14301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: January 06, 2014, 04:14:12 PM
So , right now , with a blocked reward of 8 coins we have 46080 quakrs mined /day , right?
At a price of 0.087$ this makes the reward 4000$ /day.

Now , if the block reward drops to 1 , miners will only get 500$/day.  And 15 000$/month.
Compared to electricity costs this makes the network look very insecure for the moment.

You're wrong. The difficulty will fall back, there'll be less miners with more rewards per miner.

Remember I mined 100,000 with a core i3.  Wink

What am I wrong here?
It doesn't matter if there will be 1 miner or 1000 miners.
Based on the block reward there will be only 1 quark every 30 seconds. And at current price the overall reward for mining will be 15 000$ for all miners. monthly!

How many will keep mining and keep the network secure with such small revenue?
You can't have a secure network with 50 people mining.

added  sig 35998 mrbuster mine looks a little different

Add the whole code to your signature , not just the promo text. This is why your sig is different.
14303  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: January 06, 2014, 04:06:40 PM
If there were no alt-coins all the hashing power would go to the majors and it would be very saturated. I say thank the alt-coins for pulling the pressure (and increased difficulty) off the majors networks. Just my 2 cents (prolly worth less than a single Dogecoin)  Wink

People are beginning to have a wrong idea here.
As more people mine a coin , more hash power the network has , is is less dangerous for a coin to be exploited by a botnet (cpu) of by a powerful mining farm.
What is better , a coin mined by 10 people with low difficulty or a coin that has 1 million miners and sky high difficulty.
14304  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: January 06, 2014, 04:04:16 PM
Has anyone used coingen.io to create a coin? If so, did you get your client?

Please tell me it's not working!
Or another avalanche of alt coins will be underway.

14306  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 06, 2014, 03:57:59 PM
Do I sense a growing battle between Batch 1 customers and Batch 2, 3 and 4?

Batch 1 customers failed to get their hardware on time. Now they are seeking the return of their (substantial) funds. While Batch 2, 3 and 4 are probably worried of the ship sinking before they get theirs. (well not that it matters even if they did)

Someone should start a poll to see how Batch 2, 3 and 4 customers feel about this whole drama. Especially how they feel about Batch 1 customers on their "refund standoff".

We are on day 5 of the new year and there are only 26 days left until the next (Batch 2) deadline. If it goes south for Batch 1, then Batch 2 probably won't hold their complaints to themselves or probably even wait until the deadline.

Quite the Pinch HashFast finds themselves in...

A battle?
Probably because the batch 2,3,4 are beginning to fear they will not see no products and no refunds.
At least the customers in batch 1 might get some money back , but for the rest ... adieu

I think this Hamster has escaped and it's on the run. Armed with fireworks. Possible dangerous.
14309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SexCoin Ideas on: January 06, 2014, 03:46:20 PM

It's true that there is little absolute need for an alt coin in this situation (as in most situations). However, the adult entertainment industry is known to appreciate novelty. SexCoin provides this, if nothing else. It integrates well into the fantasy; fantasy is wrapped into every aspect of adult entertainment.

Why can't Bitcoin be a novelty? Bitcoin can be sexcoin and drugscoin and whatever else you want it to be.

Bitcoin is far too slow, a transfer can take an hour or three. I really think it reigns at the top due to name recognition and hype alone, not usability. Litecoin is far more practical. When I need to transfer bitcoins between one exchange and another, I always first convert to litecoin - 3 - 5 minute wait instead of a few hours.

But to address novelty - Bitcoin cannot provide the same level novelty for the same reason that a sex toy may be called "The John Holmes" rather than "The John Doe". Most people do not want to buy the John Doe. Also, as Bitcoins become more normalized, people will come to realize it as actual money spent. Take for example a casino. One of the reasons they have you convert your money into tokens before you gamble is that people will spend tokens more freely than cash, even though it has the same value.

Did you wonder at least a minute why your transactions via BTC took 3 hours and with LTC 5 minutes?
The block time is different by a magnitude of minutes not hours.

Pay a decent fee and your transaction will be processed in minutes via BTC.
Also I would love to see how long it will take for any crytos to verify transactions once they have the same amount of daily transactions as the BTC network.

Then I thought, I should not waste another ~$3000 in paying you all guys. I could start something other with this actually.

Bye! Smiley Cheesy

Somehow , I just like this guy. Smiley
This should be added on the book "never do business with shady people"  on page 144 444 volume 132.

14313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXN] Exilecoin | A coin with purpose on: January 02, 2014, 11:04:14 AM
Massively multiplayer online role-playing game market is a huge market Western consumer spending on subscription MMOGs grew to $1.4 billion. World of Warcraft, a popular MMORPG, has more than 8 million subscribers as of 2013. exile coin can and will be used in the virtual World of W-O-W as a virtual currency,  If TRON had a currency it would be Exilecoin, as well as real world applications of exilecoin are limitless, people are paying real Euros for buddy products the buddy forum is already bigger than all the top alt coins combined except LTC.  this is a huge market once people get that part about it, exilecoin will be invaluable and very hard to get. these German @ Bossland guys are smart, this is a huge strategy under the radar with huge potential pay offs in the future. Let's face it 8 million subscribers to W-O-W, tens of thousands of buddy bot users worldwide,  official crypto is exile coin. and for others it is very hard to replicate a similar coin with the same qualities, because there is only one buddy forum.

Why should we use gascoin for paying gas and icecoin buy buying ice , but icecreamcoin for buying icecream.

It has already been proven as a total failure to label a coin for specific products.
Ex. sexcoin , one sexshop accepting sexcoin (and btc) , another 2 accepting btc and not sexcoin, and an escort service accepting btc only.
Why should warcraft gamers deal in exilecoin and not btc ?
It's better for them to start their own crypto , and we'll have diablocoin , wowcoin, etc. ?

14314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SexCoin Ideas on: December 31, 2013, 02:07:02 PM
Because 1 bitcoin is 750$ and going up. It's much easier to tip in coins that are closer to 1$.
Girl performs for you and you tip her 0.01 bitcoin? Cmon, how that sounds?  Cheesy

I'd rather have 0.1$ than a million Zimbabwean dollars. (zwr).
Besides mBTC solves that problem.
14315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to calculate the number of coins in circulation on: December 30, 2013, 05:37:45 PM
I think you can get a lot of coin names by filtering all the [ANN] and [Pre-ANN] thread titles on this sub-forum and extracting the *coin string.

He doesn't need the names or the types of coins around , but the numbers of already mined amount of each coin btc , ltc or etc.
You can get that data from each coins blockexplorer , or parse coinmarketcap and trust their numbers.

Oh really!
And about the exchange volume , it has been already discussed and proven how it was manipulated.

Dear god. You snipped 1 sentence and still fucked it up. Mining volume, you fucking idiot. I am now policing this thread just to assemble a list of users with which I vow never to do business. Trading with idiots always costs more than you expect in the end, either in time or some other fuckup.

No my dear idiot , I doubt anyone can do business with somebody with your temper.

Can you come with profs that 75% of the mining activity is in China?
That's the word the op used , that's the word I don't like next to that value.
Volume , length, value diameter .
But , I don't expect you to come up with this since I wasn't quoting you on that.

Also , you fail to notice than when people say "and about " , they refer to another part of the discussion.
And I referred here to the faked , and proven faked volume of Chinese exchangers.

So , my conclusion , China matters as much as Bulgaria in the bitcoin system.
Come with numbers to contradict me.
And not with the reported volume of 22k BTC of an exchanger that only has 1000BTC on the order book.
14317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 30, 2013, 10:03:39 AM
I have 0 QRK now. Sold the entire stash at Dec. 14

Wish all the best to everyone, good luck

That was a mistake , but you have plenty of time friend . Early days.

How can you call that a mistake ?  If he sold all his quark for BTC on the 14 he can buy now twice the amount.
14318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 30, 2013, 08:43:55 AM

Sorry to hear that, I guess you sold BTC when it hit $30 as well.

Sorry , but if he indeed had any quarks , if he indeed sold on the 14 , it's like he sold when BTC was 1600 Wink.
Cause the price then was 0.0003 and now 0.00014.

Also , the wisest sold when BTC reached 30$ the first time. What happened next....don't want to remember.
14319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm chinese, I want to tell you the truth. on: December 30, 2013, 08:39:30 AM
Their are 7 exchanges that more than 2000 BTC volumn per day in China.

the volums of these 7 exchanges in the past 24 hours:
btcchina.com 2925 BTC
btctrade.com 8988 BTC
chbtc.com    17510 BTC
fxbtc.com  22336 BTC
huobi.com  64078 BTC

okcoin.com 5441 BTC
btc100.org 3110 BTC

btcchina.com is the largest one in the past, but not now.

And Btcchina is the worst exchange i have ever used, they don't reply your emails, nobody pickup the phone calls, and you have to wait at least two days to withdraw your CNY ; but with other exchanges , you can usually get your money within one day even within a few minutes.

The truth is the OP is full of bullshit , i feel ashamed that you said you are Chinese and you are telling the truth in the subject.
+1
There are 7 Exchanges , BTCChina was and now Huobi is, everyone have chance and everyone have different strategy and planning for there Business to grow. Before MtGox was in tot now Huobi is trying to come on top. China is still trading good OP please wash your mind and clean your eyes and look,
As i posted in my last post you cant speak for all Chinese People this is prove that different you and other chinese, You think BTCChina is only exchange in China and in the same place which you told house hold and family business type is now going to be Worlds Highest Traded Volume.

Check their order book.
They have 500 coins on the +/- 50% range and they are making 20000 BTC trade per day?
