1521  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ChatGPT and Trading on: February 16, 2023, 01:59:32 PM
what i've read was that it can write codes which if it can, a person may be able to request to write a trading bot for the most effective trading system it knew and can be integrated into his tradingview account. it will be cool to hear some success stories about it if there are.

It could help write short codes for some strategies. I tried out with pine script, but sometimes It can suggest a code that is not suitable. So as user, one has to have prior knowledge of the script before they even think about chatGPT helping them

That's true. Besides, I was surprised to find out ChatGPT does make mistakes.
Absolutely true, and sometimes the info it gives is also not updated (Not so current). I experienced this.
1522  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What after localbitcoins.com shutting down on: February 16, 2023, 01:44:00 PM
Paxful and other rivals are doing well and recording regular yearly gains to buttress my point.
I don't know about Paxful's KYC policy, but their volumes seem to be starting to decline too, according to coindance and the current weekily of $30M is nowhere near Localbitcoin's all-time high of over $120M weekly trading volume.

We will see how it goes, maybe they will benefit from the closure of Localcryptos and Localbitcoins.

What I believe is that they (Localbitcoins) are short of partonge compared to cost of running their service, hence the need to shutdown.
The lost the volumes so quickly because of their strict KYC policy and they suffocated so fast.

It is no coincidence that they chose that board, not only because of the sig campaign requirements, but also the fact that mods do not react (in most cases) to reports from that part of the forum.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5436332.msg61759429#msg61759429
It looks like the myth has been debunked. Ebede's recent spam posts were all deleted. I thought that I was going to waste time reporting the posts and nothing was going to be done.

I will be putting more effort to reporting such spammers, They are mostly from 1xbit, probably alts. It looks like their campaign manager does not care about the post quality or unnecessary burst posting.

@hosseinimr93 and @Rikafip, thanks guys.
1524  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kryptogamers Hive No KYC Casino on: February 15, 2023, 09:36:47 PM
Before I even go to privacy policy. I am concerned about this clause in the terms of service

The Company reserves the right to ask for proof of age from the player and limit access to the Website or suspend the Player Account to those players who fail to meet this requirement.

If this is a no KYC casino, then what do we call asking for proof of age? How is it going to be done minus KYC verification?

Sure, I could be 12, and we asked which year I was born, and I would just say 1970.
1525  Other / Meta / Re: [Request] Temp lock Bitvest.io thread (prevent spam) on: February 15, 2023, 08:25:09 PM
Is any of the site out of business?
777coin.com seems to be offline. When you visit it, this is what you see

Bitvest.io on the other side seems to still be online. I see bets being made by players.

Would it be OK to lock the thread because the owner is away? I don't think so.
Spam should just be reported to the mods. Once the spammers realize that any single no related post in the thread will get reported and deleted, they will stop posting necessarily in that thread.
1526  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What after localbitcoins.com shutting down on: February 15, 2023, 02:13:51 PM
Though you have a legendary account but i wish you would simply understand the difference between a peer-to-peer crypto exchange to a centralized exchange,
I think you need to do more reading about what "peer to peer" means. Stop focusing on member's ranks and feeling insulted.

These exchanges and marketplaces keep confusing you by mentioning p2p because it feels more attractive, but in actual sense they are not p2p exchanges. I don't know about the first years, but LocalBitcoins was far from being a p2p exchange in the later years. They would hold user funds, set deposit and withdrawal fees at their will, they would never reveal any private keys of the accounts to the users, block funds and ask for KYC.

The same applies to "Binance p2p". In fact, Binance gives even a clue in the link that they are not a p2p platform.

Look closely
Code:
https://c2c.binance.com/en/trade/sell/BTC?fiat=HKD&payment=ALL

Do you see that c2c right before binance.com? It means Customer to Customer or consumer to consumer, which makes more sense because c2c involves a third party, unlike p2p.

In a centralized exchange the price of crypto is set by exchange itself, which is a monopolistic practice which is not in the case of p2p as people set their own margins for buying or selling, there is competetiveness..
Wooooow. Just wow!!!
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 15, 2023, 12:55:35 PM
VAR took away PSG's comeback because of a 0.1 cm offsides - it's awful. I'm speechless after that. It's time for a new rule in soccer: "offside only counts if it's more than 10cm." VAR and offsides rob us of soccer, of adrenaline, of a comeback. These things are "Football" for us. It makes me sad that soccer is collapsing and I want soccer to be more interesting.
It wasn't 0.1 CM, lol

Does that seem like 0.1 CM to you?

The decision was pretty effective and accurate, unlike in the Arsenal match, where they didn't bother to draw a line.

Are you suggesting for even a way more complex and time-wasting additional rule? Imagine the VAR officials having to take time to determine if the player was actually 10 CM offside or not.
1528  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BETCOIN.AG SCAMMING / ~15K$ INCLUDING DEPOSIT SCAMMED on: February 15, 2023, 12:31:09 PM
UPDATE:

I have been in touch with Betcoin directly, and gotten this solved. My e-mails had apparently gone to their spam-folder hence why they didn't answer. Thanks to Betcoin.ag for taking this seriously and contacting me quickly here in DM on the forum, and allowing me to withdraw the balance.
Great!

So, you managed to withdraw all the $15K, or they let you withdraw only the deposit?
It would also be nice to know what was concluded. Was your account still considered part of the syndicate, thus permanent ban from using their services, or you were found innocent?

You could also update the title of the post as Solved if the solution was satisfactory to you.
1529  Economy / Reputation / Re: Multiple accounts (Two Accounts Linked) on: February 14, 2023, 11:37:32 PM
I am Nigerian, I hope Obong Okon has answered you, please do the needful and lift your negative Trust. I have been linked with Nwanma in the past but that has been cleared, and the account has been inactive for over one year
So in Nigeria, does Mbok mean "Please"?

The problem is, you are not honest about anything. You just keep making up things, which is not good. Having an alt account is allowed in this forum but using the alt accounts to cheat bounties, giveaways, evading ban, manipulating trust etc is untrustworthy behaviour.
1530  Economy / Reputation / Re: Multiple accounts (Two Accounts Linked) on: February 14, 2023, 02:15:06 PM
<...>
I have just seen a PM from you.

I have no intention of destroying your reputation, if you could please show us that you are not guilty of cheating in bounties.

Mbok means please
I really don't know what that word means, but is there a chance that you are Indonesian?

Secondly, why would you use a word from a local language in the English boards?
1531  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Busting rule-breakers constantly. on: February 13, 2023, 11:59:24 PM
What's the best way of reporting this guy (Ebede)?
Because i feel like manually reporting each post is tiresome.

He is burst posting and spamming the gambling board.

Here is a sample of his posting behaviour in gambling board

Between 09:12:16 PM to 10:41:21 PM today, That's about 1 and a half hours, he made 21 posts!

Does anyone a mining app called Bitcoin Miner just want to know if they pay out after the 90 days??
Thanks
It all screams scam and probably a malware. If you already installed it on your device, please uninstall it immediately. Members have already given you some sound advice, there is no bitcoin mining app of that nature. You need to have hardware know as ASICs in order to be able to mine Bitcoin.
1533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 13, 2023, 10:48:58 PM
It seems that now Liverpool will be better prepared for the round of 16 match against Real Madrid. in the match against Everton in the premier league we saw Liverpool being able to make a pretty good lead. Even Liverpool's attack pattern looks better than before. well I expect an exciting match between Liverpool and Madrid in the round of 16. But Real Madrid also seems to be starting to show a better game. in the last game Real Madrid won the FIFA Club World Cup Final and became champions. even if it's not a big game. But still, the match was exciting and Real Madrid also impressed. so it is likely that Liverpool will likely have difficulty in the match against Real Madrid.
Both teams are struggling in the local leagues. I think Real Madrid has an upper hand. They usually know how to prepare for big opponents. The problem is when they play small or under looked teams

Liverpool's win over Everton tonight could help build their confidence, but it's going to be a tough and very close encounter. Looking forward to the match.
1534  Other / Meta / Re: Locked Account on: February 12, 2023, 09:57:26 PM
I've honestly never been aware of the "lock account" feature, so don't know if it can even be recovered independently without the help of the recovery team.
The feature deters unauthorized use of the account.

Let say a hacker accessed your account and tried to change the email address, which is pretty easy if they have your password. A notification will be sent to your old email address containing a link to lock your account. Once clicked on, your account will be locked. Even the hacker won't be able to access it using the new and old email address. Only way of unlocking it by contacting the recoveries team.
Quote
Does that mean you can't also receive a recovery process email if you click the "forgot account" button?
I don't think so.

Real madrid would sure shop big next summer.

As it's like a routine for them especially this season they have not sign much players to boost the squad power and as for the result .. they are slipped in the domestic league and a bit worrying facing the champions league with such squad attitude to have quite bad form. Bellingham would fit very well to replace modric.
Jude Bellingham for Modric?

So why exactly did Real Madrid spend on tchouameni and Camavinga?
Wait, sometimes even Federico Valverde can play midfield. So Who are you going to bench when bellingham comes in?

Personally, i don't think there is any urgency in that position. There's a lot of cover there.
1537  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What after localbitcoins.com shutting down on: February 10, 2023, 11:09:47 PM
It appears that peer-to-peer trading opportunities are decreasing. It constitutes a risk to us if a well-known P2P exchange closes. Because peer-to-peer trade is replacing centralized exchange like Binance is currently conducting significant p2p trade. There would be other exchanges opening up for peer to peer trading. However, LocalBitcoin was a realizable P2P exchange. I don't see why a peer-to-peer exchange would shut down. I'm not certain, but I'll guess it's just for a little enforcement.
Man, I don't even think what localbitcoins was offering was anything to do with p2p. Well it may have seemed like two parties were involved in direct trade, but then there was a third party which was localbitcoins

They could choose to freeze the funds any time they wanted, since the customer wallets were custodial. To be honest, they were more like Binance, especially when they made KYC verification mandatory.
1538  Other / Meta / Re: Locked Account on: February 10, 2023, 10:54:41 PM
Hey everyone!

My account: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3499411
Was locked after changed the email address and accidently clicked the lock account link (I didn't read and assumed it was an activation link Tongue)
it's just a security feature in case someone hacked your account and tried to change the email address. It helps lock them out of your account.

I read a few topics/FAQs here, and noticed you need to sign with a crypto address which you had on your account.

The thing is, I've never posted a crypto address here nor have I got one linked on my account.
a staked bitcoin address is necessary, but not mandatory. The recoveries team is flexible.

What I do have though is:
- Access to the registration email and current email
- Full access to the service/site I sell here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5411315) - Perhaps I could add a signature on the website?
- On the same ISP (but different IP) as registration
This is more than enough. The original email address and they will also probably try to check the IP logs to be sure they are coming from a similar location

Good luck.
1539  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Sportbook and Casino: BITSLER > Millions of bonus monthly < on: February 10, 2023, 10:21:16 PM

According to the screenshot, your withdrawal is on hold which means there is something they are investigating or need to verify before the approve it.

Check your email address and see if there was any message they sent you regarding the withdrawal. 5 days is surely a long time to keep waiting without being told why the withdrawal is on hold. You could also contact support with your account details.
1540  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitDice doesn't pay to affiliates. Players are also under the threat of a scam on: February 10, 2023, 09:30:14 PM
This is very unfortunate. If I am not mistake, I think I have seen a complaint or two about their affiliate program not paying. There can be no smoke without fire. They could have been a reputable casino in the past, but I think it's about time BitDice got reprimanded for their recent behaviour

New registrants or potential customers also need to be aware of what things look like currently in the casino.
