What do u guys think about skycoin

An interesting coin Smiley (I'm ironic here).
Clone of NXT principle , let's forget of mining , we "mine" or created it all from the start and sell them all to stupid people.

Skycoin's gonna' fly--the sky's the limit! By the way, if you wanna' join up on Ecrypto, be a bro and use this link:

http://ecrypto.net?ref=405

You can trade NXT there, I think!

Why should it fly? Any real reasons for it? Not the name and not another story about the famous devs behind it.
Also , I liked how your fer link got broken. Wink

tits for btc?

full of girls already doing it on cams...

You mean by that that there is a videochat website taking bitcoin tips?
Not interested in the nudity or the adult stuff but this is one type of business everyone was talking about good it would be to  incorporate bitcoin payments but I haven't seen any till now.

They will get some free promotion if they started accepting BTC

There are a couple I believe. google Cam4BTC. Think the guy posts on here.

Well , it's not working for me , I mean there is nothing to do on the website or I'm doing something wrong.

Ps. i searched for and read about it on another thread , 200vists /day is a bit of a joke.
14523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should be happy tyranny is allergic to bitcoin, not sad. on: December 26, 2013, 09:15:12 AM
In a way the Chinese are lucky that they are not in an environment of hybrid payment systems. Their Bitcoin economy will grow on a bitcoin to bitcoin basis instead of a bitcoin to bitcoin converted to government money basis.

Please enlighten me how the Bitcoin economy will grow in China in the crippled way it's now.
The only model I see viable to grow is SR.

Also , china was more about trading than the rest of the world. We have people paying with btc for goods here , not in China. In China we had traders and speculators that flocked because of the 0.0 trading fees , nothing more.
14524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should be happy tyranny is allergic to bitcoin, not sad. on: December 26, 2013, 09:11:08 AM
China.. China... China. Is not a democracy. I never understood why people were so happy to learn about China's love for bitcoin. Suddenly the country that is happy to see Tibetan Monks on fire became Disney World. We have our iPads and Galaxy S4 so we are happy.

You can go to torrentfreak and read the comments on the article that Thepiratebay has moved to North Korea.
Lots of people started to congratulate KImJongBong and his ideas . Why ? Because they "did" something that was convenient for them.

Same as China madness here.
People started congratulating China just because of one thing. The price boom. The rest? They didn't care a bit!
They didn't even bother to check how China economy works , why they keep their yuan in check and why bitcoin woudn't not be a solution for them.

Money and wealth before ideals.
14525  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price at end of 2014? on: December 26, 2013, 09:01:46 AM
If its the same distance to the exponential trendline as now the price would be at roughly $7000. If its at the trendline the price will be roughly $2500, and if its at the bottom trendline it will be around $750. The most optimistic value would be $10000. If there is a S-kurve developing, there can be no resonable upper price limit imho. So basically more than $750 and less than infinite (probaly less than $10000).

Less than infinite? You are a genius sir Smiley

It will become infinity when $ dies (not next year)  Wink

1) $ isn't the only currency in the world. Hardly the most important these days.

2) Learn something about infinity before applying it to ..... anything.

So , which is the most important in your view?
Because by the way you said that , there are a lot more important that $ and I really can't figure them out.

yeah... LTC is pretty much the same as the premine Ripple, I mean Quark.

Let me know when I can buy Lambo's with LTC. When that happens I will get one more.

I know how people can easily change their view on something , that's why I was asking.
Although I read a lot of your post before signing up (lets cut 50% of the choo choos) I never came across specifically about Max Keiser , or I haven't look into it (my bad).

As an example , PP is evil, is bad is gonna go extinct , and when the the news come that one of the directors holds some bitcoins > pp is gonna embrace bitcoin , hurray hurray Smiley.

About the ltc , lambo thing , considering it teasing Smiley))

PP is evil eh? You got that from me telling people not to use pay pal to trade btc? you still do not understand why this is a bad idea? Hmmm.....

What a n00b.

I was talking about how peoples view of PP can change easily. And how people who hate paypal , when they get their first BTC they want to sell it for pp money forgetting how they have criticized pp in the past.

It was an example how the view of somebody on something can change. Just how your respect of Mister Quak here changed recently.

As for trading pp > btc , its' not a bad idea if you're the one paying with PP and the other send first Smiley , am I right?

14527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will I be able to use Bitcoins at the mall in 2014??? on: December 26, 2013, 08:52:45 AM
Bitcoin-hotep for sure you should be able to use bitcoins in malls, restaurants and every other place you may think of. And these bitcoins won’t be used in one single country but they would be accepted worldwide so next time you won’t have to go for exchanging your currency before travelling to other country

Want to take a bet for this to be happening in 2014?
Cause I really doubts there will be lots of places you can spend your bitcoins in malls or other stores everywhere in the world.

Thanks stompix for vouching that I'm not a kook. All is well, for now....

BTW, no one knows who the devs for bitcoin are, so I don't know what knd of standard that should be.

You probably think about the one and only Satoshi Nakamoto.
But for the rest , you can find them here:

14530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin network cost is OK now, but may soon be hugely wasteful on: December 26, 2013, 08:37:36 AM
Imagine that the price of BTC reached $1,000,000 USD on January of 2016. The block reward will still be 25 BTC, meaning that every day, 3.6 billion dollars worth of bitcoins is distributed to miners. Miners would be expected to spend almost 3.6 billion dollars per day to mine these coins. That's 1.3 trillion dollars per year, or almost 2% of the wealth produced globally every year (as of right now).

First of all, a probably more relevant comparison would be to the amount of money in circulation (M0), which is ~$10T.
This means, that at 1.3T per year, Bitcoin represents ~13% of the global wealth.

At these levels, governments power are much weakened, and as a result their spending is cut.
Governments typically spend anywhere between 40-70% of the GDP.

On top of government, we have financial institutions which coercively trade with our money, without paying dividends.

So we pay 2%, but get smaller and more efficient governments, and shrinked financial institutions in return.
I'd say the saving potential is dramatic.

You assume that bitcoin will replace money , but it's not like that right now and it's not heading in that direction too fast either.
Right now , you can see the bitcoin value more like an oil field getting discovered and explored.

This currency commodity investment puzzle has to come to an end but it won't be that fast.
14531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin network cost is OK now, but may soon be hugely wasteful on: December 26, 2013, 08:34:56 AM
How much is spent protecting the fiat currency system? All those guns and drones... If bitcoins are ever worth $1M each, it means people will be wasting less energy on fiat.

People will still get guns to protect their usb drives with the copy of the pkey , get electric fences for their mining equipment.
So the cost will just go back from the government to the people Smiley
I see an exponential raise in number of guard dogs the coming years.

Allow me to laugh my a**
"A big thank you goes out the wonderful dogecoin devs for working this out so extraordinarily quickly.."

Can we all lol at this?
They fixed a problem that bitcoiners talked a lot and fixed it a long time ago.
What the hell did they clone?
The first protocol made by satoshi?
Should we start checking all the bugs bitcoin had are really fixed?

This is becoming a joke of a joke coin.

14535  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: December 26, 2013, 08:23:15 AM
What is a good way to know or research what alt-currencies will be good or not?  I agree as someone said some but not all will or could do well.  Yet, there are at least 100 alt-currencies available.  For instance, Quarkcoin is in the top 10, but at 243 million coins still outstanding, does anyone believe that this might hurt this particular currency?

Yeah , it will hurt mining when the reward goes to 1/16 per block.
Since it's cpu based > easy pray for a botnet.
Also it's inflation doesn't help it a lot compared to other coins. Why the hell have inflation when people went into cyptocoins for fear of inflation.

It's already have hurt mining, since current reward per block is 8 QRK, while it was 2048 at the beginning. And basically almost all quarks are already mined, so we just mining inflation, or about 0.4-0.5% currently mined quarks.

Do you or anybody else reading this thread happen to know a place where you can check the hashing rate of the quark network over the last 30 days or so?
14536  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: December 26, 2013, 08:21:17 AM
Based on this article today on Marketwatch if there was an alt coin say CRD coin for Crude oil trading it would be an instant hit.   It stands to reason that an instantly traded currency would rule this fast paced marketplace.   To me this is a real world marketplace that stands to benefit from such a perfect trading apparatus.

There has been speculation for months about whether bitcoins might be accepted as legal tender by a major developed nation, whether the Chinese will accept them, or whether big web retailers will take then instead of conventional currencies. But the big breakthrough for digital money is more likely to come from the oil cartel, OPEC.

For decades, oil has been priced in dollars but key member states such as Iran, Algeria or Angola are not particularly friendly to the United States, even if they are not quite as hostile as they once were. They have been making noises about switching the price of oil out of the American currency for years, but have never quite managed to agree on alternative.

The euro was a runner for a while, until it started to implode. But what about bitcoins? It is a global currency, with no central bank trashing its value, and it might well prove a better store of value for countries that know their oil won’t last forever. If any single move establishes bitcoin as a serious monetary rival to the dollar, that will be it — and there will be more than a few wry smiles in Tehran over that.

PS  If any of you devs pick this up keep me in mind  Wink

So , why make a new altcoin that does the same thing as bitcoin , just for a name?
Look at all the stupid casino, games, bet, lucky, poker coins that came out and look how many are used in online games and how many online betting websites are using bitcoins.

Do you pay with gaseuros at the gas station , with carrefoureuros at the supermarket , with electriceuros your electricity bill?

Well that's a good point, but to think that there will ultimately only be one digital currency is probably not realistic.   I guess my thinking is more along the lines of a digital currency that has some intrinsic value based on the crude oil it represents.  Like the gold standard used to be for the dollar.  I don't know really, it was just an idea that I haven't given a lot of thought to.

Do you now why I used euro and not usd?
Not because I'm an European  but to already answer to your future question.

So:
Well that's a good point, but to think that there will ultimately only be one digital currency is probably not realistic

Why not?
With the euro , 20+ (and more coming next decade)  currencies have gone extinct.
Give one reason why we would not have only one in the whole world in 100 years.
14537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Catcoin vs Kittehcoin on: December 26, 2013, 08:17:55 AM
Catcoin had a horrible launch and is more or less the same as litecoin,

Starting difficulty was extremely low, which with current gpu miners results in an instamine.

Also, kittehcoin has been steadily gaining hash

I really don't understand your last statement.
It is supposed to be something that good , means this coin is a success?

Hashing means more people hoping to get their hands on the coins and converts them to btc when it (if) goes up in price and nothing more.
When it's not profitable anymore they will switch to another new launched coin.

Call me when the first alt coin hits the 100 merchants target.

14538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Catcoin vs Kittehcoin on: December 26, 2013, 08:14:57 AM
Can we have an option like "shot them both nine times" ?
Sometimes enough is enough , no joke is funny when you tell it 100 times to the same person.
14539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 26, 2013, 08:13:10 AM
I've been thinking about the uniqueness of Quark's distribution.

All coins when first issued are raped and dumped by the botnets, etc. In fact no coin can overcome this relentless raping and dumping. All coins nearly die from it. Quark was no exception.

But now because of Quark's distribution, nearly all of its coins have been minted, there can be no more raping and dumping. There is no more constant downward pressure on the price. Now the price can increase with time.

I think that it is this natural price increase that is attractive to hedge fund investors and will result in Quark challenging litecoin's price of 0.025 btc.

i hope your right  Cheesy

I personally have no doubt that Quark will overtake Litecoin. It's just a matter of time.

Shouldn't  you set your expectation about 5 places lower?
Because it will have to take on Namecoin market cap first , and for 10 days it has gone backwards from that target.

Yeah only on the now embarrassment of a stat site coinmarketcap.

Go to a stat site that at least makes sure the currencies it list are not running their own shady exchange ha ha .

www.cryptmarketcap.com

Why would this happen now ha ha why would this former reputable site do this now ha ha ?

I don't get your point.
On every website that list coins , no matter if they list mastercoin or nxt , quark marketcap is below namecoin.

And , I think that the reward will gonna go to 1 quark /block by the end of the year.

So it means that fewer quarks are added to the value while the other coins still have their rewards as same as before.
Per ex bitcoin will just halve it's reward in two years.
14540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to ruin Dogecoin on: December 26, 2013, 07:38:06 AM
I hope it dies off. This coin is an embarrassment for the crypto coin community. To many noobs showed up right as it launched. Now it stuck. It offers no innovation to cryptos.

I don't understand... just 1 year ago the Bitcoin community would have done anything to make Bitcoin mainstream and get as many people involved as possible.

Now accessible coins like doge come along and suddenly make "noobs" show up and get interested in cryptocurrency and you complain?

Get off your high horse and stop being such a cynic. Just because you don't like something it doesn't mean the coin is useless. It's spreading *awareness* and that's more than you could ever ask for.

No , many beggars come hoping to mine another clone coin with a dog face on it's wallet and hoping to  get rich.
What the bitcoin community is searching for are merchants and business adopting it as a payment solutions , and people paying their employes with bitcoins.

It never needed lunatics mining a clone coin and begging all day with the hope of buying a lambo with 2 doge.

So , hop on your donkey and take your dog with you also.
