1501  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do you spend your money from Bitcoin? on: March 07, 2018, 12:24:43 PM
Typically im spending my bitcoin to purchase extra things for my store and isolating it for different costs in our home like month to month bills and transportation spending plan for my children. Everytime I see that im acquiring I spare it and hold for some time. Bitcoin is only my additional pay since I likewise have day by day work so I was cheerful that as of late I figured out how to purchase another telephone due to the monstrous increment in the cost of btc before it dropped few days prior.

I have withdrawn my bitcoin profits only 2-3 times and it was just to check the withdrawal procedural on different exchange where I have saved my money. Since, I have other income sources that are used to pay for monthly expenses, I am leaving my bitcoin investments untouched. I plan to accumulate a good amount (at least $100000 worth of BTC) before withdrawing.
1502  Economy / Economics / Re: Companies that are scary on: March 07, 2018, 12:21:57 PM

Of all the large companies that are now large internet players, do anyone particularly scare you in terms of how you data and track could be used? Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, …?

All of these are tracking user data and it is indeed scary. You forgot about Google as well which is also involved in this. If you involved with some large projects and want to hide details from these companies, make use of encrypted mail providers and also use proxy to hide your identity. Do not make any search on Google or YouTube with a logged in account.
1503  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin helpful to the economy? on: March 07, 2018, 12:18:04 PM
Bitcoin and Altcoin have helped many people in every country out of their economic hardships, many unemployed and people who want to earn extra income have benefited from Bitcoin.

I remember reading the experience of a member here who has left his job after bitcoin trading for an year. He used to work in UAE away from his family and started bitcoin investment just to test the waters with the job. He started making god profit and thus also moved to alt coins. Very soon he was able to make twice of his salary with this and thus left the job. I guess a lot of people can make use of this opportunity in developing economies.
1504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did i miss the train? on: March 04, 2018, 04:56:56 PM
It is funny to see members suggesting him about bitcoin investment which he asked in December 2017. As per his recent posts https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1061077;sa=showPosts, he is already investing a lot of money in alt coins. All his recent posts are in the alt coin section.
1505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the most likely to happen first? on: March 04, 2018, 04:54:28 PM
If you will ask my opinion, I will not want any of these three things to happen. However, exchange hack had already happened in past and it is sad that so many investors lost all their money without their fault. Government ban has also occurred in some countries but blockchain hack is not going to happen unless the developers are involved.
1506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we really need Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2018, 04:49:45 PM
I have the online shop so I need a huge amount of Bitcoin because I am purchase product buy a bitcoin via Bitcoin now why support Bitcoin so it is a good for me.

What type of products are you selling and where are your buyers from ? I sometimes take freelance services from countries like Philippines and most of the freelancers still ask me for PayPal transfer. I also provide some online services and there also very few of my clients are ready to pay by bitcoins. Those who agree are also doubtful with first order as their transaction cannot be reversed.
1507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Mining vs Buying on: March 04, 2018, 04:47:09 PM
Mining is way much more complicated and you could lose your investment, considering the market difficulty. Investing, that's less risk.

I agree to this, I have enough savings and income  (thanks to bitcoin investment) to be able to start a small set up for mining bitcoins. But when I try to search about the equipment required, I fail to understand the terms used. I can still go through those tutorials and perform the set up but if some parts get damaged, I will not be able to repair it.
1508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: True BTC believers on: March 04, 2018, 04:44:26 PM
For me it's very simple. I used paypal for years, several times. 5 years ago I heard about Bitcoin and never used paypal again. Not even once.

Why? I don't see Bitcoin as an alternative to paypal. If this is the case it is massively overvalued. Bitcoin is an alternative to country backed currencies.

Paypal is a service provider. Paypal could in theory add cryptocurrencies to its services.

If you ask my opinion, I still prefer PayPal as the payment medium mainly because the transfer is instant. I pay for services like social media accounts for promoting my business and the seller is ready to give the accounts only after receiving the payment. Thus by using PayPal, I can have faster access to the product I am buying.
1509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IF the GOVERNMENT wins over BITCOIN? on: March 04, 2018, 04:42:23 PM
Be ready and aware that 2018 is the year of regulatory reckoning. Countries around the world are trying to determine how they are going to treat cryptocurrencies. Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) has halted several ICOs and hinted at the need for greater crypto regulation.

I am into cryptocurrency because of freedom, I can't deny to myself that I have worries regarding this issue. And as an investor, I really have no choice but to stay with crypto once the governments around the world have control to cryptocurrencies (if that became possible).

These regulations also have a lot of advantages. Since they are putting restrictions on those suspicious ICOs the money of a lot of investors will be saved. Also, these fraud coins also hamper the image of bitcoins. Some of the people label whole crypto as scam because of these coins.
1510  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: March 01, 2018, 07:02:38 PM
Is this allowed, ask people to review my posts and I will review them posts?
I have some sMerits for how long i can keep them without spending?

Currently, there is no such things like merits expiring after certain time. But it is mentioned in merits page that the admin may introduce future is hording of merits is being practiced. Regarding asking users to submit their posts for review, you can do that. A lot of members here  have already done that (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2832127.msg29032781#msg29032781). This is a good option for a member who does not have the time to search for quality posts in different sections.
1511  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirement for Member Proposal on: March 01, 2018, 06:56:01 PM
Most of my points I got for the activity points calculator I made long before the merit system and I'm keeping it updated. I just felt that this is what was missing here and I had the time to do it.

Every average user could have done this for all these years but I was the first.

I'm helping the newbies with info and guidance and I'm reporting the spammers and rule-breakers.Everyone can do this.

There are still a lot of similar opportunities. You can make a thread collecting stats from a particular signature campaign. This should contain detailed information how many merits members with different ranks got after getting enrolled in that particular campaign. You can make a thread with stats from merits given in official merit announcement thread. One just have to be little creative and post something that a lot of members can relate to.
1512  Economy / Economics / Re: How to calculate profit on: March 01, 2018, 06:52:05 PM
You minus the value you get from selling and then minus it on the 100$ that you used to buy bitcoin. Let's say when you sell the btc you had from the 100$ that you invest is 200$ then 200$-100$ equal to 100$ therefore your profit is 100$. That is one way to compute for the total profit you had for your investment.

Most of the exchanges have records of all transactions you do. However, it is not a good idea to calculate profit for each transaction especially if you are dealing with multiple coins. You should do it every 3-4 months or even more depending on how busy you are. Also, do not ignore that exchange fees and tax involved.
1513  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Satoshi is dead,If not where is he now on: March 01, 2018, 06:49:55 PM
He is dead. Nothing is doubtful in this. And like you have said if he would be living now, he would have a magic stick in his hands and he would be leading us in best directions. Poole would him and he would have been the super man of this economic world. Like now, he is no more with us since last few years so bitcoins have revived their own recognition. People remember them with their own influential charm.

What are the proofs behind this claim that he is dead. Was he really an old person ? I really doubt this unless he was working on this project for 10-20 years before releasing it in public. In my opinion, the concept and work behind bitcoins is not possible by a single person. There might be a company behind this and they obviously do not want to disclose this as it can cause legal problems.
1514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Jewelry Collection - AVAILABLE in GOLD . SILVER . PLATINUM on: March 01, 2018, 06:44:18 PM
First I thought that your online store has the option of paying in bitcoins. Then I visited the store and found that those jewelries have bitcoin designs. It is really impressive and looks a unique concept. I ried searching for countries where you ship to but could not find the information. Can you share that link as some friends might be interested in this.
1515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to kill Bitcoin? on: March 01, 2018, 06:41:15 PM
Stop do btc also ask all people to stop.to btc so btc.can be die

Your title is very annoying and content in thread is hard to understand. Cannot think of a reason why someone will want to kill bitcoin unless you are the owner of a competing coin like Ethereum. If you do not bitcoins, simply do not invest in it. I do not think crypto is going to end now. We may see rankings being changed among the coins but some will exists for sure. It is also possible for some new coin to replace bitcoin from the leading position.
1516  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system is not working, failed! on: March 01, 2018, 06:38:47 PM
Well people obviously do earn merits, however it's mostly shared among those that know each other and are hence more likely to like each others posts. Also, there is pretty much no reason in giving merits to hero or legendary members as they have already reached maximum level. Unless Theymos modifies the merit system with respect to these users, there is no point receiving merit as a Legendary. In any case, I think the system was actually a success overall, yes there are issues, and yes most of the merit is hoarded by the fortunate few, but there are also outliers who are rewarded in merit. Become an outlier and you'll be merited.

See, I understand that it might be frustrating not being able to get merits even after some good quality posts especially for new members. I even saw some senior members complain about this. But, the issue is that some new members are still able to do well. They are able to get merits from different members here. This means that there is not fault with merit system. If that was the case, no new member would have been able to rank up.
1517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment strategy on: March 01, 2018, 06:34:43 PM
Hey, guys. Today I thought about what would happen if I cease to diversify their risks, sell all altcoins. Leaving all in bitcoins and wait until the rest of my Deposit will not grow.

Will I be able to earn more money for 2018 with this strategy? Huh

I already did so in the summer of 2017, leaving 60% of my Deposit in ETH for six months and did not regret it. I advise you to think about this strategy. Thank you all for your answers.

I can tell you from my own experience. I have invested only in bitcoins so far and it has worked very good for me. I have a regular job and thus I really do not have the time to research about new alt coins and then track their prices everyday after investing. For bitcoins, I have set price alerts and I get updates about the prices through that. Even with bitcoins, I have never sold before six months after investment.
1518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about btc future on: March 01, 2018, 06:33:27 PM
I am not much affected by the prices because I am investing for long term. I do not think anyone will face loss with bitcoins if he is investing for 1 year or more. For large investors, who have invested in 10 BTC or more (at around $10000), prices getting down might be little scary. But they will also get used to volatile prices with time.
1519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do to get bitcoins? on: March 01, 2018, 06:29:06 PM
Inorder to get bitcoin, be patience in joining some bounty campaign, trust the admin/bounty manager and do their task daily. You can also get bitcoin by simply buying it or you can gain bitcoin through mining. Many options were you can choose inorder to gain bitcoin. Just be wise and be ware of scammers.

I have tried two options so far- trading and signature campaign. If you have got some some money to invest, I will advise to go for trading. I agree that signature campaigns are rewarding and useful for the forum but we should also not forget the time required to make quality posts here in order to get paid for those campaigns. Also, if you have got some skills like video editing, you can use that time to offer related services and charge in bitcoins.
1520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become a daily currency??? on: March 01, 2018, 06:21:44 PM
may be one day bitcoin will be daily currency. now day by day bitcoin popularity increasing at a high speed. many department accepted it as their daily trade currency.

It has the potential to be daily currency. In my country, there was emphasis on doing digital transactions recently and the government even launched a number of promotional schemes to reward people using those digital mediums. However, once promotions ended people went back to using cash for transactions. Thus, if we want bitcoins to become daily currency, we just have to make it as convenient and instant as cash transaction.
