1561  Economy / Gambling / Re: monthly best gambling site!!! (september edition) on: August 31, 2016, 07:32:13 AM
i think you should start new kind of polls with different games on different lists for example use all the dice sites in one poll, all poker in another and all sports bet on another and so on.

also is there any particular reason why you don't add http://satoshigames.io/ to your list?

i suggested this in the last one too. and i would like to see where they stand in the list after the votes.
1562  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins true potential on: August 31, 2016, 07:28:43 AM
There have been plenty of discussions from time to time on the price speculation of Bitcoin. Where do you guys see the price of one Bitcoin in the years to come?

i see it higher than this.
there has been a good and steady growth when you look at the charts for "all". and this rise has not stopped yet.

Quote
Most importantly, why? How would Bitcoin work?

because of more adoption.
more and more people get to know bitcoin and start using it. there is always a new business or a merchant who starts accepting bitcoin which helps the adoption.
more adoption, more demand , higher price

Quote
Bitcoin can not exist independently without any other currency, because then where do you derive its value?

everything is that way in the world, they take their price from another thing, mostly currency! so i don't understand this part!

Quote
Imagine Bitcoin though is adopted worldwide, as a popular secondary means of processing transactions. What should the value be of a Bitcoin if literally every person who owned a bank account and debit and credit cards also used Bitcoin wallets and bitcoins daily.

this can an can't happen at the same time. because bitcoin has the potential to get there but the government and banks may never allow that to happen if they feel threatened.

Quote
My theory is that the value of a Bitcoin needs to be the sum of all the value of money that exists in the world divided by 21 million bitcoins then adjusted to market price.

Why is Bitcoin priced at what it is today and what is its maximum potential to be valued at?

that is one of putting it.
but i think the maximum is what people are willing to pay for it. so if they are willing to pay $570 for one bitcoin it would be worth $570 and if they are willing to pay a million it would be worth a million
1563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Does it have a POSITIVE IMPACT on your life? on: August 31, 2016, 07:22:33 AM
It has helped me make some money in a time of need. There is such a huge open market for bitcoin that any new business that accepts bitcoin will have a much better chance of surviving the market, in my opinion. It has given me hope in a world that is always changing, that I can adapt and overcome.

for most people around here bitcoin has helped them financially from earning to lower fees and so many discounts from services like purse and gyft.
and also for some like me the earning through bitcoin using trading has been a good help as a second salary.
1564  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is better for bitcoin future? Mass adoption or huge price increase? on: August 31, 2016, 07:19:06 AM
in the long term of how things work for bitcoin i choose mass adoption to have a better and bigger effect on bitcoin. because it is the adoption and adoption only that can help with the growth of bitcoin not sudden temporary swing arounds that can kill bitcoin.
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Monero replace Bitcoin soon? on: August 28, 2016, 03:51:12 AM
i doubt that this can ever happen with monero replacing anything, it is like any other altcoin with too much hot air.

but these days the pump of XMR is awesome and it is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of when the price is rising to make a good amount of profit.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can gambling help you with your life? on: August 28, 2016, 03:46:36 AM
Well in my own opinion. Gambling is really a big help in your daily life especially if you are the type of person who loves to waste your money then gambling would be the best platform in doing it. Grin just kidding tho on the other hand gambling helps people to believe in miracle.
Gambling, help in life or something else, over the years I have not seen anyone gambling helped even in some other climes it is termed a social vice that should be avoided at all cost
I think i heard some poor people are instant rich because of gambling Lottery is one of their hope they are buying ticket to get the jackpot price..
few poor people here in my country they can hit the jackpot and be rich.. because of lottery.

some poor people? maybe one or two got lucky and became rich from lottery. because the chances of winning a lottery is super low. on the other hand hitting a jackpot like on a dice site is more common than winning a lottery and also the reward is also low so you can't become rich from it either.
1567  Other / Off-topic / Re: Help me! Why is it they call gambling a game? on: August 28, 2016, 03:42:04 AM
I am very confuse about what they call the gambling a game >.< its about spending money on nothing then why is it called a game? why don't call it money investment? kindly explain please? Thank you Cheesy

have you ever opened one of these gambling sites? like your own signature for example (777coin) these are all games from a simple dice game to more complicated card games that you play.

and as it was said before in other topics a million times, gambling is not an investment because even though you can make profit from it, gambling is so unpredictable unlike investment.
1568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS Time on: August 28, 2016, 03:39:00 AM
All the altcoins and all the faint are the compitetors of bitcoin but can it beat itself on the time period. We know that before a long time ago during bitcoin launch time mt. Gox exchange was the reason who rised its price from 5$ to 1000$ and i do not think we have seen any year like that.so can anyone can say about it?or any precious year your remember

it wasn't a rise from 5 to 1000 and also mtgox was not the only reason for it, it was like a fuel to an already rising rocket.
the rise so far is generic and is happening slowly with little manipulation ever and so it is more stable with less risk of big drops. and as long as bitcoin usability continues to grow the price will grow with it.
1569  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dump or long term goals? on: August 28, 2016, 03:29:10 AM
We have seen a lot of people waiting in high anticipation for a BIG increase in the price during the Halving event. How many people wanted this to happen, just to dump and run

yeah, sadly a lot of bitcoin users/investors are in it only for the profit and will dump as soon as there is a price rise to go back to their fiats as soon as possible.

Quote
and how many of them were ignoring this and are in this for the long haul?

there are many that are in it for the long haul but this should be at least 90% of investors not a small group.

Quote
I was planning to sell some coins at a inflated price to enjoy the fruit of my labour, but decided to hold a little longer. I already more than doubled the amount I spend on the investment a year ago, when the price were $200+ ... but greed wants me to hoard a little bit longer. How many others wanted to do the same? I will never sell everything, but I want to enjoy the profits.  Roll Eyes

we all want profit in one way or another. i too have wanted to sell and made sure to sell bitcoin but i bough back with most of the money that i got and now i have even more bitcoin because of this simple act.
1570  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Skills vs Luck *poll* on: August 27, 2016, 04:57:26 AM
i say both are key when trading but their percentage of effectiveness is a lot different and it depends on the situation and also the experience of the trader.

for an experienced trader the luck factor is small (<10%) and the less experience the trader has the more dependent on luck he is to a point that some newbies are trading 100% based on luck!
1571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you can control your self when playing gambling? on: August 27, 2016, 04:53:56 AM
in my opinion, you have to have control over yourself when you are gambling otherwise you should not even try it. because not having control has terrible consequences which can lead to disasters.

besides controlling yourself is not a hard thing, especially if you have just started gambling. you have to practice it for your life too.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your gambling strategy on: August 27, 2016, 04:46:35 AM
My strategy in gambling is to play in sports betting since it's skill based, and betting on top teams on a popular league/tournament may guarantee you some money if you're smart enough.  Grin

Betting on top teams could increase the winning chance but there is no way to make guaranteed profit even sports betting too, sports betting is mostly based on our skill and how wise we are to pick the option fro betting, sports betting is also my favorite form for gambling so that I can say this it has good chance to make profit.
of course noone can guarantee you can make profit ,
but at least with this choosing favorites club strategy in sportsbetting i guess it is better than gambling blindly ,
it has a low odds or multiplier but it has a better chance ,
bet for top teams or top player are a reasonable strategy than any other strategies.

yeah, its better  to  bet  on sports than to play  other gambling games which you are  blindly playing same as you said. Sports betting could  have the possiblity to increase your chance you winning rate  if you are  knowledgeable enough  to those teams or players you bet it would not make a guarantee win always but the possibility is high.

sports betting is not for everyone, you have to have a lot of information about the games and the players of those games. and in some cases you have to have been following the teams closely to be able to predict their win or loss and be able to make a bet and win. otherwise there is no point in sports betting if you don't know anything.

Yeah I agree on that because what you really need is some experience too beside every single information that you can get. Moreover there is a lot of pro and contra information thats why you really need experience to determine which team you are going to bet

experience and the information is all good and useful but in the end everything can turn with luck.
we have all seen many different games that had an unbelievable result in the end. so many good teams that lost to an unknown team with bad record and a lot of other situations.
1573  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain is charging high fees - $0.25 for sending 1 Bitcoin transfer on: August 27, 2016, 04:33:59 AM
At least it's not $1.9 for a $20 deal just like paypal charged me.
I think bitcoin fees in block chain even still low.
I agree, anyway , run your own node and sent money free lol

what is up with this misleading comments. i see another one up there from a legendary member which is so much weirder! and it was explained before!

running a full node only lets you broadcast your tx with whatever fee you like (even zero/free) but miners decide to include your tx in a block or not so in fact it doesn't matter in the end.
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why isn't there an Altcoin capable of overtaking Bitcoin ? on: August 27, 2016, 04:28:50 AM
Just wondering why. Do you have a clue to that ?

because none of the altcoins are created to do that.
instead whenever someone starts a new altcoin project the only thing in his mind is the amount of money he can get out of it. so all the projects turn into pump and dumps and die after the dev moves on to the next project and more money.

besides when there is a good thing going on (with bitcoin) people will not look for a substitute.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin casinos for iPad on: August 27, 2016, 04:24:04 AM
Their are so many sites i think which are supporting Ipad and smartphones as now adays their are so many users who are preferring to use phones for gambling, but i dont prefer to user mobile devices to play gambling as it is not reliable if the mobile software get corrupted then we dont have access to the wallet anyway so it is highly risky.
In my experience its not to good to gamble in mobile its small view unlike in laptops or desktop so also me i dont recommend it sometimes the site is buggy and you will not notice that your balance was drain..

Where did you see those bugs?

So far I have had no problems while playing with the mobile version of any online casino.

there are a lot of differences between the devices you use (phone, tablet,...), is it android,.... , the browser you use and a lot of other stuff.

so you can't really give a general reply to this question. and i think the best way to find this out is if OP tries them out himself.
1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling Investments on: August 27, 2016, 04:18:55 AM
Approximately 3 weeks now - 2 sites up, 3 sites down:

to be honest i was to see the best results from moneypot because of the way it is designed but it seems like each week they have the worst results.

but crypto-games is giving you good results each week which is what i also expected.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Didn't know I can loss all without winning anything on: August 27, 2016, 04:11:14 AM
So I was a bit bored today and I thought to play slots to pass time.
I chose bitstarz since I already got an account in there and I deposited 0.02 btc. I began playing Hyde and Jekyl with 30 credits per bet and right then I lost all 0.02 btc without winning anything. I didn't thought I can loose in gambling consecutive times without winning in a single roll until what happened today.

I immediately regret playing slots.

Just wanted to share this stupidity of mine. I could've jut playe it in dice site. The result would have been the oter way around.
Especially for slot machine, you can easily be targeted as the one who will lose consecutively. There are a lot of cases whereby people win a lot from these slot machine and that also means that there is even more people who loses even more back to the machine. These is how slots are programmed.
gambling has some kinds of game that depends on your luck, just like that you've played and lost all your bitcoin. I agree that more people get loss than they're who had win, because it designed that way. We have to choose wisely what kind of gambling to play, I suggest a game that requires some skills and experiences to win it, like poker.

it all comes down to three things and only three things when it comes to gambling.
1) the game you are playing: dice, poker, sports betting, roulette
2) the strategy you are using
3) your luck
all of these are important with the same level of importance. and you can control 1 and 2 but not 3.
1578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitGo, Coinbase Vaut or Paper Wallet for secure long term storage on: August 27, 2016, 04:07:28 AM
Why not use some of the downloaded wallets such as Multibit or Electrum? Those are probably the only wallets you can count on not scamming you and/or being "hacked". But anyhow, I'd suggest Coinbase Vault if you are really sure about it.

simply downloading those wallets and using them is not going to ensure your security. you have to do some extra stuff to increase your level of security:
1) downloading the wallet files from official sites and checking their signature.
2) encrypting your wallet file with a password.
3) having anti virus and taking other security measures to not get infected
4) using cold storage
1579  Other / Archival / Re: Do you have paypal account even though you have bitcoin? on: August 27, 2016, 03:53:08 AM
This true. It should not be even a matter of question whether to have either or both because the wise person will have both paypal and bitcoin wallets. Both can easily be created and maintain and there is no significant reason why you dump one in favor of the other because they are both handy and for our convenience.

You have a point. But it's not for being a wise.

There are different kinds of customers globally so putting only one payment method in a certain online merchant will just result for limited options by those customers and it will just result for customers to find another merchants.

That's why having a Paypal account together with bitcoin is not a big deal after all because after all bitcoin today can't even touch the majority of merchants that uses Paypal as one of the payment method.

don't forget that having lots of options is not good either. it is wrong to think adding lots of payment options will bring more customers to you. but instead it has been studies that having more than a handful of choices makes customers confused and they may not choose any at all.
1580  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitPistol - Are you smart enough to solve these puzzle? >>> TEST your brains <<< on: August 25, 2016, 11:36:31 AM
How do you know bullet 2 hit first ? I'm not convinced. If it was a stub nose or hallow tip you wouldn't know, the whole window would shatter. I think there will be more cracks then that. Most windows are shatter proof so they shatter like small spider webs all around the window. Either that or it shatters completely. That is why when someone breaks into a car you can't use a bat you need something with a small tip. Small tips with a lot of force behind it will shatter a shatter proof window. Without shatter proof the whole thing would just shatter from anything no matter wide or narrow. So a bat would shatter the whole window.

Also recoil climbs and goes side ways. Bullet number 1 looks like it would hot first then the recoils starts to climb. Bullets never ever go top to bottom .

you are overthinking all of it and you are also wrong about it all.

it is all about Fracture Mechanics.
propagation of a crack in a brittle material to be exact. in general when a crack reaches a stop (here it is another crack) it stops unless there is more force which will shatter the glass.
so when the cracks which were started from 1 or 3 reach the pre-existing cracks of source 2 they stop.

you can read more about this in fracture mechanics part of Dieter's book
