1481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you thing Cryptocurrency can last forever? on: January 27, 2019, 02:51:58 AM
I believe that cryptocurrency would still be around even after our death. Although we are not aware of some development, things are taking place and that cryptocurrency would be adopted worldwide once it became legal around the world. Let's just make Japan an example.
1482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is still the most popular? on: January 27, 2019, 02:42:23 AM
Not new though but I agree. Most of the time, people tend to hear Bitcoin and with that, it will be a chain where they will be introduced to other altcoins. There are times that people will hear other coins but of course, they would still need to cross Bitcoin to be able to buy other cryptocurrency.
1483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will start investing in ICO if on: January 27, 2019, 02:35:47 AM
I agree with the first one. I'm not going to invest in a project that doesn't have a product. That's why I prefer those projects with budgets already because I know that no matter how good the concept of a project are, they are going to fail if the desired cap is not reached.
1484  Economy / Economics / Re: LESSONS FROM CRYPTO MARKET on: January 27, 2019, 02:23:14 AM
That's the basic stuff to remember to be honest. I recently learned that last year and with that experience, I've become wiser but I feel like lacking something. Being greedy too much will be your downfall. Always aim for a certain profit even if it's small.
1485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please DON'T pay any taxes on your crypto! on: January 27, 2019, 02:20:05 AM
Nice try mate. That's now how this works. I bet that you really know do what you said in those. Most of the time, you will use those cryptocurrency to either pay bills or pay something, that way they could track you and you'll have some explaining to do.
1486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICO's Dead? on: January 25, 2019, 02:04:16 PM
No fam. Stop promoting another shitty ICO. 95% of the ICOs today are either dead or useless. The ICO bubble burst the moment 2018 start. I don't think we are going to make a recovery for that. Although we still are having some ICO being created each day, I don't think they are making a lot of funds anymore.
1487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AMA (Ask Me Anything): The current state of Bitcoin in the Philippines 🇵🇭 on: January 25, 2019, 02:01:17 PM
Damn, you really nailed every single point. I'm also from the Philippines. I don't really have any question for you, I am just amazed at how you explained how our people see Bitcoin. Scams are everywhere and that it is spreading like a wildfire here. You are also right about the usability of coins.ph, it really helped a lot of people because of its features.
1488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most Hodlers have now turned to Traders? on: January 25, 2019, 01:47:53 PM
Where did you get a statistic for that though? Any source? I don't think you have any. I disagree with you because the reason why people hold is that it is easier than trading. Most of the holders don't know how to trade so they prefer holding. They might lose more if they trade. I myself is both so I know the struggle.
1489  Other / Off-topic / Re: A KYC database sold on the Darkweb ? on: January 25, 2019, 01:38:01 PM
That's kind of scary. That's the reason why I really don't use any projects that involve KYC because who knows where they are going to sell it. Also, it's beating the purpose of being anonymous. One day, Decentralized exchanges will take over the market.
1490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why so many scam ico these days? on: January 19, 2019, 01:02:26 PM
It started last year and I think a year before that where people are stupid enough to invest into something they don't know about even if it smells like a scam. It is too easy to make an ICO and pay bounty hunters some useless token while waiting for investors to invest in your shitty token. I doubt it's going to stop anytime soon.
1491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bounty hunter paid USDT? on: January 19, 2019, 12:57:44 PM
That's not going to happen. Creators of coins are not willing to give actual money for advertising. Most creators just tend to share what they created which doesn't cost anything at the start because this is not costing them any money but instead gaining more.
1492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing on exchanges has no effects anymore on: January 19, 2019, 12:54:28 PM
It's because there are literally hundreds of exchanges out there and that getting listed is not a problem anymore especially to a coin like tron, this is not news anymore. Times change, as long as it doesn't involve any development anymore, then it's not going to pump.
1493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you are buying BTC in 2019 because you think it is Bitcoin, you are being foo on: January 19, 2019, 12:51:55 PM
Of course, it is. BCH is one of the hyper in 2017 and that people are easily deceived because developers are not anonymous and that it is managed by a rich investor. It might have a Bitcoin in its name, but is still fake and is not different from all those altcoins.
1494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Pump after dump? on: January 19, 2019, 12:44:18 PM
I'm not sure about that. There's been a lot of traps lately and that it was always getting a follow-up dump. I'm not sure whether this is the natural growth that we are waiting for or not. I'm not looking forward to it though. I'm still waiting for some to happen.
1495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lots of doubt on on: January 18, 2019, 03:26:13 PM
If you truly believe in Bitcoin, then you know what to do. You should hold if you think you could win. I think it'll be a cold year again this year unless another event happened. I'm looking forward to Ethereum's news shaking the market. Let's just see what will happen next.
1496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if NSA was behind the bitcoin creation ? on: January 18, 2019, 10:03:59 AM
If NSA or any similar to that really did created Bitcoin, it would make sense that they would be able to trace those illegal transactions because they know how Bitcoin works, but how come they are having a hard time doing it? It's clear that they didn't created Bitcoin.
1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE BALL IS IN YOUR COURT on: January 18, 2019, 10:01:33 AM
That's clearly our situation right now. I still remember the day where it is too easy to be true to earn easy cash here in crypto, but now it's not as easy as people think. A lot of scams have overtaken the forum and that this place is swarming with so much alts just to get as many bounties as possible.
1498  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange hacked on: January 18, 2019, 09:51:54 AM
The list of hacked exchanges are just getting larger. That is the downfall of the strictly centralized exchanges. In 2018, hackers managed to syphon out around 731 million usd from exchanges and cryptopia is the first one in 2019. I am sure, this is not the end and the list will grow even larger in 2019.

Can decentralized exchanges be the solution to prevent such hacks? Since centralized exchanges keep their money into a centralized location, it's lucrative for the hackers. But in decentralized exchanges, handling of money is controlled by the users and not kept in a centralized location. What do you guys think? Should we pay more attention to decentralized exchanges going forward?

That's what I was thinking. I feel like most of the hack incidents that happened in 2018 are inside jobs. I think it was just a play to prevent any suspicion from the people so that they could steal money. I've been digging into some decentralized exchanges and I think it is time to transfer to them.
1499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people think technical knowlege is required to invest in or adopt bitcoin. on: January 18, 2019, 02:19:39 AM
Your analogy is really bad. Let's make it simple. Yes, you don't need technical knowledge to learn how to drive the bus but you can assume that it is safe because the driver has gone into training and when something bad happens to you, you can blame the driver and the company which makes the travel safer than just riding it your own. When you ride the Bitcoin train, you are on your own. When you lost, it's your lost, when you gain, it is your gain. You are on your own, you can't blame anyone but yourself.

Next is gold, is has been around for thousands of years now and has been proven to have a use in our society by the masses. Its real-life usage makes it more appealing to people and investors which is why it is safe to invest in it. Investors are safe because they know how gold works in the market and how it is being used to make our lives easier. Gold is tangible and can be used to create gold jewels or computer parts that make the computer faster for example. Bitcoin is not tangible which makes it less appealing to investors.

It is simple, you use a bank, bank store your money, you get interest per year, and it is safe if you don't touch it. You don't need technical knowledge to know that bank is the way to store your money, and it is easier to do it. You see, safety is what keeps people from using it. Unlike Bitcoin, you need simple computer knowledge like installing, and stuff to make it work (which is hard to get guidance with sometimes). When it comes to investing. Investing in Bitcoin is not a joke, it is not regulated, it is too volatile to even create a slightly accurate prediction, and it is driven by hype from those investors. Not to mention that when you are scammed or hacked, no one can help you but yourself (depending on the amount) and it's hard to trace back the hackers or scammers. Although it still not that safe to invest to, Bitcoin's freedom still makes it appealing to other people.

I'm not trying to make Bitcoin look bad but let's look at the reality first. We need more years of development to actually make Bitcoin appealing to people. Although it's not as safe as other transaction, I still use it because of freedom.
