Can't answer that because I don't know the future. I'm not buying any until the trend reverses. Hopefully all the short term speculators will get out and there will be more demand than supply at some point. If you don't want the pain of seeing it go down, don't look for 18 months. I parked mine and will check back for Christmas in January, maybe I get a pretty gift from my locked Electronium. It is good decision to forget about this coin for few months actually the bear market putting more pressure on weak hands and they are selling this without any reason. If we will take this kind of decision than it will help us to survive and make good profit. Just don't forget the parking lot or the keys after so many months! Then again... when people lose their keys and can't sell their coins, that's also good for the rest of us!  |

Also about the "wallet no working", I had the same issue and I asked in their Discord channel. Within 2 minutes someone from their team had told me that I had to use the default location for the blockchain image. If you picked a custom location, delete that folder and run the wallet again. |

Μόχλευση σε κρυπτονόμισμα δεν καταλαβαίνω γιατί να κάνει κάποιος πάνω από 2x με 3x όταν η πτώση από all-time-high είναι πολύ συχνά 70%-90% (δεν αναφέρομαι μόνο στο BTC αλλά και σε altcoins). Πρέπει να είσαι πολύ άπληστος για να πας 100x.
Για παράδειγμα δηλαδή αγοράζεις στα 6.000€ με κεφάλαιο 1.000€. Έχεις αγοράσει εικονικά BTC αξίας 100.000€ αντί για πραγματικά-εικονικά (lol) BTC αξίας 1.000€ που θα αγοράζεις σε ανταλλακτήριο. Αν η αξία της αγοράς σου πέσει από 100.000€ σε 99.000€ έχεις χάσει το κεφάλαιό σου που ήταν 1.000€ και η θέση σου στην αγορά κλείνει. Η πτώση αυτή ισοδυναμεί με μόνο 1%, δηλαδή από 6.000€/BTC να πάει 5.940€ και έχασες 1.000€, ΤΟ ΔΙΑΝΟΕΙΣΤΕ;
Σίγουρα μπορεί να γίνει και το αντίθετο, αλλά ένα τέτοιο σύστημα είναι σίγουρα centralised. Αυτό σημαίνει αυτόματος πως θα μπορούσαν να κάνουν μια στιγμιαία εικονική πτώση 1% στο σύστημά τους, να σου πάρουν τα λεφτά, και να σου πουν πως φταίει το liquidity και πως ήταν ευθύνη σου να έχεις αρκετά χρήματα στον λογαριασμό σου.
Αυτό το σύστημα λειτουργεί μόνο στο χρηματιστήριο όπου υπάρχει μια σχετική σταθερότητα... πχ εγώ με 3000€ λογαριασμό έχω μετοχές της Google και της Nvidia που θα άξιζαν κανονικά πάνω από 20.000€ και οι πτώσεις που κάνουν κατά καιρούς είναι 5%-15%, αλλά ακόμα και εκεί η μέγιστη μόχλευση ΗΤΑΝ κάπου στο 20x, τώρα το μείωσε η ελεγκτική αρχή της Κύπρου στο 5x αν θυμάμαι καλά.

I liked his phrase "The cult of bitcoin [makes] many claims — that it's instant, free, scalable, efficient, secure, globally accepted and useful — it is none of those things". Did anyone else though he was describing what XRP is there? But not only XRP. BTC too... it might not scalable yet, sure, and the words "instant" and "free" are very heavy ones... it's much faster than SEPA and with about the same cost as a SEPA transfer though. As for security, it's as secure as the user. |

XRP holders will be rich sooner or later. But I just laugh at fact when most peoples espacially who criticism XRP as a scam coin is saying "pray for xrp that will not be marked as security" guys XRP should be marked as security to be success!!!
I don't think you know what security is or what it would mean for XRP and Ripple, since there are specific rules that must be followed for assets whicv are classified as securities. |

Ripple scored a little victory in its legal defense last thuesday. The norh discrict of California deny a motion against the Society. This is a little victory for it and I hope it will be the first of many others, even if I remember that from some weeks Ripple and XRP are beeing two different indipendent things. TYhe markets seems dont evaluate the division of the two, or the general bear situations dont let XRp to make better.

What does the bar on the bottom of the wallet displays? There is a chance that a sudden close of the wallet will corrupt your files, but after launching it again you don't need to connect to nodes and redownload everything, only the CPU works in order to rebuild the chain. |

Have you heard of WordPress? It's a software with many tools and an easy interface which can be loaded on a server and any user can create a custom website or even eshop with 0 programming language. You can buy website themes from designers or buy add-ons from developers to add in your site, everything is done quickly and easily. ARK is just that for the blockchain, anyone will be able to use ARK 2.0 to create a blockchain, build apps that work with it, connect existing apps etc. ARK supports so many programming languages and can connect with any existing blockchain (coin) with smart-bridges. |

Um... Like I'll be accepting an IOU piece of paper to represent bitcoin. It was done on metals but I'm not so sure the people are that gullible for the same trick. Its interesting to see how ICE wants a piece of the pie. They sure as hell wont send my money to anything crypto related as I found out a couple weeks ago while trying. Ha Bullish! It already happens, though - when you short (as I am sure people here do on occasion), as you 'borrow' Bitcoin to sell. The Exchange credits or debits accordingly - but the numbers are in a database, no coins are in your personal wallet under your private key. It's not a big step for an institution to 'lend' coins it has custody over, or lend them twice and for these coins to have more than one owner. Some exchanges have done this before and some probably still do. Not all the people want all their bitcoins back at once, so there are always some spare in the cold wallet. Yes, you or I will always want to have our coins under our own key. It has always been essential for us to do so. But other investors would probably rather not. Institutions can just 'credit your account' with Bitcoin they do not actually have, as banks do with fiat all the time - thus increasing the supply of Bitcoin out there (on paper). ICE and Bakkt will be custodians of people's coins (how nice of them) and the ability of them to 'use' the coins to make money by rehypothecating them will be part of their business model. You may not be gullible, but if others accept paper custodianship, then Bitcoins can be rehypothecated and (more) Bitcoins will be bought and sold that do not exist. ICE are big enough to do this in a much bigger way and the market for Bitcoin may well become just like all the other markets. And there will be far, far more bitcoins being traded out there than actually exist. Surely this is a hypothetically scary scenario and we're all familiar how it happened with fiat but we just witnessed exactly this happen with an exchange last week no? The losses were passed on to customers as I recall. Since bitcoin has a degree of transparency in audit, if the people ever get whiff of far, far more fakecoin being traded it would create a run on the exchanges and the shady players would be outed. I think futures are the first attempt at exploring this scenario. I say let them try. I believe this will inevitably only reinforce one of the key fundamentals of BTC Its TRUST-LESS! No doubt there may be many fooled along the way until this is understood. The thing is, they can't print new BTC like they can print new dollars, so this would surely end bad... most likely for the users. And as I think you said, even if they can borrow non-existing dollars and send you these, the bank will accept them; But a wallet won't accept non-existing BTC. |

You seem to have selective memory. You don't seem to remember that on September, XRP was at 0.15€ and BTC at 3100€. 3 months later XRP reached 2.81€ and BTC reached 16.600€. In other words BTC increased by 5.35 times and XRP by 18.73 times in just 3 months. Even if I'm a fanatic, (1) I'm not a poor one and (2) I'm an informed fanatic who's supporting XRP because of fundamental reasons, and not "because the price went up" or "because the price went down". But for those simpletons who only know how to read the price... just now the XRP and BTC both are 1.7 times higher than about a year ago, a month ago XRP was ahaid. |
