Fuse, if you can find out who those others were, compile a list and let me know. As a goodwill gesture to all in that list, I will gift them some TAG. If it's only Chofoe , I will gift just him.

I'd buy all those toxic's and resell them on ebay for 450 lol.

TO be safe I'd use 350w per toxic 280x. 100w for the system (mine is 55-75w, but 100 is good for buffer).

After several days the 5 card 270x system is stable with all of them running without issue. The trouble card I lowered to 18 intensity and it's been fine since. Power draw at the wall is 850w max for 2,350-2,450 hash/sec, that's pretty nice.

I have a box of Asus 270x sitting next to me I'll try sometime this weekend. I have one of them running right now, I couldn't get it past 415, I think it needs the infamous BIOS upgrade. The nice thing is these Asus models are silent, they have a nice cooling setup.

Dabs/others, my inbox has many messages. I will respond soon. I'm busy trying to setup stuff for some people we have over tonight.

@bitcoinorama And so... when will they put up for sale the update modules? next week? price? Payment will only be possible in bitcoins? And finally... only for the old costumers Smiley

They can't, at this point, hold it to just original customers as they advertise it on their website for all products. Originally it was just for Mercury and Saturn, but then they openly decided to let anyone buy them, customer or not.

Neptunes are still very much in the preliminary design phase.

 Ugh. This statement does not inspire confidence for shipping Neptunes by end of Q1 Sad

That was never a possibility in all reality, especially with how long it takes to send to the foundry and then get it back ... at this point, April would be the earliest.. I believe my wager from 2 months ago was mid April for earliest, with mid May being most likely. And by then.. good luck ever getting a 15th of the BTC price back.

I am really starting to wonder if they might have produced a batch of Jupiters and decided to just keep them to mine privately. Despite their 28nm competitors lack of delivery, the network has still managed to grow rapidly and there is an obvious demand for their already designed and successful Jupiter miner. They even told us to get some BTC ready and implied they would sell from stock instead of taking pre-orders which was followed by complete silence while somebody very steadily added a lot of hashrate to the network. If they were able to manufacture another batch of Jupiters using the proceeds from the first 2 batches they would be foolish to sell them if they believe they would turn a profit.

Some of us were aware of the hidden 55nm competition coming online during December.. some of us said things, and we were ignored and laughed at. They're going to keep shipping, non stop.

And when Cointerra starts shipping in the next 2 weeks it's going to hurt more, but what would be worse is if they have planned things out to the point where they have enough material to fulfill their first 2 or 3 batches. Their assembly line makes KNC's look like a 15th century sheep farm. They could knock the batches out in a week, maybe 2. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but they were doing 5,000 and 10,000 unit batches, and still are, with some single orders in the upper hundreds of units.

Imagine that difficulty level.

This doesn't catch KNC off guard, nor any other serious OEM. Everyone knows it's going industrial which is why a lot of these initial designs are very industrial, to prepare them to move to the corporate level.

Wow that rate blows man.. I'm on a flate residential rate. Would love to go commercial and get a better rate, which requires finding a commercial location. I don't like being too far from the equipment though.. lol.
1525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 17, 2014, 03:20:48 PM
Thanks Orama.

See folks, as some of us said before.. Q2 is a strong likelihood.. Not next month like some folks were thinking, for some doped-up reason.

Thanks for the update,

Will Jupiters or Upgrade modules be available soon?

+1.. since the website advertises modular upgradability, would be nice to use that function.

He's about to face the largest legal battle of his young 22yr old life, he's probably upset and trying to get back at people. He stole all the BTC investment, he's in hot water. Whether or not he intends to give it back (on the 1st of the month as he claims) matters not, as the crimes have already been committed. Not only is he culpable, he's admitted guilt.

As I suggested in his other thread, he needs to send the BTC back today or he will likely be facing big charges.

Quote
Yes, definitely looking forward to hearing all of the investors say they've received 100%+ of their money back, that's the right thing to do considering charges could be brought, and wouldn't be shielded by an LLC.

Hope I got that right, just going on what's public.

The value of the property stolen basically means he's looking at felonies, class1 or 2 depending. Money laundering and grand theft easily, among others. The fact is he took it without permission of the owners, he did so acting as majority shareholder when he wasn't, he failed to include the share's owners in on the information prior, etc. The crimes have been committed and charges can be brought by anyone at this time. The situation is well documented, and  more of his personal and family details are available to make this happen.

It's in his best interest legally to return all shares immediately, not weeks from now. An LLC will not spare him or his family from the brunt of the legal fallout, especially an uninsured LLC like his. Honestly it makes it worst, it goes from a he-said-she-said to making him culpable by default.

Justin, fair warning buddy. Immediate means immediate, those returns need to start flowing today. You're in hot water and I don't think you grasp the severity of the situation.

My little bitcoin has arrived. Cara Michelle Biomech came into the world at 13:13 today, 7lbs 8 oz. We are still at the hospital, but mama and baby are doing fine.

Awesome, congrats!

Does anyone know exactly how much BTC Justin took with him when he departed Cassie's project? There needs to be clarity on exactly what amount of BTC he took without consent and how much was left with Cassie. Then there needs to be clarity as to which investors BTC remained with Cassie and which investors BTC were taken by Justin.

Saw 19 270X gpus came into stock on Amazon. Moments before I could pull the trigger, they disappeared.

Le Sigh.

I went ahead and just ordered 10 on the "2 to 4 weeks to ship" plan.  Now it's like waiting on Xmas.  I'm checking Amazon every day.

Vesper or 24Kilo, can you PM me your power cost estimates.  My partner and I are starting to think about what further expansion, and it would be nice to have something to compare the power usuage to.  We're closing in on you guys... watch out!

-Fuse

As for power cost, I don't track it closely, but I know each system is between 950-1050 at the wall. I could log in to my electric utility website if you wanted more micro-level details on costs to the penny.

Zinga, and found a block when I switched back! hhaha

IIRC in the US it goes from 3 phase to a transformer which breaks it out to 3 or 5 poles, heck I forget. Anyhow from there you get your 240 which is split to 220/110 or whatnot.

edit, looks like someone beat me to it.
1532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 16, 2014, 07:32:17 PM
You just need a lot of ventilation - replace hot air with air from outside, as long as it's less then 70C outside you'll be fine.

It'll need to exchange at a specific rate as well, at least as fast as it heats up.

Agreed. Also, Antminers ship immediately, are the same price as the 220GH/s Avalon units, and use ~3 times less power per GH.

Where are you getting your power specs to see that they're 3x more efficient than a Neptune? or did I mis-read you.

I've got 5 hitting me Sat/Mon, I'll also try. You'll be able to share before me though.

If I don't like them when I get them, plenty of folks will pay premium to buy them Smiley

Ok. Those settings are from BAMT 1.2, Cgminer 3.7.2. Probably get errors under windows, but give it a shot. Also try those but 1120 for engine in case 1145 is too much. Thanks.

So what is the favorite brand 270x? I installed an Asus 270x last night and pulling 445mh. Not too impressed.

mh or kh? mh = sha, kh = scrypt. The cards will run faster with scrypt/kh.

What are your settings? What is your setup? OS/Software

Try these and report back:

"intensity" : "20",
"worksize" : "256",
"thread-concurrency" : "24000",
"expiry" : "120",
"gpu-engine" : "1145",
"gpu-memclock" : "1500",
"gpu-powertune" : "20",
"temp-overheat":"87",
"temp-target":"60",
"log" : "5",
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"queue" : "1",
"scan-time" : "60",
"shares" : "0"

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on some Asus 270x's and would love to know..

tagbond/all,

Is there any value in getting TAG removed from the purgatory list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134179.0

Saw it and just thought I'd mention it.

They could undercut Cointerra right now. I'm wagering Jupiters cost KNC $1k. They could sell them for $2k, we'd be happy, they'd make 100% profit, and Cointerra would get butthurt.
Although we don't know KNC's asic chip cost, the mere fact they are using (cheap) air cooling vs watercooling and supplying without a PSU in a cheap case must make KNC's costs significantly lower than Cointerra's. IMHO.

When sending the system to them they say to use $1K of insurance. They wouldn't tell you a lesser amount than what their cost is, which is what I'm basing my guesstimate on. It also makes sense as many of the components are common, the casing is stamped aluminum, the fans are dirt cheap, etc..

I'm a bit curious myself since justin lists me as being an investor on his operation, but I never sent him money--unless he controlled the addresses cassie gave me.

So hungry. Must. Keep. Going.

NZ is in my top 3 places to live, with 'Stralia right alongside it. Heat, sunlight, awesome flora and fauna.

I'll also take tropics.

I'll find a way to make those GPU's run cool in the tropics..
