1561  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: December 16, 2022, 12:13:49 PM
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has had a significant impact on the economy of our country. I remember when the conflict between these two countries just started, the price of gasoline increased a lot until the highest level reached was more than 2$ per liter.

But it's a good thing now that it has dropped to around 1$-1.2$ per liter, it's good that the conflict between these two countries has calmed down because they are not helping the economy of the countries that surround them in the  world actually.
Don't confuse bubbles bursting with the conflict calming down. It is quite the opposite, the conflict is getting worse every day. Just recently US gave Ukraine the permission to attack Russian soil and Russia armed its nuclear missiles that could reach both US and Europe.

Basically the world got used to this war which may be why you think it has calmed down; the 24/7 coverage during the first days is now a barely mentioned thing that people specially in EU react to as "what else is new" considering all the economical problems they have themselves.

I missed that news, I didn't watch this news recently, and what I found is the US has decided to give Ukraine Patriotic anti-aircraft missile system, and this will make the war bad worse.
Indeed, war shows no sign of abating, it's just that we've gotten used to it and don't care much about it anymore.
Regarding the drop in oil prices, I think this is only temporary and things will get worse when Russia and OPEC simultaneously cut oil production and the Chinese economy reopens.
1562  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: December 16, 2022, 11:54:02 AM
In my opinion, the introduction of a price limit for oil and gas will not destroy the Russian economy.

That's what Europe wants, but it won't be that easy, I'm not saying Russia will win at this point. Both will suffer significant damage, but Europe will suffer more, and if it fails in this final round of sanctions, Europe will officially fail on all fronts with Russia. I agree with @Sithara007, oil prices should recover soon in Q1 2023 as supply decreases and demand picks up again as China opens its economy. And inflation will rise again.
1563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 15, 2022, 08:42:50 PM
Until now there were no recent news for Newcastle target players because this team were lack of rumours to upcoming transfer window but to support the current squad in my opinion they have to buy at least one or two famous players and i think it's necessary because after international break ended Premier League will be more competitive because i am sure some of big teams such as Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea will attempts to improved their weaknesses with buy new players
But at least Newcastle has successfully to gets Australian youngster Garang Kuol from Central Coast Mariners that this could be potential buying especially after he makes his debut match on world cup and he also recognized as one of the youngest player who makes his debut in this tournament in the history after Pele
Newcastle is likely to surprise us in the transfer market, although so far there has been no accurate information regarding player purchases. With Newcastle position that has won third place in the standings, this certainly encourages this club to further improve the players on the front lines. At least maybe next January there will be news of a player who has been on Newcastle's radar for a long time. The Premier League competition is getting tougher, and Newcastle's struggle to qualify is the motivation that a club as rich as them still deserves a famous player.

Jefferson Lerma and Enzo Fernandez are probably under the radar of Newcastle United. I am not sure about this news, but I can certainly say that with the money which Newcastle United have right now, they can pull off some interesting transfers.

And I also agree with @hyudien that Newcastle United is going to surprise us in the transfer market this time. I am quite sure that they are going to bring in some big names to the squad. A reason for that is they are currently in the third position on the table. This is a big chance for them to prove that they are also a worthy competitor in the English Premier League. But staying in the third position is obviously not going to be easy at all. And honestly, I have my doubts that they will actually be able to do that.
1564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Destroy Crap Altcoins? on: December 15, 2022, 08:39:33 AM
Crap altcoins will continue to exist because someone out there will always buy and sell or use them. Bitcoin's only relation to these altcoins is that the purchase of the latter needs the former because fiat is not the trading pair for each or them.

No crypto can be literally "destroyed" it is more like being "abandoned" and nobody is using it anymore. While new ones will continue to flood the market I doubt their number will reduce anytime soon. Because of the "get-rich-quick" screaming appearance of most of these altcoins at the start, the new investors will always buy them instead of going for bitcoin.

My view on bitcoin is that it is always profitable if bought at the low price. No such thing as dividend period or stable period here. Been watching for several years now and I know that the cycles continue if you watch closely.
No one can destroy altcoins, even with bitcoin, and the demand for altcoins will never go away, as long as people enter the market for profit and get rich quickly then altcoins will still survive. The only thing that can hold back altcoins might be government regulations, but if there are such regulations, investors like us will be in trouble even if we invest in bitcoin. Many people expect altcoins to die because they are so full of scams and trash, but I don't want that because if it's only bitcoin, it can't be called a market.
1565  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: December 15, 2022, 08:15:49 AM
As far as I could tell from the publicly available evidence, so far Europe has only been capable of substituting a small portion of the gas they have been importing from Russia. The only reason why they claim their storages are full (which I doubt that too considering the shortage and blackouts that are starting, but that's a different story) is that they significantly reduced consumption by shutting down industries. A de-industrialization so to speak.

Contrary to what you may think, in many countries the biggest consumers are not home users but the factories. When you shut them down, you decrease the consumption or "demand" by a lot so that you can manage the low "supply" you already have for home users. This is actually one of the reason why gas price came down slightly.

In my opinion, here it is necessary to take into account one circumstance.

Man is a primate who has learned to solve all the problems that arise before him.  Yes, the solution of the problem may take some time, but it is safe to say that sooner or later the problem will be solved.

At present, Russia is trying to create problems for Europe, forgetting that Europe for Russia is a buyer, a client and a source of income.  Buyers (customers) need to be taken care of, not create problems for them.

If you create problems for your customers, you will soon find yourself in a situation where you yourself will have big problems.

Is Russia causing trouble for the EU or is the EU trying to cause trouble for Russia?
What you say is true in business, a business needs customers to make a profit. But if sales don't turn a profit or customers become too unlikeable, then as a business capable of producing products, we have more than enough power to find better customers.

Back to the EU and Russia, I don't believe the EU will find a cheap and quality gas source like Russia, the EU knows that, and they don't want to lose this lucrative supply. But unfortunately, the gas pipeline has a problem, and they have no choice but to suspend gas imports from Russia (partly because they have also filled up their gas storage for this year). On the Russian side, they are turning to Asia, although there will be initial difficulties, it shows that Russian gas is needed by many other countries, not just the EU. India and China alone, the world's two most populous countries, have been able to fill the void left by the EU.

I am a supporter of the state being run by merchants, not warriors.

Gas pipelines should bring income to Russia, and the funds received should be directed to the acquisition of technologies and the development of complex technological industries in the country.  I believe that gas pipelines should not be used for political blackmail.  And even if you are provoked to such actions, then you cannot succumb to such provocations.

Unlike warriors, merchants do not divide customers into good and bad.  From the trader's point of view, customers are divided into solvent and insolvent.

Russia was wrong to turn gas into a political weapon, but who was the first provocateur, who froze Russia's foreign exchange reserves in European banks, confiscating billions of dollars worth of billionaires' assets Russia?...What I find most humiliating for the west is that they even banned the Russian football team from the WC, football is considered a sport that is not politicized, and there are thousands of crap bans they impose on Russia. I believe they have run out of options to punish Russia.
If someone attacked you, would you stand still and let them hit you, or would you find a way to attack them back?
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 12, 2022, 02:40:05 PM
I was very surprised to see the batting of the Indian women's team against the Australian bowlers. Australia Women's bowling line-up is one of the strongest bowling line-ups in women's cricket. It was not easy to score 187 runs against them. After Australia set a target of 188 I was sure they would win this match like the first match. But the Indian opener Smriti Mandhana's excellent batting managed to draw the match. Smriti Mandhana scored 79 runs off just 49 balls. Slowly the Indian women's team is improving. In the future, they will play to win the Women's World Cup.
This Indian W team has been performing pretty well since 2017-18 and only team to challenge Australian W dominance in Women's cricket.

These girls are famous to break Aussie winning streak from time to time, they did it in 2017-18 ODI WC and last night they repeated the same. This is 1st T-20 loss for AUSW team in 2022, you can imagine how dominating they are.

The crowd is responding amazingly to Women's cricket in India. It was full house last night (tickets were free for Women) and at Hotstar live viewers crossed 1 million. This is a bilateral series which came at the right time, credit goes to BCCI for their strategy and both teams for putting up a good show for the spectators. I firmly believe it'll hype WIPL.

I can honestly say that Indian women are improving in cricket, and that is probably a big reason why they are being in a position to pull so much support right now. And the last match of the Indian women’s team against the Australian women’s team was absolutely unbelievable. I didn't think they would be able to do it, at least. But the way they started playing in the super over made me believe in India again. And they have been able to achieve this very difficult win.

Things are looking really promising, and I think popularity is going to be favorable for the women’s IPL. India performing so well against the Australian team is also going to be a positive step into the women’s IPL.

If $100.000 is just for investment and i don't need that money, i would definitely invest in Bitcoin. Yes fixed interest rate and risk free investment may be attractive for everyone but there is no situation to double their investment. I take the risks that may arise by investing in Bitcoin. But the possibility of my btc investment to grow in a short time excites me more. On the contrary, if my assets decrease, i will not be upset because there will be an amount that I do not need. The idea of fixed income is not for me there are always risks in my investment. But i do not make risky investments with my last balance.
It's not a small amount, but if it's free and, in case of loss, it doesn't affect my life or other expenses, then I would also risk investing it all in bitcoin. If unfortunately, bitcoin can't rise again, I will lose nothing but if bitcoin hits 100k or 500k in the future I will become rich, then it's worth the trade-off. But if that's all I have, I will only invest 40% in bitcoin and 30% in other assets, the remaining 30% will be put in the bank.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 11, 2022, 06:29:28 PM
Real Madrid football is shifting towards the Brazilian football school. They are expanding their roster with talented Brazilian football players. Madrid was a team that loved attack and speed, crushing the opponent with long balls. Together with the Brazilians, i think it will be one of the teams with the most foot pass traffic. Real Madrid have reached a deal with Palmeiras for 16yo Endrick for a 72M Euro package. The Brazilian young starlet will join the Real Madrid squad in July 2024. Endrick will sign a five year contract with Real Madrid on 21 July 2024. Young talent will be in Madrid at the age of 18. Thus Real Madrid will have added another Brazilian young talent to its roster at the beginning of his career after Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
=
Real Madrid shoudn't focused all their scouting on Brazilian players, I understand they're skillful but lets not forget they enjoy partying too much and if they're together in one club that can be dangerous as they'll want to go hangout instead of concentrating on playing soccer. Also the current Brazilian footballers just want to dribbling into the goal post and non learnt shooting from distance which Brazil really needed in their game against Croatia which they lost.

Football is evolving and a club should have every sector covered, some teams might be hard to break through their defense with dribbling and in situations like that you'll need players that can shoot, Real Madrid don't have that and the Brazilian players they're going after can't give them that.

I do not think that the Real Madrid scouts only targeting the Brazilian players. In general, as long as they discover a new young talent they will try to acquire him, and this is also the case for Endrick this time as well. During the past few years, Real Madrid have been trying to acquire young talents in their squad which has been a good change of focus for them since they were used to buying star players in the past. Aurélien Tchouameni, Vincius Jr., Rodrygo, and Eduardo Camavinga are some of the younger talents that they have bought, and now they are targeting the Brazilian youngster Endrick.

In my country local exchange market have pretty strict rules before building with exchange market until when registering with new altcoin listing,  must obtain permission from the competent authority when try listing with new coin and have clearly background about new coin listing in our local exchange market.

This will have both advantages and disadvantages, with the intervention and strict management of regulations, scams will not happen. But with the management of the authorities, altcoins do not have a chance to be hyped and therefore do not bring significant returns to investors.
I like to take risks and take risks to get high returns, so I don't like regulation, regulation will make the volatility of cryptocurrencies disappear, that's the appeal of cryptocurrencies compared to other markets.
1572  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: December 11, 2022, 01:54:20 PM
Of course the most loss is Europe because gas supply is not easy and it is very difficult to find alternative energy for gas, especially many countries that are very dependent on Russian gas so that it becomes a strong bargaining value so that Europe does not dare to attack or invasion Russia.
The war has entered its 10th month, Russia and the EU have continuously introduced sanctions against each other, so far no country has won a victory. Recently, the EU also launched new sanctions to impose an oil price ceiling on Russia and Russia threatened to retaliate. Overall, Russia is unlikely to be damaged and the EU is unlikely to win. But what I see is that oil supply will be cut and oil prices will skyrocket in the near term is very high and the world will continue to fall into the energy crisis again and push inflation higher.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 11, 2022, 11:05:22 AM
If Barcelona can improve more in their next matches ,I guess they will have something to win either la Liga league title or Europa league title because they cannot miss the two trophy this season. Barcelona results for this season show that they will move to first position in the la Liga league table after the holiday to make their fans believe that this season, they must break the record to win the trophy and and to try to struggle for second position in the Europa league competition.
I feel they have enough opportunity to win La Liga, they have most of the players ready if not all back from the FIFA World Cup and also those players Injured. If I'm correct then, they have the full squad set for the second half of the season.
Focusing on Europa game's and La Liga would out some important player's to injury which will affect the squad entirely.

For the check, they're already maintaining the number 1st position after Real Madrid failed to win a game to make the points tie. I believe Barcelona still needs some more players to support the squad, they are just having financial issues currently, once that's solved, they are getting quality lad's in.

Due to the fact that Barcelona does not have any tension about the Champions League or anything else, they should be able to perform well. The only thing they can think about right now is the La Liga title.

I am not saying that this is going to be easy. But it is certainly going to be less difficult compared to when they had to think about what La Liga and Champions League were together.

Now they have the first position. I am quite certain that it is going to be very challenging for them to stay in the first position. Real Madrid is about to give them really fierce competition. However, it is pertinent to point out that Barcelona is not very clear in terms of points when it comes to Real Madrid. They are very reachable at the moment. So Barcelona will have to be very careful. They do have financial problems, but that cannot be an excuse. Because even with financial problems they have brought in very expensive players.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Discussion Thread on: December 10, 2022, 07:03:41 PM
This England versus France match seems to be one of the most important matches of the tournament and in my opinion, the winner of this match might win the World Cup trophy. Both the teams are really strong in their respect. I personally think that Kylian Mbappe's performance will be a key factor in France's game. England really have a well-rounded team with many young players and so does France. Overall I am not sure who will win the game but what I am sure it is that we will get a great game of football.

England VS France game will determine who will win this trophy, because any team that will qualify for semi final in this game will have the opportunity to win their next game to stand for final. Despite the two teams are among the strong teams in this FIFA world cup but France will surely have the opportunity to win England 2-1 in this game to stand in a good position to continue the journey. No matter how tough the game maybe today, England will surely achieve a goal from this game but it will be difficult for them to win France.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: December 10, 2022, 11:47:51 AM
-snip
Well after the jesus injury, I do agree that it would be a lot harder for Arsenal to win the tournament as well. I am not saying that it would be impossible, but it would be a bit harder than usual and it would be a bit more difficult.
I do agree that they do have a big chance, between Juventus, United, Barcelona and Arsenal, these four teams are the big clubs that could have a chance at the title but aside from them I am not sure if there are any teams that could win the title and it could be quite difficult to achieve. Long story short Arsenal is not the biggest candidate to win, whoever wins out of United vs Barcelona will be the biggest chance to win, but Arsenal is not too far from it neither.
First of all I should give some information about Jesus' injury. I have seen on some news sources like Jesus' return will be in early March. If this is true than it is really sad news for Arsenal.

However Arsenal have already proven how strong they can play in Jesus' absence also. Jesus couldn't score any goal after the last match he did on October 1. But Arsenal still didn't get affected by that in a negative way. They still continued to get very positive results by scoring many goals in total. They lost only once which was in a Europa League match. They won nearly all of their Premier League matches in this period of time. This is a proof for how strong they can play as a team even in this kind of situations.

Therefore I'm still seeing Arsenal as the biggest favourite here also.

It is not my intention to imply that Arsenal will be completely thrown out of the tournament due to the injury sustained by Gabriel Jesus.
But in my opinion, Arsenal plays slightly better with him in the squad.

Considering the fact that he joined the squad only recently, we have seen that his chemistry with his teammates is fairly effective. Moreover, him being injured means the coach has one less attacker to work with which narrows down his options to rotate the squad regularly. If what you say is true and Jesus returns in early March, that is going to be a really big blow for Arsenal in my opinion. It is just my hope that his teammates will be able to fill his shoes quite well.

This is actually a nice and welcoming development and I'm happy for you.
Your shop looks great and the fact that you accept Bitcoin is a great and bold step and I hope your country doesn't have any law against tye use of Bitcoin.
His shop has been accepting bitcoins for a month and no problem, which means his country accepts bitcoins, and he is a lucky person to live in such a place. I wish my country would legalize bitcoin one day; no legal tender is needed, just recognized as a means of payment, that's all.

The idea of you also printing your QR code for customers to just scan when Making purchase is also best for me but hope when it's time for transactions, it will done somewhere  with the eyes of people, because it seems your shop has a open space and a person like me wouldn't want to make it obvious that I'm paying with Bitcoin.
If you have agreed to use bitcoin for daily payments, then you cannot expect no one to know you are not a bitcoiners. I think that's also why many people don't like to pay with bitcoin because they're afraid of their identity being exposed.

Great one there, but I hope you didn't force any of those viewers and learners to invest in Bitcoin.
Why do you think he will force or entice people to buy bitcoin? This is a bitcoin seminar, that means he is trying to teach people about bitcoin, not a workshop on a Ponzi project to lure people into investing in a scam project for profit. In the end, even if people did buy bitcoin, he would not benefit from it, so there is no reason for him to make them buy it.

Tell and teach them not to focus on the volatility of the fluctuating price of Bitcoin but to gradually buy little Bitcoins.
Storage of these Bitcoin and Privacy should have at least been communicated, avoid what they call exchnages at all cost, they are no different from banks.

Government are behind it all but no matter what they do to increase the hike rates, Bitcoin still surpassed all of the fiat currencies.
Thanks for making awareness about Bitcoin at your corner, Adoption of Bitcoin will take some time Bitcoin is still very early.
Educate them about bitcoin, and it's up to them whether they use bitcoin as a means of payment, as an investment tool, or as a means of storing assets.
1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: December 09, 2022, 09:50:55 AM
I wish I knew this earlier. Long-term investment is a lot less stress free and things are a lot easier when we are talking about not looking at the prices every 5 minutes. People do not realize this of course, and that causes a little bit of trouble, but the reality is that the best thing we could do is long term investment.
because people, especially novice investors, have the assumption that crypto can bring quick profits by means of short-term investments.
even though indirectly it is very risky and more stressful when every time you have to see the price of the coin you are holding.
some people also don't realize that long term investment is actually more profitable and more comfortable especially if we hold the right coin like top 10 in coinmarketcap.

to be honest, after I experienced for myself how easy it is to invest long-term and greatly minimize the risk of selling too fast and high prices when the bullish season arrives.

Long-term investing is much more comfortable than trading or speculating, but it depends on the asset you choose to hold. I don't think holding ten top coins will make you feel comfortable, I mean investing in altcoins shouldn't be considered long-term. If you were a victim of the Luna or FTX crash, you wouldn't consider altcoins a safe long-term investment. For this market, long term investment is only correct if your portfolio is bitcoin, the rest is not suitable for long term investment.
1579  Economy / Economics / Re: FTX Drama and Global Empact on: December 09, 2022, 09:39:19 AM
SBF is bribing a lot of media to spread that it was CZ that caused the collapse of FTX and forced CZ to speak out, while SBF is becoming the real victim. Additionally, he's already donated billions of dollars to politicians, so jailing him is highly unlikely.
He played a very sad story line to hide under the noses of the law enforcement elite, the FTX case never seemed to happen because he seemed to have been "protected" from any law that was against him, I am so sick of seeing him tweet as if without any burden of loss to FTX users, but believe that God will repay him and the elite legal umbrella that protects him will be destroyed along with his life, no evil is eternal in this world.

Justice will not be done by God, I don't think that will happen. This world is always unfair, there are always unfair things happening, so let's protect ourselves before asking someone for help. FTX is not the first case in the market, we have seen many other deaths before and no one has gone to jail or paid the price, Dokwon is an example. If you want to convict SBF, it would be better to include the people behind him, as I believe he cannot do it alone, and if he goes to jail, it will never make up for what everyone has lost.
1580  Economy / Economics / Re: FTX Drama and Global Empact on: December 09, 2022, 05:46:34 AM
It's not over because they just filed for bankruptcy and haven't actually declared bankruptcy. As far as I know, filing bankruptcy under Chapter 11, FTX will have 3-4 months to complete the procedure as well as have the opportunity to call for support from sponsors and resolve disputes with partners.

In addition to countries with crypto regulations, in countries that do not have crypto laws, investors will be responsible for their investment without the protection of the law, so that no one can sue FTX.
I would guess that bankruptcy is a way to protect themselves on jail time, just saying "sorry we failed" they are just saying "we are upset we failed too, we wanted to do better" and that means they didn't mean to, and it's not their fault, and it's a bit about the market and everything else that went wrong and not them.

This will result with them defending themselves on court by saying "we did nothing illegal; we just couldn't survive because of cash flow and that is economic reason, not jail reason". So, it is obvious that it is all a ruse, and they will not accept fault and this is a proof of that, Sam should be jailed, but he will do everything in his power not to.
It can't go as simple as you think, bro. It is not possible to evade responsibility in this way, as if the collapse was the result of one of the unexpected natural disasters. There is a penal responsibility that must be borne by those in charge of the FTX stock exchange, due to the failure to provide appropriate guarantees that protect users’ investments on the platform, in addition to working to enlarge the platform without taking into account the characteristics of the crypto market, which made the fall resounding and catastrophic.

If it were us, it certainly wouldn't be so easy. But unfortunately, that is happening with SBF, SBF is still free and the victims who lost money don't know where to complain and sue SBF. I haven't seen a lawsuit since FTX collapsed.
SBF is bribing a lot of media to spread that it was CZ that caused the collapse of FTX and forced CZ to speak out, while SBF is becoming the real victim. Additionally, he's already donated billions of dollars to politicians, so jailing him is highly unlikely.
