ASRock Fatality Z97X Killer LGA 1150 board works with 6 cards on risers in Windows 10. Can only get 5 to show up in Windows 7 (Code 43 on the 6th). Set all three PCI-E x16 slots to GEN 1 in Bios. Haven't tried adding the M.2 slot PCI-E adapter yet.
You need enable "Above 4G" or lower TOLUD.
1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Rebrand - RX570 / RX580 - Official Thread on: June 17, 2017, 10:17:37 AM
Hey guys, after sleepless night I really need your help.
Setting up 2nd rig: 6 cards mixed brands. One was even "like new" condition and I found out somebody played with bios already, It is GB Aorus XTR 8GB and its LED is not working and bios timings were changed.
Can anyone post his original BIOS for this card? If it helps I will be really thankful.

Also second problem - was flashing BIOS and PC crashed or freezed and card which was in progress seems to be dead...PC just never turn on with that one. It is GB Gaming G1 8GB. Any idea what to do?

Thanks!
Do you use patcher before flashing any card?

1506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: USB Riser Problem on: June 17, 2017, 07:58:58 AM
i have 2 gpu. 1.Asus gtx 1070 rog strix.  2.Gigabyte gtx 1070 windforce. Gigabyte gpu working normal on riser. But Asus is not working. But led is on.  How to solve the problem?
Did you plugged it right? Connected it with 6 or 8 pin PCIE?
You may need reinstall drivers if it do not detect.
1507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My RX580 Benchmarking and Results: 30.5Mh/s @ 77.5W (+ 1130MH/s Dcr w/ 125W) on: June 17, 2017, 07:41:26 AM
I'm new in tuning AMD Bios and read a lot. I have a new Pulse RX580 4G D5(Sapphire type 11265-09-20G). The SRBPolaristools shows me that there are 2 different 4GB-VRAM types - 1st is a  EDW4032BABG (Micron-Elpida), 2nd is a H5GC4H24AJR (Hynix). Now occur the 1st question - why is that a 4GB only card and no 8GB card? ...and which VRAM should be adjusted for tuning - both or the Hynix only. Saw in some videos adjusting sometimes only the 1st memory and sometimes the 2nd memory, but never both. Thanks in advance for some helpful hints.
Use GPU-Z, it will tell you what you have. Edit only the one you have. In my signature is tutorial how detect the memory vendor.
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: June 17, 2017, 06:53:10 AM
idiot of the day is here

I just built my first rig today and placed the motherboard on top of a conductive stainless shelf.. tried to power on for like an hour wondering what the hell is wrong with my build.. It was powering on and off at one point too... Eventually figured out and got it working but how bad is this? lol System is running fine but I am wondering if I made any damage to the board. This is like the dumbest thing ever smh
Are there any burnt components or places? Power it up and you will see if it's working.
1509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: plz help choose cards from several options on: June 17, 2017, 06:49:53 AM
1070 all the way for 200 bucks,
The 580s are pretty expensive! Maybe R9 290 or R9 390? But it will have bad power consumption
1510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low hash rate with 2 RX580's on: June 17, 2017, 06:46:44 AM
Both are RX 580's 8G. The Red Devil has Samsung, and the Red Dragon has Hynix.
Use performance timings like Uber-Mix. In my signature there is link to the guide how to easy mod the bios with Uber-Mix timing for Samsung memory.

1512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: V007s SATA powered risers on: June 16, 2017, 04:36:01 PM
I have one perif plug on my PSU. And 4 SATA plugs.

So you're saying to ignore the SATA plugs entirely. And only use the Perif 6-pin plug? And if in that case, the most I can get out of that 750W PSU is two (MAYBE) three molex connections (on the string of 4)

If I was going to use the risers with 6-pin, what exactly is the cable I need and is it a 6-pin perif cable or a 6-pin sata cable (I'm talking about the labels on the PSU)

I have two EVGA 750W.

Any links to the actual cable would be super helpful...
If you don't have enough 6 pin PCIE buy splitter

I've bought them here in CZ, one for 4 bucks. I think the brand was Delock.
1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [HARDWARE][NVIDIA] Pascal GP106-100 - True Mining GPU on: June 16, 2017, 03:24:34 PM
Most non-ETH altcoins are a lot less sensitive to memory latency issues than ETH and it's offshoots.

GTX 1080 and 1080 Ti both work quite well and efficiently on ZEC, among other options.

I doubt we are going to see much if any more hashrate out of the mining-specific cards vs their consumer varients - but dropping all the video circuitry and disabling the "video output" parts of the GPU die should result in substantial power savings, I could see 20-30% less power used at the same clocks as a result (which would be somewhat better than TheStilt managed on his "no undervolt" version of his R9 290 BIOS, but he didn't disable ALL the video capabilities and the video output stuff was still on the board).

Pricing numbers seem to still be up in the air and conflicting - but IN THEORY these boards should be lower priced, though being smaller production numbers might limit the savings some.

I did see mention somewhere that EVGA might be one of the "partners" after all - which gives me some hope for us "small fry" having access at a fairly reasonable price, given their direct sale policies.
Yeah, I only know about ZEC. NVIDIA is pretty useless for Monero :/

Can't modify bios...not sure why but seems locked. Used latest driver but then i can't use  GPU's so i went ahead and used the trick someone wrote here to use a mix of old/new driver and install from the device manager. Works fine but still, can't modify bios and can't use WattTool...anyone got an idea on how to fix that?

Don't use PBE, use SRB Polaris it should be working.
I don't know what you mean can't use? Do you mean error 43? Use Ati pixel clock patch.
1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: V007s SATA powered risers on: June 16, 2017, 01:37:28 PM
Ok, so I have both 006 molex and 006 6 pin risers. However, if I don't use the SATA adapters, the only cable I have available is a 6-pin (perif) to 4x molex string. And I can only use 2 of those 4 molex for safety, how can I connect the other risers? I have two EVGA 750W G2's. They each have 1 perif and 4 Sata plugs on the back.

So I'm assuming I need a 6-pin sata (that plugs into the PSU) to 6-pin that plugs in the riser, but this is the issue, where on earth are those cables sold. OR I need a 6-pin sata (that plugs into the PSU) to molex, and again, can not find cables for that.

Unless I'm just totally blind.
Use 8 or 6 pin splitter, those cables are made to be full powered.
As I wrote 8 pin can handle 150W so you can use 1x 8pin to 1x 6 pin on riser (75W) and 1x 6pin on card (75W), There should be no problem with 8 pin card either...
I wouldn't go for the Sata and definitly not for those SATA adapters! They are very low cost and bad quality.
I tried 3 risers on 1 molex rail and it was no problem at all, Corsair HX1200 has quality cables they were only around 30° (IR thermometer).
1516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: V007s SATA powered risers on: June 16, 2017, 08:23:22 AM
Can you provide a link to an example riser? So many people have said so many opposite things I am totally confused. It sounds like you're saying the sata plug risers are actually worse then the molex ones. Where is everyone getting all these risers and dedicated cables? Or 90% of people are doing it wrong...

It's really quite straightforward:

Sata connectors are rated at no more than 54 watts.

Molex connectors are rated at 132 watts.

I'm not sure what the 6 pin is rated at but I think it's more than the Molex.

Therefore if you have any sata connectors in the cable to your riser, then there is a risk of overloading the connection.  It doesn't matter if the sata connector is on the riser or in an adaptor cable.  Same problem.  Solution: Do not use the ver 7S risers.

Recommended: ver 006C (6 pin) or ver 006 (molex)

Of course lots of people use the sata type 7S and lots use a sata to molex/6 pin adaptor.  But the fact is that the connector is only rated for 4.5 amps vs 11 amps for the molex for example.  It will still work and most likely it won't get hot and catch fire.  But nonetheless it is much more likely to than the others.

The 6 pin has 75W and 8 pin has 150W, but there are no risers with 8 pins. PCI-E slot has 75W so it's enough.

Should I mine in a pool?
What? Where else you want to mine?
1518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: V007s SATA powered risers on: June 16, 2017, 07:44:28 AM
I would stick with Molex it can have up to 132W or with PCI-E 6Pin. The 6pin can have 75W.
Mobo PCI-E power is 75W.

Okay so no need for bios mod. What about voltage mod? Any news?

It seems that there is no bios mod no undervolt no overclock. We just plug and play and mine. That's it?
NVIDIA? You can set power limit. I don't know if you can set voltages also... You could do that back then with nvidia inspector.
OC the memory for best results.
