Yeah, no. No need for that patch. The point was to find correct driver that allows bios edit. After bios flash reinstall driver and voila, everything works, 29.3mhs @ stock clocks with uber-mix timings.
Oh, ok, what drivers you had and installed after?

use SAPPHIRE TriXX
Yes I would go for it too.

So the scoop is these gpus are real, the bad news is most of these are going to stay in China. With no output on the gpus you have no chance at a good resale value. The price reduction on the 1080 version might make it interesting compared to the gtx 1070 for mining.
Well yeah. The info says only for big farms. I'm more interested in the AMD mining one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1966624.0They have it in Russia already.

That design makes no sense for a pure mining card. Looks more like a photoshopped effort - or perhaps a "pre-order" placeholder.
A "mining" card, like the NVidia GP106-100, should have NO video connectors at all and the whole backplate should be set up to maximise airflow. On the other hand, AMD has this bad habit of needing a "dongle" for pure compute usage on non-workstation cards - but an HDMI port for that would make more sense as it's a lot smaller.
There's been quite a bit of confirmation that the GP106-100 will happen - but it's up in the air as to if it's going to be available to "small folks" or only going to get sold to "major farms". I believe the consensus "official release" date for that one is June 19.
Yes the pic looks like fake, but I've got real pic! I've added it to first post.

"We don’t know yet how many CUDA cores are enabled, but since P104-100 is said to be paired with GDDR5X memory it may as well be GTX 1080. These cards are said to be more efficient than normal GeForce cards in cryptocurrency mining (~30 to ~10% depending on SKU)" - which extra efficiency is easy to account for, they probably disabled a lot or all of the video-specific circuitry via the BIOS or possibly on-chip (an OLD trick, refer to the modded R9 290 BIOS series TheStilt put out for mining back in Litecoin GPU days).
I still think the P106-100 is badly aimed, but I do want to see that P104-100 have at least SOME availability to us "small fry". Too bad EVGA doesn't seem to be one of the involved "partners" (yet?)....
What altcoins are efficient to mine with GDDR5X?

It seems like it's trully happening.

Mate, if you know it is not yours, why are you reselling it? Don't you think that's a little bit of a dick move?
I've paid for resell it :/ I won't sell this timing anymore.

I've send you 2 other timings, I din't know you are already using this one.

[It's ok ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) No worries! Oh sorry I don't know it's yours I've got it from other source... I've have lot's of for Hynix and Elpida I'm picking them randomly. This one is best, so I'm choosing it mostly, my own is unstable on lot of cards with clocks more than 2020. I'll PM you send me your wallet I will donate you. I've bought this timing on RU forum while ago seems like it's not theirs too ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

These are not AMD they are all NVIDIA. AMD didn't confirm on making any mining GPUs.
They're not MADE by AMD. They're made by Sapphire, and essentially strips down on a lot of connectors and fancy RGB stuff and directs the vent fins to the back exhaust etc. All to create a lower cost, "purely made for mining" card. It's Sapphire jumping on the bandwagon. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Now, if it turns out Vega is brutal at ETH, then watch craigslist get flooded with 470/480/570/580 cards. I think VEGA won't be good for mining. If the HMB2 won't be some masterpiece.

Waaaaattt?! That must be hoax, why the hell the 1060 would have GDDR5X? That's bad for mining!
|
|
|
Yeah, it's strange that on the AU website it shows 6 PCI and not 7. I am also considering buying the AR, but need confirmation that in AU, the model definitely supports 7 GPUs.
So where is the problem? Write to the AU support!

While dual mining? How did you achieve that?
I'm mining Monero. I'm only testing speeds in dual eth Claymore, I'm not sure about wattage but it was something like 80-100W more at wall I think, so around 750W.

|
|
Yes XMR. I updated my post as it was not clear. Also added ETH figures which are also not so good (21-23 MH7s). Which miner do you suggest?
But why is the 570 slower than the 470 with even higher power consumption?
5xx series is bad, hope the new batch could have some improvements. I'm using XMR-STAK I like it. It's simple and those web stats are amazing :3 SGminer has higher hasrates but not that much, around 5% for whole rig, but also higher wattage around 50W more at wall. And I don't like it, there are no web stats and utilities like Awesomeminer isn't really for me.

So i'm testing some Timings I got from MatthewV and i'm applying it to one card only. Rebooting, Running DDU, rebooting, Installing 17.6.1 drivers, rebooting, running the driver patch, rebooting and then mining.
Stock the cards run 22mh/s. When applying the bios to 1 card it seems to impact them all. The current straps I am testing has dropped hash to 12mh/s across all 3 cards. Any idea why it is impacting all cards?
Memory is pushed to 2020 and core clock dropped to 1100 - 1150 and under volted to -90
If you have problem write on my e-mail. What timings did you use? It can't impact all cards! Write on the e-mail for support ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

My 5x 570 powercolor's are doing great. Stable 139.8 mh/s + dual mining @ 850w at the wall.
I just got 5x 570 XFX (black edition) in and man they are hell to get stable at a decent power consumption. Anything below 980 mV crashes them instantly.
850W that's bad. Right now I have 2x 470, 2x 480 and 380 at wall 640W.

Hey guys,
Currently got a rig with an HD7970 and a RX480. How can I use Polaris Bios Editor to only mod one of the cards ? Is there an option which allows you to select which GPU you want to modify ?
Thanks !
Yes. Save bios with Atiwinflash and edit it in Polaris Bios Editor.
