I cannot open the provided link! A lot of hacks and scams is arising recently! Especially for the newly launced one, we should stay away from them. I cannot understand why you still bother with them! Probably you can open a support ticket to see! Anyway good luck for you!
1482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I guess people are using bitcoins for takeaway on: June 08, 2015, 02:59:21 PM
Bitcoin is quick money settlement for international business. No matter it is used as a currency or investment, it is secured and somewhat anonymous!
1483  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin price stability !! on: June 07, 2015, 07:23:31 AM
Bitcoin price can only be described as wildly volatile.  Actually in my experience all cryptos pretty much are volatile.  The reason is that there is an awful lot of speculation and short term trading in the market.  This isn't exactly a bad thing as bots and traders provide liquidity.  It is bad however when they cause wild swings in price.  Bitcoins need to be stable in price before they are wildly adopted as a currency.  until then they are just another investment like gold or bonds.
From the long run it is not good for the ecosystem of crytp currencies. Ppl tend to speculate on the wild swings in price and get quick profits. IMO we need long term investors to support the buildup of bitcoin infrastructure and need loyal bitcoiners to spread bitcoin ideas to increase the adoption rate. If there is no average users and business, who buy up bitcoins, what is the point of liquidity on the market? Can you remember the situation in the end of 2013? Many speculators are flocking to bitocin then suddenly bitcoin bubble burst!
1484  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Business Ideas? on: June 06, 2015, 04:34:22 AM
I d like To start creating a platform where  You can by services goods and other good stuffs
Creating a platform costs a lot of money and it doesn't guarantee you success. Why not just invest in the sound bitcion related business?
1485  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for some guidance as a new seller! on: June 06, 2015, 02:43:17 AM
For an escrow, you can choose anyone on this list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108716.0. These are all people trusted for escrowing. You could either choose who you want, or have the buyer choose.
Some escrows are charging a small of fees. You should be aware of that

Yup, I'm aware - but I have a feeling those fees (disregarding unreasonably high %'s) aren't nearly as much as what paypal/ebay extort from sellers Wink

If you don't mind me asking, what do you think the chances are of accidentally signing on with an illegitimate escrow? I mean it can't be dismissed that every time one trades, there COULD be a chance of them being screwed by the escrow (but risking never doing business again, or other factors).  I've just nexperienced ever a buy/sell with escrow - my only trade history has been either selling on eBay (luckily, as no buyers have scammed me) or selling on reddit (where I was paid btc instantly and actually held my end of the bargain).  There's a first time for everything though - I just can't afford that time to be now Grin

Appreciate any and all help/experiences/etc.

Cheers Cool
I fully understand your concern. The most new sellers have the same with you! We should find the escrow who has high reputation (high green number) and have escrows hundreds of trade here. Even they do for free escrow but they still charge for IPO and managing sig campaign. They are doing business here and could earn more in the future. What is the point of screwing up one trade and ruining their whole buinsess?
Like you mentioned,

Yes, there could be! But if you scare that, then you'd better stay away from here. It is not the place for you.
1486  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [TUTORIAL] Easy way to earn up to 0.15 Bitcoin in 1 HOUR on: June 06, 2015, 01:02:38 AM

1487  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do ya'll want in a gambling site? on: June 06, 2015, 12:47:11 AM
I like this one. It is bitcoin online casino. I was attracted by their blog campaign that they are giving away 25,000 doge. I only need to meet their 35x wagering requirement and I withdrawed this bonus.

1488  Economy / Economics / Re: Record High Margin Debt With Most Traders Betting Against This Market on: June 05, 2015, 08:01:24 AM
No one can precisely predict the time of bubble burst. There are still many ppl who are buying up and ignoring the looming risk. They are attracted by the profit.
1489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitnation's semi official space agency... on: June 05, 2015, 05:50:22 AM
It likes some kinds of business opening ceremony sending many colorful balloons into the skys at the same time! But the difference is that  Bitnation/Spacechain Space Agency only sends one balloon. But after I check out the provided link, actually they plan to launch satellites loaded with Bitcoin nodes into orbit, not the type of ballon we have seen every day.
OP is confusing us!!

1495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So the destruction of Bitcoin is now official? on: May 30, 2015, 03:33:19 PM
It is not wise to fork bitcoin, put new name Gavincoin. The two coins will be ruined together. some concepts are discussed for long time before being implemented, such as big block size, fast synchronization ect. The dev team will reach to consensus before releasing new version bitcoin qt.
1496  Economy / Digital goods / Re: How much is my Domain worth? on: May 30, 2015, 03:07:55 PM
IMO it depends on the popularity of bitcoin and its ecosystem in Armenia. If you keep it until the day bitcoin is popular and recognized as currency or investment tool, it will worth much.
1497  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Newbie question about paper wallets on: May 27, 2015, 03:24:35 AM
I would like to purchase BTC's and save the majority of them in a paper wallet as I expect to hang on to them for at least a few years.

I was thinking of doing the following:

1) Install Electrum from a live DVD/USB (Ubuntu or Tails) onto a computer that's not online.

2) Record seed and copy the address's generated.

3) Delete the wallet

4) Send BTC's to the address's that were generated offline.

5) Confirm transfer of BTC's at Blockchain.info.

Does the steps above seem OK? Is there anything that should be changed or added?

How does the blockchain know that the address's that were generated offline are valid?

TIA

Record the bitcoin private key in step 2.  The private key is required to initiate transfers on the bitcoin network. Without the private key you lose the funds.

Isn't the seed the same as the private key? How would I lose the funds if I have the seed recorded?
A bit of difference. In Electrum, a seed is a complete backup of all addresses and transactions. A private key is just for one public key. If you back up the seed, you will never lose the funds.

1498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are mined massively by China? on: May 20, 2015, 03:36:27 AM
I am curious about why you want this kind of info. I think Chinese ppl is for the profit. Whichever coins can make money will attract their attention.
1499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you value most when you choose a BTC exchange? on: May 14, 2015, 03:52:49 AM
The first choice is security, followed by liquidity, then fee! We want our money safe in the exchanges! Then we can be comfortable to be trading.
1500  Economy / Economics / Re: Play of the Century on: May 01, 2015, 02:32:02 PM
Dollar is inflation. Holding it for the long term is losing value. So ppl are looking to alternative to store value, such as gold.Hopefully bitcoin will coexist with gold, as another important investment tool or way of storing value. Bitcoin, its inherent deflation quality, could become the play of this century.
