about O Jaboer... and well deserved progress.
1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: July 15, 2023, 05:47:06 AM
I don't know about you guys but this is my favorite pool, followed by Champions League. That doesn't mean I do well in it, it's just my favorite league, with my favorite team and my favorite sports.

I will send PM with payment details. Always a good idea to pay as early as possible because BTC always higher end of season Wink

Barca just got slapped with UEFA fine. I have a feeling it's more bad news coming Sad
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: July 14, 2023, 11:28:52 AM
Man I hate web sites with more adds than content, but OK. Bookmarked the site so I'm prepared for the CS:GO questions...

I see that a lot of you went with the option that Mexico will win the final by 1 goal. I thought about it but it looked to me like there is a better chance for them to cover 1,5 handicap than to win by exactly 1 goal. I just checked and I see that they won 3-0 against Jamaica so I guess it's a "wins confidently" :-)

Adblocker man, those usually work well against video sites with ads like youtube. So far I found anyway.

I'm also surprised by majority Mexico small handicap. I feel like they're way stronger than Jamaica, like way way stronger. I actually even believed they would hit 4 or 5 goals lol

How is everyone doing in BSFL Cup this week?
I am not doing very good at all with only one correct answer, but lucky for me that Kanapka is even worse than me until now Smiley
Unlike me, LFC_Bitcoin and vd309 are doing very good so far.

I'm doing ok 2 points... who would expect 6 goals or more for Question 5, who else but my opponent lol

At least we won't draw this round though Smiley
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: July 14, 2023, 10:09:19 AM
He did actually act like a spoiled brat there but I think there's a root over all those things that's why he acted like that. It just all piled up and so he released it in the octagon which is a big mistake. He really looked like a villain while saying all those things to Dricus Du Plessis. Some people are looking up to Israel Adesanya and think of him as their hero, this act will probably decrease the number of fans that follows him.

Now, it is a must-win fight for The Stylebender. He must prove all the words that came out of his mouth on that day. Also, because of the less damage that Drucus received during the fight against Robert Whittaker, they might schedule it as early as they can so fasten your seatbelts because we will see the champion fight again and try to defend his title.
I am excited but I am kind of in doubt with the odds that will be given by our favorite sports bookies. I wish 1.50 - 1.70 for Adesanya.

Is it me or is this sport full of spoiled brats and whining losers lol. Or maybe I'm mixing up MMA with UFC but they're the same thing right??

I tried watching a few videos too and got a bit annoyed all of it is just so much trash talk that reminds me of WWE (except obviously, WWE fights are all staged).

Adesanya is a sure thing for next few more years I believe, as a guy who only watches main news Tongue
1454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina Launches it's First Bitcoin Futures Contract, Brazil To Follow.. on: July 14, 2023, 08:54:39 AM
Argentinian citizens are already long long ago moving into Bitcoin on their own, nobody needed to wait for futures, so I doubt this is really strong news for the country. Plus, the people I hear don't even trust their government so they would not like to participate in this futures thing. Or maybe its just for rich guys who don't know the difference with real Bitcoin and fake Bitcoin.

Right darxiaomi?
1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Prelim Qualifiers on: July 14, 2023, 07:52:41 AM
I saw that the qualifier with Israeli team was halted due to ongoing violence from both sides in Israel Palestine war. I always thought that was neverending but thanks to football news I realized it was actually going up in rate and seriousness for a few weeks now.

Back home the news isn't covered at all because of sensitivities.

I know Ukraine Russia problem made Russia the outcast, I wonder why Israel doesn't have same sanctions? Curious, not interested in politics, just trying to get a better picture.

Nice shares guys, I have to not share my stats because it would reveal what kind of idiot gambler I am lol and worse, most of the stats come not from my early days but from after 20k BTC days so the amounts for me personally are quite embarassing considering my personal situation.

I'm almost break even (stats show slight profit) but because I had a security incident a few years back I lost money, now mission is to get it all back with Lambo lol
1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: July 13, 2023, 08:14:24 AM
Seems like all except one guy managed to take advantage of VAR, great job, unfortunately most of the late games very hard for us in Asia to follow anyway. I did it for previous rounds but cup round was too tiring to try stay up and find the breaks to play, but very happy I started off well with 1 point already. Many of us tried to catch YES because of previous favorites performance but I guess it's 50/50 in the end!

About esports, I have a dumb question to ask but does anyone still play things like C&C like in team? Or Starcraft? I still see kids playing them in cybercafes.
1458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Prelim Qualifiers on: July 13, 2023, 07:11:03 AM
Well, my fears about playing in Faroe Islands wasn't without a reason as it was dull game and Ferencvaros was far from winning it. Anyway, other part of my parlay also wasn't successful as Balkani made upset by beating Ferencvaros 2:0. Zalgiris disappointed me too as they didn't showed anything against Struga. At least Qarabag saved my bet on last minutes.
Not that much options to bet today. I'm going with HJK and Slovan parlay with bet boost and over 2.5 @1.62 in Farul - Sheriff game.

Man I need to pay attention next time and start betting on these weird teams I think anyone who did so would be in big profit so far. Qarabag is a very familiar name somehow, you think they can make the group stages this time?

Multibets are dangerous here, only ML bets from now on I feel is the way to proceed in these qualifiers.
1459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My story about bitcoin and my old friend. on: July 13, 2023, 03:50:41 AM
-snip-

And proving to your friend what you have made from your Bitcoin investment is not a good idea because he may think you are trying to mock him, which may lead him to start thinking negatively and try to take bad action against you.

Why don't we think in a more positive way? That's not mocking, what OP meant is that if his friend wants to be like him, then change yourself and take the chance instead of letting it pass again. What I'm seeing is that the OP is more open to his friend and more willing to share the opportunity with him. If he wanted to show off and piss off the other guy, they didn't talk for long, and the OP didn't share his success.
For me, this is not bragging but proof to skeptics and the best advice, nothing more practical than giving them the evidence they need.

I prefer to think in a more negative way. That all these stories are fake and mean nothing, because they're just made up. I mean, are we all really going to sit around believing that in normal life we talk with our friends about investment and showing off how much money we made? Man, I don't even do that in real life with real money.

I hate showing people bitcointalk these days in the Bitcoin discussion because of this nonsense. My friends read all these posts, they'll think I'm one of these guys.

This is not proof to skeptics, this is proof so many posters are bullshitters and not real Bitcoiners.
1460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: A safe haven in times of economic recession? on: July 12, 2023, 06:35:30 AM
I agree it's a "Safe haven" for a long period of time. Compared to currencies like my own and all the friends I know who struggle every day with daily expenses rising and costs of everything going up while salary remains the same and savings interest isn't matching inflation.

But BTC vs USD ever since the economic recession has been terrible, USD hit all time highs against so many currencies while BTC is still less than 50% of USD ATH. So what's this talk about safe haven? Why can't Bitcoin just be a normal long-term savings 10-year value going up deal?
That long period of time part is the most important part and yes I agree that it's a safe haven for a long period of time but not so much for the short term at all. I know that it's not going to be that easy to do something like this and then go ahead and just end up with a bad result in the first week and leave, that would be bad.

If you invest, you should invest knowing that bitcoin would be a good profit maker for you on the very long term, but you can't be expecting that to have a good return in the first month or two. I hope to retire by the time I am 40-45, which means I have a bit more time before that, and I base that on how much I am making right now with bitcoin profits by getting as much as I possibly could before I retire.

Yeah, that's why I wouldn't really call it safe haven at all. Gold is the literal definition of safe haven (and in my mind the only one other than a standard fiat like USD). Park your wealth there and it stays the same for a very long time.

Many years ago Swiss franc was the same because of the peg but after they changed it I remember in forex days you can't even rely on it as much now.

As much as I love Bitcoin, you honestly can't tell how much it will be in 5 or 10 years. I believe much more, but I gold is more certain to hold value safely.
